Once out in muggle London Remus took me home. Once inside the apartment I took my stuff from Remus and went to my room and unpacked. I had stayed at the Pretchets for a couple of weeks which is what I used to do. I could hear Sirius speaking most likely trying to get out of the argument with Remus. I walked into the living room and took a seat in the armchair just watching them argue. "Why did you do that?" "Do what?" "You know exactly what, don't play stupid. The boy was being polite and you growled and snarled at him." "Malfoy" "Sirius that's not a good enough reason…" "Malfoy!" I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, counting down from ten. "He is no different from his father, he will turn into the same slime ball…" "ENOUGH!" I got up as I shouted. Both adults turning to me in shock at the sudden outburst. "He is nothing like his father, you have no right to judge him until you get to know him!" With that I stomped off to my room slamming the door shut before dropping onto my bed.
I had no idea how long I had been laying there, it had to have been a few hours. The door opened and my mother stepped inside. "Sweet heart…" I turned to look at her and moved to sit up on my mattress as she sat at the edge. "Remus told me what happened...Don't mind Sirius too much...it's just we. Both know something about his father you don't...he was one of the followers of Voldemort...he claimed he did everything in order keep his wife safe, while I do believe that part. We are just worried he will get mixed up in those things again which is very likely…" I looked at her with wide eyes, it now made sense why Sirius was so against me and Draco. "I guess then it all makes sense…" I looked at my mother for a second before taking deep breath. "Was dad one too?" She turned to me and looked little thrown off at the question. "What?" "Was father a death eater as well….is that why you two fought…." "What makes you think that?" "Well first of all your reaction, and the fact that he is Mr. Malfoy's best friend...and Sirius doesn't like dad" there was a silence before she looked down at her lap. "Yes, but unlike Mr. Malfoy your father turned himself in to the order in midst of the war and offered us inside information. That helped us relocate James and lily into hiding until peter betrayed us." I looked at her and felt a sting in my chest as a tear rolled down her cheek. "I found out he was one after he told me he wasn't. Soo reason we fought and I said things I ended up regretting." "Will there be another war?" she looked at me with a sad smile. "I can't say, nothing is for sure at this point but it's very likely to happen unless the ministry manages to gets their shit together..." I looked at her before hugging to her. A war could mean for me to lose her or someone else I cared for.
"Everything will be fine...I trust the boy enough to keep you safe...he seems to really care for you…" I nodded and continued to hold on to her.
The last few days of break passed uneventful, my mother took me supply shopping and ordered dinner when we got home. I how ever found myself getting tired much quicker that I'm used to. She had been on edge the last few days something was happening in the ministry and it wasn't to her liking. I had packed my things the night before we left to the train station, I saw harry across the platform along with a black dog, I still felt bad about having blown up on Sirius, after all it made sense. "Alright, sweetheart I have to go to work. I will possibly be seeing you this year...I'll be stopping by the school if what I think is happening is coming true." I nodded rather confused but wasn't sure what else to do. "Also...remember to not let whoever the ministry is sending get to you, let's just say me and her and our fair share of falling outs and I'm afraid she may target you for that reason...and if she does. I'm sorry you have to suffer because of me" I smiled at her and gave her a hug. "It's fine...I'll survive...if she crosses a line I will let you know…" My mother smiled and kissed my forehead and looked at me. "You have grown up so much...more and more of a woman every time I see you…" I looked at her and smiled looking down in embarrassment. "Mom…." "I know I'm being embarrassing but you have grown so much over the summer not to mention you had your first appointment at a gynecologist and you are on birth control...that is quite a bit to process for me...you are not the little 11 year old anymore who waved sticks about saying you're practicing for when you get a wand." I looked up at her and smiled. "You're going to be late for work," "I already am late…" we both laughed as we hugged one more time. "Enjoy your year...and I know you will exceed your O.W.L.S, I love you Raven." "I love you too mom…" With that I pulled away from her and got on the train and looked back one more time waving at her before trying to find someone to sit with. I was walking towards the end of the train, everywhere was packed and I haven't found anyone I knew.
"Raven..." I looked to the source of the voice and smiled when I saw Draco, I walked over to him and gave him a quick peck on the lips before following him into the compartment which had been empty beside his belongings. "I didn't see you in here with the blinds down...I didn't even know we had compartments with blinds." "Well usually the 7th years take them but I managed to grab one...I was going to come back out and grab you but you and your mom were having a moment.." I looked at him and smiled nervously. "How much did you hear…?" "Starting with how much more of a woman you have become….and the ohhh doctor thing…" I sat down and looked out the window my face turning red. "I mean...I guess...i'm not sure what i was gonna say….i guess she thinks it's possible for us to get to that point...or that we will be together long enough for it to happen…" I looked at him and smiled as he sat across from me rambling on nervously his face a light shade of red. "If it gets to that it gets to that, it happens it happens...I wouldn't complain…" I realized what I had said as it left my mouth making me blush furiously and turned to look out the window in panic. I closed my eyes when he got up and sat next to me and kissed my cheek. "You are so adorable when you get embarrassed." I turned to him and smiled lightly before giving him a kiss. "I mean we are only 15 years of age...I mean it will still be a year or two before I would want to think about going down that path. " "I agree, plus we are still in school...maybe not until we are older..." I smiled and nodded. "What I was trying to say is...I wouldn't mind if I were with you...the first time. If that makes sense…" He smiled and pulled me closer, "And I share that same thought…" We both smiled before enjoying the quiet trip back to school.
It had been quiet on the way to school we both remained silent for good portion of it but it was nice we simply enjoyed each other's company. I had actually fallen asleep resting my head on his shoulder. Once he woke me there were little students left, in fact harry and the other climbed onto the last carriage. "We could always walk...I know others do it…" Draco smiled at me and took my hand as we both walk. In fact we walked the same speed the carriages did. The gate came in view and we were greeted by professor Flitwick. "Ah I was wondering why haven't seen you with your friends either of you in that matter." We both smiled at the short teacher before walking up to the castle. "Maybe after dinner we could got the astronomy tower until Curfew or something" Draco smiled holding both my hands and pulling me into his arms. "Sounds good to me…well we better get going before we miss too much…" we parted ways, I rushed up to the tower and changed as quickly as possible with the feast starting in just a few minutes. I rushed back down the stairs. And quickly took the seat harry had been saving for me. "Hey" "There you are were wondering if you're coming back" Harry smiled and I playfully pushed him. "Of course...I just spend the train right with him, and we walked up to the castle…" "Ash I see...I'm glad everything between you two is going well...i heard what happened with pads…" i looked down and chewed my lip. "He wants to apologize...he figure he probably crossed the line in his rant." "I'll owl him...or Remus to deliver it to him…" We both smiled before facing towards the head table as Dumbledore spoke. That's when we noticed the woman in pink, and it dawned on him why mother had been so concerned. "Ambridge…" The trio looked at me before turning back to the woman as she was introduced. Well this year was going to be hell.
