Haruki burst into the room where Marowleth sat, apparently waiting. "Found you at last." he said panting heavily.
"Oh you actually joined Duel Academy? Tell me is it the Standard Academy or Fusion Academia?" Marowleth asked in a bored tone as he stretched.
"That's neither here nor there." Haruki retorted activating his Duel Disk. "What I know is that you stole from my school, hurt several students and a teacher. All I ask is why?"
"Because I needed data. Same as the day we met." Marowleth said getting to his feet. "You know I am a scientist at heart. You know what we discussed, my goal a year ago. I needed the data to finally do it."
"So in order to get that data you injured other Duelists and stole the Sacred Beasts?! The fuck kinda logic is that?"
"My benefactors heard about my goal and decided to point me in the right direction. They told me that acquiring the Sacred Beasts and using their power would help speed the process up. They were right."
"You're talking out your ass Marowleth."
"No. I'm not. The prototype works, and now with the power of the Sacred Beasts it's complete. I completed the first Vector monster. And now Haruki you have a choice: Stop me? Or let me go?"
"We both know I can't let you go. "
"Fair enough, you'll fall here." Marowleth said activating his Duel Disk.
"Field Magic - Gemini Cross: Activate"
The swirling sphere of Action Cards shattered as they fell onto the battlefield.
"DUEL!"
ARC 36: Unstoppable Menace: Demon God - Tyrant Neptune
"I'm gonna end this, right here, right now." Marowleth said, his voice changing tone, becoming more monotone, and his face also assumed a bemused, yet neutral expression. "Using the Scale two, Dragonhorn Hunter, and the Scale seven Lancephorhynchus to set the Pendulum Scale." Marowleth revealed the two cards before setting them in his Pendulum Zone, causing the word "PENDULUM" spread across his Duel Disk in black letters. "I Pendulum Summon Evocator Chevalier and Future Samurai." In a burst of light, the two monsters appeared on his field, drawing their swords.

"Next…" he said his face still holding that same bemused expression as he reached his hand out and grabbed an Action Card out of nowhere; "I activate the Action Spell - Special Draw. This lets me draw one card for each monster I special summoned this turn. I count six cards." Marowleth grinned as he looked at the cards he drew. "I activate Gemini Alchemy - Eclipse. By using this card I can make the levels of two Gemini Monsters I control equal to their combined total. So I'll make Evocator Chevalier and Future Samurai level eight."

Haruki stood there, silently observing his opponent's plays, noting the differences between the Marowleth he sees before him, and the one he remembered. The completely emotionless voice, the neutral yet mocking facial expression, the lack of energy. "I see…" Haruki said after several minutes; "I guess I need to wake you up then." Haruki drew from his deck. "But don't worry, I'm sure I can. Then I'll find out exactly what got into you."

"To be honest, I was ready to ask what the fuck your deal was." he said looking at his hand, making a strategy to break Marowleth's powerful field. "Then I realized something, you're not yourself, I wouldn't get anywhere if I did. And I am not going to do that whole 'talk no-jutsu' bullshit to try to understand. It's not my style. Instead I'm going to kick your ass into submission, win this Duel and drag you back to my school so we can let that nutcase Mokey fix your shit." Haruki picked one of the cards in his hand and narrowed his eyes. "I'm sorry it had to come to this though. I activate the Fang of Critias!" Haruki declared activating the card he selected. "I'll now fuse my dragon with my Crush Card Virus! Fang of the Dragon of Atlantis, become one with the Virus of Death and unlock a new power that screws the rules themselves. Fusion Summon! Infect him Doom VIrus Dragon!" WIth a great roar full of menace, Doom Virus Dragon burst onto the field in a blast of purple light. "When Doom Virus Dragon is summoned, all monsters in my opponent's hand and field with fifteen hundred or more attack is destroyed outright!" With another roar Doom Virus Dragon bathed Marolweth's field in acid. "Prepare for your doom Marowleth."
"Just as I planned it." Marowleth grinned evilly. "I activate my Set Card: Vector Alchemy - Sacred Power!" At these words one of his set cards flipped up and revealed a trap. "When at least three monsters whose levels and/or ranks hold the same numerical value are destroyed at the same time, I can negate all other cards on the field to Special Summon the Sacred Beasts from my deck, ignoring their summoning conditions with their effects negated!" Marowleth looked at Haruki's stun faced and licked his lips. "Arise from the depths of hell; Uria, Lord of Searing Flames!" With a great roar accompanied by a massive burst of lava a large red dragon with a dark aura appeared on Marowleth's field.

