Dravo's Revenge
[Gokaiger 2: 6:10-6:14]
Zoom in on flagship.
[End Sentai footage]
"You're the only bodyguard left," Master Vile told Dravo as the two stood alone in another room, "Jerox failed, and Prince Vekar was wounded, from what I understand. Hamerne went to fight the Rangers while the Prince's Megazord refueled. He was destroyed. And now here you are, and the Prince is gone."
"I know all of this," Dravo told him, "Why are you bringing it up?"
"Because I serve as advisor to King Verox. I advise. And now I'm going to advise you."
"Advise me to do what?" Dravo questioned.
"Throw yourself on his mercy," Vile told Dravo.
Dravo shook his head, "No." He clenched his fist, "I will not." He turned to fully face Vile, "I will crush the Rangers in Prince Vekar's name! Only then will I go to King Verox and ask him what is to be done to me. Only then will I accept my fate, whatever it may be."
"So what are you doing?" Jake asked, looking over Noah's shoulder in the cockpit of the Skyship. He was trying to see Noah's panel.
"Diagnostics, technical things," Jake said.
"Oh, technical things," Jake said, "Good, no need to say more," he said, turning and promptly walking out.
"You want some help?" Paul asked via the panel. He was in his own cockpit, working on something.
"No, I'm fine," Noah said over the panel, then clicked out of the chat and got back to work. Gia was at her panel, doing something as well. "Alright, now…," Noah said, hitting something, "Oh no," he said, quickly typing and trying to get something working, "Come on…"
Gia looked over at him and walked over. "What is it?"
"Nothing," he said, "I just…"
She reached over and clicked something on his screen. The multitudes of windows and screens that popped up suddenly ceased and things were back to normal.
"I assume that's how you want it?" she asked.
"Y…yeah," he said.
"You're welcome," she said, going back to her panel and resuming whatever it was that she was doing. Noah turned from his and looked over at her, and then back to his screen. He took a breath and went right back into it for a few moments, and then looked back to Gia again.
Emma sat down on a rock on the beach and looked at the ocean. Troy sat down beside her after a few moments.
"I need to ask you something," Emma said.
"What is it?"
"Do you…feel bad at all for destroying him?" she asked.
"The Prince?" Troy asked.
She nodded, "Remember the first time we met him? He seemed so…pathetic, weak…not at all like Vrak or anyone else. I actually feel bad."
"I understand," Troy said, "I can see where you're coming from, but he caused his army to arrive, he caused so much damage and destruction. I know we targeted him when he first appeared, but what else could we do? They weren't going to stop or listen to us. No matter which way I see it, destroying him was the only option. But…we don't know if he was destroyed."
She nodded, "He could have escaped his Megazord."
"He could have," Troy agreed, "But if he did, this war won't end any sooner. We have to think about the people of Earth, our people."
She nodded, "I know, and I do care about them. I don't want them drawn into this, but…that doesn't change the fact that I feel bad about this, about someone like Vekar."
"You have a good heart, Emma," Troy told her.
"Thank you."
Jake had decided to go for a jog after leaving the Skyship. He slowed down, trying to catch his breath as he reached the warehouse district.
Dravo stepped out from inside of one of the warehouses, observing for a moment. His fist tightened around his sword.
"Black Ranger!" he shouted.
Jake turned quickly to see Dravo, "I remember you," Jake said. He reached for his Morpher and drew it out.
"Go on, Morph," he hissed, "I want a sporting chance."
Jake drew his card up, "Mega Morph!" he called, transforming in a flash of black. He lifted the Power Axe and shone for a moment, appearing in Legacy Mode. He ran forward and slashed, but Dravo parried with no difficulty.
Dravo shouted and kicked Jake back, landing the Black Ranger on his back a distance away. He walked towards the downed Jake, "For Prince Vekar," he hissed.
Jake came up, holding his axe defensively, "For your Prince?" Jake muttered, "Oh great, a guy out for revenge…"
Dravo shouted and slashed down, knocking the Power Axe away. He punched Jake in the chest, sending him flying back into the wall of a warehouse. He slid to the ground and de-Morphed.
"There," Dravo hissed, "That's one down." He tightened his grip on his sword, "Now…what should I do to you?"
