'Tyler's Journal

Date: I think its February eleventh. I need to find a way to keep track of the dates here.

It's been about seven days since I started this journal and things are heating up. We discovered that 'The Reaper' was Alex the whole time. He pretended to be an ally so he could sneak in and steal the Akatsu while I was asleep. We found him out the following morning and Ryan fought him in a one on one duel. He suffered major injuries. He'll survive, but he's now forbidden from fighting for the rest of this war.

That's not all the bad news though, we also failed to save Emmeryn, and while I'm upset at my failure to do anything to change this, I'm just going to keep moving towards the future. Besides, she'll be back alive and partially well in approximately two years' time. As long as 'The Flame' doesn't feel like dicking us over.

Finally, Lewis is now fighting alongside us. Apparently he had plans to reveal his identity of being Kevin and Melissa's kid to them after this war, but his plan got sent down the shitter when he was accused of attacking Ryan. So, he spilled the beans to Kevin when we eavesdropped on him suffering Jessica confessing her love to Melissa and then pretty much making him commit polygamy. Poor bastard, this is going to be chaos for a while.

A few days after that chaos, we finally decided to set out for the Border Wastes. Gangrel should be waiting there for us, because it's now or never. We need to kill the bastard before he gets to Ylisse, or we're royally fucked.'

I closed my journal and shoved it back into my bag. I'm currently hanging out in one of the carriages while my leg feels stiff as a log. Apparently, while it wasn't instant, my leg somehow got completely numb from having it sink in the snow a few days back. I think it was after I disengaged the spell I used to keep my body warm and the cold sensation probably caught up. "Hopefully I'll be good to fight when we're near our destination."

For once, I would prefer to be walking than sitting in this carriage because it's so damn boring. Now that I think about it, I get bored WAY too easily. This better not be a secret urge to fight building up inside me, because I think I'll go insane if it is.

"Hey, are you okay?" Asked the person currently driving my carriage.

"Well, I would personally prefer to be walking alongside my comrades, over just sitting here, and hoping my leg is good for the battle." I answer.

"Well, I heard from your comrades up front that we're close." The driver stated.

"Good, I'm not a personal fan of being forced into sitting in the convoy at the last second." I commented, making sure to move my arm so a lance doesn't poke it.

"It could be worse." The driver said.

"How?"

"You could be in the carriage to the right." He answered. I quickly poke my head out of the front flap of the carriage and look to the right. Looks like he was right, that carriage is on fire… wait, ON FIRE!

"Do you mind speeding up, I think they're attacking from behind!" I requested in a panic.

"It doesn't matter where we run, it seems like they found the lost Meteor tome." He said, looking up. I do the same and notice a few meteors starting to fall towards our location.

"Shit, shit, shit!" I started scouring the convoy for anything that could deal with the meteors. I might know a decent number of spells, but I know nothing that could destroy a fucking meteor of all things.

"Screw it, hang on! If those things are going to hit us, I'd prefer to be hit trying to avoid them!" The driver yelled as he whipped the horses reigns, making it speed up.

"Oh shit!" I yell as I fall flat on my back. I quickly roll to the side as a spear that was supposed to be stocked fell out of its place. Geez, for a place that's supposed to be a backup reserve for our weapons, you think they would have been stocked more properly.

"Sorry about that!" The driver yelled while he made a hard left. I was tossed to the side a little bit, but luckily no weapons fell from their storing space this time.

"What the hell is summoning those meteors anyways!?" I shout while trying to keep myself from jostling around anymore.

"Hell if I know! But I can be certain that it has to be the work of a meteor tome!" He replied while making a hard right. I made sure to keep myself upright this time as a sword fell and barely missed my hand.

"How long until we reach the front of the group?" I asked the driver.

"We'll be there soon, but with all the meteors falling down, I can't stop." The driver stated.

"Fine, give me a countdown for when we're almost there, and I'll jump." I requested the driver as I quickly grabbed a Steel sword, a Levin, and a Concoction. I figured the Levin sword might act as a decent amp for my lightning spells on the trip here. Unfortunately, this will also be my test run of it, so I hope it works.

