After a few days at Ember Island, the new family adjusted to life there.
Izumi and her family arrived in the afternoon.
"It's good to see you," said Katara.
"It's good to see you, too," said Izumi as Katara hugged her.
"Where's Iroh?" Katara asked.
"With his father. Where are the twins?" Izumi asked.
"This way," Katara headed from the docks back to the beach house. She was followed by Izumi, Izumi's husband who held Iroh.
They went into nursery where Zuko and the babies were.
Zuko was holding Korra.
"Izumi, I'd like you to meet Korra," Zuko said as he placed Korra in Izumi's arms.
"Wow, she looks just like you," said Izumi to Katara.
Katara smiled, as she picked up Kazuo.
"This is Kazuo," said Katara.
Izumi looked at Kazuo and said, "He looks peaceful. His name suits him well."
Zuko and Katara smiled at Kazuo.
"He is."
After a few minutes, Korra started to fuss, and Izumi gave her back to their father.
"Is it too soon to tell if they're benders?" Izumi asked.
"Kazuo has the spark in his eyes, but I think it will be a while before he starts bending," said Zuko.
"I think Korra might be a waterbender, but I'm not sure," said Katara.
"I see," said Izumi.
Izumi's husband put Iroh down. Iroh crawled around a little then went straight to Zuko.
Zuko lifted Iroh onto his lap with one arm while he held Korra with his other arm.
"Pap Pap," said Iroh.
"You're getting big," said Zuko. "Iroh this is Korra."
Zuko moved Korra so Iroh could see. Iroh smiled and Korra cooed.
"They seem to be getting along well," said Katara.
"That's nice," said Izumi.
"Are you going to tell them?" Izumi's husband asked.
"Tell us?" Zuko and Katara said in unison.
"I'm pregnant," said Izumi.
"Congratulations," said Katara.
After a few moments Zuko said, "Congratulations."
A week later, Izumi and her family returned to the Capital.
Zuko and Katara decided to stay at Ember Island for a couple more weeks. They enjoyed spending time at the beach.
They even went out a couple of times, and they brought Kazuo and Korra with them.
Then one evening after dinner Katara put the babies down for bed after she and Zuko finished bathing them.
"We should head back soon," said Katara.
"Yeah," said Zuko.
"But we can always come back," said Katara.
"It might be more challenging when they start walking," said Zuko.
"That's true, but I think we can handle it," said Katara.
They packed up, and headed back to the South Pole.
"Is it weird to feel this anxious about being a grandfather again?" Zuko asked.
"I don't know," said Katara. "I'm sure you'll be just as good to this one as you are to Iroh."
Zuko smiled.
Their trip back to the South Pole was as uneventful as their trip to Ember Island.
