Ch 37
Randy
I watched my girlfriend knock a man out! A five six, one hundred and forty five pound woman knocked a kid, about my height but he had a leaner frame, on his ass.
Take that how you will but Honor is more than a handful; she is exhausting. I don't think anyone had a problem with the detainee after that. But I did hear some unnecessary comments made by a couple and an older generation. If I heard them, I know Honor did too. By the time we get to Alstate Arena late this afternoon, road agents are summoning us to meet with Vince, Paul, and Stephanie. I'm guessing they're going to lay into her big time….
First we had to stop by the medics so they could tape her hand. I think she might have broken a couple of her fingers. But knowing her she'll downplay the injury as long as she can. The trainers didn't ask anymore questions and Honor kept up her poker face until we left to go talk to Vince. As a result, I'm the one that knocks on the door, "Come in."
"Hunter. Vince. Stephanie. How are you guys?" I address them first knowing that Vince is highly upset with Honor.
"We're good. Thanks for asking Randy. How are you in spite of this morning's altercation?" Vince's voice is calm as he pulls up a page on his laptop with both mine and Honor's pictures. Straight to the point... The headline says, 'WWE Diva Launches Attack on Flight' Stephanie stands and places her hand on her father's shoulder. "Since we have a show underway I just want to make this clear to you sweetheart; I take a certain pride in my Superstars' and Divas' conduct in public. I'd like you to think about your reaction next time you are thrown into a precarious position in the future."
"In addition to what my father said, you should know better, Honor. You're lucky that a couple of passengers and airline took the chance to speak on your behalf. They didn't have to do so. This altercation is almost cleared up. We are all aware of the most important parts, so after the show, come back and speak with my dad, to talk about further consequences." Stephanie is speaking with authority. Where are the fines and suspensions?! Had that been me, they would've fined me without a second thought. "I am going to say, no matter what happens in the future I expect all of my employees to carry themselves as professionals. Keep that in mind Honor. That being said, due to the surrounding circumstances there will be no charges pressed. Will you be pressing any charges against the offending party?"
For the first time since we stepped in the office Honor answers, "No. Though I should, he's going to have enough on his plate once Delta presses their charges. Will I be fined? Suspended? Anything?"
Paul steps in nodding, "For now don't worry about that. We'll take decide the course of punishment after the show. One thing should be clear though, don't let this happen again. Randy, be glad it was her doing the punching instead of you."
Vince adjusts his jacket, "I want to speak with you later. Don't leave before we have the chance." Vince likes to get to the problem and solve it. He stares down at Honor then gives her a look of disdain. Paul dismisses her and Stephanie gives her a look of concern and some stern sympathy.
"Are you okay? Why do you look like that?" Honor taps my shoulder with her good hand and I nod. "Really, are you okay?" I turn my attention to the door peeking in to see who all is in the locker room already, immediately I spot Punk and that adds to the irritation already building in my chest.
"Honor, I'm fine. Let it go. Go get dressed. I'll see you after the show." Instead of doing what I tell her she grabs my wrist and pulls me back.
"When I try to brush you off it doesn't work so don't think for a second that I'm going to accept that from you. Talk to me. I know you and I know it only takes a little bit of prodding to set you off and any one of those guys back there will do it for their amusement… What is your problem?"
"It's silly." I lean down and hug her. Burdening her with my irritations isn't the best idea especially when she's already nervous about getting back in the ring. "Trust me it's stupid. Go, have fun."
"Okay, Randy." As she starts for her locker room, I pull her back to me for a kiss.
I laugh when we stop because her lips are slightly swelling and she wants more, "I probably shouldn't do that…"
"No, you should do that more…" She drops her bag by the door and puts her arms around my neck pulling my mouth to hers again. Her kisses are some of the sweetest, they're full of innocence and playfulness. Always mid kiss I can feel the corners of her mouth pull into a small little smirk and she'll lightly run her tongue over my bottom lip. There's nothing I love more than that.
"See? I'm calm. You win," my hands settle in the middle of her back as I play with the ends of her hair.
She smiles at me fairly naughtily, "What's my prize?"
"You'll see later." I press a kiss behind her jaw and she quivers a little, "Go get ready. I'll see you later, Shadow."
Once more her lips find their way to mine and then she happily skips onto the women's locker room with the bag in tow.
I shake my head.
