A/N: So here's the second update, there may be more tonight, if there isn't check back tomorrow. Can Tamsin fight what is being done to her? Honestly, your guess is as good as mine right now (I always write this part before the actual chapter, so we'll find out). Read, review and enjoy!

Chapter Thirty Seven

Tamsin opened her eyes to find Mena crouched down in front of her, head cocked slightly to one side, a fascinated look on her face.

"Why do you fight it Tamsin?" Mena asked.

"Because I can." Tamsin replied.

"Just accept the truth, it will be easier." She said.

"I know the truth," Tamsin said, "I know how Bo feels about me…"

"Then why did she go off with Rainer?" Mena asked, "Why did you have to watch her be with both the human doctor and the wolf? So much just doesn't add up."

"Have you ever been in love?" Tamsin asked in reply.

"Love is a pointless exercise, put in place so we fail," Mena replied, "love is nothing but a chemical reaction in a weak mind."

"Take that as a no then shall I…" Tamsin said with a little laugh, "I used to think the same way you do…"

"What changed?" Mena asked.

"I met Bo…" Tamsin replied.

"She made you turn your back on everything you are," Mena said, "You betrayed everyone and everything for her, why?"

"Because she is everything to me." Tamsin replied.

Lauren could see how much Tamsin's disappearance was bothering Bo. She decided to call her bosses to find out if they knew anything. She walked outside the Dal to make the call.

"It's me, the Valk…" she said as they picked up, stopping herself from saying the full word, "Tamsin has gone missing…"

Lauren calling Tamsin the Valkyrie felt wrong, it felt cold. She knew she had a hell of a lot of making up to do, to everyone, but to Tamsin more so.

"What do you mean she's gone missing?" the man asked.

"Exactly what I said," Lauren replied, "she's gone missing. She was last seen leaving the Dal Riata this afternoon, no one has seen or heard from her since, do you know anything about it?"

"No," he said, sounding a little worried, "we have agents watching her…"

"Well obviously they aren't doing a very good job are they?" Lauren said.

"Let me find out what's going on and get back to you." The guy said.

Lauren hung up her phone, she sighed before putting it back in her pocket.

"Anything?" Bo asked from where she was standing in the doorway of the Dal.

"Sorry Bo…" Lauren said, turning to face the Succubus.

Bo nodded, smiled a little and wrapped her arms around herself.

"She has to be somewhere Lauren…" she said, tears starting to build in her eyes.

"We'll find her," Lauren said, walking up to the Succubus, softly placing her hands on Bo's shoulders and looking her in the eye, "we'll have Dyson put a trace on her phone, we'll call up every contact she has that we know of… we'll go to Evony… we'll find her."

Bo nodded a little.

"Okay…" Bo said quietly.

Tamsin spat the blood out of her mouth and looked at Rainer.

"Repeat after me Tamsin," he said, "Bo is a problem that has to be stopped."

"Rainer," Tamsin said with a smirk, "you're an asshole, knew that the moment I laid eyes on you."

"Still not losing any of that fight, huh Tamsin…" Rainer said.

"Let me out of this chair and I'll show you just how much fight I have." Tamsin replied.

"No can do," Rainer replied with a smile, "I'm not going to live till the battle, but you are. You are the only one who can stop her Tamsin, you're the only one who can stop Bo."

Bo, Kenzi, Lauren and Dyson were all in Bo's car, heading out to the point where the signal on Tamsin's phone was last picked up.

"There's nothing there D…" Kenzi said, tapping away on her laptop in the backseat of the car.

"There has to be something." Dyson said, "That exact point is where her phone was last picked up by the towers."

"Seriously, there is nothing there," Kenzi replied, "It's just open fields, a few trees, possibly a lake… no buildings, nothing."

Lauren looked over at the laptop screen.

"See…" Kenzi said, pointing her finger at the centre of the map on the screen.

"She's right Dyson," Lauren said, "there is nothing there…"

"There has to be something…" Dyson said, looking over at Bo who was sitting the passenger seat, looking out of the window.

"Maybe they dumped the phone…" Kenzi said, knowing that the softly softly approach wasn't a good idea with Bo.

"Kenzi's right…" Bo said, still looking out of the window into the darkness beyond, "they probably dumped it… I mean, they probably knew we'd trace it…

"On the bright side," Dyson said, "if they had her here when they were dumping her phone I might be able to pick up a scent…"

"Yeah…" Bo replied, "and you might not…"

About 10 minutes later they pulled over at a roadside diner so Bo could use the bathroom. While she was inside Kenzi had an idea.

"Does it seem to you guys that Bo is giving up?" Kenzi asked.

"That's what it sounds like." Dyson said.

"Which is so very unlike Bo…" Lauren said.

"What if it's to do with the bond…?" Kenzi said, "what if Bo is feeling like she should give up because Tamsin is giving up…"

"She wouldn't…" Lauren replied.

"Maybe she has no choice." Dyson said, looking towards the door of the diner as Bo walked back out to the car.

Tamsin shook her head a little as Mena readied herself for another attack on Tamsin's mental capacity.

"Why don't you just give it up Tamsin?" Mena said.

"No…" Tamsin said, trying to get her eyes to focus.

"You're powerless to fight back, you're going to have to give it up eventually," Mena replied with a laugh, "if I keep it up much longer you're going to end up with serious brain damage."

"You're not as strong as you think you are." Tamsin said, "If the roles were reversed I would've had you begging for your life and believing my every word by now."

"I know how you operate Tamsin," Mena said, "I know your weaknesses… you trained me, you taught me everything you know."

"Not everything," Tamsin replied with a smirk, "I might have trained you, and taught you how to attack, but I didn't really teach you how to defend… you have no idea how to completely break down my defence's kid."

"She might not," Freya said, walking into the room, "but I do."

"Sending in the big guns already," Tamsin said with a laugh, "must be really desperate."

"You have no idea…" Freya replied, her features starting to darken.

"Are you coming Bo?" Dyson asked as he, Lauren and Kenzi got out of the car.

"What's the point," Bo said, "even if her phone is there, she obviously isn't."

Lauren, Dyson and Kenzi all looked at each other.

"It's getting worse." Kenzi said.

As Freya walked back into the room Odin looked at her.

"He's gone," Odin said, "that stupid Druid didn't heal him at all, it was a temporary fix."

"It doesn't matter," Freya said, "we don't need him anymore."

Behind Freya he saw Tamsin roll her neck until it clicked, then she looked directly at him.

"What do you need me to do?" The Valkyrie asked.

"Break down the group from the inside," Odin said, "turn them against each other, and when the time comes…"

"Kill the Succubus." Tamsin said, matter of factly.
