On her way back to the lab Catherine had to calm herself down a number of times otherwise she would have caused an accident or two. Greg's message almost caused her a heart attack, she considered just leaving Vegas, going away from Sara and everything else but she was too curious to know what Greg had discovered. She jumped into her car and drove to the lab, exceeding the speed limit. After a couple of miles she realized her driving style could be considered lethal and she had to settle down to continue her way driving more reasonable.

She parked the Denali and ran towards the front door of HQ, she jerked the door almost out of its hinges and practically ran through the building in search of Greg and the results. In no time she had tracked Greg down in one of the layout labs, he was wearing a pained expression on his face. Catherine was about to yell at him to give her the update but she didn't want to make him feel even more miserable therefore she relaxed considerably.

'Hi, what did you find?' her voice was almost soft.

Greg fidgeted with the results he was holding and wouldn't look at Catherine when he answered, 'Well, DNA from the blood on the seat matches our vic's.' He sighed and took a deep breath, 'The partial bloody print was...' he looked up meeting Catherine's gaze and his posture fell, '...Sara's.' He added almost inaudibly but to Catherine it seemed like he had shouted the name and the entire world had been able to hear it.

'Oh, no.' She rushed over to where Greg was standing and snatched the papers out of his hands, hoping he had somehow misread them but she already knew he was right. 'You know what that means...'

'It means the evidence is telling us Sara has something to do with it, it's not certain yet if the toilet seat had indeed been used for the fatal blow but Doc Robbins was pretty sure it might have been. He is testing it right now.'

When his pager went off he paled even more, he didn't want to check it. He read the message and dropped his pager, Catherine jumped a little. She helped Greg to sit down because it looked like he was about to faint. She didn't have to read the message to know what is was saying. 'The seat is the murder weapon?' she asked.

Greg only nodded before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, 'What do we do now?'

'Well, we'll have Jim bring in Sara.' Catherine was calm, too calm. Truth be told her heart had almost stopped beating, she felt like retching and fainting all at once and part of her couldn't believe this was really happening. If she was sure of one thing it was that the evidence never lied and it was telling her that the seat had been used to bash in the skull of their victim and that Sara had touched the seat after the kill. It was a different seat and someone had tried to wipe it clean, only looking more and more suspicious. Her legs buckled a bit, but she steadied herself and walked out of the lab in search of Grissom, leaving Greg without a word.

'That's not a comforting thought, Griss.' Sara breathed in her phone.

'I know but you asked me to tell the truth and that's exactly what I did, if you wanted some reinsurance you should have asked someone who would gladly lie to you and tell you what you wanted to hear without caring whether it's the truth or not.' Grissom told Sara sincerely. Sara couldn't help but smile, she knew she could always count on Grissom.

'I knew I could count on you to make my life miserable…' she told him laughingly. 'You really think I should come clean to Catherine and tell her everything? It's not that I don't want to but it's going to be hard.' She said more serious this time.

'Yes it's going to be hard, but you must… you'll lose everything otherwise. I know Catherine too well and she sees right through almost anybody, so lying to her won't do you any good.' Catherine walked into his office with a troubled expression on her face, Grissom said to Sara 'I have to go. Bye.' He hung up without waiting for a response.

'Gil, big trouble.'

Catherine told him about the evidence they found at the crime scene and what the results had turned out to be. Grissom turned pale, he too believed that the evidence always told the truth but Catherine imagined he also had a hard time to believe that Sara had committed the crime. 'Catherine, you have to call Brass. You know that.'

'Of course I know that, Gil!' Catherine was rapidly losing her temper, all the emotions she was holding back were starting to take their toll, 'Why do you always have to be this stoic! We are talking about Sara for crying out loud! Surely you can't tell me you believe Sara is a murderer?'

'Of course not, but that's what the evidence is telling us. We can only ask Sara maybe she could help us find the real killer.'

'I have tried to talk to her before, she is not telling us everything, I really hope she's ready to start telling the whole truth this time or... we won't be able to help her.'

'She will, Catherine. Trust me.' Grissom gave her a reassuring smile before walking Catherine out of his office and into the break room where he served her a cup of coffee and motioned her to call Brass.

The knocks on her door became louder and louder, Sara put on some clothes while yelling she was on her way, when she opened the door she was momentarily dumbstruck. Brass and a couple of uniformed officers were standing in her doorway.

'Sara Sidle, you are under arrest. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to have an attorney present during questioning. If you cannot afford one, ...'
