I had a day off from school because of a regent exam. So I was able to do whatever I want to.
It was June 5th, 2018 at five thirty in the morning. Gru was still asleep. Then for fun, his twin brother, Dru, ran in and jumped on Gru's bed.
Dru: Morning!
Gru screamed and fell out of his bed.
Gru: Why?
Dru: Sorry.
Gru: It's fine. I've got to go to the AVL.
Dru: Actually, you get the day off. Remember last night?
Yesterday, after Gru saved his entire family, Valerie Da Vinci told him that he can have the day off the next day.
Gru: Oh yeah. You're right. Thanks for reminding me.
Dru: So today's the day that the two of us get to hang out!
Gru: Oh no.
Margo, Edith, and Agnes were in their room and they were very excited because today, they get their yearbooks. Margo squealed.
Margo: We get our yearbooks!
Edith: That's not weird or anything.
Agnes: Cool.
Lucy walked in. She wasn't really in the mood because Gru gets the day off, and she doesn't.
Lucy: Hey. I'll drop you off and then I'll go to the AVL.
Agnes: Okay.
Edith: Thanks Lucy.
Margo: I can't wait to get our yearbooks!
Dru walked into the kitchen and he saw Balthazar.
Dru: Hey Balthazar.
Balthazar: Hey.
Gru walked in.
Gru: I'm off from the AVL today, so Dru and I are hanging out.
Balthazar: That sounds fun right?
Gru: Sort of. I don't want Dru to plan a heist.
Balthazar: Oh.
Margo, Edith, and Agnes were heading out.
Margo: Bye Gru.
Edith: See yah.
Agnes: Bye.
Lucy: Be back by three.
Gru: Okay. Have fun.
Lucy and the girls left the house.
Dru: So what's the first thing that we should do brother?
Gru: Uh…..relax?
Dru: I want to go in the pool.
Gru: Pool what pool?
Dru: Oh. I've got news. Last night when you were asleep, Lucy, the girls, and I installed a pool.
Gru: You're kidding right? Bratt, tell me he's kidding.
Balthazar didn't say anything. He just pointed to the pool. Gru facepalmed and sighed.
Gru: Dru.
Dru: Sorry about not telling you.
Gru: It's fine. In fact, later today, we're going to clean the pool.
Dru: Okay. Hey, let's go shopping for pool toys.
Gru: Pool toys?
Dru: Yeah. We have a pool.
Gru: Alright.
Gru and Dru went to the Grumobile. Gru drove away.
Dru: This is going to be fun. Then we can play with them. Right brother?
Gru: What?
Dru: We're going to play with the pool toys.
Gru: Dru, we're fifty-two years old, not five.
Dru: We never got to play with our things when we were kids.
Gru sighed. Lucy walked into the AVL. Valerie saw her.
Valerie: Agent Wilde.
Lucy: Hi.
Lucy had a sad tone in her voice.
Valerie: Agent Wilde!
Lucy: I mean hello. Reporting! So what's the mission?
Valerie: Scarlet Overkill, Vector Perkins, El Macho, and Herb Overkill are up to something. You must stop them.
Lucy: By myself?
Valerie: Yes.
Lucy: Um, not to be rude or anything, but the last time I did this, a solo mission against four villains was on February 27th.
Valerie: And?
Lucy: And it wasn't that good. I got captured and chased by them. Can I please have a different case?
Valerie: Hmm….no!
Lucy: Fine.
Margo, Edith, and Agnes were in the East Gym. Both Margo and Edith have their yearbooks.
Margo: Edith! I got it!
Edith: Sweet! I've got mine too!
Margo: Awesome!
Agnes sighed.
Edith: What's wrong?
Agnes: I don't have a yearbook.
Margo: What happened to it?
Agnes: I don't know.
Margo: Edith?
Edith: We'll find it.
Margo: Edith's right.
Agnes: Thanks.
Gru and Dru were in the Grumobile. They couldn't find the pool toys for the girls.
Gru: I can't believe it! That was a waste!
