Previously on 'Expect The Unexpected' : Marley and Kitty haven't always been BFF's, but with a lot of understanding, a couple of slushy attacks, and a hell of a lot of tree climbing, they do become secret GF's. Kitty's home problems are complicated, her mom's a psychopath and her dad is the nicest man on the planet. Although, with her mom still being an evil bitch, surprisingly, Kitty still manages. Then lies are spread about Kitty's dad when he takes a business trip 2000 miles away and never comes home. Then Jake, the jealous whore, comes in and just about ruins everything, causing Kitty to flee to L.A for answers about her dad. Marley, not to be outdone however, runs into Levi, Kitty's guy bud, at the wedding reception for her crushed Glee teacher, Mr. Schuester. And the two decide to go to L.A together. When they get there, they see Kitty and Melanie getting their cuddle on, and then, shit hits the fan.

You could literally feel the tension in the California hotel room as both Marley and Melanie threw death glares at each other. Kitty was really nervous as she kept replaying everything that was happening, and Levi was trying to figure out a way to defuse the situation. Finally, he came up with one.

"So…uh, are you single?" He asked Melanie, causing all three girls to throw glares at him.

"WHAT THE HECK LEVI!?"

"Thanks a lot bro…"

"Um, I'm a lesbian honey."

"Well you can't blame a guy for trying." Levi raised his hands in defense. "Man, all the hot girls are lesbians… just look at Naya Rivera…"

"GET OUTTA HERE!"

"Oh my gosh…"

"I thought she was only a lesbian on that show she starred on? What's it called? Glee! I think…" Melanie thought to herself.

"IT DOESN'T MATTER"" Marley roared.

"NOBODY ASKED YOU BITCH!" Melanie yelled back. Kitty look mortified.

"GAH! What crawled up yall's asses and died!?" Levi said as he debated whether or not to walk out of the room or not. He really wanted to get some sleep from all that driving, but by the looks of things, it looked like Marley and Melanie were going to have a throw down soon, and he figured Kitty might need some back up.

"WHO ARE YOU!?" Marley roared, ignoring Levi's comment.

"Who am I!? Who the hell are YOU!?" Melanie loudly hissed back.

"Girls," a shocked Kitty finally spoke up.

"This is so hot…" Levi said, once again causing Marley and Melanie to glare at him and Kitty shaking her head.

"I'M KITTY'S GIRLFRIEND!" Marley angrily yelled as she turned her attention back to Melanie.

"Ex-girlfriend hun." Melanie retaliated.

"Don't call me that." Marley hissed.

"I am so turned on right now…" Levi commented.

"GUYS!" Kitty yelled and everyone eyes snapped towards her. "First off, Levi, out!" Kitty snapped her fingers, and Levi playfully scoffed.

"But-"

"OUT!"

"Fine! … I need get my beauty sleep anyway!" Levi said as he picked up his suitcase and dramatically walked out of the room, leaving only Kitty, Marley, and Melanie inside. Marley and Melanie continued to glare at each other like angry dogs waiting for the chance to get loose and attack each other.

"Secondly, Marley…what are you even doing here?" Kitty said as her heart beated so fast. She turned to her not-so-secret girlfriend in shock. She had so many questions.

"I came to get you back." Marley said confidently, which caused Kitty's heart to flatter and Melanie to scoff.

"Yeah, after YOU broke her heart. Bravo." Melanie growled.

"SHUT UP! NOBODY ASKED YOU!"

"DON'T TELL ME TO SHUT UP!"

"I can tell you whatever I want!"

"Yeah okay, now you're just asking to be punched. You're not in Lima anymore sweet cheeks, you're in LA!" Melanie said as she cracked her knuckles. Instead of getting scared, Marley started taking off her small earrings, and Kitty still tried to think of a way to defuse the situation.

"GIRLS!" Kitty yelled once again, getting both of the girls' attention. "No, NO ONE is going to fight in this room, okay?"

"But-" Marley and Melanie said simultaneously.

"NO!" Kitty loudly interrupted. She then turned her attention on Melanie. "Melanie, can uh, can you give Marley and I some time? I need to ask her some things." Kitty finished. Melanie flashed Kitty a hurt look, which Kitty noticed. "Don't worry, I'll talk to you later, I just uh, we actually need to clear some things up, okay?" Kitty reassured.

