A/N. So... I'm writing this chapter on ANZAC Day (if you don't know what the day is, don't worry about it, it is an Australian, New Zealander and Turkish thing that started after WW1). Before I ramble on, I need to get to this thing. To the story.
Chapter 8: Sacrifices Must Be Made
Sabine walked into the med bay to get up on Psycho, Ezra and Kanan. Psycho had been busy working on changing the cure's matter form from a liquid to a gas. He had convinced Sabine not to help him with the whole cure changing mini-mission. She had found one of his kin he believed to be dead and that helped with his temper seeing as he and his family... Well immediate family, weren't the only Klotians alive. The Mandalorian found Psycho about to leave the room with a smile on his face and Ezra and Kanan sitting up.
"You look awfully happy" Sabine grinned.
"Well, I managed to get the cure in its gas form and now I can save this whole ship's Force sensitive cargo from this evil disease. I already got those two cured, but be careful, they are still weak from being infected" Psycho smiled before leaving with one of the canisters in his hand.
"Where do you plan on releasing the cure" Sabine called.
"The ventilation system. I just need to hook this up to the system and the cure will pump throughout the ship, killing all traces of the disease. Don't worry, we will be at Lothal when I have it all hooked up" Psycho laughed before disappearing from sight.
Now Sabine turned and rushed to both her friends' sides and bringing them into a suffocating three person hug. Sabine was just overwhelmed that someone dangerous from her past had saved her crew. By the time she let go, Ezra and Kanan had near blue faces.
"Please, easy" Kanan asked as he caught his precious breath.
"Not fun Sabine. But thanks for caring" Ezra coughed out before sending the teen he crushed upon a smile.
"Come on, everybody would want to see you two" Sabine laughed as she pulled both Force sensitives behind her.
Soon the trio were in the cargo bay where the rest of the ship's inhabitants, with the exclusion of Psycho, were waiting. Hera looked over at the door and nearly cried with happiness when she saw Kanan and Ezra up and about, no thanks to Sabine. Zeb smiled when he saw both his roommate and long time friend both well. Chopper gave off a few sounds of joy as he saw his electric blue eyed zapping toy pint size edition well and the owner of said zapping toy pint size edition. Lynn smiled from below her scarf when she saw the happiness behind this sudden return of a Jedi and Padawan. Paowe and Vixen smiled as they finally saw the people this misfit crew arrived. Fjx chuckled as she watched the speed of happiness. The other two sisters of the sister trio, Maketh and Joy, smiled. Unlike Lynn, the other other two thirds of the sister trio didn't hide their faces, but then again, they liked to take the risk of being busted as being Minister Tua's daughters. Soon, everybody felt the ship exit hyperspace but then a visible gas could be seen seeping out of the ventilation system.
"Hey, just act like there isn't a gas coming out of the ventilation system. We will be on Lothal in a few minutes. I just need to get to the cockpit" Psycho's voice rang from ship's internal com link.
"Roger that" Joy laughed as the gas filled the room around them and the rest of the ship.
Lynn began to grit her teeth as unbearable pain shot to length of her left arm. There were tears now welling up in her eyes as she held back showing her pain. Hera noticed this and realised that this cure was also dangerous towards Lynn's arm. Walking over to the half breed, Hera started a conversation with the teenaged girl.
"You okay" Hera asked, already knowing the answer.
"No, this cure hates me so much it wants to affect my arm" Lynn replied, holding back any screams.
"Sprry to spoil your good moods, but we have an Imperial transport about to dock with us. Act like we are a proper crew okay and not rebels" Psycho's voice rang throughout the ship's hallways.
"What are the Imperials" Paowe asked.