"The…the others will destroy you," Jake muttered.
"No. Because I'll destroy them," he said, drawing his arm up.
Jake grabbed his Morpher and teleported. Dravo lowered his arm and growled.
"Fine," he hissed, "Next time I'll make sure to not give you the option."
Jake teleported into the command center and landed on the hard ground. He let out a cry on landing. That's not how it was supposed to go.
Troy and Emma ran inside upon hearing him, "Jake!" they shouted, running and crouching at his side.
"What happened?" Troy asked.
"That…that big brown guy…," he said.
"I remember him," Troy said, "Dravo."
"He beat me," Jake said, "He…he'd have destroyed me if I didn't teleport out when I did. But now he knows, and will try to stop it. He…he wants revenge for Vekar."
"So Vekar was destroyed then," Emma said softly.
"I'll alert the others," Troy said, "Emma, can you stay with Jake?"
She nodded. He ran outside.
"I'm glad you're more or less alright," Emma told him.
He nodded, "Are you just saying that? I still can't tell if you hate what I did or not."
"I still don't like it, but I like you, of course," she said.
"Good," he said and groaned, laying back.
"Where's Paul?" Troy questioned as he hurried into the Skyship cockpit.
"In his cockpit," Noah said.
"No, I was just there," Troy said.
"Call him," Gia said.
He tore out his Morpher and lifted it up, "Paul? Paul?"
"What is it?" Paul asked.
"Where are you?" Troy questioned.
"Out on a walk."
"Teleport back now!" Troy shouted, "Dravo's out looking for revenge for Vekar. He beat Jake. Teleport back now!"
"I'm trying…it's not going!" he said.
"I'll get a lock on him," Noah said, working on the console, "It's…it's jammed…"
"Rangers," Dravo's voice came, "This time you're not getting your teammate back. Say goodbye to your Silver friend."
Troy looked at Gia and Noah, "We have to find him, now!"
Paul was trying to teleport with his Morpher, but nothing was happening. "Where are you?" he was shouting, "Dravo?"
Dravo stepped out behind him, "So, you heard that before I got the jammer in place. Well, you know why I'm here, then."
Paul turned, "So, you're jamming my teleport and communications?"
"And the signal from your Morpher. They can't track you."
"I can still Morph and fight back," Paul told him.
"You can," Dravo said, lifting his sword, "It won't be enough."
"Silver Energize!" he shouted as he went through the motions, Morphing and taking grip of his trident. He lifted it to face Dravo and waited.
"I'll go first then!" Dravo shouted, running at him. He slashed down, forcing Paul to block, and then Paul immediately went to his knees.
"So…so much power…," he muttered.
"That's right," Dravo hissed, kicking Paul back. He landed on the ground and rolled, losing grip of his weapon. Dravo walked towards him.
"I'll try something else then," Paul said, holding out his hand, but no weapon came. "You're jamming those too?" he shouted.
"Everything," Dravo hissed, "Thank Hexatrix for that."
Paul drew up in a fighting stance and waited.
"Hexatrix," King Verox said from his throne, which had replaced Vekar's.
"Yes Your Highness?" she asked, coming and bowing before him.
"I did not give Dravo leave to pursue his vendetta," he growled.
"I…I was not aware of that when I equipped him," she said, "Master Vile said…"
"I don't care what he said," Verox hissed, "He is not the King."
"I apologize," she said.
Verox rose. Hexatrix moved back to give him room. "Dravo was my advisor once, and he is acting right in desiring revenge, but he disobeyed my will. He went without consulting me. For that, I will see him punished."
"Even if he destroys your enemies for you?" Hexatrix asked. He growled, "I…I apologize for speaking out of turn."
He nodded, "Even if he destroys the Rangers. He disobeyed my will. He never asked my will. Argus, return him for me."
The mechanical soldier nodded, "I will see to it, Sir."
As Argus left the room, Vrak walked in, "Dravo is one of the greatest soldiers this Empire has, Father," Vrak said, "He could very well destroy the Rangers with ease. Why stop him?"
"Because it is not my will," Verox growled to his son.
"What is your will, then?" Vrak questioned.