"Okay, three!" I quickly strap my gear on and get right outside the flap of the carriage. "Two!" I get into a more ready position, preparing my jump. "One!" I anxiously await his signal. "Jump!" I jump off the carriage and roll for a few seconds. Once I stop rolling, I jump to my feet and look around the area to observe my surroundings. It looks like we ran into some resistance in the form of Soulion again, I can see 'The Flame's' insignia on their armour.

"Good thing that numb feeling in my leg is gone now, I guess the adrenaline to fight took over." I comment, drawing my Steel sword. I don't mind killing Soulion as much as killing an actual person, since they just evaporate like Risen after suffering a fatal wound. The screams of pain still make me shiver though.

"Thoron!" I quickly jump to the side as sudden bolt of electricity suddenly flew by.

"Damn, they already have the heavy hitters out." I commented. I quickly started to chant a spell, hoping I could make it come out faster than he can use another Thoron.

'Great thunder within come forth and run through my enemy.' I quickly raise my left hand and keep my sights on the Sage. "Voltic Lance!" I extend my arm to the Sage and summon a spear of pure electricity towards the Sage.

"What the…!" The lance runs right through his chest and the force of the impact knocks him onto his back. He vanishes into red smoke a mere second after he lands on his back. I decided to just go after the next one and try to lower the numbers of these damn monstrosities.

Elsewhere…

(3rd person POV)

In a fortress to the far south of the Border Wastes, the mad king of Plegia was currently awaiting the Ylissean army. "Gyahahahaha! I am once again impressed by your tactics Aversa. Those fools of 'The Flame' joined us for nothing." He said while laughing maniacally.

"Well of course my liege. They're just as foolish as any other man, so I just had to play into their desires and the rest is done." She stated with a sadistic smile.

"This should assure our victory against those Ylissean whelps. Even if they defeat our new recruits, they'll still have my elite guard to deal with." Gangrel stated in a cocky tone. Not far from their position a figure was hiding in the shadows eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Shit, I need to warn the boss." The figure muttered a bit louder than he liked. Aversa and Gangrel turned to face the direction the figure was in.

"It seems as though we have a little pest in our midst." Aversa commented with a sadistic giggle.

"Well, let's dispose of this pest then." Gangrel said as he brandished his Levin sword.

"Double shit." The figure cursed at his luck. Gangrel raised his sword into the air and summoned a bolt of lightning using his sword's power. The bolt struck the place where the figure was standing, attempting to electrocute him to death. "Gah!" The figure screamed in agony until he fell onto his knees.

"Seems like our pest is going to need another ZAP!" Gangrel taunted while preparing to summon another bolt of lightning. The figure tried his hardest to get back onto his feet, but to no avail. His nerves were paralyzed slightly from the first bolt, and left him unable to move.

"No, allow me my king." Aversa requested as she summoned a dark tome. Sparks of dark energy started to form on her palm as she pointed it towards the figure.

"Triple shit!" The figure cursed as he saw his demise right in front of him. 'I need a way out of this, and fast!' He thought in a panic. Using any strength he still had, he raised his right arm in front of his face, hoping to block it with a shield that just came into view from the shadows. Aversa unleashed the spell from her palm and it hit the shield head on, but the force of the impact sent the figure flying back first into a wall. The wall he slammed against was weak and crumbled under the impact in an instant. 'It beats being dead at least.'

"I think we should make sure the pest is actually dead." Gangrel said. Looking in the direction of the collapsed wall.

"Do not worry my liege, even if he was alive, I have doubts that he'll be alive for much longer." Aversa stated.

'Idiots, did they really think I wouldn't keep an Elixir just in case something like this happened.' The figure thought as he pulled out said elixir and ingested some of its contents. His injuries were quickly healed and he ran off to the east.

On some higher ground to the east, two figures were standing, waiting for something. One of them was the reaper known as Alex Harasu, the other is the hooded figure known as 'The Flame'. "Do you really think he'll pull off a stealth op of all things?" Alex asked his commander with slight worry.