Dru: Sorry. I thought there were good toys.
Gru: Wrong!
Dru: We can try Target.
Gru sighed.
Gru: Fine, but if we can't find any, we're done!
Dru: Okay.
Gru: Good.
Gru and Dru looked for good pool toys in Target, but that failed. At 9:00, they were heading back to the car.
Gru: Nothing. I give up with this game Dru.
Dru: Oh well. We tried.
Then Dru tripped on a speed bump and fell on the street. He hurt his right leg.
Dru: Ow!
Gru: DRU!
Gru ran over to his brother.
Gru: Are you alright?
Dru: I think so. Ow.
Gru helped his brother up.
Gru: Can you walk?
Dru: Sort of. My right leg hurts.
Gru: I'll help you.
Dru: Well actually we found one pool toy. It looks like it for night time.
Gru: Yeah.
Gru and Dru went to the Grumobile.
Dru: You have any bandaids?
Gru: Yeah.
Gru opened the glove compartment and took out a bag of bandaids.
Dru: Thanks.
Dru put three bandaids on his right leg.
Dru: So what now?
Gru: We'll take a drive and then we'll go in the water.
Dru: Deal.
Meanwhile, Lucy was walking around. She was trying to find the villains.
Lucy: I can't believe this. This is going to be just like February 27th!
Vector heard her.
Vector: Did you hear that?
El Macho: It sounds like Lucy.
Scarlet: Lucy's here!?
Herb: Where?
Scarlet: Vector and El Macho heard her.
El Macho saw her.
El Macho: There she is.
Scarlet: Lucy! We meet again.
Vector: Where's Gru?
Lucy: Oh man. This is just like February 27th. Except for one thing. I have to stop Herb, not Balthazar.
Scarlet: Another solo mission?
Lucy: Yes.
Scarlet: Vector, El Macho, let's show Herb what we do to people like Lucy.
El Macho: Yes.
Vector: Oh yeah!
Lucy: Oh no.
Lucy ran away.
Scarlet: After her!
The villains started to chase Lucy.
Lucy: Yep. This is February 27th.
Margo, Edith, and Agnes were in the main office in the one room schoolhouse.
Margo: See anything?
Edith: If you're talking about a yearbook, then no.
Agnes: What if we don't find it?
Edith: Don't say that Agnes.
Margo: We'll find it. Wait, Edith, did you hide it?
Edith: What!? No!
Gru and Dru were still in the Grumobile.
Dru: So now what?
Gru: Let's go home.
Dru: Okay.
They went to Gru's house. When they got home, Dru ran to his room.
Gru: What are you doing?
Dru: We're going in the pool. I call my swimsuit.
Gru: How did you get a swimsuit?
Dru: I have my ways.
Gru: Okay.
Gru and Dru went to the backyard where the pool was. Dru jumped into the pool.
Gru: Like I said. We're cleaning the pool.
Dru: I know.
Gru walked into the pool.
Gru: Okay Dru, let's start working. Dru? Dru?
Dru didn't listen. Instead, he started spraying Gru with a water squirt gun.
Gru: Ahh! Dru!
Dru continued to squirt Gru.
Gru: Oh come on Dru! I said we're cleaning the pool, not squirting me.
Dru: Oh well.
Gru growled. Dru gasped. He had an idea.
Dru: Wait right here.
Dru jumped out of the pool and ran into the house.
Gru: What is this? Ferris Bueller's Day Off? Heck, this should be Dru Gru's Dau Off. Or Felonius Gru's Day Off.
Then Dru came back. He plugged in the Amazon Alexa and jumped back into the pool.
Dru: Hey.
Gru: Oh you're gonna get it.
Dru: I've got another idea.
Once again, Dru got out of the pool. This time, he installed a diving board and of course he jumped off it.
Gru: No, no, no, no.
Gru got hit with the water. He sighed. Meanwhile, El Macho tied Lucy up.
Lucy: Let me go!
Scarlet: No!
Herb: Your husband destroyed everything! He even ruined my wife's relationship with me.