"To see the Rangers despair as they fail to protect their world once we open the Door," Verox told him, "They will be destroyed in every conceivable way. Hearts, minds, bodies. That is the way I want them destroyed. And they can help us find the Door as well."
"How do you figure that?" Vrak questioned.
"That's not for you to know," Verox told him. The King turned and departed the chamber, leaving Vrak and Hexatrix.
"I feel like he's more angry about losing the Pirate Rangers," Vrak said, "He wants to destroy them himself, rather than see an underling do it."
"Then maybe we can conserve soldiers," Hexatrix said.
"No," Vrak said, "We'll keep deploying them as usual. But…we'll repurpose them."
"In what way?" she questioned.
"We'll use them to either seek the Door, or push the Rangers into doing it for us."
"And how will we even manipulate the Rangers into finding the Door?" Hexatrix questioned.
"Leave that to me," Vrak said, "I'll figure it out."
Paul barely ducked Dravo's slash and rolled to pick up his trident. He span around and slashed, but Dravo's sword parried it down with ease. Dravo shouted and rammed his shoulder forward, sending Paul rolling back.
"It's over," Dravo hissed, lifting his sword. He swung it down, but another weapon caught it. He glanced over, "Argus…," he hissed.
"Dravo," Argus said.
Paul looked up, "Drew?"
"Protecting your human friend?" Dravo questioned.
"No, acting on King Verox's orders," Argus told him.
"And what are those?"
"You're rouge, and I'm bringing you in," Argus told him, pushing up on the sword to relieve the pressure. He swung for Dravo's chest, but Dravo parried.
"You can't beat me," Dravo told him.
"We'll see," Argus said.
"Come on," Noah muttered, "I've got to be able to get past this…"
"Do you need help?" Gia asked.
"Probably," he said.
"Well, what can I do then?" she asked.
"Oh…um…nothing," he said.
"You just said…"
"I'd take help from Paul, if he was here. But…"
"I'm not qualified to work on this," she said.
"You don't know technology like Paul and I do."
"I fixed your problem earlier," she said.
He stopped and looked at her, "And that bugs me," he said, "When did you learn that stuff?"
"I'm a fast learner, and I watch," she told him.
"Tech is my department," he said, "And I didn't mind Paul doing things either, because he was good with that when he joined us. It wasn't my place to tell him that it was just my part, and mine alone. But…you're a great fighter, a great person, you're so smart…second in command…you have so many roles to play already, I don't like that you're coming onto my area."
"I'm not trying to," Gia told him, "I'm just trying to help and let us be more efficient."
"I get that we're a team, and we all have a part to play, but…my part is here," he said, "And if you're learning to take that over, then…"
"You still have a part to play here," she told him, "I know you've doubted your abilities before, and that Cam has helped you. Don't regress into that person from before. You've grown so much; you do so much for us all. We need you, and so what if I'm able to help you with your work? You still know and do more with it than I ever could."
"It's just a little hard to see you being able to do this too," he said, "You're already like Mrs. Perfect."
She smiled a little, "Well, yeah, I am." She laughed a little with him. "Sorry for distracting you. Please, get back to work. We need to find him."
He nodded, "Help me," he told her. He sent files to her screen, "Please."
She headed back over and looked at her monitor, then nodded. The two got to work on undoing the jammer.
Argus swung, but Dravo ducked and punched him in the chest. He stumbled back towards Paul, who lifted his trident.
"Drew, let's do this together," Paul said.
"I am Argus," Argus hissed, lifting his sword, "But yes, together!"
Argus slashed, but Dravo parried up. Paul thrust his trident forward, catching Dravo in the chest.
Argus slashed forward, catching Dravo in the chest as well. Paul span around, getting onto Argus' other side and slashed at an angle with his trident, catching Dravo in the side, knocking him back.
Paul span his weapon into firearm mode and fired on him, but Dravo blocked each shot with his sword. Argus rushed forward and swung, but Dravo parried and grabbed his arm. He swung Argus into the path of Paul's shots and kicked him into the Silver Ranger.
The two got back up and stood side by side. Paul drew his golden key, "Battlizer!" he called, loading it into his Morpher. The golden armor appeared on his body as he swung his closed trident down.
