-chapter 37-

The next morning went by normally, Phoebe and I made love in the shower again, which I guess was becomming some type of morning ritual. Nina got up and showered on her own, and then Phoebe helped her get dressed and then we all went down to the lobby to have breakfast as a family. After breakfast, we went over to the gym, Phoebe got in line, and Nina and I went inside, taking a place in the stands.

Nina: "How long is it going to be before Mommy battles?"

Me: "A little while, it's a pretty long line, and these battles tend to last awhile."

Nina: "Ok."

Me: "Just relax and watch sweetheart."

The strange old man sent out his rayquaza again, his opponent, a young trainer, sent out a granbull, which was a somewhat rare pokemon in kanto.

Nina: "What pokemon are those?"

Me: "The big green one is a rayquaza, and the smalled purple one is a granbull."

Nina: "Ok."

Me: "Rayquaza is a dragon flying type, and granbull is a normal type."

Some random guy overheard us and corrected me.

Random guy: "Actually a few years ago it was reclassified as a fairy type."

Me: "Really?"

Random guy: "Mhm."

Me: "Ok thanks for that."

Random guy: "No problem."

Random guy: "Is this your wife?"

Me: "No...she's my adopted daughter, my wife is waiting in line."

Random guy: "I was going to say, she looks really young."

Me: "Well that's because she is."

Random guy: "My is Lyle, by the way."

Me: "Mine's Cj..."

Lyle: "Glad to meet you."

Me: "Same here, I guess."

The trainer's granbull got hit by one of rayquaza's hyperbeams and fainted without being able to land a single hit. The trainer returned it and sent out a Raichu, that attacked with thunderbolt. This time he had better luck and rayquaza was hurt.

Me: "Do you know anything about this gym leader?"

Lyle: "Nope...other then he's very mysterious."

Me: "I battle him yesterday and won, but he never even gave me his name."

Lyle: "He wouldn't give me his name either, in fact he barely said anything other than what the rules of the battle would be."

Me: "Same here."

Me: "My wife came up with this crazy theory that the rayquaza is the gym leader, and the old man is just a puppet."

Lyle: "Yeah...that doesn't make any sense at all."

Lyle: "Rayquazas do not have mind control powers, and even if they did, why would it want to do this?"

Lyle: "Is your wife a gardevoir too?"

Me: "Yep."

Lyle: "Another thing that's strange, is psychic types have trouble reading his mind."

Me: "Weird."

Eventually the trainer ran out of pokemon and left, only to be replaced by another trainer. The old man healed his rayquaza, and once again another battle started.

Everytime a new pokemon was sent out, Nina asked what it was, and I told her. She was very curious about battling, and like usual she asked a lot of questions. I was just glad her interest didn't fade, because it was atleast another hour before Phoebe's turn came up. The old man was on another winning streak, hopefully Phoebe would have better luck then the dozen or so trainers who went before her.

Nina: "Oh look daddy, it's mommy."

Me: "Yep."

She waved cutely at her mother, who waved back.

-thinking to herself- Phoebe: "What is up with this guy?"

Phoebe: "I can't tell what he's thinking."

They shook hands, the old man sent out his rayquaza. Phoebe sent out Rocky, and the battle started.

Phoebe: "Ok Rocky, let's start with rock blast."

Rocky: "Golem."

Rocky proceeded to throw several rocks at Rayquaza, most of them missied and rayquaza went straight in to a fly attack, slamming Rocky into the wall. Rocky got back up, but it was obvious he was having issues adjusting to his new body, a thing that effected many pokemon after evolving. Mostly ones that change form drastically durring evolution. Rocky's body, for instance, was no longer rock based, and now was more reptillian. This affected several pokemon, especially ones like magicarp and remoraid. Rocky was moving slowly, still as he was still adjusting. He could still attack, but was not able to avoid attacks as well as he could yesterday. However, his new body was also a lot more durable, so he could absorb more attacks as well. Rayquaza landed several hits, but Rocky, determined to win, kept getting back up, although like yesterday, he was having a hard time hitting Rayquaza. This battle went on for several minutes, and over time Rocky was able to deal a fair amount of damage, much like yesterday. But eventually he got tired and fainted, after get slammed against a wall enough times that if he were human, he would have probably been reduced to a bloody pulp. Even though he still lost, he took several more hits than he did yesterday, so it was still a big improvement. He just wasn't quite used to his new body yet. And his most powerful move, earthquake, would'nt affect Rayquaza in the least. After he fainted, Rayquaza was noticeably banged up and bruised all over, though it was still fighting strong.

Phoebe then sent out Bulby, just to have it use leachseed. Which missed, unfortunately, then Rayquaza attacked with Fly, slamming him against the wall, He got back up, but was noticably starting to wobble, prompting Phoebe to return him. Then Phoebe sent out Buzzer, her golbat, and Rayquaza started using hyperbeams to counter it. Buzzer did about as well as My golbat, drawing a small amount of blood, and avoiding several hits, but inevitably it was hit and fainted right away.

Reluctantly, Phoebe sent out Draco, realizing Rayquaza was weak to ice, she told it to use ice beam. The ice beam skimmed Rayquaza a few times, causing a few patches of ice to form on its body, but it quickly broke them off and started shooting more hyperbeams, which Draco managed to avoid. Then Rayquaza dived on him, terrifying the poor dratini. It fired an ice beam at it, which hit Rayquaza square in the head, effectively a critical hit,Draco moved at the last second as the gargantuan dragon crashed into the ground, which more than likely would have crushed him. Remarkably, Rayquaza got back up. Though it wasn't moving as fast as it had been. It slammed Draco into the wall with its tail. Knocking him out.

Phoebe then sent out Cubey, who got knocked out fairly quickly and wasn't able to cause any damage.

Mouser fell in the same way, after ramming Rayquaza head on, causing minimal damage to rayquaza but knocking itself out in the process. With only one pokemon left Phoebe had to switch back to Bulby, who very near fainting.

Me: "Well this doesn't look good..."

Nina: "Do you think mommy is going to lose?"

Me: "It looks that way."

Phoebe commanded Bulby to use leach seed, hoping it would allow Bulby to heal a bit, this time, it actually hit and Rayquaza got wrapped up in its vines, although it was still able to fly. It retaliated with hyper beam, which missed, and then began another fly attack. Before it could complete the attack however, leech seed had drained the last of it's health away and it crashed into the ground once again. Phoebe won the battle, but just barely. She returned Bulby, and met with the old man, who simply handed her the badge, and walked back to his side of the arena.

Me: "Come on Nina let's get going."

Nina: "Ok."

Nina: "Goodbye Lyle."

Lyle: "Bye.."

We left the stands and met up with Phoebe in the gym's lobby. Nina ran up and hugged her.

-cutely- Nina: "Goodjob Mommy you won."

Phoebe: "-sighs- That was a hard battle."

Me: "I know, we saw everything."

Phoebe: "Did you enjoy watching the battles sweety?"

Nina: "It was fun mommy, seeing all the pokemon."

Phoebe: "hehe...good."

She kissed Nina on the cheek.

Me: "Come on honey, let's get back to the center and get your pokemon healed."

Phoebe: "They deserve it, poor things."

Me: "And then we can trade back."

Phoebe: "Oh yeah..."

Phoebe: "Rocky did good."

Phoebe: "I think Cubey, Draco, and Mouser could use more training though."

Me: "Yeah...probably."

Phoebe: "You were right, the gym leader here is weird."

Me: "See...told you."

Phoebe: "Allright guys, come on let's go."

Nina: "Ok."

We left the gym and headed back to the pokemon center, Phoebe gave her pokemon to the Nurse so she could heal them, and then we all got lunch.

-at the lunch table-

Phoebe: "So we both have all eight badges now?"

Me: "Mhm."

Phoebe: "So now what?"

Me: "Find out where the league is and how to participate."

Phoebe: "Ok...how are we going to do that?"

Me: "I don't know, ask the nurse?"

Nina: "What's the league?"

Phoebe: "It's like a tournament, but only those that have eight badges from the kanto region can participate in it."

