Author's Note: Not gonna say how this idea came to me, but the moment it did was too funny to let pass without doing something about it. Hope you enjoy. Seriously though, one armed bartender, wooing the girl without being charming at all.
Okay, so I really liked writing this one and think that I might write a part two of this if it's well enjoyed as well. Let just say it's something quite different from my usual, and change is needed in my constant life.
She had never saw a bartender with one arm before, but he was definitely skilled and knew what he was doing. Rin felt it easy to admit that it was hot the way he maneuvered like a master, and never made a single clumsy movement. Not that she had ever thought that someone having only one arm would make them clumsy or anything, but this guy was right down graceful.
And his awkward, unhappy smile was to just about die for. Like he didn't want to smile, but was uncomfortable enough to want to try and appease the crowd. It didn't quite reach his eyes and she couldn't help but ponder if he had been through something unfortunate in his life time. She wasn't really the type of girl who wanted to hear a guy just talk for hours; but his voice was gravelly and she knew then if he wanted to tell she would listen.
Rin ordered a drink for herself and he prepared it without hesitation; seemingly ignoring all others in favor of keeping her eye at the bar. It made her giggle in a girlish manor, and perhaps bite her lip in contemplation. She was supposed to be having a blind date at this bar, but now didn't want to leave the bar to go and find the 20-25 year old blond man she was supposed to be meeting up with.
Though, she wasn't one to hold up a line, even for a few more moments of talking to mister not charming. So when Rin was presented with her drink, even though there finger tips met for a few moments, and he gave her a smirk that could have turned into something more if she was in to waiting for him to be off for the night. She was over the one night stands and broken-hearted hatred of her teenage years; and it was time to be a grown up.
She caught his frown in the corner of his eye, but he didn't stop her. She continued on to find her date.
