Its been four years since James was born and he was currently playing with his newest gaming system that Kol had bought him which Elena completely disapproved of after James threw a Klaus like tantrum and broke the last one.
"Alright James turn it off it's time to go, a hybrid will be waiting at the airport and you know your father doesn't like you spending a lot of time with them." "I know. But Mommy?" Elena turned to look at her frown son. "What is it sweetie?" "My birthday is in three days and I wanted to tell you what I want.
"Well go ahead." She said as they entered the airport to see Trent, Elena's least favorite hybrid waiting to take her son back to the head hybrid himself. She gave Trent that look he knew too well from her, disgust. He tried to ignore it and jut follow orders by bringing James back to Klaus. Unfortunately Elena wasn't going to let it be tat simple.
As Trent bent down to pick up James Elena slide him behind her. "Do I have to call Klaus again?" "No. I just want to know why he always sends you?" "I don't know maybe to annoy you, sinse you two don't really like each other and you hate me too."
Elena growled and gave James a hug and kiss and whispered I love you in his ear. "Wait I didn't tell you what I want for my birthday!" He shouted. "Tell me then." "I want you to love Daddy again." Elena froze at that, Hell even Trent's eyes got huge.
"I'll see what I can do." Elena said not know how Klaus would react once she told him what she wanted to do. After an hour of thinking about it she decided she would do it. Elena was going to make her son happy on his birthday, first she needed a plane ticket.
The plane ride was fairly short, but she's a vampire what's short to her can be feel like forever to a human. Elena had just set set foot in the French Quarter after compelling the taxi driver to give her a ride for free, when she was approached by a dark skined vampire with a huge grin. "You're new. What's your name?" "Listen I don't have time for your games whoever you are can you just point me in the direction of Klaus Mikaelson's house."
"My name is Marcel Gerard and you just keep going straight it's the big white house. Hard to miss." "Thanks, I'm Elena Gilbert-Mikaelson." "You're Elena? "The Elena." Klaus is going to be happy to see you!" Elena only nodded then started to go to Klaus'.
After a five minute walk Elena saw the house. It was hard to miss, she walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. Elena turned her head looking around to see if this was the right place when the door opened and she .heard a cocky voice say "You know the door is this way." "Well if you didn't take forever I wouldn't be looking around." Elena said with a smile.
"I must be dreaming, because you swore to never come near or anything Nik owns." "I'm here to do something for James, but I need to talk to Klaus first." "How about you talk to me instead starting with your hair. What the Hell happened to your signature long straight brown hair?"
"It's called change Kol. After getting rid of your ass of a brother I threw out everything that reminded me of him and then bought an entire new wardrobe, chopped my hair off and dyed it." "Wow." Kol said surprised she did all that just because of the split between Klaus and herself.
The door suddenly opened and there was a not so happy hybrid standing in the doorway until he saw a blonde sitting on the couch. "Who's dinner?" "Niklaus Mikaelson, how dare you refer to me as dinner!"
"Elena?" Klaus said in shock. "Well who did you think I was?" "Just some random woman Kol compelled." "Well I'm not, now I wanted to talk to you about something." A sparkle grew in Klaus' eye as she said this and he ordered Kol to leave the house.
"Nik! You take all my fun away, I just wanted to know if the two of you truly are back together." "Kol you can stay, this won't take long." Elena said following Klaus to his study and shutting the door behind him.
"So love what has you back here after four years? And with blonde hair." "James' birthday is in a few days and I asked him what he wanted he said for me to love you again. Which is never going to happen so I was wondering if we pretended for a few days just to make him happy." "All I have to do is give you some hugs and kisses around him?" "Exactly. When he isn't around You can hate me and I can hate you."
"Deal. Where are you staying tonight?" "I don't know probably a hotel." "No you're not I have plenty of guest rooms upstairs. I'll show you to one." "Klaus I know you, you're going to show me your room." "Well done love, but actually this is Bekah's room. I thought she wouldn't mind while she went to Mystic Falls to visit you."
"Klaus tell me something, this whole time we've been talking you haven't mention where James is once. Where's my baby! You didn't hurt him did you!" Klaus instantly had Elena by the throat pinned to the ground. Bearing his fangs just as James came running in with Elijah behind him.
"Daddy look what I got!" James said holding up the teddy bear Elijah bought him. Klaus quickly jumped off Elena and picked is son up until he saw them and asked what they were doing. "That was just a game sweetie Daddy likes pinning Mommy down for it." Elena said quickly.
"I can think of another reason." Kol muttered earning a broken hand she squeezed so tight. "Shut up!"
Should only be one more chapter then this story will FINALLY be over.
