Chapter 37: Party Time!
As soon as they pulled up to the club, they could hear music coming from inside and knew that this was going to be an amazing reception party. Throttle and Charley walked in first and then Jasmine and Jenner.
The tables were moved off to the side and towards the front of the club. Every pole had been used as part of the decor and were wrapped in shiny red and black Christmas garlands. The floor had so much glitter and confetti on it that it crinkled as they walked. Angel always felt as though you could never have to much glitter. But, she was smart enough to make sure there was none in the dancing area.
They placed the DJ up on the stage so he wouldn't be in the way and made sure that he wouldn't starve or get thirsty while up there.
"Welcome to the Davidson reception hall everyone! This is going to be so awesome!" The DJ excitedly announced.
Everyone was laughing at how the day had turned out.
"Now, I could do something a little slow for Chi-town's hottest building for off the most awesome group but...What fun would that be!? Here's a little something to get everyone's blood pumping and make you wanna throw on your dancing shoes" he stated as he put in a musical number from Grease:
It didn't take Jenner and Jasmine long before they jumped out onto the dance floor and decided to do their rendition of the song by limp syncing to the music. Jenner tossed off his jacket and it landed on the glittered floor. He fell to his knees as he sang.

Jasmine chuckled but followed suit out onto the dance floor. She used her kitten heel to gently nudge him backwards before walking away from him, holding the skirt of her dress at her hips. He quickly got up and followed behind her.

She turned around and placed a hand on his shoulder. She walked gently danced him backwards before turning around. He followed her, keeping an eye on bottom. She turned around and pursed her lips at him.

Turning back around, Jasmine skipped away from Jenner and mimicked her her dance moves. He went back to his knees when she turned to face him. He was practically drooling as she rocked her hips to the music. She leaned forward and encouraged him to follow her finger.

Jenner jumped up and followed her around the dance floor. She stopped and allowed him to slide his hands up her legs and to her waist.

Jenner then came in behind her and placed his hands on her waist. They took turns shimmying from one side to the other to look at each.

Jenner twirled Jasmine towards him and then wrapped his arms around her waist. They both laughed and kissed before being greeted with a round of applause from the audience.
"I guess you haven't lost your touch handsome" Jasmine smiled at her husband as they walked off the dance floor.
"Nope and I guess I'll be pulling glitter out of the this jacket for the next month or at least until someone else in the family gets married" Jenner chuckled as he looked as his brother and Carbine. They had become inseparable over the last couple of weeks and it was obvious that they were in love.
"Alright! Let's give a round of applause to two people who know how to cut a rug with the best of them!" the DJ stated and raised his hands to clap and everyone else joined in.
"Now, let's get one for the bride and groom and slow things just a taste" the DJ changed the music over to Dirty Dancing.

Everyone watched as Throttle and Charley walked out onto the dance floor. Throttle took one of her hands, that had some of her dress picked up so she wouldn't trip, in his and placed his other hand on her waist. Charley placed her free hand on his shoulder and gazed up lovingly at Throttle.

They followed in sync with the music. Charley stepped backwards and Throttle's foot followed as they stepped and twirl around the dance floor.

He spun her away from him and then she twirled back into his embrace.

As they continued to dance around the floor, no one noticed an uninvited guest walk through the front door. This person was dress in a simple black knee length dress with capped sleeves. She also wore a small pillbox style hat on top of her silvery white hair. She would put someone in mind of a very haughty wealthy woman.

As she made her way up to the edge of the dance floor, she stared at the young couple with extreme interest. She sighed as she watched them move gracefully across the floor. Still, no one noticed her at that moment.

A sadness crept into her eyes as she longed to be that young again and so full of hope. To actually be in love with the husband of her choosing. A tear trickled down her slightly withered face and she tried very carefully to wipe it away.

"Hey. You made it!" Jenner said to the older woman as he placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Yes. Yes I did" she said as she looked up at the handsome man her daughter had chosen to marry.
"Jenner?" Jasmine questioned as she joined her husband in front of a frail older woman and then gasped.
"Mother?" Jasmine was shocked. She hadn't seen her mother since she left home all those years ago.

"Yes. It's me" she said.
"But how?" Jasmine asked as she reached out to hug her mom for the first time in years. It felt so good to have her mom hug her back. Both women cried with joy and sadness.
"You're charming husband invited me to meet my granddaughter for the first time. He told me he wasn't taking 'no' for an answer. I can see now why you married him. Handsome and charming and quite the rogue I should say" she stated.
"Please tell me dad isn't here" Jasmine said as she listened to the song come to an end and Throttle and Charley joined them.
"No. Your father died several years ago. I had no idea where you were my dear because you never sent any letters to apprise me of what was happening in your life" she said.
"Mom. Dad." Charley said as she joined her parents who seemed to be very interested in an older woman who walked into the club.
"Charlene, may I introduce to your grandmother, Crystal Basheer" Jasmine said with a happy smile.
"Grandma?" Throttle and Charley looked at each other and then back at her grandmother.
"I, for one, plan on not missing out on anymore events in my family's life. I sold everything in New York and am planning to move to Chicago. I was under the impression that there was a very vacant crumbling building that I could probably acquire for very little money. I have to leave something of value to my granddaughter. And, I think a magnificent high rise would do just the trick for interplanetary establishments. Specifically between Earth and Mars " Crystal chuckled. She had heard about the Biker Mice from Mars and their need for an actually base of operations on Earth and far be it for her to turn down intergalactic relations.
"Yeah. The Limburger Tower. May need to be fumigated and kind of put back together again" Throttle chuckled.
"Well, that's no problem. What's the point in having money if you don't spend it on good causes? I do have one question though" Crystal laughed.
"What's that?" Jasmine asked finally finding her family circle complete.
"What should we name it?" Crystal states.
"How about we call it The Gemini Tower?" Jewel said as she and Stoker decided to join in on the conversation.
"The Gemini Tower?" Jasmine arched an eyebrow at her sister and then smiled as she watched Stoker wrap an arm around her waist.
"After the twins. I mean, we are talking about two words that are homes to different races that are all fighting for the same cause" Jewel supplied.
"I like it" Crystal agreed with her younger daughters statement and then smiled when she saw the rosy warm glow on her face. Jewel had found love in the most strangest of places.
"I think this calls for a toast. No alcohol for Charley! Sorry girl, love ya though" Angel exclaimed as she had the bartender pass out glasses of wine.
"Why's that?" Crystal inquired over her granddaughter not being included.
"Because mother, she's going to make you a great grandmother in about eight months" Jasmine laughed as a glass of wine was handed to her.
"Oh dear me. I am getting old" Crystal exclaimed as she looked at Charley and smiled. She knew she wasn't missing out on this little one's birth.
"I wouldn't say that" Charley said as a glass of root beer was handed to her.
"Shall we?" Stoker exclaimed as everyone joined in a circle with a glass raised into the air.
"To THE GEMINI TOWER!" Throttle said.
"To GEMINI!" everyone else exclaimed as they clinked their glasses together.
I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter. As you can tell, I am starting to wind things down and tie up any loose ends that may have been dangling earlier. If anyone sees something that I need to cover in the next couple of chapters, please feel free to let me know and I will tie that in.
