Moment (to Memories)
Candace banged her door closed, the big blue eyes full with tears and her lips sealed tight in effort to hold back her sniffles and sobs as she flings herself on her bed, burying her head in her Ducky Momo blanket. She yelled out her frustration into the covers, wishing that her world would finally stop what it was doing; stop being confusing and frightening, because things were changing and she was scared and angry, because those changes just become worse and worse.
She didn't mean to snap before. But she was so angry and Phineas and her new- little brother- Ferb were annoying her so much! Taking her stuff, playing with them without permission, and-
She sobbed out, heart clenching painfully at memory and she cries until she is out of tears and her throat is sore from all the yelling.
Too exhausted, she didn't hear how her door cricked open and didn't notice a little green-haired head near her bed. So when she lifted her head up and saw a pair of blue eyes looking at her, she yelped and backed away, before glaring. "You!"
Big blue eyes stared back, almost guiltily, but Candace didn't have any energy to be angry so she just huffed. "What d'ya want?"
Ferb lifted a hand to her, palm up and Candace's eyes widened when she saw what it was.
"You… fixed it?.." she asked in disbelief.
"'M sowwy I broke y'r toy."
Candace stared, more shocked by the fact that he talked rather than by the apologize.
The plastic toy that was crushed by Ferb during the boys' playtime, looked as good as new, and the only evidence of the damage was the line along its length. She could see little goops of something that looked like glue along the cracks, but otherwise it looked…
"Pleas' don' be mad." The eyes of three-year-old were wide and glistened with the tears of guilt, as Candace continued to mutely stare.
Gingerly, the girl took the little toy, eyes soft and anger forgotten as she smiles at her new little brother.
"I'm not mad. Com' here" They hugged and Candace marveled at the feeling of warmth that nestled in her, almost like when Phineas smiled at her for the very first time.
"But if you will take my stuff without asking again…"
A/N: I'm not enterily happy with this one, but I promised a continuation.
I'm thinking about making a big bunch of Second Dimension drabbles, but the process is going to be sloooooooow...