"I have hope he'll return. He just needs to find out why almost all of our forces defected to Plegia's army as permanent soldiers." The Flame answered with his arms crossed.

"You put too much faith in Helion, we should just go down there and dispose of the traitors." Alex suggested.

"No, we are not getting involved. Not yet anyways." The Flame notified Alex, keeping a keen eye on the battle.

"Yet?" Alex asked, confused by the meaning of The Flame's statement.

"I plan on having a grand reveal after that bastard is killed. I'm considering it a reward for their efforts against my weaker forces." The Flame explained.

"These are some of our weaker forces? They seem pretty formidable when compared to the rest of the Plegian army." Alex noted, seeing that any Plegian forces among the small army of traitors are wiped out.

"Don't forget that a majority of the souls we reincarnated made them essentially emotionless, that's still a drawback that I hate." The Flame commented, noticing that the traitors are almost completely defeated by this point.

"Good point." Alex nodded in agreement, his scythe wielding hand starting to twitch in anticipation to kill something. 'Dammit, my time as Delta is starting to influence me again.' He thought with an annoyed expression.

"Sir, I have come with my report." Helion arrived at his target, looking slightly worse for wear due to his problems against Gangrel and Aversa.

"Speak, Helion. What did you learn about the traitors?" The Flame asked in an orderly tone.

"It seems as though Gangrel only intends to use them to tire out the Ylisseans. He's going to come in with his elite guard afterwards and finish them off." Helion answered, covering a wound that didn't heal the way he hoped it would.

"I see. It would be bad if we lost the only thing that could help us sway Valm to help us in the future. Alex, feel free to wipe out some of the elite guard while the Ylissean army continues to deal with the traitors." The Flame ordered, keeping a calm tone.

"It would be my pleasure." Alex said with a sadistic smile. He readied his scythe and quickly ran towards the mad king's elite guard.

"Are you sure that was a good idea?" Helion asked The Flame with a pained look.

"His lust for death is starting to act up again, I figured he should try to satisfy himself before he considers turning on us. Besides, this will work in our favour if word of the reaper's conquest gets to Valm." The Flame stated.

"How the hell would that go in our favour." Helion asked, still clutching his wound.

"I know that the conqueror, Walhart respects power. If we can show him that we have a powerful ally that could change the tide of battle, I believe our chances of getting on his good side would be higher." The Flame answered with a slight grin.

"How do you even know this?" Helion asked.

"The Outrealm gates are essentially this world's version of the Time Rift you were originally imprisoned in. I happened to stumble across them by accident and went through all of these wars, over and over again, always changing sides at each run through, always taking notes on certain strategies and events, harvesting some of the souls to help expand my army, all so I could take 'him' down." The Flame stated, showing a more hateful expression.

"The Necromancer, who you also refer to as 'Reality's Chaos', correct?" Helion asked, trying to make sure he got all the facts right.

"Correct, but now that we found 'Reality's Order', we just need to make sure that the ritual is completed, but even our army alone won't defeat our obstacles in its current state, so that's why we need to pick our sides carefully." The Flame told Helion.

"I see, but for now all we can do is wait, right?" Helion asked.

"Correct." The Flame answered, shifting his focus back onto the battle.

(Tyler's POV)

"Is there an end to these damn things?" I groaned as I cut down another Soulion soldier. By this point I managed to reunite with the others and we're working on dealing with the ambush.

"I think these things are almost disposed of." Robin answered to my left, using an Arcwind tome to defeat one of their Wyvern Riders.

"Well I'm getting tired of fighting these damn things for so long." Kevin commented to my right cutting down another Myrmidon.

"After we're done with these guys, we'll likely need to prepare a strike force with those of us who are the least exhausted." I suggested.

"You can definitely count me out for once, I'm actually near my limit." Kevin stated, running towards another one of their Warriors.

"I'll run the idea by Chrom when we're done here." Robin said, switching to an Arcfire tome. He quickly casted the spell and incinerated an incoming Mercenary.

