Today was Christmas, and today, Zazie was determined to tell Lara he likes her.

He had thought about it the entire winter festival week, and whenever he spent time with her, he grew warm, and his stomach fluttered. Whenever they were close, he was immediantly overprotective of her and would do anything to let her keep her quiet, kind soul intacted. He wouldn't let any boy get closer to her, as long as he was here, along with Niche.

Since today was Christmas, it was also the final day for the winter festival. Tommorow, the Letter Bees were going to have lots of tough deliveries and lots of work to do after their break. Even so, Zazie wanted to speak his feelings to Lara before anything bad happens/

He quickly woke up, brushed and cleaned up, then fetched his clothes to wear them. As he headed towards Sylvette's house, he glanced down at his clothing to make sure he got it right. He wore a dark blue jacket which had two buttons unbuttoned over a black shirt, dark dress pants, black shoes, a blue scarf and dark blue gloves. He was looking casual, good-looking, and very handsome.

He knocked on the door and called out, "Lara? It's me, Zazie."

Meanwhile...

Lara was brushing her short hair as straight as possible, wanting to look good for the last day of the winter festival. Today, she wanted to confess her crush to Zazie as soon as possible. She's had a huge crush on him ever since she joined hhe ranks of a Letter Bee, and that crush grew to love as time passed. If he didn't feel the way, she'd be sad, but she at least could voice her feelings.

Once she was finished fixing her hair, she dressed herself in the prettiest clothing she could find. She wore a white and lavender somewhat puffy dress that went down to her knees, white stockings, black dress shoes, and a red bow was near her ear, making her looking warm and adorable.

After arriving downstairs, she noticed Sylvette eating her 'special' soup and Niche was eating bread when they saw her. Sylvette squealed and rushed towards Lara. "Kya!~ You look so much cuter than before!"

Lara glanced down and blushed. "T-thanks. Um...do you have any advice how to tell a person you...like them?"

Sylvette nearly died of cuteness when she cleared her throat and tried to calm down. "Well! I'm a true master of that! See, when you like someone really badly, you should wait until the last minute to confess to them! Like, tonight! When the Christmas fireworks come out, you should confess under such a romantic setting!"

"But, just a possibility, what if Zazie doesn't like me back?"

"Don't worry! I'm 100% sure he does! And if he doesn't...well, let's say I'll make him regret it with Niche Mode!"

At that cue, Niche's blond hair sprang out the golden swords, indicating danger from them. "Yes! If Zazie makes Big Sis Lara sad, Niche will slice him!"

"Niche!"

Then, the three girls heard the door knocking, and heard Zazie's voice from behind the door. "Lara? It's me, Zazie."

Sylvette squealed and started pushing Lara towards the door. "Go ahead, have fun, and have a good makeout!" She opened the door and pushed Lara out quicker than anyone could say, "Gauche."

Lara was out so fast, she tripped and started to fall when she felt arms envelop her and her face on someone's warm, comfortable chest. She looked up and saw Zazie looking down at her with a blush on his face.

Lara was also blushing as well and stood up on her own feet. "S-sorry! Thanks for coming to pick me up!"

Zazie turned around so he wouldn't be seen blushing. "Sure, uh...you look...cool."

"Thank you..." Lara looked at Zazie's attire and couldn't help but turn more red. He looked attractive and what Sylvette would descrive as 'sexy.' But what she loved most about him was his kindness towards others even if he doesn't show it a lot.

"So...you wanna try out the games in the Winter Festival? I mean, tommorow we have to go back to work, and tonight is the fireworks so..."

Lara gently grabbed his hand, causing Zazie to look at her adorable, timid-looking figure and blush more. "I'd like that. Okay."

Unknown to them, a certain silver-haired maiden was eavesdropping on the whole thing, snickering evilly to herself.

Later...

"Okay, why did you call us here?" complained Connor with his girlfriend Sunny as they were hiding in the bushes with Niche and Sylvette, spying on Zazie and Lara as they played festival games.

"Because we want to see how this goes! Right Sunny?" asked Sylvette, earning a nod from the quiet girl.

"Then why am I here?"

"Oh, you're the bait in case something goes wrong."

"BAIT?!"

"SHHH!"

The four spies hid inside the bushes as Lara and Zazie turned around, confused. "Um...did you hear something, Zazie?"

Zazie shrugged. "Probably nothing."

As soon as they thought the coast was cleared, the four spies popped out of the bushes only to see Lara and Zazie laughing as they got their prizes from winning a game. Sylvette slapped Connor on the arm, who yelped. "What was that for?"

"For nearly exposing us, moron! Now we have to be extra careful from now on thanks to you!"

While Connor and Sylvette were constantly arguing as quietly as possible, another group were spying on Zazie and Lara while playing games. This group happened to be Dr. Thunderland, Aria, and Largo as they were playing a dart game while glancing back at the young soon-to-be couple.

"Why are we doing this again?" whispered Aria, throwing a dart at a target, only missing a little.

"You were interested, and I said, 'Hey! Why don't we all participate!'" said Largo cheerfully, hitting the target perfectly.

"I can't believe he somehow convinced me to go with them," sighed Dr. Thunderland, depressed. One of the darts laying on the edge of the table fell and accidentally hit Dr. Thunderland's foot. "OW! MY FOOT!"

That night...

All day long, Zazie and Lara had been around town, playing the festival games, winning prizes, eating sweets and chatting one another. Moreover, they were having the best time of their lives. Sylvette, Niche, Sunny, Largo, and even Aria were happy to see them together, while Dr. Thunderland and Connor kept complaining about wanting to do something else.