Lucy: So? It's not my fault that he did this.
Herb: Okay now you went too far!
Vector: Clive?
Clive: Yes Vector.
Lucy sighed. While Lucy was still trapped, Margo, Edith, and Agnes walked into the West Gym.
Edith: Why would a yearbook be here?
Margo: I don't know.
Edith: Oh come on! You told us to come here!
Agnes: Edith, Margo, don't fight about this. It's fine. I can live without a yearbook.
Agnes sobbed. Margo and Edith gasped.
Margo: Oh no. Agnes, I'm sorry.
Edith: Me too. We didn't mean to.
Agnes gasped.
Margo: Come here.
Agnes ran to Margo and Edith.
Edith: We'll find your book and when I find out who took it, they will get hit with a prank.
Margo: Great. Way to ruin the last days of school Edith. The point is that we will find that jerk who stole your book Agnes.
Agnes: Okay.
At Gru's House, Gru finally cleaned the pool.
Gru: Okay. The pool's clean.
Dru: Hey, I'll race you to the deep end.
Gru: Fine.
Dru: Alexa, play Balthazar's Heist Music.
Amazon Alexa: Playing Balthazar's Heist Music.
Gru: You really think that it knows Bratt's heist music?
Dru: It will.
Balthazar's 80s heist music started playing.
Gru: Oh. It does.
Dru: I told you. Now let's race.
Dru and Gru started racing. In the end, Dru won.
Dru: I win!
Gru: Rematch. I wasn't even ready.
Dru: Okay. First person to reach the shallow end.
Gru: Deal.
The race began.
Dru: I'm gonna make it!
Gru: Eat my dust Dru!
Gru reached the end first.
Gru: Hah!
Dru: Wow.
Dru went under the water and Gru followed him. Fifteen minutes later, Gru and Dru were out of the water and they were laughing about something. Gru sighed.
Gru: This was fun.
Dru: Yeah. It was brother.
Gru: Hey, thanks for hanging out with me.
Dru: Anytime.
Gru and Dru were watching the clouds. Meanwhile, Lucy was able to escape by cutting the rope.
Lucy: Hah!
Lucy ran off.
Scarlet: There she goes! Heist music! Herb, come on!
Herb: You're really turning me into Balthazar.
El Macho: Yeah.
Lucy: And I ran. I ran so far away. I just ran. I ran all night and day. I couldn't get away.
Vector: Get her!
Lucy: Oh no! I need to get to the AVL.
Margo, Edith, and Agnes went to the auditorium in the school.
Edith: Why would it be in here!? You pick weird places to search in.
Margo: Who knows where it could be?
Edith: Do you think one of the villains stole it?
Margo: Why would they? They don't go to this school.
Edith: Maybe Vector has it.
Margo: You really think that Dad's first enemy took it?
Edith: Maybe.
Agnes: We should tell Mom.
Lucy made it to the AVL and the villains followed her.
Lucy: I made it!
Scarlet: Lucy!
El Macho: Get back here!
Valerie: Whoa! Nice work Agent Wilde. You led the villains here.
Lucy: Yep. That was my plan.
Lucy laughed nervously.
Valerie: Okay Agent Wilde, you can leave now.
Lucy: Thanks.
Then Lucy saw a book in Vector's hand.
Lucy: Wait. What's that in Vector's hand?
Vector: Nothing.
Lucy: Give me it.
Vector: No.
Lucy: Give it to me or I'll tase you.
Vector: Fine.
Vector gave the book to Lucy.
Lucy: Thank you. Hang on. This is a yearbook and it's Agnes's. I've got to bring this home.
A few hours later, Gru and Dru walked into Gru's house. Balthazar saw them.
Balthazar: Hey. Where were you guys?
Gru: The pool.
Balthazar: Sounds fun.
Gru: Yeah.
Lucy ran in.
Lucy: GRU! I found the yearbook!
Agnes told Gru about the yearbook problem.
Gru: Really?
Lucy: Yep.
Gru: Nice. I had a great time with Dru.