Phoebe: "Every region has one, and their purpose is to find the best trainers."

Nina: "Ok."

Nina: "So you're going to compete against daddy?"

Phoebe: "Um..maybe."

Phoebe: "It depends on how it works out."

Phoebe: "And how far we make it in the tournament."

Nina: "Ok."

We finished eating, then Phoebe took her pokemon back, and we quickly traded back our pokemon.

Phoebe: "Thanks for helping me Rocky."

She took Polli's pokeball from the machine.

Phoebe: "Now I'm going to ask the nurse about the league."

Me: "Ok."

We went up to the front desk.

Phoebe: "Um Nurse, do you know anything about the Indigo league?"

Nurse: "The league? The league isn't for a few months yet."

Phoebe: "Really?"

Nurse: "Mhm, the league tournament is only held at the end of every year so young trainers who can't drive have enough time to beat enough gyms."

Phoebe: "Well how do we sign up?"

Nurse: "They only announce that when it's getting close to starting."

Phoebe thanked the nurse, then we all went up to the room.

Phoebe: "What are we going to do for a few months?"

Me: "I don't know."

Me: "We can't go back home for now, what if James needs us again?"

Phoebe: "I guess we could go back to Cinnabar."

-Yelling- Nina: "No...not Cinnabar, never again."

Phoebe: "Nina what's wrong?"

Phoebe: "I guess she's terrified of Cinnabar."

Nina: "I never want to go back there...please."

Me: "Honey, we would only go back there for vacation, we wouldn't be giving you back to team rocket."

-scared- Nina: "No..."

Phoebe: "Oh Nina, calm down, if it terrifies you that much, we won't go there."

Nina: "Good."

Me: "So what then?"

Phoebe: "I don't know."

Phoebe: "I guess we could go back home for a little while."

Me: "Maybe..."

Nina: "What home?"

Phoebe: "Our house back in the other world, you'll like it there, it's very peaceful and we can get you lots of toys to play with."

Phoebe: "And then we could just be a family for a few months until the tournament starts."

Me: "I don't know honey."

Phoebe: "Or we could go visit my parents in the Gardevoir city."

-cutely- Nina: "Gramma and granpa?"

-cutely- Phoebe: "Mhm."

Me: "Yeah, but we can't stay there for months."

Phoebe: "I know, but it would be nice, and that way Nina can meet her grandparents."

Me: "Hmmm...Ok."

Me: "Although it's a long way over there."

Phoebe: "Yeah, but still."

Me: "Allright, let's just go."

Nina: "Yay."

Phoebe: "Really?"

Me: "Mhm."

Phoebe: "Ok, I'll go order the tickets."

Me: "Allright."

She headed to the lobby to use the computer to purchase tickets, of course it was expensive, about 500 pokedollars for the three of us, plus another 800 to ship the car. But we had some money on us, so it wouldn't matter too much. Then we packed up and left the pokemon center, got in the car and headed to the airport.

When we got on the plane, Nina brought her little stuffed toy with her. She seemed to be attached to that thing ever since Phoebe bought it for her, she always seemed to have it in her arms. Ah well, as long as she was happy with it, it wasn't a problem. Nina held on to it tight as the plane took off, she was still a little nervous about flying. She got window seat, with me in the middle and Phoebe on the outside. She peered out the window as the plane lifted into the air, getting an amazing view of Scarlett City as the plane flew over it.

About four hours later we arrived in HeartHome, waiting at the airport for them to unload our car, which had come in on a different plane. We shipped all our luggage with the car, so we wouldn't have to worry about collecting it. By the way, an interesting fact about the airplanes here, is that pokeballs would not work on them, they were disabled for safety reasons. So a large pokemon could not be released on board and destroy the plane. Anyway we left the airport, and started heading for the gardevoir city.

Nina: "Where are we going mommy?"

Phoebe: "We're going to the gardevoir city."

Nina: "I thought this was the gardevoir city."

Phoebe: "No...this is Hearthome, the gardevoir city is still a little bit away."

Nina: "Ok."

Nina: "When will we get there?"

Me: "It takes awhile, but it's worth it."

Phoebe: "Awe...Cj.."

Me: "What? I always thought the city was pretty cool."

-cutely- Phoebe: "Awe.."

Eventually we left the limits of Hearthome and started down that long, dirt road through the forrest that leads to the city. After traveling through the forrest for a few minutes, Nina started to get bored.

Nina: "Mommy, I'm bored, how long is this going to take?"

Me: "Why don't you see if you can find some pokemon in the forrest?"

Me: "I can see some Starly in the trees."

Nina: "What are Starly?"

Me: "Those little grey pokemon."

Nina: "Oh...I see them now."

-cutely- Nina: "Hehe...they're kind of cute."

-unsure- Me: "Uh...I guess so."

Nina: "And there's one of those things that Mouser is."

Me: "A bibarel?"

Nina: "Um...I guess."

About an hour of pokemon spotting later we were finally getting close to the city. We reached the end of the road, and Phoebe parked the car.

Nina: "This doesn't look like a city at all..."

Nina: "All I see is a big waterfall."

Phoebe: "Oh sweety, just wait."

Me: "Yeah, it's here, just trust us."

Phoebe: "Come on."

Nina: "Ok."

We got out of the car and walked over to the edge of the cliff.

Phoebe: "Ok Nina, take my hand, you too Cj."

Me: "Allright."

She teleported us to the top of cliff, just outside the city.

Phoebe: "See it now?"

-amazed-Nina :"Wha...?"

Nina: "It's so pretty."

Phoebe: "Mhm, this is where I grew up."

Phoebe: "Come on, let's go."

Nina: "Ok."

We headed into the city, and up into the trees, as Phoebe led the way to the palace.

Me: "I swear this place looks different everytime."

Phoebe: "Yeah, well now everyone's preparing for winter."

Me: "Ok."

Phoebe:"Here we are."

Nina: "This is your house?"

Phoebe: "Well sort of..I grew up here."

Guard: "Princess?"

Phoebe: "Oh..hello."

NIna: "You're really a princess mommy?"

Phoebe: "Mhm, I told you so, didn't I?"

Me: "I couldn't believe the first time I found out either."

-curiously- Nina: "Hmm."

We went up to the door, Vivian, Phoebe's mother, and the queen, answered it.

Phoebe"Hi mom."

Vivian: "Oh hello Phoebe, I was expecting you."

Vivian: "Where's my little grandaughter?"

-cutely- Nina: "Gramma?"

Vivian: "Oh there you are.."

Vivian: "Yes, I'm your Gramma."

Nina came up and hugged her.

Vivian: "Oh aren't you just the sweetest thing?"

Phoebe: "Oh..you already know about her?"

Vivian: "Of..course, I saw her in a vision just a few days ago."

Phoebe: "Well that kind of ruins the surprise."

Me: "hehe."

Vivian: "Come on in, all of you."

Phoebe: "Ok."

Phoebe :"Where's Dad?"

Vivian: "Oh you know how busy he is these days, with all the modernizations."

Vivian: "He's in the city negotiating with some people right now about installing new heating systems in all the houses."

Phoebe: "Really?"

Vivian: "Yeah, in time for the winter."

Vivian: "The new system is supposed to be electric, so we won't have to rely on firewood anymore to keep warm."

Phoebe: "Oh..well, that's nice."

Vivian: "We saw you two on the tv."

Phoebe: "Oh...you did?"

Vivian: "Yeah, what were you doing, fighting team rocket in Saffron?"

Phoebe: "Hehe, it's a long story."

Me: "But how?"

Vivian: "You don't think I would recognize my own daughter on the tv?"

Phoebe: "Hehehehe, oh mom.."

Vivian: "And you two be careful allright, team rocket is very dangerous."

Vivian: "And Phoebe you know I worry about you so much, and Cj too."

Me: "Awe...thanks."

Vivian: "And now I have another young gardevoir to worry about."

Phoebe: "You mean Nina right?"

Vivian: "Mhm, have you been teaching her?"

Phoebe: "Of course."

Phoebe: "I mean she's not that strong yet, but she's learning."

Vivian: "Well that's good."

