37. Eyes

Universe: Yu-Gi-Oh!

"Hey Yuge, what's with your eyes?" Joey asked randomly one afternoon.

"What?" Yugi replied, confused.

"They're purple."

"So?" That didn't clear up Yugi's confusion any.

"They used to be blue. You can still see alright, can't you?" Joey looked really worried.

Yugi nodded without thinking, and then paused as Joey's words sunk in. His eyes had been blue, but now they were purple. The worst thing was that he had absolutely no idea when that had happened. Had it happened all of a sudden when he'd completed the Puzzle, or little by little as he'd been exposed to more and more Shadow Magic?

Author Note: Inspired by the fact that Yugi's eyes in the manga changed colour on the cover pics from blue (during the original) to purple.