"Descend from heaven with your wrath; Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder!" A massive yellow bolt of lightning struck the field, revealing a large golden dragon with a roar like thunder itself, and like Uria it had a dark aura surrounding it.

"Feed on the Darkness in my heart and eliminate our foe, arise from the abyss; Riviel, Lord of Phantasms!" A pillar of black light erupted from the ground as a large blue demon emerged cloaked in the same aura as the other two.

"Next by removing my trap from play instead of sending it to grave, I can make all three of them have four thousand attack as long as they are face-up on the field." At these words Uria glowed red and roared.

"This...is bad…" Haruki said to himself.
"BUT! I'm not done yet, I activate my second set card!" Marowleth seemed to be full of a frenzied energy as his next card revealed itself. "Vector Alchemy - Call of the Wicked God! When I control at least three level ten monsters summoned on the same turn, I can Special Summon the Wicked Avatar from my deck ignoring its summoning conditions! Dark Sphere of hatred, emerge now! Fill the land with the blood of my foes and make me the king of all! But I first I shall call out your name: The Wicked Avatar, god of gods!" A massive black lightning bolt struck the ground behind Marowleth as a massive pure black form resembling Hamon roared a blood-chilling challenge.

The ATK and DEF of this card are each 1 point higher than the highest ATK on the field (except "The Wicked Avatar").
"Time for my final card." Marowleth said his voice going soft and quiet enjoying Haruki's apparent concern over the field he was facing. "Vector Alchemy - Ether." The last card revealed itself. "If I control four monsters with the same level summoned on the same turn, I can reveal a Vector Monster with a Class equal to the level of those monsters, then I can Vector Summon it."
"He..actually found a way to do it…"
Marowleth grinned and revealed a blood-red card in his hand with ten white circles on it. "Using the Level ten Wicked Avatar, Hamon, Uria and Raviel, I will construct a vector of ultimate power!" At these words the four monsters turned into beams of red light and and began to orbit Marowleth, each completed orbit making a bit of the new monster appear. "Greatest of all gods, descend now. With your command over Space you are the supreme being, let those who disbelieve shake in fear at your might and learn the true meaning of pain." As he finished his chant, the four lights combined and struck the battle field as a single pillar from which a demonic roar of rage was heard. "VECTOR SUMMON! Obliterate all things the true Demon God - Tyrant Neptune!" The light faded away and the massive hulking form of a dragon monster with six legs wielding a massive trident was revealed, the faces of Uria, Raviel, Hamon and the orb of the Wicked Avatar emblazened on it's chest.

Marowleth finally gave in to his pride and laughed manically as Haruki looked at the monster before, desperately looking for a way out.
"What can I do?" he asked himself before gasping slightly as he was sure for a brief instant he saw a familiar looking shadow fall across Marowleth.

Author's Note: Sorry for the long hiatus, my laptop has way too many problems. Furthermore there was also a lot of discussion between me and my collaborator as to how we wish to proceed with the story. We had an entire road map for this going in, however in light of how ARC V has been going we have been debating if we wanted to dedicate an entire arc to this story in addition to the ones we have been planning on doing. Considering that ARC V's plot is roughly over the course of a single month in-universe from the way things appear, we were debating if we wanted to use that to bridge the time gap between this and the next arc for more character development. As such a decision can affect current plot points and planned chapters it does cause quite a delay. I'll be more than happy to hear the opinions on this for any who have some to share. However note if ARC V is covered, it will be abbreviated immensely, focusing only on the main cast of Grand ARC, resulting in at best 50 chapters.