"People who think it is okay to bully people into accepting their ways. Their leaders are Emperor Palpatine and Lord Darth Vader. Their army consist of soldiers known as Stormtroopers. They took something from all of us. Ezra with his family. Sabine with her family. Kanan because they slaughtered his fellow Jedi and Padawan. Zeb through nearly wiping out his species. Me, they enslave my people for the heck of it. Psycho is with his sanity he had before Fjx's supposed death. Maketh and Joy through forcing Force sensitives to either die or join them. Lynn, we actually don't know why. Not even her sisters know why" Hera explained.
"Sounds like a bunch of thal'uks" Vixen laughed.
"No need for language like that Vixen" Psycho growled as he walked into the cargo bay.
"Sorry" Vixen apologised.
"Dad, can we speak" Lynn asked.
"Not now Lynn, we got to worry about the Imperials" Psycho replied.
"Psycho, you're a father" Paowe asked with surprise.
"Yes, now let me do all the speaking" Psycho answered before the sound of air hatches connecting could be heard.
"Dad, this can't wait" Lynn argued.
"Everything can wait" Psycho assured as foot steps could be heard in the air hatch in the cargo hold.
"Not this" Lynn insisted, finally making Hera realise what Lynn was about to tell... More like show her father.
"When the Imperials get off my ship okay" Psycho sighed before the air hatch opened to show two people they did not want to with.
In the air hatch stood Agent Kallus in all his mutton chops glory, and beside him stood a surprised Minister Tua. Agent Kallus took one look inside before he smirked with approval.
"Seems like we have found ourselves some Rebels. How will Lord Vader react to this" Agent Kallus laughed before seeing Joy and Maketh.
Frowning a little, he quickly glanced between the surprised Minister Tua and the sisters. He then put the dots together.
"For the sake of the Klotian gods. Why did have to be mutton chops and Maketh? Itz'wa" Psycho growled.
"Do you know this man, minister" Agent Kallus asked, training his blaster on Psycho.
"No" Minister Tua replied, glaring at Psycho.
"Mum, of course you know Psycho" Joy questioned before covering up her mouth.
"This is Agent Kallus. I got some delusional Rebels, requesting more Stormtroopers" Agent Kallus asked into a headset built into his helmet.
"This is why I hate you Joy" Lynn muttered under her breath.
"Anyone else confused" Vixen asked.
"Just you and me" Paowe replied as men in white armour charged into the cargo bay and trained their weapons on the Rebels.
"I think a non-violent negotiation is required" Psycho smiled, surprising everybody.
"What do you mean Rebel scum" Agent Kallus questioned, still having his blaster trained on the Klotian.
"Well, if you allow my crew onto your ship, without our weapons, and we discuss everything about this little problem. We won't have a problem and we can discuss everything like how the Empire says itself is, a great thing. But if that doesn't happen, then both sides get a negative reveal. Your choice. Double positives, or double negatives" Psycho explained.
"He has reasoning Agent Kallus. He does seem to be wise enough not to want a fight" Minister Tua encouraged the agent.
"Fine, but any weapons that is found on your persons, we will kill you" Agent Kallus agreed, somewhat upset with the turn of events.
"Just let us place our weapons on that crate" Psycho grinned as he walked over to a crate and placed his blaster and whatever Lightsabers he had in his cybernetic arm on it.
Grumbling, everybody else followed his example. However, Lynn didn't place a hidden weapon on the pile. The Stormtroopers herded the Rebels onto the Imperial transport without hustle. Soon Paycho and Agent Kallus sat across from each other. Psycho fiddled with his cybernetic arm until it went limp, signalling that he was no longer hostile towards Agent Kallus and Minister Tua, whom the ladder was nervously glancing between two of the sister trio.
"So, why exactly did you request a non-violent negotiation" Agent Kallus asked.
"Well Agent Kallus, I don't feel like spilling human, Lasat, Twi'lek, Klotian or Imperial blood when there is a peaceful way out" Psycho replied, earning a scoff from Sabine.
"Klotian" Minister Tua muttered, looking over at the sister trio.
"Yes Minister Maketh Tua, Klotian. Four full blooded Klotian and three half breed Klotians are here" Psycho smiled.