-cutely- Nina: "I can move stuff with my mind."

Vivian :"Good."

-quietly- Phoebe: "Um..mom, how much do you know about her?"

-quietly- Vivian: "Enough to know she's been forced to evolve, but that's not your fault."

-quietly- Vivian: "I mean look at her, she's so tiny."

-awkwardly- Me: "Uh..girls?"

Nina started to wonder off, looking at everything around the house.

Me: "Nina, don't mess around with their things."

Nina: "Awe..."

Vivian: "You know Rath moved out?"

Phoebe: "He did?"

Vivian: "Yeah, he wanted his own place so he moved to the vacant house next door."

Phoebe: "Ok..."

Vivian: "He's out hunting with some of his friends right now, but he'll be back later."

Phoebe: "Oh..ok, I never thought he would do that."

Vivian: "Well you're father believes it's because he wanted to impress some girl."

Phoebe: "Really?"

Vivian: "The one you sent here, with the baby?"

Phoebe: "Cionna?"

Vivian: "Yeah..."

-cutely- Phoebe: "Awe...isn't that just sweet?"

Vivian: "So soon I might have a grandson."

Phoebe: "Awe..."

Me: "Rath's hooking up with Cionna?"

Vivian: "That's the rumor."

Vivian: "Anyway, how long were you two planning to stay this time?"

Phoebe: "I don't know, we've got plenty of time."

Me: "Yeah, we've just got all eight badges, but the kanto league doesn't start for a few months."

Vivian: "Wonderful."

Vivian: "I was hoping you would stay awhile this time."

Phoebe: "Well we aren't going to stay for a month, but, we'll stay for a little bit."

Vivian: "Allright, I'll take it."

Nina started tugging on Phoebe's arm.

Nina: "Mommy I'm bored."

Phoebe: "Oh Nina, come on, let me show you my room, I have some old dolls there you can play with."

-excited- Nina: "Ok."

Everyone followed Phoebe up to her room, and she dug through her closet looking for her box of dolls and presented the box to Nina.

Phoebe: "Here you go sweety, you can have them."

Nina: "Really Mommy?"

Phoebe: "Of course, I'm too old to play with them anymore, so you can have them now."

Nina: "Yay!"

Nina hugged Phoebe, then set the box down on the bed and opened it up, taking out the wooden dolls and holding them in joy.

Vivian: "Awe...she likes them."

Phoebe :"Mother I hope you don't mind."

Vivian: "No...it's allright, I made them to be passed down."

Nina: "You made them?"

Vivian: "Mhm..for your mother.."

-cutely- Nina: "Really?"

Vivian: "Mhm."

-cutely- Nina: "They're very nice."

Vivian: "Awe..thankyou."

Phoebe :"You always were good at crafts mom."

Vivian :"Hehe..."

Vivian: "Let's head back downstairs, your father should be home soon."

Vivian: "And who knows what he'll bring back with him."

Phoebe: "Why what happened?"

Vivian: "Last time he went to town he purchased a bunch of stuff for the city."

Vivian:" New tvs, electric lights, lots of things, There's now a turbine set up up stream that generates electricity for us."

Phoebe: "Oh really?"

Vivian: "Mhm."

Vivian:" This place has changed so much recently."

Phoebe: "Yeah, I remember before we had electricity."

Vivian: "Yeah, but things are so much nicer now."

Vivian :"Anyway, he should be back in just a little while."

Vivian: "You wanna watch some tv or something?"

Phoebe: "Um..I guess."

Phoebe :"Come on Cj."

Me: "Allright."

-in the living room.-

Phoebe :"This is your tv?"

Vivian: "Mhm."

Phoebe: "It's tiny."

Me: "Honey, it's one of those holographic tvs,"

Phoebe: "Oh..."

Phoebe: "How much did this cost?"

Vivian: "I don't know, but we've been making a lot more money this year than ever."

Vivian: "Your father scored contracts with the pokemarts around Sinnoh, as well as the Celadon and Goldenrod department stores."

Vivian: "That's how we're able to afford all this new stuff."

Phoebe: "I thought it was strange they were selling gardevoir dresses in Celadon."

Vivian: "Yep."

Vivian :"They're all made here."

Vivian: "People like the furniture we make here too."

Vivian: "So it sells for a high price."

Vivian :"You know Phoebe, your father has turned out to be a really great business man as well as the king."

Phoebe: "I never thought of that before."

Vivian: "And he's done so much to improve the lives of all the gardevoir here, he's planning on helping out the colonies in the hoen region as well."

Phoebe: "Wait, that reminds me mom, did you know Cecil is still alive?"

Vivian: "He is?"

Vivian: "You're joking."

Phoebe: "No, we met him in Cinnabar, he's still very much alive."

Vivian: "Hmm."

Phoebe: "Aparently the hoen colonies got attacked by team rocket and he was captured."

Phoebe: "But Cj and I freed him along with some other gardevoir."

Vivian: "Did he say anything about going back to his old job?"

Phoebe: "No...he said he didn't want to."

Vivian: "Awe...well that's a shame."

Vivian: "It's good to know he's still alive though, lot's of people here were worrying and now their fears can be put to rest."

Nina: "I wanna watch tv, maybe Torch the growlithe is on."

Vivian: "What's Torch the growlithe?"

Phoebe: "It's her favorite tv show."

Me: "She just saw it yesterday and she loves it."

Phoebe: "Yeah I even bought her a toy of it because she asked so nicely, and she didn't have any toys of her own."

Vivian: "Awe...isn't that sweet?"

Vivian: "Ok sweety, let's see if we can find this 'Torch the Growlithe'."

She turned the tv on, a huge, holographic screen came out of the machine. Nina plopped down in front of it, setting the box of dolls beside her.

Vivian: "Not so tiny anymore is it dear?"

Phoebe: "No...not at all."

-amazed- Nina: "Woah...cool."

Me: "Hehe, yes it is."

Vivian: "Let's see whats on the kid's channel."

Nina: "Wait gramma I see Torch."

Vivian: "Oh...that's it hmm?'

Nina: "Mhm."

Vivian :"Ok."

-on tv- Torch: "You will never get away with this Morty, it isn't nice."

-on tv- Morty: "Oh...but I will Torchy, all I have to do is press this button, and all of pokeland's rare candies will be mine."

-on tv- Torch: "Don't do it."

He pressed the button anyway, only for nothing to happen, in confusion, he pressed it again, then pressed it several times, still nothing.

-confused, on tv- Morty: "What the, why isn't it working?"

Me: "Why does he want to steal all the rare candies?"

Phoebe: "I don't know, maybe so he can become superpowerful."

Me: "If he wanted power, why doesn't he just find a dusk stone and evolve?"

Phoebe: "I don't know, maybe because honchcrow is kind of a scary pokemon?"

She had a point, have you ever heard it's cry in the games?

Vivian: "I don't really understand it either."

Vivian: "Growlithes can't talk, and neither can murkrow."

Phoebe: "Well it's a cartoon, it's not supposed to be realistic."

Phoebe: "They just made it so they can talk so people can understand them."

Vivian: "Ok."

Vivian: "I've seen a lot of other tv shows with innapropriately talking pokemon as well."

Phoebe: "It's a common subject on tv."

Vivian: "It seems to be."

-on tv- Narrator: "And once again Morty the murkrow's evil plans are ruined by the triumphant might of Torch and friends."

-on tv- Narrator: "Remember to check your local pokemart for the latest Torch and friends products."

-cutely- Nina: "Hey there's that toy I have."

Phoebe: "Mhm."

We heard a knock on the door.

Vivian: "Oh, that's probably your father, I'll go get it."

Phoebe: "Ok."

She went to go answer the door.

Vivian: "Yep it's your father."

Vivian: "Come in honey."

She opened the door.

Vivian :"How was your trip."

William: "It was exausting, having to learn about all this new technology the humans have come up with."

Vivian :"Well I have a surprise for you."

William :"What?"

Vivian: "Phoebe came to visit and she brought our grandaughter."

Vivian: "They're in the livingroom."

William :"Oh, well that's nice."

He went into the livingroom, Vivian followed behind.

