I'm baaack! I so meant to update yesterday (and the week before, as planned) but I was exhausted and had a pounding headache. I'll tell you why at the end of the chapter ;-D. Enjoy!
Spring Break Part IV
When Kate emerged from her bedroom, dressed casually in sweatpants and a large hoodie that she snagged from Castle's suitcase, Lanie was practically preening around the room, a smug grin on her face while Castle sulked.
"What's going on?" she asked, drying her hair with a towel as she sat down next to her boyfriend on the couch.
"Lanie cheated," Castle grumbled, his arms crossed over his chest like a petulant child.
"Oh, I did not!" Lanie laughed. "Your boy here cheated—twice—and still got his ass whooped!" She cackled. "High five!" Kate complied, laughing as Castle's eyes widened.
"Traitor!" he exclaimed, gasping.
Kate rolled her eyes and pressed a kiss to his cheek. "You can't win them all, babe," she said.
"'Babe'?" Castle gasped, a smile appearing on his face. "Okay, I feel better now."
Kate rolled her eyes again and sighed. "Lanie," she said, "go take your shower. You can borrow some of my clothes if you want."
"Girl, that's nice and all but I don't think they'd fit around my curves. Eyes off the girls, Castle," she said without even looking at him. Kate turned to see Castle blushing and looking at his hands, folded in his lap. She snorted and shook her head.
"I'm sure Castle could lend you something of his," she said, nudging him. "Right, Castle?"
"Sure," Castle replied, sarcastically. "Just send me to school naked, why don't you? I'm not gonna have any clothes when I get back, you know."
"It's just until we can get Lanie's clothes washed, ya dingus," she said, elbowing him. "Lanie, just bring them out here when you're done and I'll throw 'em in the wash."
"'Kay," Lanie replied, making her way towards the guest room and reappearing with a few of Castle's things in her hands.
"Not my Green Lantern shirt!" Castle whined, pouting.
"I'll make it up to you later," Kate whispered in his ear.
"Keep it," Castle said to Lanie, not even looking at her. The shorter girl rolled her eyes.
"Get a room," she grumbled, making her way through to Kate's bathroom.
"Gladly," Castle murmured, getting a slap on the chest by Kate, who snorted.
XxXxX
By the time Lanie emerged from her own shower—donning Castle's Green Lantern shirt and his far too long sweatpants, they were cursing at each other and Castle was attempting to jostle Kate's grip on her controller.
"Castle!" Kate growled. "Quit it!"
"I have no idea what you're talking about," he replied, playing dumb. Kate pulled back and slammed, full-force, into him sideways. "Hey!" he whined, his Yoshi falling off Rainbow Road.
"What?" Kate replied, playing innocent.
"Cheater!"
"Takes one to know one!"
Lanie rolled her eyes and walked over to the kitchen, where she saw their food, still unopened.
"Y'all are ridiculous," Lanie mumbled, opening the bag and dishing out her food. They didn't seem to hear her, still yelling and cursing at each other. Carrying her plate and a bottle of water into the living room, she curled up on the couch, watching with interest as the two bickered like an old married couple over a video game.
It took another five minutes for Kate to jump up, raising her hands in victory.
"Hell yeah!" she exclaimed.
"Katherine Beckett!" a voice boomed from the back of the apartment and the girl jumped, startled. "Watch your language!"
"Sorry, Dad!" Kate called back, blushing. She waited until the door closed before grumbling; "Of all the things I yelled, that's what he heard?"
Castle and Lanie snickered at that, but it only took one Beckett glare to shut them up.
"Hey," Castle said, suddenly, "where did you get food?"
Kate and Lanie shared a look, before Kate nudged him. "You paid for it like twenty minutes ago, dingus," she reminded him.
"What happened to 'babe'?" Castle grumbled as he stood, making his way to the kitchen.
"He got his ass beat by his girlfriend," Kate said, in a low tone as she slapped his ass.
"I am trying to eat over here!" Lanie growled, through a mouthful of food. "Preferably without barfing."
"As if you and Javi don't make us sick with your googly eyes all the time," Castle snarked. Lanie stuck her tongue out at him and he made a face back.
"Quit it, children," Kate replied, "or you'll both get time-outs."
Both Lanie and Castle pouted at that, continuing to make faces behind Kate's back while she pretended not to notice.
"How about a movie?" she suggested. "Just while we eat."
"Sounds good to me," Lanie replied.
"I get to pick the movie though," Castle interjected.
"Fine," Kate sighed. "Loser gets to pick."
"You have to stop with these cutesy nicknames; you're making me blush." Kate snorted, kissing his cheek as she cuddled up next to him on the couch.
"Shut up and pick the movie," Lanie said.
"Alright, alright," Castle laughed, picking up the remote. "How does everybody feel about Forbidden Planet?"
"What's that?" Lanie asked, looking between her friends, who both gave her looks of complete horror.
"Have you been living under a rock your entire life?" Castle gasped.
"No," Lanie replied. "I've been busy having a life—no offense, Kate."
"I am very offended, actually," Kate teased, making Lanie snort. "Lanie, you'll love it! It's hilarious!"
"That, my dear," Castle said, "is an understatement." He searched through the On Demand menu, clicking Forbidden Planet and starting the movie.
THEY GOT MARRIED GUYS! THEY GOT FUCKING MARRIED (excuse my French)
Also, I MET STANA YESTERDAY!
I woke up at 4 am, took the train to New York City, the subway to Times Square, and stood for hours just to see her and give her this book that I made for her. And because the weather lady was giving out these roses (given to HER by Elmo and Grover, who I also met fyi), I also got to give her my rose—which she TWEETED about xD—and she signed my copy of Heat Wave.
Stana Katic is such a sweetheart, like everybody says and she stayed signing autographs even after the people she was with (her publicist and an ABC person I'm guessing) told her that she had to hurry to make it to The View on time. She is just so kind and caring and GORGEOUS and she made yesterday the best day ever and omg I'm still flailing.
Anyway, reviews would also be nice. Thanks for reading guys!