"Tell me, what are Klotians" Agent Kallus asked, interested.
"Humanoid creatures with a rapid adapt ability. Characterised as pink skinned, golden eyed and black haired humans. Teeth are naturally pointy seeing as we rarely eat anything other then meat before the destruction of Klote" Psycho answered.
"Why have I not heard of your species before" Agent Kallus asked, hoping to catch Psycho off guard.
"Because we are the last of the Klotian race and four of us have been around longer then the Galatic Civil some thousands of years ago. Klote was destroyed a few years into the war. Just a month ago, I sent a signal that wiped all traces of Klotian knowledge from everybody in the galaxy from one of the remains of Klote" Psycho smiled, baring his pointed teeth.
"Where would this piece of this Klote be" Kallus asked, intrigued at how quickly the man sitting in front of him was responding to his questions.
"Centre of the Galaxy. The exact centre" Psycho laughed. "Unfortunately for you, only a Klotian built ship can get there without being sucked into the black hole in the centre of our galaxy."
"Prove it" Kallus demanded. "And I might consider letting this go under the radar."
"Deal, but you must not harm anyone on my ship" Psycho extended his hand.
"Deal" Kallus agreed as he took Psycho's gesture.
As the Blackhawk crew and its Ghost crew guests walked back down the air lock, the Stormtroopers, Agent Kallus and Minister Tua followed. Just as Psycho reached the door that served as the barrier between the two ships, the bucket heads and Agent Kallus trained their blasters on the group. The Force sensitives sense this, as well as the very cautious Lynn. The Force sensitives knew they couldn't reach their weapons before they could be killed. They accepted the only outcome they could see coming. Agent Kallus grinned before he gave the order to fire. As the first bolt left the blaster of one Stormtrooper, Lynn pulled out a curved hilt, white Lightsaber. Surprising everybody by the sudden appearance of Lynn wielding a Lightsaber. Psychology knew Lynn foresaw this so he gave his technically youngest daughter a nod of approval before he opened the air hatch. Everybody, except for Lynn rushed out. However, a stray bolt escaped Lynn's blade and ripped through Maketh Yabis' chest. Lynn looked back to see her twin on the ground bleeding out. This was a mistake of her part as Kallus got a lucky shot on her and out her right leg with a bolt to the shin. Falling and letting go of the Lightsaber, Lynn gave her friends and family one last look before the air hatch door shut and the returned to the Imperial ship.
On the Blackhawk, everyone was in shock. Maketh was shot and everyone knew she wouldn't be able to survive, even with the Klotian medicine Psycho hard on his ship. Lynn just sacrificed herself for them, she was now captured, or more likely, dead. Sabine fell to her knees, only three people Lynn actually bothered to look up to just sit there as she took the bolt to the leg. The others who looked up to her or cared about her didn't do anything as Lynn made the sacrifice. Sabine felt guilt hit her. She barely knew Lynn and now someone she considered a friend just sacrificed herself for them. The concept just couldn't get pass Sabine. Of all people, Sabine didn't expect Lynn to do what she did. Then something clicked in her head. For the brief moment that Lynn looked out the air hatch did Sabine see Lynn full face. Lynn looked a bit like Minister Tua. Then she looked at Joy. Sabine realised that Joy looked like a younger, more Klotian version, of the minister. Then at Maketh, whom looked like the mid point between looking like Maketh Tua and Lynn. Sabine realised that the trio of sisters were Psycho's and Maketh's children. This explained why Lynn looked like she was smiling as the air hatch closed. She was returning to her mother. The question that now presented itself in Sabine's mind, was Lynn going to join the Empire or maybe she was going to be a prisoner? The girl just sacrificed herself for them.
A/N. I hope you enjoyed, I actually had different versions of this scenario in my mind all the time since I started this particular story arc. This also sparks the final three chapters for this story arc. Bye.