"Um, yeah okay. I uh-, gotta get to work anyway. I'll see you, whenever." Melanie said weakly as she hugged Kitty. As she was hugging Kitty, she glared at Marley and gave her a warning look. She then pulled away from Kitty, flashed a small smile at the blonde, and walked out of the room. Kitty and Marley stayed quiet for several minutes after that. Finally, Marley broke the silence.

"So, who was she?" Marley asked while looking at the ground.

"A friend." Kitty answered, also looking at the ground awkwardly. Marley felt her stomach rumble with anger.

"Yeah well, she must be a really good friend, considering you were in bed with her when I walked in." Marley insulted, causing Kitty's own stomach to rumble with fury.

"Huh, you're one to talk. Considering you left me for Jake."

"I didn't leave you for Jake."

"You walked out on me."

"I did," Marley answered as she took several cautious steps closer to the blonde, "And it was the worst mistake I ever made," The two girls were only a foot away from each other now. "I want you back." Marley finished, her blue eyes shined with regret and anticipation as she looked at her former girlfriend.

"Don't." Kitty whispered lowly in anger, but was nearly on the verge of tears as she was looking into the blue eyed brunette's eyes.

"Don't what?" Marley pressed on.

"Don't make me fall for you again." Kitty requested in anger. She then backed away from Marley and towards the small kitchen. Marley followed.

"I know I was wrong! I never slept with Jake though!" Marley called out as she followed Kitty.

"Yeah well you might as well have." Kitty said back. She leaned against the sink and tried to hold herself together. She didn't want to cry for Marley Rose ever again, although, that was an extremely difficult task. Marley felt like someone was pinching her heart with a needle deeper and deeper.

"I'm sorry Kitty. I don't know what to say. Please, tell me what I can do?" Marley begged.

"Nothing. Just, don't do nothing." Kitty said as she saw Marley emerging from the room towards the small kitchen. The blonde Cheerio really needed time to herself to think, so she passed Marley and walked back to the other room, causing Marley to sigh in frustration.

"Kitty, wait. I came here for you!"

"Well I'm not leaving for a while." Kitty answered. "I need to stay here, figure out some family problems."

"I know that, but I, I really needed to follow you and tell you this face to face." Marley said as she followed Kitty to the room. She noticed the blonde Cheerio had her back towards Marley, as though she were trying her best not to look at her. "I didn't think you were going to leave on Tuesday! You know, a warning would've been nice." Marley said, causing Kitty to scoff.

"Yeah, just like you warned me not to fall for you when you were still in love with Jake." Kitty growled angrily.

"I was NEVER in love with Jake!" Marley shrieked. "I'm in LOVE with YOU!"

"LIAR!" Kitty roared back, still not facing Marley. Marley then blew out a loud sigh of anger.

"You know what? You're just afraid!" Marley said, causing Kitty to immediately turn around in anger.

"What did you say?"

"You heard me. You're just afraid, to fall for someone, because you're afraid they're going to hurt you." Marley replied.

"Oh yeah? Well look what happened Marley! Can you blame me!? I-"

"You're just a scared little girl, with all her walls built up as high as her dreams. God knows I love you Kitty, but could you blame me for being skeptical of our relationship!? You never let anyone inside! You were mean to everyone! You were Sue Sylvester's mole! You were HEARTLESS." And if Kitty didn't love Marley so much, she would've exploded. But Kitty kept her cool, if you considered being ' very angry' cool.

"Don't bring up my past…" Kitty angrily warned.

"You wonder why people always thought you were so cold Kitty? Look at what you did Kitty! Just look at you!" Marley shrieked. She knew she was wrong, and that Kitty had changed towards them, but since they were arguing, Marley wasn't really sure what to do.

"Just look at me? Just look at YOU!" Kitty said as she marched right up to Marley and pointed her finger, "You're unbelievable! You come in my hotel room and try to claim me, as though you have every right!" Yeah sure, I did all those things, and it hurt a lot of people, but I wasn't always like that, and you know it! I loved you so much Marley! I climbed that stupid fuckin' tree that lead to your room for you while I was freezing my ass off! I actually cared for you like no other! But worse of all, I FELL FOR YOU!"

"So, you're saying our relationship was a mistake." Marley choked out, scared of the answer, but was still in rage. Kitty's angered look turned into a skeptical one.

"I don't know, you tell me." Kitty said in a sad, sad voice. Marley felt like someone had just stabbed her in the heart.

"Well, it surely didn't take you that long to get over me. You 'fell' for me. Yeah, right. Not even six days later I walk in on you in bed with another girl. But hey, no big deal right? After all, I am the one who ruined everything." Marley said sarcastically, causing Kitty's eyes to snap up in rage.