Soon, Zazie and Lara reached the park, where they were sitting in the swing sets and chatting to each other. Finally, as it grew dark, Zazie knew it was now or never.

"Lara?" Zazie stood up and heard the fresh snow crunching under his feet. He felt something wet on his nose and looked up to see snow falling from the pale gray clouds.

"Yes-ACHOO!" Lara sneezed and sniffed. "Sorry."

"Here." Zazie unwrapped the scarf around his neck and started wrapping it around Lara's neck so she could get warm. "It's not much, but it should keep your neck warm."

"Thank you. What was it you wanted to say?"

Sylvette, who was watching the scene, secretly squealed. "Come on confession! Come on, confession!"

"I kinda have something to tell you. You see...well..." Zazie turned more red and was warm in the face. "I...kinda...no, ugh! I'm just gonna say it outloud! I like you a lot! Possible even love you!"

"YES!" Sylvette whispered screamed as Sunny, Largo, and Aria cheered.

Lara's heart beated faster than even the speed of light. Did he just say what she thought he just said? This had to be some heavenly dream made from God! No, if it wasn't. the pinching she was giving herself wouldn't hurt. "R-really?"

Zazie sighed and rubbed the back of his head, blushing. "Yeah...but I don't want to hurt you and all, and I really don't like saying mushy things. Also, back when we all thought you were a boy, when you, me, and Connor went on a mission together and you were injured and knocked out by a Gaichuu, I...I had to use CPR to deliver medicine to your mouth. In other words, I stoled your kiss."

Lara turned more red and felt happy and surprised. Both emotions because her crush actually kissed her and it was while she was asleep! Wow, if this happened when the others thought she was a boy, she must have made Zazie feel bad about being gay.

"And...I've got one more question. Lara, if you don't mind, would you...become boyfriend and girlfriend with me?" asked Zazie, more red and looking at her, trying to put on a brave face.

Lara looked stunned, and that stun look made Zazie think she was cute. However, he didn't expect her to start hiccupping and crying. Every time Lara cried, whether it was good or bad, it would always twist Zazie's heart and make him feel bad.

"Ack! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to make you upset!" said Zazie. Meanwhile, Sunny, Connor, and Sylvette were doing all they could to stop Niche from murdering Zazie.

"No...it's not that, I'm just...so happy," admitted Lara, sniffing and looking at Zazie with a smile even though more tears fell from her eyes and rolled down her rosy cheeks. "I like-no wait, love you too..."

After hearing that, Zazie just couldn't take it anymore and shoved his lips onto Lara's, surprising her. He was being gentle, yet at the same time rough. Just when he was about to pull back, Lara wrapped her arms around his neck, bringing the kiss deeper as Zazie wrapped his arms around Lara's waist not too tightly. Zazie's tongue slips out of his mouth and licks all over Lara's lips, asking for entrance. Lara happily opened hers and his tongue began exploring around its sweet new territory, claiming it as its own.

As they were kissing, everyone else was turning red from watching the two new couple kiss each other passionately until they heard fireworks explode in the night skies, ending the winter festival for the year.

"Ooh! A kiss and fireworks! Best day ever!" squealed Sylvette.

Once the fireworks were over several minutes later, Zazie and Lara pulled back for air, a trail of saliva marked as proof of their lip making. "Guess that makes us a couple, huh?" panted Zazie, staring into Lara's eyes. "That means I get to do anything I want with you-"

"Not as long as I'm around!" declared Aria, rushing towards the scene.

'Aria?! What's she doing here?" wondered Niche.

"Ugh! She's probably going to mess this up!" groaned Sylvette.

"A-Aria-san?! What are you doing here?!" exclaimed Lara, red. If Aria was here, it was possible she saw the whole thing!

Aria eyed Zazie so hard, Zazie was as still as stone and could crumple away any minute. "I've got my eye on you, Zazie. Touch anything inappropriate to Lara, and you'll have me to deal with. GOT IT?" Zazie quickly nodded. "Good! I'm glad we had this talk!"

"Zazie! Big Sis Lara! Are you two going to make something Sylvette said, 'sweet, sweet love?'" called out Niche. Everone but Lara froze and turned bright red.

"Niche? Sylvette? Connor? And Sunny? What are you guys doing here?" asked Lara, still innocent and having no idea what Niche was talking about.

'N-Niche! Where did you hear that from?" asked Zazie.

"Sylvette told Niche! She says that she hopes Big Sis Lara and Zazie will make sweet love together when they grow up!" At that said, everyone turned to Sylvette, who was as flustered as they were.

"Hey! How was I supposed to know that she knew about sex?"

"And that's our cue to go," said Zazie, dragging Lara with him as they walked out of there.

Niche tilted her head. "What's sex?"

Dr. Thunderland replied, "You see, when a man and a woman love each other-"

"No, Dr. Thunderland!" cried out Largo. "We mustn't let Niche breed!"

"Hey, has anyone seen Zazie and Lara?" called out Connor.

Everyone else finally noticed those two were gone, and Aria yelled, "ZAZIE!"

Meanwhile, as soon as they were far away, Lara and Zazie panted for breath and heard a faint yell about Zazie's name, making the hairs on Zazie's neck rise up. "Oh shit," he muttered. "Next time Aria sees me, she's gonna kill me."

"Zazie? I have a question, and I know it's a bit childish." Lara grabbed his hand and looked at him with the most adorable, lovable eyes he has ever seen. "Where do babies come from?"

If there was one thing Zazie couldn't resist in his new relationship with Lara, it was the puppy dog eyes.