Phoebe :"Oh hi dad."

William: "Hello sweety, it's nice to see you."

William: "And who is this young gardevoir?"

Phoebe: "Oh, she's your grandaughter, we adopted her."

Vivian: "See William I told you."

William :"I didn't believe it at first, but look at you."

-cutely- Nina: "Grampa!"

She got up and hugged him.

Vivian: "See how tiny she is?"

William: "Yeah, well, she'll grow up soon."

Vivian: "Yeah, maybe."

William: "How old is she?"

Phoebe: "The nurse said she's only twelve."

William: "Well, that makes her really young for a gardevoir."

Phoebe: "Yeah, team rocket didn't treat her very well, that's why we adopted her."

William: "Awe..."

William: "Well welcome to the family little one."

Nina: "-giggles cutely-."

Vivian: "Awe...she's so adorable."

William: "So is she a mind reader or a fortune teller?"

William: "Or do you know yet?"

Phoebe: "Um, we're pretty sure she's a mind reader."

Vivian: "Awe...what a shame, it looks like I'm still the only fortune teller in the family."

Vivian: "Have you taught her how to use her powers yet?"

Phoebe: "Um.. a little bit, we're still working on it."

She teleported around the room a few times.

William: "That's very good."

Nina: "See grampa?"

William: "Mhm."

Vivian: "So William, did you get anything while you were in the city?"

William: "Not today I'm afraid, they haven't got the right model in stock."

William: "But I placed some orders and the city should have heat by the end of the week."

Vivian: "Well that's good, it hasn't started to get cold yet, but everyone will be glad they no longer have to gather firewood."

William: "Mhm."

William: "So what have you two been up too?"

Phoebe: "Um..not much."

Phoebe: "We got all eight badges we need to take on the league, um...we adopted Nina."

William :"Is that why you were on the tv?"

-nervously- Phoebe: "Um..Dad, I can explain."

William: "It's allright sweety."

William :" I just want you to know I support what you're doing."

Phoebe: "You do?"

William: "Of course, Team rocket is an evil organization, they've attacked our village multiple times and have hurt so many of us."

William: "I just want you two to be careful ok?"

Phoebe: "Ok.."

William :"We're both very proud of you and Cj."

Me: "Um...thanks."

-wining- Nina: "What about me?"

Vivian: "We're proud of you too, don't worry."

-cutely- Nina: "Yay!"

Phoebe: "Hehe...Nina."

Vivian: "Come on let's watch some tv."

William: "That's a great Idea."

We all went over to the couch and watched some tv.

Rath came by a few minutes later, with Cionna and her baby.

William: "Hello son."

Rath: "Hi dad."

Cionna: "Hi."

William: "Helo Cionna."

William: "You two can come in, it's nice to have the whole family here."

Rath: "Phoebe's here too."

William :"Mhm, come meet your new niece."

Cionna: "She had a baby?"

William: "No..no, they adopted, her name is Nina."

Rath: "Ok I was wondering, she didn't look pregnant last time I saw her."

Cionna: "Yeah, I though that sounded weird."

-cutely, like a baby- Cionna's baby: "Mama, who that man?"

Cionna: "It's your grandfather."

-cutely, like a baby- Cionna's baby: " Oh..."

William: "Well, not yet, you're still not married."

Cionna: "I know..but I hope to be."

Rath: "Hehe...Cionna..."

Rath: "We'll talk about it later ok?"

Cionna: "Ok."

They entered house and joined the rest of us in the living room.

Phoebe: "Oh hi, Cionna, I didn't think the rumors were true."

Cionna: "What rumors?"

Phoebe: "About you dating Rath?"

Cionna: "Well...um...they are true."

Rath: "Oh Phoebe, don't bother her."

Rath: "So where's this niece I heard about? "

Phoebe :"Awe...dad told you already?"

Rath: "Mhm."

Nina: "Is he talking about me?"

Phoebe: "Yeah."

-Cutely- Nina: "Then here I am."

Rath: "Hmm, I thought you would be a ralts or a kirlia..."

Rath: "Not a tiny gardevoir."

Nina: "Everyone says that."

Rath: "Awe well."

Rath: "So how old are you?"

Nina: "Twelve."

Rath: "Really?"

Nina: "Mhm."

Rath: "No way, you can't be twelve."

Cionna: "Oh very good, he's learning how to talk."

Phoebe: "Good."

Cionna: "Why don't you say something sweety?"

-cutely- Phoebe: "Awe...how cute."

Phoebe: "Can I hold him?"

Me: "Yeah, I guess he is pretty cute?"

Phoebe: "What's his name?"

Cionna: "Um..."

Phoebe: "His name is Um?"

Cionna: "No, I haven't named him yet."

Phoebe: "Oh Cionna, that's one of the things you were supposed to do when they're born."

Cionna: "But I don't know what to name him."

Nina ended her conversation with Rath and interjected into ours.

Nina: "What about Torch?"

Phoebe: "Nina...no..."

Phoebe: "That's just silly."

Cionna: "Well then I guess his name is Torch now.

Phoebe: "Awe...how cute."

Phoebe :"But you know she only said that because Torch is her favourite tv show character right?"

Cionna: "Really?"

Cionna: "Fine, I guess I'll pick something else."

-cutely, like a baby- Torch: "No momma, my name is Torch now pwease don't change."

Cionna: "Allright, if you say so."

Rath: "I think it actually sound pretty cool."

Cionna :" You think so Rath?"

Rath: "Yeah.."

Cionna: "Ok."

-cutely, like a baby- Torch: "Dadda."

Phoebe :"Oh...Rath, he sees you as his father."

Rath :"Well, yeah, that's what we've been telling him, in case we do get married."

Phoebe: "Oh you will. Especially if you're calling yourself his father already."

Cionna :"Do you think we should get married?"

Phoebe: "If you're really sure that you love eachother, then yes, you should."

Cionna: "Ok."

Vivian: "Of course dear, besides, we'd absolutely love to have a grandson."

Phoebe: " Awe...mom."

Cionna: "Hehehe."

Rath: "But mom I not really sure if I want to get married yet."

Cionna: "But why?"

Rath: "Cionna, you're great, but, I'm just not ready, not yet."

Cionna: "Why not?"

Rath: "It's just."

Vivian: "It's Solana isn't it?"

Vivian: "Rath, I was hoping we wouldn't have to go over this."

Vivian: "I thought you had moved on, that's why I was so glad when I heard you were dating Cionna."

Rath: "But mom I can't."

Vivian: "You need to let her go."

Vivian: "It's what she would want."

Cionna: "Rath I understand if you don't want to get married yet."

Cionna: "It's ok."

Rath: "No, it's not, I...I..I don't know."

Cionna: "Phoebe can you hold Torch for a moment?"

Phoebe: "Oh..sure."

Cionna :"He's fallen asleep, try not to wake him up."

Torch had fallen asleep, so he was unaware he was handed to Phoebe.

Phoebe: "Ok."

Phoebe: "Awe...he's even cuter up close."

Nina: "Mommy can I see the baby?"

Phoebe: "Sure you can, come up here."

Phoebe :"Cj move over a little bit."

Me: "Allright."

Cionna: "Rath..it's allright."

Rath: "You know what, I'm just going to do it."

Cionna: "Do what?"

He got down on his knees."

Rath: "Cionna, my love, will you marry me?"

Phoebe: "Oh my..."

Vivian :"Rath?"

William: "I'd never thought I'd see this happen."

Cionna: "Rath...are you sure?"

Rath: "Yes..I'm sure."

Cionna looked towards Phoebe, forlornly.

Phoebe: "Cionna, what are you looking at me for? Go ahead and say yes silly."

Nina: "Mommy what's going on?"

Phoebe: "Shh, quiet."

Cionna: "Yes...I will marry you."

Vivian: "yes.."

Phoebe: "Awe..."

She snuggled against me."

Me: "Hehe..baby girl."

William: "Well that was unexpected."

Vivian: "Very sweet though."

Phoebe: "I think I'm going to cry.."

Me: "Oh...sweety...it's allright."

Phoebe: "No Cj, out of joy..."

