AN: This is not my best work, but it's some Glinda fluff in an attempt to make Stephanie feel better. Hope this helps even a little bit! 3 (And not a single mention of Elphaba in it... except for the one I just made. Sorry :3.)

Once upon a dream

"Ooh… there's even fluff about me?" Glinda muttered to herself as she stared at the magic mirror in her hand, feeling giddy. "I wonder who they paired me with! Glinda/OC… hmm… maybe that cute guy from that fanfiction story I read once – was it Athul? He seemed like a great guy. Or the other one, Corrin – he was awesome." She clicked the story and spent the next few hours swooning over it – especially her and Cohvu's apparent relationship.

She sighed when it was over, flopping back onto the bed. "I wish I had a Cohvu."

Suddenly, she sat up straight, eyes sparkling. "Wait a clock-tick…" She leapt to her feet and started searching through the few books she had on the shelf in her room – most of them were magazines about fashion, make-up, or celebrity gossip, but she also happened to have a few spell books among them. She pulled one out now, skimming through the pages until she found one she thought she could use.

"To make one's greatest wish come true," she read excitedly. The spell would only last until midnight, but that was enough. She just craved a man right now who would treat her like a queen and swoon at her feet, the way the boys at Shiz had always done.

She cast the spell.

Immediately, a pink mist appeared in the room and she held her breath as she waited for something to happen. When the mist finally disappeared again, there was a man standing in the middle of her room. He had dark blond, wavy hair and beautiful grey eyes, he was tall and muscular and altogether perfect… and the moment he laid eyes on her, he sank down on one knee.

"My lady Glinda," he said, taking her hand and kissing it. "I am all yours."

Glinda giggled. "Thank Oz."

He rose back to his feet and bowed formally. "My name is Cohvu," he said.

Glinda squealed and tackled him onto the bed, peppering his face with kisses.

"You're perfect," she told him, "and I'm perfect, too, so we're perfect together." She kissed him again. "I only wish you could stay longer than just until midnight."

"For you, Glinda, I'd stay a lifetime," he whispered in her ear, making her blush and giggle all over again.

She sat up suddenly. "Can you dance?"

"Of course," he said and she immediately summoned some of her servants to her room.

"I want to organise a ball for tonight," she told them. "Can you make the arrangements?"

They all looked startled. "Tonight?"

"Yes, tonight." Glinda waved them away sweetly. "You'll manage, I'm sure. I have faith in you!"

They hurriedly left to make the preparations and Glinda turned back to Cohvu with a beaming smile on her face. "So what are we going to do until then?"

"Come with me," he said, holding out his hand. "I've got an idea."

She took his hand and he led her through the palace and out into the gardens, where somehow a picnic blanket and a basket filled with food had appeared right beside a small stream. They sat down on the blanket and Cohvu smiled at her and fed her strawberries dipped in whipped cream. They spent all afternoon there, talking and laughing and kissing.

That night at the ball, she swirled around in his arms in a shimmering pink ball gown, with him looking extremely handsome in a fancy suit. They danced all night, right up until the moment when the clock chimed twelve and Cohvu vanished into thin air with an apologetic smile on his lips.

Then there suddenly came a loud knocking sound.

Glinda blinked, startled.

More knocking. "Lady Glinda?"

She sat up, running her fingers through her tangled, golden hair. She realised she was in her bedroom. She had fallen asleep.

She sighed disappointedly. She should have known it was a dream. Not even she had ever come across a spell that made one's one true wish come true, even if it only lasted until midnight.

"Lady Glinda, the ball will begin in a few hours," the voice on the other side of the door said. "We're here to help you get ready."

"Come in!" she called out, sitting up.

Several maids entered. One of them went into the bathroom to fill the tub, another collected make-up, and a third opened her wardrobe. "Do you have a preference for a colour scheme tonight, Lady Glinda?"

"Pink," she said immediately, leaving her bed and moving into the bathroom. The maids helped her wash her hair and scrub her down, after which they wrapped her into a soft white bathrobe and led her back to the bedroom. One of them had laid out the exact ball gown Glinda had worn in her dream and the blonde blinked, taken aback for a moment.

After they helped her dress and did her hair and make-up, Glinda inspected herself in the mirror. She looked dazzling.

Now if only she had someone special to dazzle.

She heaved a sigh and thanked the maids, then left her rooms, going downstairs to the ballroom. The ball had already started – obviously; Glinda always made a point of being fashionably late – and as she had hoped, everyone turned around to look at her when she was announced, smiling and applauding for their leader. Glinda smiled, too, and waved at them as she slowly descended the stairs, basking in the admiration of the Ozian people.

Just when she had almost reached the end of the stairs, she found herself stepping on the hem of her dress and with a soft cry of surprise, she tripped. Instead of hitting the ground, however, she found herself being caught by a pair of strong, male arms.

"Careful," her saviour said and she could hear the smile in his voice. She looked up at him and found herself staring into a pair of twinkling grey eyes in a handsome face surrounded by dark blond hair. She gaped at him.

He righted her, but held her hand, bringing it up to his lips. "Lady Glinda. You are even more beautiful than everyone says you are."

She blushed. "Cohvu," she said, not quite believing it.

He frowned a little, confused. "Do we know one another?" he wondered aloud. He grinned at her. "Or did Fiyero mention me? I'm sure I would have remembered if I had met you before."

She shook her head. "We don't know one another," she said breathlessly. "Not really."

He looked into her eyes intently. "I'd like to, though," he said, his voice soft.

Her blush deepened and he squeezed her hand. "May I have this dance, Lady Glinda?"

"Of course," she said and he led her out onto the dance floor, placing one hand on her waist and keeping the fingers of his other hand entwined with hers.

"I still can't shake the feeling that I have met you before," Cohvu said after a while.

She smiled and laid her head on his shoulder. "We have. Kind of."

"We have?" He twirled her and pulled her back against his chest. "When? How?"

"Once upon a dream," she whispered.

He smiled and bent his head, his lips meeting hers in a beautiful, tender kiss.