Argus rushed forward and shouted. He slashed and caught his blade against Dravo's. Argus grabbed Dravo by the arm.
"Now!" Argus shouted. Paul ran forward and shouted, leaping off of his former friend's back. He slashed Dravo down the back, freeing up Argus to pull him and then push him away, slashing him across the side in the process.
"That's not enough," Dravo hissed, "That's far from enough to defeat me!"
The two came together again and lifted their weapons before rushing in.
Troy, Jake and Emma rushed into the cockpit, "You got it?" Troy asked.
Noah nodded, "We," he said, referring to himself and Gia, whom he gestured to.
The screen displayed the area where Paul was fighting. "That's a pretty open area," Troy said, "If we teleport in, we'll be seen right away. We can't surprise him."
"Or we go in from above," Jake said, "Right?"
Troy nodded, "Let's do that."
The two continued to engage Dravo, but the veteran soldier was parrying pretty much every blow and sending punches or kicks back, striking most of the time.
Argus and Paul both saw the Rangers as they dropped down (note: just put camera down, have them dropping/flipping, basic thing that many seasons have done). Argus growled and turned, slashing Paul once. The Silver Ranger cried out and stumbled, then took another slash.
"What?" Dravo hissed.
"Ha!" Troy shouted as the five of them fell, holding the Blazer in his arms. The shot flew down at Dravo's head. Dravo looked up and growled, using his sword to catch the blast as the Rangers landed behind him. Dravo slashed the blast away.
"You almost had me," Dravo hissed.
"I'll help Paul," Emma said, running to the Silver Ranger's aid.
"Why?" Paul hissed as he clutched his chest with one hand, panting.
"Because they can't know," Argus hissed. He looked to Emma, and then ran rather than have to fight more.
"Are you ok?" Emma asked Paul when she arrived.
He nodded, "Y-yeah, I'm fine," he muttered, then looked at Dravo.
The others were fighting him with their primary weapons, but Dravo was blocking everything and slashing back, overpowering them with ease.
"Let's change this up!" Troy said, "Legacy Mode!"
"Legacy Mode!" Gia shouted.
"Shining Morph Card!" Noah and Jake both shouted, going to Shining Mode instead.
"Those can't save you," Dravo told them.
Emma and Paul ran over, with Emma in Legacy Mode as well. The Legacy Mode Rangers held the weapon associated with their armor.
Emma ran forward and slashed, but Dravo's blade parried, immediately knocking her to the ground.
Gia attacked from the other side, but the sheer force of the parry knocked her down as well.
"Come on!" Troy shouted, leaping forward and slashing, but the same. He was knocked to the ground as well.
"Men, women, I don't discriminate there," Dravo growled, "Anyone else want to test my strength?"
"Yeah, I will!" Jake shouted, swinging his sword in both hands. He slammed it into Dravo's sword and fell back from the force.
"Press Shower!" Noah called from behind.
"What?" Dravo hissed as he turned. A blast of water smashed into him head on and threw him back.
"I guess I'm better at looking ahead," Noah said, "Now, Ice Stop!" he called, using another card. The water on Dravo's body began to slowly freeze over.
"No!" Dravo shouted, shrugging it off.
"My turn!" Paul shouted, leaping forward, his trident charged. He slashed through Dravo's chest with it and stepped past him.
Gia moved to Noah's side and nodded to him. He gave her a nod back, "Let's try something together," he said.
She glowed yellow, "Yeah, let's."
He drew his weapon back, the golden Zord head charging and spinning inside. She drew her arms back and shouted, unleashing the Tiger Spirit as he shouted and unleashed his attack.
The combination struck Dravo square in the chest and stumbled him back. He fell to his knees and slammed his sword into the ground for support.
"You…haven't won…," Dravo hissed.
Argus walked up behind him and turned his sword, "No, but you've lost," he said.
"No, no I haven't!" Argus shouted. He turned, but took a slash from Argus to the chest in the process. He shouted and punched Argus back. He drew out a small device from his cape and held it out. "I'll crush you all! For Prince Vekar!" He hit the button.
[Gokaiger 43. 18:44-18:47]
He shouted as he grew to massive size.