Me: "Ok.."

Rath: "So...hehe..what now?"

Cionna: " Hmm..I don't know."

William :"Well now we have to plan the wedding of course."

Cionna: "Ok."

Phoebe: "Cj, we have to stay and see their wedding."

Me: "Allright, sure..."

Nina: "What's a wedding."

Phoebe: "You'll see soon enough sweetheart."

-crying- Vivian: "Our little family is growing bigger."

-crying- William: "Yes it is darling."

It seemed as if Nina and I were the only ones who weren't crying at that point. Awe well.

Nina: "Why is everyone crying?"

-crying- Phoebe: "Oh Nina, I guess you're too young to understand."

Cionna: "Can I have my child back?"

Phoebe: "Of course."

Cionna: "Well little guy, it looks like you'll finally have a father."

Torch was still fast asleep.

Phoebe was clinging to me tight, and then Nina came in too, although she didn't know not to hold me too tight.

-cutely- Nina: "I love you guys."

Poebe: "Oh Nina..we love you too."

Me: "Nina, please don't hold me so tight."

Phoebe: "Is she hurting you?"

Me: "A little."

Nina: "Oh...sorry."

Vivian: "Well I guess I better start making dinner."

Vivian: "Nina would you like to help?"

-unsure- Nina: "Um.."

Phoebe: "It's allright Nina, you can go."

-cutely- Nina: "Yes gramma."

Vivian: "Well come with me into the kitchen then."

Nina: "Ok."

William: "You know Cionna, I think we still have a cradle for Torch upstairs, I'll go see if I can find it."

Cionna: "Oh...Ok.."

William: "That way you don't have to carry him around all the time."

Cionna: "Oh...um thanks."

William: "It's no problem, it used to be Rath's."

Cionna: "Awe...how sweet."

-somewhat embarrassed- Rath: "Dad!"

William :"Oh relax son, everyone was a baby once, now come on and help me carry the cradle down here."

Rath: "-sighs- Ok."

Nina and Vivian went into the kitchen, Rath and Cionna were holding eachother close. Phoebe was still holding me.

-cutely- Phoebe: "I love you Cj."

Me: "I love you too honey."

We kissed. A few moments later Rath and William came back with cradle, and Cionna placed Torch inside, he was still fast asleep.

Phoebe: "So when is the wedding going to be?"

Rath: "I don't know, when do you want it to be honey?"

Cionna: "Hmm...whatever is allright with you."

Cionna: "But I need someone to look after Torch during the wedding."

Phoebe: "Oh we will if you want."

Me: "Phoebe..."

Phoebe :" Oh Cj...relax it's just for a day.."

Phoebe: "And maybe during their honeymoon."

Cionna: "Really Phoebe, you'd do that for me?"

Phoebe: "Of course."

Phoebe: "If Cj will let me."

She looked at me...at some point, I should really learn how to say no to her, but with eyes like hers, she could easily get anything she wanted, yet she chose to be with me.

Me: "-sighs- Fine..."

Phoebe: "Great, so it's settled."

She kissed me.

Phoebe: "Thanks Cj."

Me: "Yeah...don't mention it."

Phoebe: "Hehe..I can't believe they're getting married."

Me: "Yeah, I never thought they would end up together."

Phoebe: "Oh Cj, I'm so happy right now."

Me: "I can see that."

Me: "You know it wasn't too long ago when we got married."

Phoebe: "I know, hehe, you were so nervous."

Rath: "Yeah he was.."

Me: "Hey."

Phoebe: "You know after all we've been through, I don't think I've ever seen you as nervous as you were when we got married here."

Me: "Ok now you're just saying that to get on my nerves."

-mischeivously- Phoebe: "Maaaaaaaaaybeeeeee."

Rath: "You haven't changed a bit, have you sister?"

Phoebe: "Nope."

Rath: "Hehe...I thought so."

Nina came into the room for a moment.

Nina : "Gramma told me to tell you dinner will be ready in about half an hour."

William: "She did?"

Nina: "Mhm."

William: "Well ok then."

William: "Tell her I'm going to go make sure the guards are at their posts, I'll be back in a little bit."

Nina: "Ok."

Nina went back into the kitchen, and William prepared to leave the house. While Phoebe tried to talk him out of leaving.

Phoebe: "Oh daddy, you don't have to leave now do you?"

William: "Only for a little while sweety, I'll be back in just a little bit."

William: "You know it's a tough job being king."

Phoebe: "I know, but still."

Phoebe: "You better be back in time for dinner or mom will be mad."

William: "I know, don't you worry I'll be back."

Phoebe: "-sighs- ok."

William left.

Phoebe: "I swear, I'll never understand why he just leaves like that."

Me: "Well, he's the king, his job is fairly important."

Phoebe: "I know and he's good king, but he isn't exactly the best father."

Me: "My dad is kind of the same way."

Cionna: "Your dad is a king?"

Me: "No..."

Me: "What I meant was he can be a total workaholic sometimes."

Phoebe: "Oh...ok."

Rath: "-sighs-."

Cionna: "Rath is something wrong?"

Rath: "It's just, I always thought I would get married to Solana."

Phoebe: "Oh Rath..."

Cionna: "Rath, please stop talking about her...it's driving me crazy."

Cionna: "Look, If you don't want to marry me, just tell me."

Rath: "No..Cionna, I want to marry you, it's just."

Rath: "I miss Solana."

Phoebe: "Rath...I miss her too, she was my friend long before she was your girlfriend anyway."

Phoebe: "But you have to move on."

Phoebe:"It's what she would want you to do."

Rath: "But what if she's still out there? What if she expects me to wait for her?"

Phoebe: "Rath, it has been 3 years, ok, I don't think she's comming back."

Phoebe: "Look, you and Cionna have chance to be together, and it's a chance both of you really should take."

Rath: "You're right."

Phoebe: "I know I'm right."

Phoebe: "Look at me and Cj, we're happy, we're close."

Me: "Awe...sweety."

She kissed me.

Phoebe: "Don't miss out on this opportunity Rath, they don't come very often."

Torch woke up, and somehow managed to get out of his crib, and crawled along the floor over to Cionna.

-cutely, like a baby- Torch: "Mommy...I founded you."

Cionna picked him up.

Cionna: "Hey you...how did you get out of your crib?"

-cutely, like a baby- Torch: " I dunno."

Phoebe: "Awe..how cute."

Me: "Yeah, I guess he is kind of cute."

Phoebe: "Cj I wanna have a baby someday.."

Me: "I know..."

Me: "What about Nina?"

Phoebe: "She's not a baby."

Me: "-sighs-."

I kissed her.

Me: "I love you."

Phoebe: "I love you too."

Rath: "Hehe...watcha doing kiddo?"

Cionna: "See Rath, he already accepts you as his father."

Torch cutely lifted his arms..

Cionna: "Awe..I think he wants you to hold him."

Rath: "Hehe...well that's a first."

Cionna: "Here...just be careful."

Rath held the baby in his arms, it looked up at him and smiled cutely.

Phoebe: "Awe..."

Rath: "Hey little guy..."

-cutely, like a baby- Torch: " I wuv you..."

Phoebe: "Awe..."

Rath: "I love you too."

Cionna: "Oh...how sweet."

-cutely, like a baby- Torch: " -giggles cutely-"

Phoebe:" It's too cute."

Me: "Hehe...maybe."

Rath: "Why don't you go back in your crib? I have to talk to your mommy a little bit."

Rath: "Please excuse us."

Phoebe: "Oh..it's ok Rath."

They went upstairs for awhile, putting Torch back in the crib, leaving just Phoebe and I alone with the baby.

Phoebe: "I want to see if I can hold him again."

Me: "Phoebe don't bother him, he's not your child."

Phoebe: "He is my nephew though."

Me: "Um...sort of...but still."

Phoebe: "Oh fine, but can I atleast look at him?"

Me: "-sighs- ok."

She went over to the crib and peered inside, Torch was snuggling up in the blankets, trying to fall asleep again.

-softly- Phoebe: "Hello little cutey."

-softly- Phoebe: "Awe...he fell asleep again."

