The Floo Powder Accident
Chapter 37
Thank you for the two reviews. To the guest, I've been trying to concentrate a bit more on the Hunger Games characters since I was focusing lots on the Harry Potter characters. But I'll bring them more in since there's going to be lots happening. I think I'll skip after this chapter to a couple of years later. :) (Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter or the Hunger Games, I do own my OCS though. ;) You can use them if you want, haha.) Oh, and I'm sorry that I haven't updated frequently. School is very overwhelming at the moment since I have a job that takes up two whole school days and then I'm busy with the schoolwork. I've also been reading a book series so I've been distracted again. Sorry for the very late update. As well there's been Halloween and I've been decorating some rooms and I have a piano recital coming up so... Sorry again.
Katniss had sent Prim a yellow skirted dress. Above the skirt it changed to a dark black that snugged her shoulders. The skirt dragged down to her yellow high heels. She wore a golden ring with a yellow gem. Prim applied a light pink lipstick that blended into her original lip's colour. All the girls scurried from the bathroom to their bed, adding jewels and looking in their own small mirrors to apply makeup. It was chaotic.
For the final touch, Prim put her hair in a braid, like Katniss's. It was easy to do, watching her mother do it in a mirror you seemed to catch on somehow. Even if you couldn't see.
On the other side of the castle, in the Gryffindor Common Room, Hermione had been ready for a while now. She had the frustrating task of straightening her hair however. It was like being hit in the gut multiple times, yet her fingers were the ones being hit, slowly becoming numb. She wore a blue dress, (A/N it was blue in the books.) it flowed down under her knees. It wasn't puffy yet had layers. She wore flower earrings. In the flower was one that stuck out even more, increasing it's beauty.
Prim stepped down the stairs, clutching the wall slightly. She never wore heels before so it was difficult to walk in. Everyone seemed surprised since she was supposedly going to Beauxbatons before. Everyone luckily went along with it, as odd as it seemed. She met Luke at the bottom of the stairs. He had dress robes that were brand new. He waved awkwardly at her, and blush slowly crept to her cheeks.
"Hi," Prim smiled. "You look really nice."
"Thanks, you too," he responded with a grin.
"Should we - uh - go?" Prim awkwardly said while shifting on her feet. Luke nodded and they formally strolled to the door, no jokes or anything but silence. However, there was a ringing in Prim's ear, like when it was silence there was always something there. She tried to block it out but it came back as annoyingly as possible.
Harry sat down next to Parvati, her face growing dull with apathy. He knew he wasn't doing something much for fun. Harry sighed as Ron and Padma joined them. He noticed Hermione dancing next to Victor Crum. Other girls around them all seemed to be staring off at Victor. He noticed Ron fold his arms with an exhale of frustration.
Prim spotted Harry and Ron from the other side of the room. "Do you know Harry and Ron?" Prim asked Luke, they stood against the wall. Prim didn't really like dancing, and Luke. Instead they had been having conversation about the Wizarding World and school.
"Not really," Luke paused. "I know them sort of, said hi once but that's all." he ran his hand through his hair with a uncomfortable expression.
"Oh, I stayed with the Weasleys for a while, moving and all," Prim bit her lip. She decided to hide most of her life but not all of it. It seemed nice to discuss something bits of her story.
"Cool," he replied simply, biting his lip.
"They let me and my sister... Some other people that were moving with us stay, in this enchanted tent. The place had furniture and it seemed like it had so many halls that there were over a hundred, never ending even." Prim's hand were in the air while motioning the words.
"Yeah, my family had something like that at the Quidditch World Cup, it was cool," Luke smiled.
So I wanted to end it there since it's like, well what's happening after... And it's a if if they actually get together or something. Since it could go down hill or up. I have no idea where I'm going to skip to so that's going to be fun to plan. And if you want to throw in a suggestion of where or what may be happening that'd be nice to know your opinion.
Once again, I'm very sorry for the late update. I had started this chapter a while ago and I couldn't just end it. But thanks for your patience!