"First off, her name is Melanie. Melanie Sparks."

"That's ironic."

"Secondly, she's just not some 'girl', she's different. And thirdly, yes you caught us in bed. In bed! That's all. We haven't slept together or anything. Sure, we've made out, and we've thought about it, but-"

"OH! So you thought about it!?" Marley croaked out in anger. She couldn't hold it back anymore; the tears started streaming down her face. Kitty felt like the biggest douchebag in the whole entire world, but the blonde still held her ground.

"I'm just being honest."

"Too honest." Marley mumbled. Kitty caught on.

"Yeah, well I'd rather be too honest than not honest at all." Kitty raised her hands in a defensive stance. "I gave you an option, and you walked out."

"I didn't think that… we'd actually be over." Marley sadly mumbled.

"That's not my problem." Kitty said in a weak voice.

"I love you." Marley said. "And I want you back. And… I know you want me back too."

"You don't know anything Marley." Kitty said as she was walking towards Marley. Kitty was about to pass her until Marley made a grab for her arm.

"Like hell I don't." Marley growled. Kitty looked up at Marley, stunned.

"Let go of me." Kitty requested.

"No." Marley snapped.

"I said LET. GO." Kitty yelled as she pulled away her arm from Marley's grip. She then turned her back on Marley.

"I don't care what you say, I'm not giving up! On you, or us!" Marley announced, causing Kitty to bite her tongue in anger. She then noticed a plastic bowl of chips that her and Melanie were munching on last night, and without think, she grabbed the whole bowl and flung only the chips at Marley.

"I HATE YOU!" Kitty shrieked. Marley raised her arms up to block herself from the chips.

"No you don't! You hate that I walked out on you!" Marley retaliated as some of the chips made contact with her body. The next thing Kitty noticed was a couple of pillows beside the two chairs that surrounded her. She grabbed those and flung them at Marley too. Marley tried her best to dodge the two pillows, but one made contact with her face. Luckily, they were soft pillows.

"I HATE YOU!" Kitty shrieked again.

"I LOVE YOU!" Marley shrieked angrily.

"NO YOU DON'T!"

"Kitty, can't we just talk this out, we-"

"NO! I don't want to talk anything out! I just,-" Kitty trailed off. The blonde didn't know what she wanted. Part of her was absolutely thrilled that Marley was here, trying to get her back, but the other was still very heartbroken, unsure of her feelings, and very, very hurt and confused.

"What do want Kitty, tell me." Marley urged.

"I don't know what I want." Kitty answered truthfully as she released the next pillow she was about to throw at Marley.

"Kitty," Marley said as she took cautionary steps towards her former girlfriend. She noticed tears streaming down her eyes, so she wiped them away. Kitty moved her head to the right, trying not to like the contact Marley's hand was making with her cheek, but once again, failing miserably. But anyone who knows Kitty just as well as she knows herself, knows that Kitty's walls were now built, and that Marley was back to square one, whether she liked it or not.

"Don't." Kitty said as she back up again.

"Kitty-" Marley choked out.

"Leave." Kitty answered in a hard voice, causing more tears to fall off of a shocked Marley.

"It's over 2000 miles away-"

"Not L.A., just, you can't be here, here, in my room right now. I'm not in a healthy state."

"But-"

"I said leave." Kitty snapped.

"No." Marley said as she took several more steps to the brunette in a challenging stance. "I love you, and I'm not leaving." Marley finished, causing Kitty to laugh bitterly. Kitty, unaware of what to do next, just said the first thing that came to her mind.

"I don't care, I don't want you here." Kitty said, causing Marley's heart to break.

"I'm not giving up." Marley said.

"You know, you were always stubborn." Kitty said angrily as she walked towards her hotel door, opened it, and motioned for Marley to get out. "You were always a loser, too." Kitty said in her HBIC Persona, causing Marley's heart to break, and strangely, Kitty's too, in some way.

"How could you say that?" Marley asked, very, very hurt.