Phoebe, somewhat dissapointed the baby had fallen asleep and she couldn't interact with it, came back and sat by me on the couch.

Phoebe: "-sighs- Well, it's just you and me Cj..."

Me: "Mhm."

Another episode of Bad Luck Psyduck was on the tv, though nobody was really watching it.

Phoebe: "So what do you want to do?"

Me: "I don't know."

Me: "By the way honey how long do you want to stay here?"

Phoebe: "Atleast long enough to see Cionna's wedding."

Me: "Ok..."

Me:" But what if it's not for awhile yet?"

Phoebe:"Then I guess we could leave and come back when they have it."

Me: "Ok."

Phoebe: "You got to used to traveling around didn't you?"

Me: "I guess so."

Phoebe: "Awe...Cj..."

Phoebe: "You know we're going to have to stay at home eventually."

Me: "-sighs- I know."

Phoebe: "It will be ok though, because we'll always be together."

Me: "Ah..baby girl, that's so sweet."

We kissed and made out a little until Nina interupted us.

Nina: "Mom...dad?"

-slightly embarassed- Phoebe: "Oh...hehe...Nina..how long were you standing there?"

Nina: "I just came in the room."

Phoebe: "Are you done helping grandma?"

Nina: "Mhm, she said she was just finishing up."

Phoebe:" Oh..ok."

Me: "How are you sweetheart?"

Nina: "I've never had a family before."

Phoebe: "Awe...well you do now."

Nina: "I'm so happy."

Me: "Good..."

Phoebe: "I'm happy too."

Nina: "Why?"

Phoebe: "Because everythings turning out so good."

Rath and Cionna came back down the stairs.

Phoebe: "I was starting to worry about you two."

Rath: "Hehe..what?"

Cionna: "Oh Torch, you fell asleep again.."

Cionna: "Awe well."

Cionna :"He was up most of the night last night."

Phoebe: "How come?"

Cionna: "I was out with Rath, and I came home to find him wide awake in his room.."

Cionna: "He was so scared because I wasn't there."

Phoebe: "Awe...poor thing."

Phoebe: "I feel the same way about Cj sometimes."

-somewhat embarassed- Me: "Honey..."

-awkwardly- Phoebe: "Well I do."

Me: "I don't feel right when you're not around either."

-cutely- Phoebe: "Awe...Cj."

Cionna :"Do you think Rath and I will ever be like you two?"

Phoebe: "What do you mean?"

Cionna: "Well...you too are so close."

Phoebe: "I would hope so, that would be so nice."

Phoebe: "But I know you'll get closer as time passes."

Cionna: "Ok..."

Phoebe: "You do love Rath right?"

Cionna: "Of course."

Phoebe: "Good."

Phoebe: "I just wanted to be sure."

Rath: "And I love her...so yeah."

Phoebe: "Good."

Phoebe:"Oh Cj, I'm sorry to embarass you, but I'm just so happy right now."

Me:"It's allright, you're not embarassing me."

Phoebe:"Really?"

Me:"Yeah...it's ok."

William came back.

Phoebe:"Oh look dad is back."

Rath:"Good..he wasn't late."

William:"Dinner hasn't passed yet has it?"

Phoebe:"No Mom is still cooking."

William:"Good."

Phoebe:"All the guards working?"

William:"Yep...they haven't seen anything suspicious, so it looks like it's going to be another day of peace."

Phoebe:"Good."

Rath:"It's been peaceful for a long time..."

Phoebe:"Hehe...last thing that happened here was your fault anyway."

Rath:"Well...I'm sorry..."

Phoebe:"It's allright, nobody got hurt."

Phoebe:"Anyway..."

Nina:"Gramma says dinner is ready."

Phoebe:"Oh..."

Everyone went into the dining room and sat down at the table, while NIna and Vivian brought out various plates of food. Eventually dinner was over though, and everyone went back into the living room.

Vivian:"So was dinner good?"

William:"Of course honey, it was great."

Nina:"I liked it."

Rath:"Of course mom, it's always good."

Phoebe:"Yeah..it's been so long since I've had one of your meals mom."

Vivian:"Awe...Phoebe."

Me:"If only Phoebe was as good as a chef as you."

-somewhat annoyed- Phoebe:"Cj..."

Me:"Oh honey, I'm just joking around."

Vivian:"Well I tried to teach her, but she was more interested in dancing around.."

Phoebe:"Mom...not you too."

Me: "Hehehe..really?"

Vivian:"Yep..."

William:"Hehe..I remember that."

Vivian:"She looked so cute..."

Me:"She still does."

-embarassed, somewhat upset-Phoebe:"Awe...Cj...stop it.."

Me:"Oh...honey."

Vivian:"Hehehe.."

Phoebe:"Mom..."

Me: "hehehehe."

Vivian:"She never liked it when anyone said she was cute, but she never stops acting cute."

She kicked me.

It didn't hurt that much, but it was enough to terrify Nina.

Nina got scared again.

Nina:"I want to go watch tv again."

Phoebe: "Ok."

Me: "I'll try."

Vivian:"Oh...it's almost time for your favourite show isn't it?"

William:"Yes..I believe it is..."

Me:"What show is that?"

Vivian:"Oh..you'll see."

William:"Rath do you mind if I change the channel?"

Rath:"Um no..we weren't really watching tv."

William:"Ok then."

-working the remote- William:"Now let's see here, I think it was channel 47."

Vivian:"It was 57 dear."

William:"Oh.."

Me:"Are you sure it's on everyday?"

Vivian:"Everyday except for weekends."

Me:"Ok."

Phoebe:"Come on Nina."

Nina:"Ok."

We took spots on the floor, since the couch was getting crowded.

Vivian:"You know William, one of these days we need to get a bigger couch."

William: "I know."
Vivian:"Our family has grown so much bigger."

William:"Mhm."

Rath:"Is Torch still asleep?"

Cionna:"I don't know, I'll go check."

Cionna got up to check on Torch.

Cionna:"Yeah..."

Vivian:"Baby ralts tend to sleep a lot."

Cionna:"It seems like it."

Cionna:"He seems to spend more time asleep then awake."

Vivian:"Yep.. that's normal."

Vivian:"He should be like that until he's atleast a few years old."

Vivian:"And then you'll hardly be able to keep up with him."

Vivian:" Cionna if you ever need advice on raising children you know I'm here for you."

Cionna:"Really?...thanks."

Vivian:"Same goes for you Phoebe."

-cutely- Phoebe:"Awe...Mom..."

Vivian:"I'll even look after him while you're away on your honeymoon if you want."

Cionna:"Awe...thanks, but Phoebe already volunteered."

Vivian:"Really?"

Phoebe:"Um..yeah..I did."

Phoebe:"But Mom if you'd rather...it's ok."

Vivian:"Hmm..I don't know...it would be a good experience for you and Cj, but since both you and Rath moved out, I do get lonely."

Phoebe:"Awe...mom."

Rath:"Really?"

Vivian:"Yeah..."

Vivian:"Maybe you could have him for awhile and then I could?"

Phoebe:"Um...ok.."

William:"I found it."

Me:"Um...you know that's just static right?"

William:"Don't be silly, that's just the intro."

Me:"Um..."

The screen cut to one of those old time countdown things, and then a short scene showing planets flying through space was noticably in black and white, and with the pokeworld's more advanced technology, meant it was even older than the black and white films of the other world. The pokeworld equivalent of copywrite dated the show to 1920. As for the show itself, it was something similiar to the Twilight Zone. In which it told various science fiction and horror stories. The space scene ended with the camera zooming in on a planet, which I assumed was the pokeworld, with the continents looking very different from the other world, into a studio, and finally resting on the title screen for the episode.

"The phantom pokemon."

Given the space themed title screen, it could be assumed that this world was about a century more advanced then the other world, maybe even more so now because of the apocalypse. Given that they apparently had a working knowledge of outerspace in the 1920's, our world seemed to be about 50 years behind theirs. Though space travel was still in its infancy.