"Hopefully that will be soon." I mutter while launching a Voltic Lance towards an unsuspecting Cavalier. I quickly turned to the right and parried a vertical swing from a Myrmidon that almost blindsided me. I quickly went in for a counter by striking him in the chest with my elbow. I finished with a diagonal slash across his chest. "I think that's actually the last of them." I comment, looking around the area.

"Good, I'll go notify Chrom about the plan, and then we'll see who's in the best shape to continue fighting." Robin stated, putting away his tome.

"Just to let you know, I'm joining in the battle." I say, sheathing my sword.

"All right, just be ready to proceed." Robin requested as he went away to notify Chrom about our next course of action. I decided to just sit down on the ground for a bit and recover some of my stamina. I just have a feeling that Gangrel's elite guard is going to be a giant pain in the ass.

"Why the hell did 'The Flame' send out all of these soldiers, was he this desperate to change the tides of this war?" I asked myself, deciding to lie down on the ground until we were ready to proceed.

"He's not even close to that stupid." I look up to see Lewis standing above me. He decided to take a seat to my left and stabbed his sword into the ground.

"So what are you suggesting?" I asked Lewis, getting into a sitting position.

"Someone else managed to take control of these forces. Despite the fact they were reincarnated souls, they still keep their human attributes." He stated.

"I guess you're insinuating that Gangrel or someone working close to him convinced all of these Soulion to work strictly for Plegia?" I theorized with a hand on my chin.

"Exactly, and judging that this force was nothing but males, I wouldn't be shocked if that whore was the one who tempted them." He said with his arms crossed. He definitely means Aversa there, she's the only character in the awakening-verse who tends to use their 'assets' a bit too much.

"Understandable, she knows how to play at desires a bit too well." I commented.

"Well, she won't be doing that shit anymore after I shove this sword somewhere that she won't enjoy it." He said in a half joking manner.

"That will be a hard place to find." I joked. I'll admit, cracking a light joke actually raised my morale a bit, hell I think that's why we're having this back in forth, if none of us have decent morale, we'll be slaughtered in no time flat.

"Heh, nice one. Anyways, let's get our gear ready, the strike force should be ready soon." Lewis said as he got back onto his feet. He offered a hand and I took it as he pulled me back to my feet.

"Thanks."

"No problem, now let's meet up with the others." He suggested while pulling his sword out of the ground. He seems to hold it in a reverse grip so the blade points the way his back is facing.

"Hey, why do you hold your sword like that anyways?" I decided to ask. It was out of nothing more than curiosity, bit I'll admit that fighting in that style could be interesting as well.

"It's just how I was taught. Believe it or not, unlike dad who by this point has fourteen years of swordplay experience, I only have three. I wasn't interested in fighting for a while, but when I realized that things were getting tough, someone needed to help deal with it." He answered.

"So you were essentially a pacifist until then?" I asked.

"Yeah, it was an old habit of mom's until her incident." He answered, actually seeming like he was a little reminiscent about it. "Anyways, let's save the chit chat for later, it looks like the others are walking to us." He stated. I looked towards the direction he was facing and I noticed a decent size of our force moving towards us. If I were to take a guess on the people there, I would say it was Chrom, Robin, Sumia, Anna, Lon'qu, Sully, Vaike, Cordelia, Kellam the nearly invisible tank, Ricken, Lissa, and Alicia. Combine the numbers of that squad with me and Lewis, and we have fourteen people in this squad, although I wouldn't be shocked if Olivia eventually joined in.

"Good, you two are ready." Robin stated as he approached us from the group.

"Yeah, so what's the plan?" I asked. Robin quickly pulled out a map of the area and made it easy for Lewis and I to see.

"We're going to split our strike force into three squads, two consisting of four people, the third consisting of six. The first squad will head to the fortresses to the west, checking to make sure they're unoccupied. If they're occupied, then the squad will have to seize the fortresses and stay there to prevent further reinforcements from attacking." Robin stated.

"Who will be in this squad?" Lewis asked.

"I settled on it consisting of Lon'qu, Cordelia, Ricken, and Lissa." Robin answered.

"And Chrom is okay with this?" I asked, looking over to Chrom. He gave a nod, but I could see traces of worry on his face. I wouldn't blame him, it is his sister going in that squad and he already lost one earlier, so I wouldn't be shocked if he wanted to lower the risks.

"Now then, the second squad will head east and deal with the fortresses in that region, but be careful. There are a lot of mages and Wyvern riders in that area, but if we play smart they shouldn't be an issue. This squad will consist of Kellam, Alicia, Sully, and Vaike…"

"Hold it for a quick second, wouldn't that give the mages in their force an advantage?" Lewis interjected.

"Actually, Alicia could do a good job of dealing with the mages since her capabilities are pretty damn good, so I believe Robin wants Alicia to deal with them first before the rest of the squad goes in, right?" I ask.

"That's exactly right, but in the event things get too hectic, I told her to launch a fire spell into the sky, and a member from the third squad will provide support since we'll be the closest." Robin answered.

"I see, and I take it that the third squad is going after Gangrel then?" I decided to confirm it just in case.

"Yes, we're going to deal with the main portion of his elite guard, taking them out bit by bit and we need to seize the fortresses down south as well." Robin stated.

"I see, but Gangrel will most likely be in the one in the center at the south, so I think we should avoid it until we seize the other two." I suggested.

"I see your point, if we leave them open while we're fighting Gangrel, its possible reinforcements could ambush us." Robin commented.

"That's why I brought it up."

"All right, we'll capture the fortresses first, and then we'll go after Gangrel." Robin said, adjusting the plan slightly.

"Good, now is everyone ready?" Chrom asked the group. All of us nodded our heads as a sign that we're good to go. "All right then, let's end this war and put the mad king in his place!"

With something akin to a mighty roar, we all split into our teams and proceeded after our targets. I have to say though, I never expected myself to be a part of the main attack squad, did Kevin put in a good word for me or something? Or did they just think I had the skill to fight in this squad. Either way, I'm making sure that I do everything I can to end this war today.

"Time for a little fun." I heard Lewis comment to my left. He quickly ran towards a nearby warrior and cleaved his arm off before he even knew what was coming.

"Well, shit." I comment upon seeing that. I quickly unsheathe the steel sword and head towards one of the 'heroes' seriously, I always wondered what was with that class name if enemies could use it as well. Forget it, I have more important things to focus on. "Frost Spike!"

Such as freezing my opponent in place with a spire of ice. I'd normally have to chant to summon it so quickly, maybe I'm getting better at using this spell? That, or I just remember the spell so easily now that I can recite it in my head in no time flat. Either way, I cut my frozen victim down and proceed to the next.

I quickly catch a fighter in my sights and quickly approach from behind. I stab my sword through his back and slash upwards, causing the upper half of his body to split in two. Admittedly that's gross, especially since I can see his brains' inside and a few intestines wiggling around.

After resisting the urge to puke, I switch out to my Levin sword and search for a target to strike down. "Hmm… where oh where is another one of these Plegian bastards?" I ask myself. I catch a warrior in my sights and use the Levin sword's power to summon a bolt of lightning on the unsuspecting victim. With a loud crack, the bolt zaps him in less than a second, now leaving him in a paralyzed mess. "It's not as fun as a spell."

Deciding to continue onwards, I began my search for another soldier. In my hunt, a Scythe suddenly flew by planting itself in the ground a short distance away. "Shit, now is not the time for him." I mutter, starting to run away from the scythe. I quickly looked back and saw the expected Reaper appearing with a decapitated soldier's corpse in his hand.

While running from Alex, I noticed a sudden red flash appear and face its direction. "The signal! Something bad must be happening over there." I noted. Luckily Alex doesn't seem to give two shits about it and walked the other way, and I swear he had a sadistic grin on his face while he dragged away the corpse.

"Close call." I mutter, about to go towards the flare's direction.

"No, you're staying here." I hear a voice say from behind me. I quickly turn around to see Lewis about to take off running towards its source.

"Good luck."

"Won't need it." He started to run towards the flare's source. He sure as hell seems to be cocky as hell right now. I'll ask him about that later, right now I need to get back into focus.

"Bolganone!"

"Oh SHIT!" I quickly jump to the side as a giant pool of lava burst upwards from where I was formerly standing. I look at the direction the voice came from and noticed a Sage, and two Warriors. This is going to be interesting.

I quickly draw my steel sword and await the first strike. One of the warriors comes forth with his axe raised. He swung it downwards with mighty force, aiming to completely cleave me in two. I quickly jump back, knowing I stand absolutely no chance at blocking it and counter by thrusting sword forward. The warrior leaned to the side and grabbed my hand and raised his axe once more.

"Gale Pulse!" Using a stronger version of Wind Burst, I knock the warrior much farther back than usual and make him drop the axe. Quickly using the opening, I run over to him and deliver a single cut from his right hip, to his left shoulder.

"Urgh…" The soldier groaned before collapsing onto the ground in a heap.

"Bastard!" An arrow barely whiffs by, slightly grazing my cheek. I look up to see the other warrior using a bow. He knocks another arrow and prepares to fire again. "This is for killing my friend!" He released arrow, aiming for around my chest. I quickly twist my body to the side to dodge the attack and go in to counter the attack. The warrior fires of another arrow, aiming for my head, I quickly slide underneath and made sure I was facing him when I did so. Using the momentum of the slide, I kick him out from underneath his feet and quickly scramble to my own before he could get up. Using the opening, I slash open his back to finish the job and begin my search for the sage.

"Thoron!" Barely hearing the command, I quickly turning in the direction I think I heard the voice come from. Before I could even react, a giant bolt of electricity hit me, sending disturbing amount of volts through my body.

"Damn it…" I groaned as I fell to my knee. One more shot like that and I'm toast.

"Now to end it, Bolganone!" I could see the flame around my position slowly start to form. So, using whatever strength I had, I rolled to the right, missing the burst of lava by mere inches. Thinking he hit me with that shot, he turned around and chanted another spell. Looks like someone needed to train his soldiers better.

"Only one shot, I need to make this count." I slowly stand on my feet, making sure to use my sword as a cane. I place my hands together and begin to chant. 'Just remember, I have to have a need to kill with this one.'

"Great shadows of the damned…" I can feel a slightly darker presence start to form, but I can't afford to break focus now.

"…hear my call and destroy thy foe…" Come on, I still don't think I have enough of a will to kill for this to work, I must keep going.

"…by consuming his soul and sending it to the depths of hell!" I separate my hands and make sure one of them faces his direction. It's now or never.

"Dark Abyss!" Underneath the sage's feet, a circle of nothing but pure darkness formed. Protruding from the circle, spikes pierced the sage through the stomach, arms, legs, and chest, making sure he barely survives so he could face me.

"W-what the h-hell a-are you?" He asks in panic with blood seeping from his mouth. I close my hand and the spikes start to lower, dragging the impaled sage with them. "N-no, no no no no no no no AAAAAAAAAAHHH!" The spikes finished dragging him into the ground and the circle closed, erasing all traces of the sage.

"That's probably all of them." I commented, unaffected by the sage's demise. What the hell is happening to me, is death really starting to not affect me like this.

I did a quick look around the area just to confirm no more soldiers were around. After confirming there were none around, I decided to sit and take a small breather. "Damn, that Thoron is still leaving a small effect." I comment, feeling some of my nerves spazzing a little bit.

*BANG*

I raise my head up for a moment to see a bolt of lightning that's a little off to the right suddenly strike down. I guess that's a sign that Chrom and Robin have engaged Gangrel in battle. I guess I should go help, but I need something to deal with this numb feeling first. "I guess a vulnerary might be worth a shot." I take out a small vial of said medicine and down some of its contents. "Still tastes like shit." I joked.

Feeling a little less numb, I slowly get back onto my feet and prepare my sword. "This is not going to be easy." I comment, trying to get back the feeling in my legs so I could run over. Once I was sure my legs felt a little bit better, I started to run towards the location that lightning bolt came from.

When I arrived at the location, I witnessed Chrom and Robin attempting to take down Gangrel with Sumia and Anna unconscious. I hope so anyways.

"Gyahaha, come on little princey, is that all you and your pig of a tactician have?" I heard Gangrel taunt while he was miraculously holding off the both of them. Maybe, I can offer a hand with a quick spell? No, they're too close to Gangrel, I could accidentally hit them instead. Maybe I'll just run in with my sword ready, but Gangrel could still hold us off with ease if he doesn't look like he's breaking a sweat now. I think that's still the better of the two options, so it's worth a shot. I prepare my sword and dash towards Gangrel, aiming to strike from behind the instant his back is turned.

"Come on princey, I've seen swine do better than that!" I heard Gangrel taunt as he pushed Chrom back and used his sword to summon another bolt of lightning. Noticing this as my chance, I pick up my pace and prepare to strike. The instant I swung my sword, he ducked underneath and drove his elbow back as a counter.

"Gurgh…" I groan as I fall to my knees in pain.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't that little outsider 'The Flame' told me about once again." He said before maniacally laughing.

"Fuck you." I say before spitting on his foot. I look up to see his twisted face actually show signs of anger. Looks like I did a good job of pissing him off.

"Looks like I have another head for my mantle." He said before raising his sword. Looks like I should be ready for death, heh, looks like Lewis still failed his mission in the end.

"Not yet!" Gangrel quickly turned his head and jumped to the left right before he could lower his sword. Once he was out of the way, I saw Chrom barely missing Gangrel with a swing with his Falchion. "You okay?" He asked.

"Yeah." I reply, getting back onto my feet. I really need to stop taking the easy way out when death is nearly imminent. I get into a ready stance and face Chrom. "You ready?" He nodded in approval. I faced Robin and he did the same.

"Well, this going to be my greatest feat yet. The little princey, the swine tactician, and the outsider, I'll make sure all of your heads are nice over my mantle. Maybe I'll add in your family as well, gyahaha!" Wait, does that means he knows Alicia is my daughter?

"Not like I have any family for you to do the same to." I say, trying to keep strong so I don't seem suspicious.

"Really? Last I heard you had a nice daughter that might look even better as a plaything for my guards." He started to laugh with an even more twisted look in his eyes than before. Oh that is the last fucking straw.

"You son of a bitch, when I'm done with you, I'll make hell seem like a joyful time." I threaten him, clenching my left hand in pure anger.

"Oh I'm so scared. What are you going to do, stab me with that butter knife of a sword? Hahahahaha!" He laughs even more, causing my rage to just grow. I could start to feel something like sparks on my hand by this point. I quickly focus my gaze onto it and notice dark purple sparks start to form. I couldn't help but smile a little bit.

"No, that's not even the beginning of what I plan to do to you." I say, trying to keep my tone normal.

"Oh, what do you plan to do?" He asked in a completely bored tone.

"This…" I quickly do a mental chant.

'Dark thunder of damnation hear my call…' The sparks start to slowly intensify.

'…destroy all who stand in thy way…' The sparks are going crazy at this point.

'…and cause eternal havoc upon their soul!' I quickly raise my left hand and point it right at Gangrel.

"INFERNAL SPARK!"A burst of pure dark purple electricity burst from my hand right towards Gangrel. He quickly jumped to the side but he ended up dropping his Levin sword, leaving him open to attacks. I dropped to my knees once more, holding my head after the spell, feeling a lot weaker after doing that spell.

"Hey are you…"

"Don't worry about me, get him while he's open!" I shout, trying to focus on getting back onto my feet. For some reason, the pain in my head is even worse than using two of my high level spells back in Ferox during that invasion.

"All right, we'll take over from here." Chrom stated as he and Robin charged after Gangrel. He quickly pulled out a silver sword to defend himself as the assault started. Since he seems to be more on edge after the infernal spark, his defence and speed is a bit lower since he's going to be on the lookout for another attack like that.

"Grrr, how do you two still have so much energy?" He asked as he continued to defend against their strikes.

"It's because we want to end this war today and put your tyrannical rule to an end!" Chrom answered.

"Foolish prince, there will be others who will take my place, and they will keep my burning desire for vengeance alive!" Gangrel shouted.

