The Half – Chapter 36: Wanted for the Sake of Wanting

Buildings unlike Sindria covered the city. It's title and name were unknown to her, and made no difference. It was another place that she had not even been to, and if she had, it had been long ago and was not within this area. The harbor was just down a ways, and a few blocks from the building that Sinbad had gone to for his meeting, as well as the same building that would hold them for the night. The half had been set free for a while, to look about while the duties of a King were to remain secluded within a room with other officials. She had found no desire to go to the room that they would be staying at, and had gone directly out into the streets, where there were people about, doing their own things. Her person grabbed none of the common folk's attention.

Her being was dressed in the same baggy pants that she had wore when sparring with Masrur, but her top was replaced with a more casual like shirt that tied down and at her waist, where it met her pants. It had no sleeves, and was a plain off white like color. Something that drew in no real attention to herself. Her hair had been let free from any hair tie as it laid against her back. A single braid was intertwined in her hair, and held a red ball like at the end, as though it was to hold the braid in its place, and keep it from unraveling. Her golden arm cuff remained, as did the gold chain that held a red pendent on it, decorated her neck. A small dagger that Yamuraiha had given to Kyo, had been tied to her inner, lower leg. Her feet displayed a more simple like set of shoes that covered her toes, the heel, and the bottom of her feet.

With blue eyes to match her hair, Kyo looked around herself, and the things around her. A look of slight interest was in her gaze. And the desire to know what was going on, sparked her curiosity. But with one wrong turn, her adventure had flipped.

Upon stepping out into a smaller area, where there were not many, three men dressed in a unique armor, stepped out from a small shop. Their attention going up to Kyo as she was still a distance away, but enough for them to see her face clearly.

"You…" One stepped forward and held a spear, using it to bang into the ground, to show his authority to the female. Her eyes slowly looking upward to the male. "Haven't we seen you before?" he raised an eyebrow as the other two looked from one another, than to the female.

"She does look a bit familiar…" another made mention and stepped forward. The three now were to come and block her path, and would show no signs of letting her pass without saying something.

"I don't think we have. Now if you would please excuse me…" she began, and started to push her way past them,

"Hold on." The first man called out, and grabbed onto her wrist, and pulled her back towards them. His eyes narrowed as he looked at her face. "I know I've seen this face before…" the third man pulled something out from his side, and unfolded a paper, a slight gasp coming from his lips as his eyes widened. "That's her!" He said, and turned the paper towards his fellow soldiers, showing a wanted poster with a rough sketch of Kyo.

"You're the one that Lord Judar told us all to capture if we found….!" The first man stated. A rush of flight ran into Kyo's mind as her own eyes widened to the announcement of her wanting. These were not just any soldiers, but soldiers from Kou.

"Uh…" she mumbled, and then yanked her hand out and away from the soldier's grasp as she turned on heel, and took off past them.

"Hold it right there!" they called, and began to chase after her, with their spears. "You are a wanted person within the kingdom of Kou, stop!" they demanded, but she made no hesitation in continuing to run. Her few spent hours away from Sinbad, had already proved that she was in trouble. Her only place to run was back to the same building that Sinbad remained at. She had no choice in fighting as she had been made to not use any Djinn powers; and with to turn and fight would most likely lead to worse actions to follow.

"Stop, in the name of Kou!" she heard them yell. Kyo made no intention of responding as she looked upward for the taller building, and to try and make her way towards it. The choice of losing them and hiding would not be one that might be best to take. If there were three that she ran into here, there was a higher chance that there was to be more within this city. All with the notion of catching her if she were spotted, and recognized.