The pokeworld had managed to establish colonies in space... on large space stations orbiting the planet and on the moon, but, like our own world, they had yet to be able to visit other planets. It was very possible that our worlds actually existed in the same universe, but it was still unknown. Strangely, the tv show referred to the pokeworld as earth, and mentioned several other planets, that looked similiar to ours, but for some strange reason, had different names. Shockingly, their solar system was very similiar to ours, like a copy almost. As there were 8 planets, or 9 if you counted the one that was similiar to Pluto, with the pokeworld being the third closest to the sun, just like ours. Though the pokeworld was nowhere near a copy of earth, its continents were completely the weather and climate were similiar and, out of pure coincidence, the current year,modern calender system, and language were exactly the same. The main difference is that people had pokemon to help them with technological advancements, which meant that technology was a few decades ahead of the other world. The only things missing were hover cars, and space travel.

Anyway, the episode began with a haunter floating around through a dark hallway. Strangely, in black and white, the haunter looked like it did in the original pokemon games, very dark and creepy.

Anyway the scene changed to two people having a conversation, in none other then lavender town, apparently as popular for ghost stories in its own world as it was in the normal world.

Phoebe:" Oh no, not Lavender town."

Vivian:"Why what's wrong with Lavender town."

Phoebe:"Ugh..mom stop saying it."

William:"What happened in Lavender town?"

Phoebe:"I don't want to talk about it."

William:"Cj?"

He looked at me like I had harmed her or something.

Me:"We got attacked by a crazy zombie who tried to eat everyone in the town."

William:"You're kidding?"

Me:"No...and we had to go through all these catacombs and...yeah."

Me:"It wasn't a very pleasent experience for either of us."

Phoebe:"Mhm."

Nina:"What are catacombs?"

Me:"It's like a graveyard."

Nina:"What's a graveyard?"

Me: "It's where they put dead people."

-grossed out- Nina:"Ewwww."

Phoebe:"Hehehe,No kidding."

Me:"It was also one of the countless times where Phoebe saved my life."

-cutely- Phoebe:"Awe...Cj."

The conversation the people were having turned until the sun went down, and then they both left the small shop they were in and headed home. One of them had to walk by the pokemon tower, with only the streetlights to guide him.

Phoebe:"Oh great, there's that wretched tower."

Phoebe:"Nina you probably shouldn't be watching this."

Nina:"But mom..."

Phoebe:"I don't want to watch this either.."

Me:"Honey it's just a tv show."

Phoebe:"I know, but it reminds me too much of that evil place."

Vivian:"Oh Phoebe...come on..."

Phoebe:"Nina go upstairs, I don't want you to get nightmares."

Phoebe:"You can take your dolls with you."

Nina:"Ok."

Rath:"Aren't those your dolls, I thought I broke them?"

Phoebe:"You did..but mom made new ones for me and since I'm too old to play with them I gave them to Nina."

Rath:"Oh...ok."

Rath:"I wondered why they were in front of the tv."

Nina gathered up her dolls into the box, and headed upstairs.

The haunter slowly crept behind the man as he walked past the graveyard.

-scared- Phoebe:"Oh Cj, I can't look."

She snuggled me.

Me:"allright then."

Phoebe:"Tell me when it's over."

Me:"Ok."

Cionna: "I never thought you could be so scared Phoebe."

Phoebe:"Well now you know."

The haunter came up behind the guy, and grabbed him, then the screen cut to black and the episode skipped to the next day.

Me:"Um, it's over."

Phoebe:"Ok."

Me:"Nothing really happened."

Phoebe:"Oh...ok."

The episode resumed with the other guy leaving for work, he kisses his wife goodbye and walks out the door. While at work he discovers his friend hasn't shown up, and hasn't called in sick. Unaware of what really happened, he continues through his work day.

Vivian:"This reminds me of that old house in eterna forrest."

Phoebe:"Really?"

Vivian:"Yeah, it's supposed to be haunted, but I didn't see any ghostswhen I was there."

Vivian:"But that was a long time ago, that house has probably rotted into dust."

Me:"Sounds like a cool place to visit though."

Vivian:"Your father actually considered buying it as a secondary house."

William:"Well it seemed like a good idea at the time, until we discovered it was infested with gastlys and in extremely poor condition."

Me:"Can't the ghastly's be held accountable for the ghost sightings?"

Vivian:"Maybe some, but the myth is supposed to mean human ghosts, not little flying balls of gas that are rumored to be the ghost of pokemon."

William:"Gastlys are more of a pest than a pokemon really, they inhabit old buildings, and can be dangerous if you're not careful."

Vivian:"Which is why I want you two to promise me you'll never let Nina go near there."

Phoebe:"Of course mom."

Vivian:"I know you and Cj can handle it, but Nina is just to young and naive."

Me:"You know that house does seem pretty cool to check out."

Phoebe:"Um...I don't know Cj."

Me:"What? Are you scared?"

Phoebe:"A little."

Me:"Honey..it's just a house, it's nothing compared to..."

Phoebe:"Don't you dare say the name of that place."

Me:"Allright...but you know what I was going to say."

Phoebe:"Fine I'll go with you, but if anything happens we're leaving that place immediately, understand?"

Me:"Mhm."

Phoebe:"Mom would you be willing to look after Nina while we're gone."

VIvian:"Sure.."

Phoebe:"Ok good."

Phoebe:"We'll go tomorrow then."

Me:"Ok."

Phoebe:"Oh great, there's that haunter again."

Phoebe:"It looks like he turned that guy into a zombie."

Me:"Yep."

Vivian:"Awe...poor guy."

William:"How revolting."

Cionna:"Eww.."

Rath:"He's dead.."

The rest of the episode went as follows, every night the haunter kidnapped someone passing by the graveyard, and they went missing the next day, the haunter turned the people into zombies, and then after amassing a fair amount of zombies, it launched an attack on the town. Of course, some trainers showed up to fight the zombies, with a few cubones, oddishes, and other small, common pokemon. Then the haunter spoke, which in real life was something not just every ghost pokemon could do.

-on tv- Haunter:"As you capture pokemon and use them to battle, I capture humans and use them to battle."

William:"Haunters can talk?"

Vivian:"I don't think so dear, I think it's one of those things that you only see on tv."

Phoebe:"Actually mom, some ghost pokemon can talk, but only some."

Vivian: "Oh really?"

Phoebe:"We fought against a Gengar once that could talk."

Me:"Yep."

Vivian:"Hmm...ok."

Phoebe:"He was a little crazy."

Me: "Yeah..."

Cionna:"Really? When was that?"

Phoebe:"Oh...I don't think you've ever met him."

Phoebe:"Ahwell, it's ok."

Me:"Yeah."

The trainers unsuccessfully fought against the zombies, only for their own pokemon to get turned into zombies, making the entire problem worse. They held up in the pokemon center until morning, which was when the Haunter's power was weakened and all the zombies retreated to the graveyard. This part of the episode was completely innacurate, as ghost pokemon are just as strong in daytime as they are in the night, however, gastlys were weakened by strong winds. Anyway, the surviving trainers set out to explore the graveyard, and found the zombies lying dead inside an old mausoleum. The barricaded the masoleum so when the haunter came back at night, the zombies would not be able to escape. This action ticked off the haunter and caused it to raise even more zombies from the graves, both human and pokemon. Even though they were far weaker then the freshly killed ones trapped in the mausoleum.

-grossed out- Phoebe and Cionna:"Ewwwwwww."

This time the trainers were able to fight off the zombies, as they fell apart easily. Only for haunter to reconstruct them as a giant monster.

Phoebe:"That's just wrong."

Me:"Yeah..."

Cionna:"Yuck."

Rath:"Dad how can you watch this, it looks so cheap."

William:"Well, most of the episodes are better than this one, and don't involve zombies at all."

Rath:"Oh..."

The monster broke open the mausoleum, and a herd of zombies came rushing out.

The trainers fled in terror. but one of them stayed behind, and, armed solely with a squirtle, attacked the haunter with water gun.

-on tv- trainer:"Squirtle attack with water gun."

-on tv- Haunter:"You will pay for that."

