35. AN: Where Have I Been?

Hello Readers,

To get straight to the point, I am going to stop feeding y'all shit about me finishing this story and putting it to bed by the end of 2017. Heck, it's already October 2017. In fact, I am not even sure that I know when exactly I'll be able to finish this fanfiction.

To be blunt, I have been very unmotivated to write. Looking back upon previous chapters, I keep finding gigantic loopholes, pages upon pages of fluffy filler, and way too much blushing...let's be honest here. Have you ever blushed a rosy red due to a romantic interaction? Why did you do this to me, fanfiction-fetus me? And then tack on the fact that almost everything is in first person, and I sound like a moron when I write in first person.

Next order of completely-honest-ranting, I recently met a really awesome person who insta-motivated me to write again. For privacy sakes, we will call her Nya. Everyone say hello and thanks to Nya. When I first started this story, I would stay up to midnight writing chapters for you guys and first thing in the morning, I would check for reviews. I was obsessed. But as time went on, the novelty of fanfiction wore off and I lost my spark. But after becoming friends with Nya over the past year, I can officially say my writing spark is slowly returning. And so are my typing skills, which need a little oil. Is the v on the left side of the b key or on the right side again? I bet half of y'all just looked.

And to that we toast. Raise your glass to no more time crunches; letting the story resolve at the speed it needs to resolve at; my slow-going attempts to convert all first-person to third-person; inconsistencies between upcoming chapters and past chapters as I clean up fanfiction-fetus me's errors; and my friend Nya who lit the fire under my bum to start writing again. To future chapters and every one of you still reading. If you made it through the note, I am proud of you. I will be leaving this note up and will not delete this note, even when I post the next chapter.

I am already working on another chapter in addition to revisions to editing previous chapters, so hope to see you soon!