"I'm heartless, remember?" Kitty asked, not even looking Marley in the eye. Marley, unaware of what to do next, decided to give Kitty, and herself, some much needed time to cool down. So she walked to the opened door, stopped right in front of Kitty, but she wasn't looking at her. She was looking at the ground. She wanted to say something, but she wasn't sure what. So, she decided her safest bet was to say nothing at all. And boy, did she make a good choice, because as soon as she stepped out Kitty turned around, grabbed Marley's suitcase, flung it to her, and slammed the door on her. The sound of the door slamming sort of reflecting the sound of her heart breaking. But Marley swore to herself even before she got here that she was going to make things better, no matter what, and Marley was not usually one to give up. But the blue eyed brunette figured she needed some time to cool off, so she wiped her teary eyes, picked up her suitcase, and went towards the room Levi and her decided to split. Once she got there, she noticed the room lights were turned off. The only light was from the window drape, and barely, because it was super cloudy that morning. She then heard the sound of Levi's snores and that instantly cheered her up as she giggled. She wiped more tears away from her eyes. She examined the room. It looked almost exactly the same as Kitty's, except there were three comfortable looking, dark blue chairs instead of two. She put her suitcase down on one of the chairs and started unpacking, with nothing on her mind but Kitty, of course.

Meanwhile in Kitty's Room…

Kitty wasn't sure what to do. Marley just came barging in, just about. Unexpectedly. Not that it mattered to her. The blonde was so confused, angry, upset, a little bit glad, etc. She wasn't sure what to feel. She felt like she was going to explode from all her emotions. She felt like…

Yeah, yeah, yeah. She felt this, that, wah. Get on with it.

CONSCIENCE!

What!?

Ugh, look, I don't know what to do.

Yes, yes you do. You just don't want to do it because you're afraid of getting hurt again.

I don't even have time for this. I came to L.A. to find my dad.

No you didn't. Well, you kind of did. But another reason you came here was because, supposedly, Marley drove you away.

She walked out on me!

AND YOU LET HER!

Conscience, what the fuck? What the hell? What are you-

Yes, you're right! She walked out on you, but YOU let her! Kitty, SHE'S a GIRL!

And so am I…

Well, you're the guy of this relationship. Unless y'all be lipstick lesbians….then we-

JUST GET TO YOUR POINT!

Well rawr, someone woke up on the wrong side of the Melanie.

Melanie….

She's great, isn't she.

She is.

But so is Marley.

I don't want to think about Marley. Now anyway, I need to look at the map and make a couple of calls so I can get some more information on my dad's said 'business trip'. Do you mind, conscience?

~Sighs~ So that's it? You're just going to run away from your problems?

Why not? I'm good at it.

And with that, Kitty tuned out her conscience and went towards her small work desk that came with the hotel room. She got some papers out of the drawer and got out her cell phone to make a few calls to her dad's company.

Back To Marley…

As Marley was barely finishing unpacking a couple of blouses, she heard a knock on her door.

"Room service!" A sweet but tired voice rang out.

"Coming." Marley said as she rushed to the door. "It's not really needed plus you sound tired and I-" as soon as Marley opened the door she saw her 'competition'. Melanie was standing there with a smile on her face, but the smile instantly turned into a cold frown as the sight of Marley.

"Slut-"

"Whore-" The two of them said at the exact same time, causing the two girls to scowl at each other.

"You're one to talk, considering I walked in on you two in bed. I hope you're having fun, you know, being her booty call and all." Marley retaliated and consciously gasped to herself. She had never said something like that to anyone. But it didn't look like Melanie took it personally, because she just laughed bitterly.

"Whatever it takes to make her get over someone like you." Melanie said as she turned around and was about to walk away.

"Someone like me…?" Marley called out, confused and angry. Melanie slowly turned around on her heel and glared challengingly at Marley.

"Yeah, someone like you. Little girls who are confused about what they want. You and I both know that Kitty doesn't mean anything to you. She's just an experiment to you."

"That's not true!" Marley growled.

"Are you sure, hun?"

"You don't know anything."

"Neither do you." Melanie replied. "I don't care if I'm a 'booty call' or whatever, I'll like Kitty more than you ever will."

"You like her all you want. I love her, and she loves me."

"Whatever. Just stay out of my way, and I'll stay out of yours. Deal?" Melanie said, wanting to wrap things up.

"That's the best thing I heard all day." Marley answered. Melanie then smile mischievously. She then walked away and bumped into Marley's shoulder really hard, on purpose.

"What the heck was that for?" Marley growled angrily.

"Just a little love tap. May the best woman win." Melanie answered, still not facing Marley and walking away down the hall. Which is good, because if looks could kill, Melanie wouldn't be breathing at the moment.

Even though I don't deserve it for making y'all wait, reviews are always appreciated! I love hearing y'alls feedback. Make my day, maybe? (:
