So sorry for the long update, but I have a really long chapter to make up for it. Seriously, it's probably the longest chapter I've done. I'm sorry if the chapter seems a bit choppy, I didn't proof read it all, I was too eager to send the chapter out.

Thank-you for the reviews for last chapter. :)

Enjoy.

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

"You're going to show me through memories?" I questioned as we came into Dumbledore's office.

"I figured if you saw everything with your own eyes, you'd see why I don't even know the entire story." Dad responded as he shut the door behind us.

I turned back to him and saw that he was holding out a glass vile out to me. I took it cautiously and he then moved around me to pull out a glowing basin. The pensieve.

He nodded towards me, "Go ahead, Dumbledore told me we could use it for as long as we want."

I approached and uncorked the vile. While still looking at my father I poured the memory in.

Then I took a deep breath and emerged my face into the basin.

Everything went blurry before the shadows around me slowly formed into shapes. I blinked a few times before I focussed on what was happening around me.

I was standing at the front of the Great Hall, and in front of me was the Sorting Hat, resting on its old stool. I looked down and saw several first year students nervously waiting to be sorted.

But what really caught my attention was that two of them were bickering quite furiously amongst themselves. I stepped down the short stairs to the ground and moved in closer towards the two. As I got closer I easily recognised them as my parents.

"-obedient daughter!" The young Auriga was whispering darkly to Sirius.

"Whatever helps you to cope, princess." The young boy replied dryly, "But the fact is, you have no freedom. Everything is decided for you."

Auriga looked like she was about ready to tackle the poor boy to the ground, but instead she set her jaw and clenched her small fists.

"I do so," She responded furiously, "I'm choosing to obey."

"Guys," A boy who resembled James Potter greatly said, "The sorting is starting…"

They both ignored him.

"Yeah right, Chara," Sirius replied, "You're just too afraid to say no."

"I am not a coward." She said menacingly.

"Yes, you are," He stated, before turning away from her, "Enjoy Slytherin, it suits you."

The small girl opened her mouth to retort something back but Dad had already stepped away from her and headed towards the Sorting Hat. I hadn't even heard his name being called, and it looked like my mum hadn't either.

She watched, visibly shaking with anger as the hat came down on his head. It stayed there for maybe five seconds before it shouted.

"Gryffindor!"

Of course I knew that would have been the answer, but the eleven year old girl beside me had her mouth agape.

"Chara, Auriga?"

Auriga snapped back to attention as McGonagall called her name next.

"Come on dear," She hurried her when Auriga just stared at her, still in shock about Sirius.

She shook herself out of her stupor and her shock was soon replaced with anger and determination. She strode up to the stool royally and sat down.

Her eyes were narrowed as she looked to the shaggy, black haired boy sitting down with the red and gold house.

The hat almost looked confused as he sat on her head, and after a moment he shouted Gryffindor.

Her first expression was victory as her eyes saw the shocked look on my dad's face. But then, as she got off the stool, her eyes glanced at the Slytherin table and all emotion dropped from her face.

I moved to see what she was looking at and realised that her eyes had registered on a redheaded Slytherin. Zosma.

Zosma looked absolutely furious, and her friends around her kept nudging her and whispering questions to her.

I turned back to my mother and she looked like she was going to be sick as the realization of what she had done hit her.

But before anything else could happen, the room changed in a swirl of dark colours, and I was transported into a different memory.

Voices met my ear before the shadows settled around me.

"Come on, Chara." A voice drawled, "You honestly think I want to be friends with you?"

"Then get lost, Black." A feminine voice snapped back and as the place around me came into focus I found that I was standing next to a table where two teenagers were arguing as they leaned back in their chairs. They weren't even looking at each other as they spoke; instead they kept their gaze on the several people dancing on a large dance floor before them. They were at a wedding by the looks of it.

"I can't," Came the dry voice again, "Remus made me promise to be civil to you."

"You can be civil to me from across the hall." She replied tartly.

The boy rolled his eyes and crossed his arms across his chest, "What is your problem, Chara?"

She finally looked towards him, her brown eyes flashing "My problem? My problem is that you won't leave me alone!"

He lazily turned his head to meet her scorching gaze, "You know that's not what I mean."

"Well why don't you enlighten me?" She hissed darkly.

"Very well," He replied casually, though in his eyes I could see that he was getting annoyed, "End of last year, you and Remus were getting pretty chummy, as well as with Evans, and you were even being civil with James and I. Now, over the period of two months, Remus hasn't heard from you once, and you're treating those 'beneath you' as scum once again."

"What a fascinating account." Was her now monotone response, "Now will you leave?"

He didn't respond right away, his grey eyes studied her tense form in almost confusion. But the silence ended quickly as he got up from his chair, a scowl now on his handsome face.

"Did you ever care for them?" He questioned her, and then stalked away without waiting for the answer.

He made it about three tables away before someone stopped him, but I stayed right beside the brunette girl. She was staring at the table cloth with a vacant expression. She let out a breath before she stood up herself. She walked in the opposite direction that Sirius had left in but didn't make it far before a boy resembling my father stopped her.

"We need to talk." Was his words to her.

Her brows furrowed at him, "Why? What's happened?"

The black haired boy looked back and forth at the people around before pulling an envelope out of his dress robes. He handed it to her and she took it cautiously.

She flipped the envelope over to see who the return address was and when she saw it she quickly hid the writing from prying eyes by holding it firmly against her chest.

"Regulus, where did you get this?" She demanded sharply.

"When you lent me your owl, she delivered this to me by accident," Was my young uncle's reply, "Now care to explain why you're getting mail from a mudblood?"

"I don't see how that's any of your concern." Auriga replied darkly.

"Considering that I'm keeping this from your family," he retorted, "A small explanation is deserved here."

She let out an aggravated breath before lowering her voice even further, "I've made mistakes Regulus,"

"Well isn't that the understatement of the century." Came his dark reply.

She silenced him with a glare before continuing, "Father talked to me this summer, I know what I've been doing. I just haven't been able to break ties yet."

"How hard is it to send a letter saying, 'don't speak to me again'?" He demanded.

"You wouldn't understand," She replied, "Now I need to go and find Rosier-"

I didn't hear the rest of her words as the surroundings changed again.

Next I was back inside of Hogwarts, the common room to be exact.

My father, Remus, James, and Pettigrew, were lounging around the room. Dad looked about fifteen or sixteen years old as did the others.

The young Sirius leaning against a wall, his eyes brooding as he look into the fire place. James and Remus were playing a game of chess and Pettigrew was watching them play.

In the other corner of the room was Lily, easily distinguished by her red hair and loathing looks towards James, and she was with few other girls, discussing something or other.

I was slightly confused as to why I was being showed this memory, but as I started to walked towards my father, the portrait door swung open.

Nobody seemed to notice except for my father who seemed to be waiting for it to do so. His eyes turned darker as he saw who it was.

Mum, with another boy I didn't know. She hadn't stepped through the portrait yet, probably because the boy next to her was holding her forearm firmly.

James looked up from his chess game and noticed his best friend's dark gaze and followed it to the source. His look then mirrored his friend's as he stood up.

"You have no business being here Rosier," James stated, setting his gaze on the boy near the portrait, "Get back to your slimy dungeons."

Everyone in the common room heard this and their eyes focussed on Auriga and her companion.

The dark haired boy merely quirked an eyebrow as he smirked, his hold on my mother not letting go.

"I was simply walking Auriga back to her common room." He replied casually, his eyes were on Sirius though, challenging.

I looked back to dad and then noticed that his gaze had travelled from Rosier to Auriga. When he did this his eyes showed a small bit of shock before he schooled his features quickly, resorting to clenching his jaw instead.

I quickly went to inspect what he had seen and I took a step back when I did. I didn't notice how my mother looked, mostly because she had been covered by the shadows. But now Rosier had pulled her into the common room and the light showed her dishevelled state. Her face was blank of any emotion and she kept her eyes trained straight ahead, but her French braid that she kept her hair in had loose strands sticking out as if someone had been prying their fingers into it. Her eyes were hollow and her lips were a bright red, looking almost swollen.

Her Gryffindor tie hung low against her white blouse and she didn't look at all like the put together person that I had begun to accustom her with.

"Aurie," Lily whispered from behind me, and she took a step forward, looking like she wanted to run to the other girl.

"Well," Rosier said, ignoring the redhead and turning his attention to the brunette beside him, "Good-night Auriga."

My mother didn't have time to respond as the boy pulled her closer to him and locked his lips on hers in a matter of seconds.

The entire room went dead silent and stayed that way as Rosier slowly lifted his head away from Auriga. He gave her an odd smile before giving a satisfied 'goodnight' to the common room and left without another word.

"What the bloody hell-" James started to murmur as he looked at his stony best friend and then back to Auriga.

Nobody replied though as my mum walked slowly across the room quietly and then walked up the stone stairs towards the dorms.

"I'll talk her." Lily said, mostly to herself and then hurriedly chased after the brunette.

I couldn't follow them as they were out of earshot from my dad, and after all this was his memory.

I looked towards him and his entire body was tense, his eyes dark and unfeeling.

"Since when are Chara and Rosier together?" James demanded, breaking the silence, his eyes trained on Sirius.

Dad remained silent, not even looking towards James.

Instead, it was Remus who spoke, "I don't think 'together' is the right word, James."

"Well that's bloody obvious." He replied harshly to the sandy hair teenager across from him, before snapping back to Sirius, "And I thought you said she had changed!"

Sirius finally looked at his friends, his features stony, "Obviously not. You know as well as I do that something happened over the summer to make her revert back to her family. It looks like she finally made a decision."

He pushed away from the wall with those words and then started to walk towards the stairway.

"So you're just going to give up on her?" Remus voice cut in darkly, and by the way the three boys looked back to him, it was obviously uncharacteristic for him to speak out in such a manner.

Sirius spun back to face them, "What am I supposed to do? She's hated me for five years, and isn't going to listen to a word I say. And why should I even care?"

"It's obvious you care for her, mate." James replied, "You looked like you were about to hex that smirk right of Rosier's face."

"He's right." Pettigrew replied.

Sirius scoffed, "Evan Rosier is the foulest idiot I've ever known, of course I wanted to hex him, he was coming into our space."

"And it had nothing to do with Chara being mauled right in front of you?" Remus questioned, obviously not believing him.

"I hate Chara, she's just as stuck up as all the other purebloods out there, if not worse because she plays with her friend's emotions, pretending to care for them and then disregarding them without a moment's notice! Look at Evans! I found her crying because of something Chara had done!"

"Are you sure you're talking about Lily, or yourself?" Remus asked, his voice a bit softer this time.

"Chara has never found her way into my affections," Was Dad's angry reply, "And I don't have to stand here and take this, especially from my own friends."

This time when he left, nobody called after him.

I felt so lost and confused, and I couldn't make anything out of my emotions and the room swirled again and brought me somewhere else.

The library at Hogwarts. Sitting at a table in front of me were my parents, arguing yet again. From what I could tell, they were so frustrated with each other that they didn't even care that the several groups of students around them were listening in on their conversation.

"Give it up, Auriga!" Sirius demanded, grey eyes flashing, "You don't care about Evan Rosier or your family's beliefs! Why can't you just admit it?"

Auriga slammed the heavy textbook shut that was in front of her before spinning in her seat to face Sirius. She stood up as she did so and looked down at him, her entire being showing her anger.

"You don't know a think about me!" She shouted, the students around them began whispering to each other while looking at them, "Because believe it or not, we're not in the same situation! You can go on all you want about how we're both Gryffindors stuck in the same blood thirsty, pure, arrogant households, Sirius. But the fact is; that's only true for you!"

She snatched the textbook off the table in front of him, eyes still trained on each other. Her voice turned deadly low.

"What you don't understand about me," She stated with unwavering brown eyes, "Is that in my world, I'm a pureblood heir, stuck in the same brave, pathetic, and noble Gryffindor house with you."

She left without another word and Sirius didn't chase after her. He remained silent while the people continued to gossip around him. A muscle in his jaw twitched and he slammed his fist down onto the tabletop angrily before abruptly standing up and leaving the library as well.

When the place began to transform I easily knew what memory I was about to see. I saw the Christmas decorations around the common room and saw teenaged students dancing and yelling along to very loud music.

This was the night I was conceived.

I quickly moved around the room, looking for a sign of Dad or Mum. I quickly found Dad leaning against a wall with the other Marauder's each one had a drink in hand, even Remus, though I could see he had hardly taken a drink from it. Merriment danced in their eyes as they threw jokes back and forth, discussing random topics. It was clear to see that Dad and James were already a bit tipsy, but not much.

As they joked around I scanned the crowd for any sign of Mum, wondering when she'd appear. But it wasn't her who appeared at all, instead it was Lily. She stumbled through the crowd and came up to the marauders, completely out of breath as if from running.

She gasped in air as she tried to speak, and the joking immediately stopped as they took in her state.

"Bloody hell, Evans," Sirius exclaimed, "What happened to you?"

She ignored his question as she found her voice, "Aurie. She's on the sixth floor." Her sentences came out short, as she inhaled between each one, "Something's wrong with her. She's not-"

She didn't get the chance to finish her sentence as Sirius took off through the crowd, heading towards the portrait.

Lily opened her mouth to speak again but James gripped her forearm and began dragging her after Sirius, "Show us. Remus, Peter, stay here and make sure that nobody follows us."

They stumbled out into the empty corridor and hurried after Sirius who was already several feet in front of them.

"Why didn't you get a teacher?" James demanded as they caught up to the black haired boy, "Is she hurt?"

"I didn't want to get her into trouble," Lily explained, her green eyes turning glassy with fear, "She's already out past curfew and it seemed like she may have been drinking. I didn't want to leave her but I had to find help and-"

"Lily-" Sirius cut in sharply, "Is she hurt?"

Lily shook her head quickly, "No, at least I don't think so. Oh I don't know!"

They quickly made it down the stairs to the sixth floor and Lily quickly showed them down a corridor. I hurried after the three as they ran to a figure who was sitting on the floor, leaning against a wall.

Indeed it was my mother; her brown curly locks were in a messy array around her face and instead of the usual Hogwarts uniform, she was actually wearing a muggle pair of jeans and a red shirt.

"Wear the bloody hell did she get these clothes?" James murmured as they crouched around the girl who seemed to be unconscious.

"It's a long story," Lily replied quickly.

Auriga's eyes opened groggily. She moaned and her hand came up to her temple slowly.

"Aurie?" Lily asked fretfully while the two boys looked questionably at each other, silently asking the other what they should do.

Another moan came from her lips. Auriga focussed her eyes on Sirius then and gave a questionable look. Silence followed as the two stared at each other, until Auriga broke it with a small hiccup.

She smiled and snorted at the sound she had just made.

"Oh bloody- She's drunk Evans!" James declared exasperatedly, letting out an annoyed breath for being worried for nothing, "Just plain drunk!"

Lily bit her lip as she looked at her giggling friend, "I knew that, but she wasn't talking, and she was crying when I left her-"

"Will you stop rambling!" Sirius demanded, annoyed.

James gave him a sharp look, before turning back to the redhead, "She's fine, Lily."

"But she had bruises on her neck," Lily exclaimed, "I thought maybe she had been beaten up!"

The boys quickly turned their attention back to the drunk girl at this. I moved closer to them and indeed saw small bruises on my mum's neck.

Sirius' hand shot out and carefully traced them with his fingertips. She gave an annoyed noise at this, "Don't touch me you wanker," She mumbled before giggling again.

"We need to get her back to the common room." Dad stated as he retracted his hand, his look dark, "James, help me get her up."

James came forward and together they lifted Auriga into a standing position, she swayed and her eyes rolled back into her head. The boys tightened their grip to support her dead weight.

Sirius bent and swept up her legs with one arm and brought her into his arms, "Alright I got her, Go look ahead and make sure nobody is coming, I'd hate to explain this to a teacher."

James went ahead while Lily reached up and gently brushed Auriga's hair off of her unmoving face.

They arrived back in the common room a few minutes later. Nobody seemed to really take notice of Dad carrying someone as it was so packed in the room with people partying.

Remus and Peter found them though and Remus gave a worried look at Auriga while Peter looked around paranoid.

"Is she alright?" Remus shouted over the noise so James and Dad could hear him.

Sirius nodded while looking around the room, "We need to put her somewhere, where'd Evans go?"

I hadn't even notice Lily leave but she reappeared just as suddenly.

"We can't take her up to our dorm." She told the boys hurriedly, "Katherine's up there and will defiantly snitch on us."

Sirius groaned as he adjusted the body in his arms, "Then what are we supposed to with her Evans!"

"We can take her up to our dorm," Remus replied firmly, getting incredulous looks from James and Peter.

"A girl in our room?" Peter squeaked, looking at mum as if she might explode at any second.

"Nobody except for us four sleep there, we'll just keep her there until she's sobered up." Sirius replied, moving for the stairway before anybody could argue.

Remus followed after him and when they got to the large room Sirius carried Auriga to the only bed made. His by the looks of it too. I figured the only reason his was made was because he had grown up accustomed to having a clean bed. Even the area around his bed was cleaned.

He deposited the sleeping girl onto the bed and looked back to Remus, "Should we just leave her here?"

Remus came closer to the two and inspected Auriga, "What happened to her?"

"She's drunk out of her mind." Sirius replied, though I could see that his eyes were looking towards the bruises on her neck.

Remus must have seen his staring as well, "Rosier's handiwork, I presume?" He asked, his voice monotone.

"It's not a far guess." Was Dad's reply.

Auriga stirred gently on the bed and her body curled into a ball.

"Maybe we could get Lily up here to just be with her." Dad said as he backed away from the bed.

"Lily is downstairs right now; she became hysterical as you started up the stairs." Remus replied, "James was comforting her when I left them."

"Great." Sirius replied dryly, "I'll stay then, wait until she wakes up at least."

"I don't mind either," Remus said, "It's not like I'm much of a partier anyway."

"I thought you promised Rebekah a dance though?" Dad quirked an eyebrow, a teasing type smile on his face.

Remus blushed slightly, "Well, perhaps I'll come back up in a little bit then."

I watched him leave and as he did I felt myself being pulled away from the room. My vision blurred and my face rose out of the pensieve.

I blinked a few times to clear my head. I felt eyes on me though and I turned to see Dad leaning against h wall behind me.

My brows furrowed at him, not even knowing what to say.

"Your mother seemed to be sleeping quite hard and eventually Remus and I agreed to just leave her up there." Dad told me, "We became so drunk that night that James, Remus, and Peter ended up passed out on the couches common room. I had always been quite good at keeping somewhat of a sane mind when drinking, so I stumbled back up to the room. I found Auriga in a somewhat awake state and she was crying. I just sort of stood there, as she started to tell me about everything that had been happening to her, what Evan Rosier did, what her family had been telling her.

"I don't remember anything after that. I woke up in the morning and left her asleep in my bed, I felt so guilty about what had happened that I couldn't face her. By the time I went to check on her and make sure nobody else found her, she was already gone.

"It was different from before though. She didn't speak to her sister, Rosier, Lily, nobody. I didn't really take in the fact that she began to wear baggier type of clothes. And then when summer came. I heard that she ran away from home. The Chara family blamed it all on me and things became unbearable at home for me as well. That's when I went to James' to live."

"Did you love her then?" I questioned, "I mean, was there any emotion there?"

He gave an odd smile, "I had always cared for her. Even when I swore I hated her and wished she would just leave me alone. That night though, we had both crossed a line we weren't prepared to cross. And just not because of you, but emotionally we weren't ready for that sort of step. We avoided each other, not knowing how to feel about it.

"And she just seemed to shut down after that. She was terrified because she was pregnant and she seemed to realize that she couldn't fix her mistake this time, she became despondent. She blocked out everything and everyone. But even then, yes I cared for her. Love, I don't know, I only ever admitted to love years later."

I stared hard at the man before me, "But I remember you telling me that you and Mum started dating in Hogwarts."

He winced, "I was still trying to get to know you then," He explained, "I did want you to know that you weren't conceived in love, that your mother hated herself for becoming pregnant."

I bit the inside of my cheek and looked down to the floor.

"Not once did we regret having you though." He said quietly, and I looked back to him, my eyes feeling slightly watery.

He walked over to me, decreasing the space between us, I went forward and wrapped my arms around him, his own coming around me in a tight embrace.

"There's another memory," He told me, "It's about your mother and Zosma, it's all I really know about what happened between them during the war."

He let me go and gave a gentle push in the direction of the Pensieve. After the previous memories I wasn't sure I wanted to see more. But I had come this far.

I dipped my face back in and watched as my surroundings changed.

I was in a house.

I recognized it too. This was my old house. I turned around and saw that I was by the main entrance. Opposite to the doorway was the wooden staircase that led to second floor.

Sitting on the bottom third step was Dad.

He was older than the last memories, looking close to twenty. His arms rested on his knees tiredly as he stared across at the door.

The click of the door opening brought us both to attention. The door quietly and slowly opened, revealing a young woman stepping into the house cautiously. Her eyes were down as she slowly closed the door behind her and removed her jacket slowly. She hadn't noticed dad yet, probably because there was only a small hallway light on. She kicked her shoes off and ran a hand through her brown curls.

"Where were you?"

The sudden voice made her jump and spin around to face the staircase.

"Sirius." She stated, looking like she had just been caught red handed.

"Where were you?" The black haired man repeated, his voice sounding tired.

She didn't respond right away. She moved out of the entrance area and into the hallway by the staircase. Her hand coming back up to her curls again.

"I was out." She responded shortly, barely glancing at the young man before her.

"Out?" He questioned, his grey eyes searching her, "There's a war out there, Auriga, and you're going out there alone, without any notice?"

"I'm not having this conversation with you again, Sirius." She declared firmly, and she started to climb up the stairs away from him.

He captured her wrist to stop her before she could pass him.

Her brown eyes looked down to him as he looked up at her.

"You went to see her, didn't you?" He questioned.

The brunette set her jaw as she looked away from him, "She's my sister; of course I did."

Sirius let out a disbelieving breath, his expression turning hard, "We have a four year-old sleeping upstairs, Auriga, and you're out there risking your life!"

"Don't pretend you know what's going on." She told him darkly, shaking his hand off her violently.

"She's going to get you killed," Dad replied angrily, rising to his feet.

"She's my sister and I'm not giving up on her." Auriga declared, and resumed up the stairs.

"Will you just talk to me?" Dad called after her, his eyes flashing, "I'm your husband!"

She turned around with lightning speed and glowered down at him from a few steps up, "The only reason you married me was for that little girl upstairs!"

"Do you honestly believe that?!" Dad demanded sharply, going up one step.

"I'm not accusing you of anything Sirius," She replied, "You were just trying to do the right thing, but don't pretend that I mean anything to you because of it."

He let out a scoff, "Where the hell are you getting all this from? I suppose last night meant nothing as well, right?"

She closed her eyes as if to block him out, "Last night was a mistake."

Sirius moved towards her until he was one step above her, their bodies close together as he looked down into her stubborn eyes.

"It wasn't a mistake for me." He told her.

Auriga froze as they stared at each other in challenging silence.

"Mummy's home!"

The two instantly broke their gazes and turned to face a child standing at the top of the stairs.

"We'll talk later," Auriga muttered under her breath as she moved towards the child.

I turned to see that Dad remained where he was, his face full of regret as he watched his wife pick up the little girl.

"What are you doing up?" Auriga's soft voice was heard as she carried the young me out of view.

The memory ended and I returned to Dumbledore's office.

"I didn't know you guys had a rocky start." I commented to the man beside me.

"It only lasted a short while," He assured me, "Eventually we trusted each other."

"And what about Zosma?" I questioned, "Did Mum still believe in the good in her after she tried to kill me?"

"No." He stated simply, "A little bit of your mother died the night Zosma was taken to Azkaban."

I shook my head and wrapped my arms around my frame uncomfortably, "I feel horrible."

He furrowed his brows, "Why?"

"I feel like I'm living in Mum's nightmare. I feel her torment."

"Her life didn't just consist of what I just showed you, Rigel." He said softly, "These are just the parts that contributed to the mystery of what happened to her."

"Does nobody know the truth of what happened to her? Completely?" I asked quietly.

"I don't know." He told me truthfully.

I looked to the side and tried to clear my troubled mind, "Well, I suppose we should get back to Grimmauld."

His hand wrapped around my wrist to stop me, "Wait."

I turned back to face him.

"I don't want you thinking that her life was all horrible, that we never had any joyous moments." He told me quietly, and I watched as he slowly pulled out a vile from his pocket.

My brows furrowed as he held it out to me.

"This is the last one." He informed as my hand enclosed around it.

It was the last words he said before he gave me a small smile and left the office. As the door shut behind him I turned to the glass vile in my hand that contained a memory.

I slowly uncorked it and let the memory flow into the basin.

This time when I saw the colors of light swirl around me, laughter met my ears first.

"I'm sorry Lily," Someone apologised while still laughing as the scene before me cleared.

"It's not funny Aurie!" A red head cried out.

I was in a small bedroom, and before me was Lily, dressed in a lovely white wedding dress, beside her was my laughing mother, dressed in beautiful green dress robes.

"You're right, I'm sorry," My mother responded through deep breaths, obviously trying to contain her amusement.

"I'm serious!" Lily told her fretfully, "I don't know why she even invited him in the first place!"

Auriga sat down beside Lily on the bed, a smile on her lovely face, "I'm sure he won't 'blow up his red face if he sees any magic' Lily, a muggle can't be that bad."

The red head turned her head at her friend and frowned, "He's as bad as Petunia, Aurie. He'll freak."

Auriga snorted, "Well then, I suppose he and Petunia really are perfect for each other."

Lily punched the girl beside her in the shoulder lightly, "Will you stop making jokes? What if James sees what he's marrying into and suddenly decides not to marry me?"

Another dry laugh, "Lily, James has been chasing after you for years, even when you threatened to disembowel him and feed his pieces to the giant squid. He'll marry you no matter what."

Lily let out a weak chuckle at that, "Alright."

"Good, not let's stop talking about boring Dursley and focus on getting this veil on." Auriga told her, picking up a bundle of white fabric.

"Great idea," A male voice sounded from the doorway.

The girls and myself turned sharply to the door to see my father standing there with a grin on his face.

Suddenly a pillow was thrown right through me and hit my father square in the face.

"Sirius, get out of here!" My mother scolded playfully.

"Hey!" He scoffed defensively, "I have a child here."

He bent down beside him and scooped up a brown haired girl in a small green dress.

"Sure, use the child for protection you wimp." Lily replied dryly as Sirius and my younger self entered the room fully.

"You women are so mean," He commented with fake scorn, "I just came to see how everything is going."

Auriga took the child from Sirius and held settled her firmly on her hip, "We're doing fine, how's James?"

Sirius rolled his eyes, "Having a panic attack that he might 'wake up from this fantasy' at any moment."

Auriga turned to her daughter, "Rigel, boys are idiots, remember that okay?"

The small girl just giggled at the attention her mother was showing her.

A knock sounded on the door and Remus appeared in the room, "You guys better hurry, everybody is waiting for the wedding to start."

Lily suddenly turned my mother, her eyes wide, "I can't do this."

Auriga rolled her eyes, "Yes you can."

She put an arm around the bride's shoulder as the men filed out of the room, "Because if you don't, the young man down stairs will have a heart attack and die. Then you will blame yourself for the rest of your life for his untimely death."

"That's not funny!" Lily cried out as they left the room.

In followed them down the stairs and came to the front door of the house they were in. Dad and Remus joined Pettigrew downstairs and then waited beside the women by the door.

"Breath Lily, I'm not dragging you down that aisle if you pass out." Auriga commented dryly.

"I would," A blonde haired woman commented jokingly.

She was dressed in a similar green dress to Mum so I assumed she was a bridesmaid too.

"At least Marlene cares for me." Lily muttered.

"Not sure if that's what you call caring…" Auriga murmured.

"Where's Petunia?" Lily suddenly asked, looking paranoid again.

"Last time I saw the Ice Queen she was up in her room snogging the Thing." Marlene commented dryly.

"Actually I'm right here." A low voice replied and the three young women cringed with awkwardness as Petunia came towards them.

An argument couldn't start though because suddenly the wedding march song sounded.

"Alright, where's Rigel's flower basket?" My mother questioned as she set me down on the ground.

"Right here." Marlene responded, and handed a small white basket to the small child.

"Okay, now just do what Daddy showed you earlier." Auriga told her and gave her a soft push out the door.

Then Auriga grabbed Sirius' offered arm and soon everyone filed outside, Lily behind them.

Right outside the door was a white carpet with folded chairs on both sides full of people. The carpet led to a white wooden archway that had vines and Lily flowers entangled between the wooden pieces. Under it stood James, Sirius standing beside him, and the rest of the wedding party.

I walked up to where my mother stood and watched as Lily took James' hand and the wedding began.

When both vows had been said and the couple moved forwards to sign their names to legalise the marriage, Sirius wrapped his arm around Auriga and pulled her against his side.

"Your daughter has fallen asleep on Remus." He whispered in her ear.

She turned her head to the side and chuckled when she saw the girl asleep in Remus' arms. Then she quirked a brow at Dad.

"My daughter?" She questioned playfully.

"Our daughter," He told her, giving her a soft kiss on the cheek.

Soon Lily and James were coming back down the Aisle and the wedding was over. I followed after my parents back into the house that must have belonged to the Evans. I found them in the kitchen alone.

"Do you ever regret how our wedding went?" Sirius was asking her as they both leaned against a counter side by side.

She shrugged, "I wish we had known each other better."

"Maybe we should have waited." He commented.

She turned her head to look at him fully, "I don't regret marrying you, Sirius."

He smiled down at her, "Nor do I, Mrs. Black."

Her hand sneaked up around his neck as she smiled back and his head dipped to capture her lips.

They pulled apart after a minute and Sirius' look turned confused, "Where's Black Junior?"

Auriga raised her eyebrows at him, "You lost your daughter?"

"My daughter?"

She smiled, "Our daughter."

And then the last memory ended.