[End Sentai footage]
Troy slotted a card as Paul lifted his Morpher, "Let's take him down!" Troy said.
[Gokaiger 43. 19:08-19:32]
The two Megazords were ready as Dravo gripped his sword tighter.
"This is the end…and I will win!" Dravo said, rushing them and slashing them. They couldn't hold up against his power.
When his sword kept the Pirate Megazord's swords down, Paul rushed his back, but two gattling guns fired from his cape, blasting the Q-Rex Drill Megazord.
[End Sentai footage]
Paul shouted as he was shaken.
[Gokaiger 43. 19:33-19:35]
The Q-Rex Drill Megazord fell.
[Gokaiger 43. 19:35-19:41]
The gattling guns turned and fired on the Pirate Megazord.
[End Sentai footage]
The team shouted as they were shaken around.
[Gokaiger 43. 19:42-19:48]
The Megazord stumbled back as Dravo stood and watched, growling.
[Gokaiger 43. 20:08-20:13]
The Megazords both got back up and faced Dravo, who looked at them both.
[End Sentai footage]
"Let's show him what we've got!" Troy shouted, "Fireheart!"
[Gokaiger 43. 20:19-20:28]
Fireheart emerged from the Megazord and bound Dravo in the Magic Spell Seal. He grunted and shattered it.
[End Sentai footage]
Noah hit some buttons, "Here's the Delta Striker!"
[Gokaiger 43. 20:31-20:37]
The Zord shot forward and fired from its wheels, striking Dravo repeatedly.
[End Sentai footage]
Emma held the Animal Crystal out, "Red Lion! I need you!
[Gokaiger 43. 20:42-20:48]
The Red Lion ran forward and tackled Dravo, slashing him with claws.
[End Sentai footage]
"I need to feel like I'm doing something!" Jake said, reaching forward.
Gia hit it first, "Minizord!"
[Gokaiger 43. 20:52-20:57]
The Minizord rode in on the giant shuriken and threw its kunai, making Dravo drop his sword in pain.
[End Sentai footage]
"Sorry Jake, but this one's mine," Troy said, "Turbo Falcon Zord!"
[Gokaiger 43. 21:00-21:12]
The Zord flew out and grew, firing lasers into Dravo's chest. He grunted.
The two Megazords came together with the smaller Zord before them.
[End Sentai footage]
"Can I?" Jake asked.
"Go ahead," Troy said.
"I'm ready," Paul said from his cockpit.
Jake hit it, "Alright, Ultrazord!"
[Gokaiger 43. 21:13-21:39 (note: edit in lasers from fingers instead of missiles)]
The two Megazords combined with the Turbo Falcon Zord, combining into the Pirate RPM Ultrazord.
"I'll destroy you!" Dravo shouted. He ran forward and punched, but nothing happened. The drill slashed him back, and then a series of lasers from the fingers hammered it in for him.
[End Sentai footage]
"It's over!" the team shouted.
[Gokaiger 43. 21:47-21:59]
The four Zords all unleashed their attacks at once while the Ultrazord fired its fist forward into his chest.
"No…," he muttered.
[Gokaiger 43. 22:00-22:15]
He sparked, "How could you defeat me? How could I fail my Prince?" he questioned. The Ultrazord stared at him as he fell and exploded.
[End Sentai footage]
"He's been dealt with," Argus said as he reported in.
"I saw," the King answered. He turned to Master Vile, "The next time you advise someone against my will, it will not end well for you."
Vile bowed, "I shall remember, Sir."
"You'll send your grandson," he told Vile, "And if he's destroyed, then it's on you."
Master Vile remained silent for a few moments, and then nodded, "As you wish, Your Highness…"
"It's hard to celebrate when we don't know how many enemies we have left," Jake said, "We keep fighting these strong bodyguard guys, but how many are left?"
"Look at it this way, every time we destroy one, we have one less to deal with," Troy told him.
They all walked out of the cave and onto the beach. "For now, let's just enjoy the peace," Emma said, "We won a hard battle."
"Yeah, let's just enjoy it," Troy said.
Behind them, someone was watching them from atop the cave. The figure turned and walked away.
"It's time!" he said.