"No, you are the only one who sees things like that, everyone else was willing to forgive Ylisse after Emmeryn's sacrifice. You're nothing more than a monster in human flesh now." Robin states as he goes in for a quick stab at Gangrel's side.

"Grrrr, that's what you think you swine. The desire for revenge never disappears, it will be reignited!" Gangrel shouts as he tries to slash Robin's leg. He jumps back to dodge the strike with ease.

"Even if the desire doesn't disappear, we'll still try to come to peace with Plegia as soon as their biggest problem is disposed of." Chrom states as he managed to cut off Gangrel's sword arm.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAHH!" He screams in pain, unable to do anything else.

"Now with this, your tyrannical reign ends today!" Chrom shouts as he runs the Falchion through Gangrel's chest, making sure it protrudes through his back.

"Heh *cough* foolish prince… you should understand that *cough* everyone will die one day, and the both of us… will die… *cough* alone. That is the fate *cough* we are forced to… succumb to." Gangrel coughed out before his eyes slowly closed and his body collapsed onto the ground, slowly staining it dark red.

"It's finally over." Chrom mutters as he sheathes the Falchion. "Robin, you know what to do."

"Understood." Robin raised his right hand and blasted a bolt of electricity skywards, likely to signal that Gangrel has fallen.

"All right, let's head back." Chrom ordered. We both nodded and started to walk away. On the way back, a certain hooded figure decided to stand in our way.

"Well, consider me impressed, you managed to not only dispose of the traitors, but you also slayed the mad king." The Flame stated, chuckling a bit.

"Why the hell did you come here now of all times?" I asked, putting my hand on my sword.

"Don't even bother, you're too tired to fight me. Besides, I came here to congratulate you on disposing of that bastard, I'll make sure his soul suffers eternally." He states.

"Just who are you to play with souls like that?" I asked while Chrom and Robin just looked at our back and forth completely confused.

"Well, I guess a proper introduction is finally due, but I'm willing to say Kevin already figured it out due to his family's history." He stated before taking off his hooded cape, finally revealing his face. In front of us was a male approximately 26 years in age wearing lightweight orange armor with red stripes on the wrists, chest, and knees, and the fireball crest is on his left shoulder. His hair is dark crimson with patches of orange and yellow highlights and the very front is standing upright while slicking back a tiny bit. His eyes were bright crimson, and there was a scar on his right cheek. "My real name, is Infernus Omatsu, its meaning comes from a long forgotten language where it stands for 'the eternal flame of fate'." The now named Infernus states.

"If you're really this 'flame' person we heard about, why did you reveal yourself now?" Robin asked, finally getting out of his confused state.

"Personally, I was just bored of hiding in the shadows. I figured that there's no challenge if no one knows who they're facing." He stated with his arms crossed.

"Either way, you saved me the trouble of finding you." I say while unsheathing my sword.

"You're foolish to challenge me at this point. Not only can you not match me in combat prowess, you're also exhausted from this battle, are you not?" He asks, not changing his tone. I quickly rushed at him with my sword, only for him to block it with his own.

"Th-that Katana!" It was that exact same one from my nightmare the day Emmeryn was executed.

"Interesting, isn't it? I made it myself, and gave it the family name, so refer to the blade as the 'Omatsu'." Infernus states before kicking me with enough power to floor me. "Now get him out of here, and make sure your army knows about, soon to be exalt." He requested before leaving at an impossible speed.

"Who the hell was that?" Chrom asked as he slung one of my arms over his shoulder.

"I don't know, but we better look over as many texts about the past as we can." Robin suggested, slinging my other arm over his shoulder. They started to carry me back to the camp, my vision slowly fading as I feel as though I'm about to fall unconscious. I just hope that when the time comes, we can defeat Infernus.

A/N: Finally, we're done. Well, the Plegia war arc is now officially over and 'The Flame's' identity is finally revealed. Sorry about this being a day late, school was kicking my ass again but luckily a break is coming soon, hopefully that means I can get more chapters out, but I make no guarantees. With that I'll see you guys next time, and happy first anniversary to this fic.