The haunter sent his zombies to attacks the trainer, who immediately grabbed his squirtle and ran away, only for a gengar to that his mausoleum had been destroyed. Implying that the gengar was the ghost of whoever was burried in the mausoleum.

-on tv- Gengar:"Who destroyed my grave?"

-on tv- Trainer:"Um...it wasn't me, it was him."

-on tv- Gengar:"Ok...thanks."

-on tv- Gengar:"Excuse me sir, but you seem to have destroyed my grave."

-on tv- Haunter: "What?"

-on tv- Gengar:"You know in the underworld they have harsh penalties for such disrespect."

-on tv- Haunter:"So, this isn't the underworld."

-on tv-Gengar:"Yes...I know that, but, there seems to be a bit of a mistake at the office."

-on tv-Gengar:"You weren't actually assigned to haunt this cemetary, I was."

-on tv- Haunter: "But...my plans."

-on tv- Gengar:"It doesn't matter, you're supposed to report to the underworld immediately."

-on tv- Haunter:"No.."

Several gengar appeared out of nowhere and surrounded the haunter. All the zombies fell dead once again, and the giant zombie monster fell to pieces.

The gengar dragged the haunter into the ground, never to be seen again.

-on tv- Gengar:"-sighs- Great, not to mention we have too many souls now that died before their time."

Many more ghost appeared, all of the people who the haunter had killed.

-on tv- Gengar:"There are your bodies, go back inside, see you in a awhile or so."

Another ghost appeard, this one was a duskull that was holding a scythe, and the only hoen pokemon to appear in the entire episode. It read the names of the people the Haunter had killed, and each time he read one of their names, their body was healed, and they were brought back to life.

The episode ended with all the newly revived people leaving the graveyard, having little to no memory of what had happened.

Then it cut to the credits, naming several actors, trainers, and pokemon that appeared in the episode.

Rath: "That ending didn't make any sense."

Me:"I know, is that gengar supposed to be the devil or something?"

Phoebe:"No, he's the dead guy the mausoleum was built for."

Me:"And also the devil.

William:"I don't think it made much sense either."

William:"Anyway, there's another episode on after this one if you want to see it."

Phoebe:"As long as it doesn't involve anymore zombies."

William:"Ok well we'll see."

The credits came to and end, and the next episode started with the same intro sequence, the tv went to static, then the countdown again, then a black screen, then to the beginning of the space scene. Anyway, after all that the title screen came up.

Phoebe:"I'm going to go check on Nina."

Me:"Ok."

Cionna:"While you're up could you make sure torch is still asleep?"

Phoebe:"Yeah..sure."

-softly- Phoebe:"Yeah...he's still asleep."

Cionna:"Ok, good."

Phoebe headed upstairs the check on Nina, she was innocently playing with her dolls in Phoebe's room.

Phoebe:"Oh hello Nina."

Nina:"Hi mommy."

Phoebe:"Why are you in my room?"

-cutely- Nina:"I like your room the best..."

Phoebe:"Oookaaay."

Phoebe:"You didn't go messing around in other rooms did you?"

Nina:"No..."

Phoebe:"Good."

Phoebe:"Well, you keep playing around ok?"

Nina: "Ok."

Phoebe:"I'll tell you when you can come back downstairs."

Nina:"Ok."

Phoebe came back down the stairs, the next episode had already started. The title screen said, "the ultimate pokemon", and started out in Cinnabar inside a laboratory, this film would have been made before the volcano erupted, and even before the laboratory was destroyed. The copyright year was 1950, so it was a bit newer then the episode that aired before it, and you could see the advancements made because this one was in full color, with the quality equivalent to that of a 1980s movie in the other world. Indicating that color had been around for awhile and the previous episode must have been either intentionally filmed in black and white, or made on a low budget with old technology.

The episode started with a narrator giving a basic introduction of what porygon was.

Porygon was featured heavily in this episode, although because it was only a concept in that time, and thus didn't actually exist yet, they used fake Cgi generated ones on camera, though the design looked the same. The first few minutes of the episode reminded me of the documentary we saw on porygon's creation a while back.

Narrator:"Porygon, the world's first artificial pokemon, created in a laboratory on Cinnabar Island."

Actually the first was Missingno, but I doubt they wanted to mention that little mishap.

Narrator:"This pokemon is very unique."

Narrator:"Unlike other pokemon, porygon exist in a digital field."

Narrator:" Thus it can defy the laws of physics."

Narrator:"It can float in the air, and glow even in the darkest of caves."

Narrator:"Without actually giving off any light."

A model of porygon was seen against a black background, floating in the air.

Narrator:"It can use many different attacks, some of which only it can learn."

Narrator:"For instance, it can change its type on a wim."

Narrator:"And make its body sharper."

It showed porygon using conversion and sharpen attacks.

Narrator:"It is heavily copy-protected, so only Silph Co can make them here at the Cinnabar Laboratory."

Narrator:" Using a process which allows computer programs to exist in the real world, the process is a heavily guarded secret."

Narrator:"Though it is rumored to use similiar technology to the pokemon storage system."

narrator: "Although porygon does have it's limitations."

Narrator:"It can only react to certain commands, and it's interactions are very limited."

Narrator:"Anyway, here we are at Cinnabar labs, where a young scientist is working hard at developing a different artificial pokemon."

Narrator:" One that will be able to think for itself."

Narrator: "And potentially be even more versatile than porygon."

The rest of the episode went as follow, the scientist suceeded in creating a more advanced porygon, one that could think for itself, unfortunately, this led to it becoming an unstopable monster that almost destroyed the lab, ironically, the lab was destroyed and abandoned in real life,awhile after this episode was created, but not by an experimental porygon. Anyway, they stopped the monster, but only by deleting its data, as well as all the work the scientist had done.

Phoebe:"Awe, that was sad."

Rath:"Haven't they heard of porygon 2?"

Phoebe:"Rath, this show was made before porygon 2 even existed."

Rath:"Oh."

Rath: "Yeah..I forgot."

William:"Wasn't Cinnabar destroyed by a volcano years ago?"

Phoebe:"Yeah, but they rebuilt it."

William:"I thought so."

Phoebe:"It's a nice place, way better then Lavender Town."

Rath:"You've been there?"

Phoebe:"Mhm, Cj and I have been all over kanto."

Vivian: "They even have eight badges."

Rath:"Really?"

Phoebe:"Mhm..I just got my eigth badge earlier today."

William:"That's great."

Cionna:"So you're still a trainer huh Phoebe?"

Phoebe:"Mhm."

CIonna:"You still have your old team?"

Phoebe:"Yep."

Phoebe:"But I haven't used them in awhile, I wanted to keep things fair for the kanto region."

Cionna:"Ok.."
Cionna: "Phoebe I need to talk to you for a second."

Cionna:"Excuse us please."

Phoebe:"Um ok..."

-quietly-Me:"Be careful sweety."

-quietly- Phoebe:"It's going to be allright Cj."

They went into the other room.

Vivian:"How long have they known eachother?"

Me:"Uh...we go back pretty far actually."

Vivian:"Ok."

-in the other room-

Phoebe:"What do you want to say Cionna?"

Cionna:"Look, Phoebe, Rath doesn't know I used to be a glaceon."

Cionna:"Or that...we uh...had that thing."

Phoebe:"I'm not going to tell him."

Phoebe:"You can trust me."

Cionna:"Good."

Cionna:"But what about Cj?"

Phoebe:"He's not going to say anything either, he's too shy."

Cionna:"Ok."

Phoebe: "I'm happy for you, Cionna, I really am."

Cionna:"Thanks."

Torch teleported in, and immediately crawled towards Cionna, somewhat confused about what just happened, as it was one of the first times he had ever teleported.

Cionna:"Awe...Torch how do you keep getting out?"

Phoebe:"I think he just teleported that time."

-cutely- Phoebe:"Awe...he's growing up."

-cutely, like a baby-Torch:"I found you again mommy."

Cionna:"Yes...you found me."

Cionna:"How do you keep getting out of your crib?"

-cutely, like a baby- Torch:"I dunno ."

Cionna:"-sighs- you need to stay inside, ok?"

-cutely, like a baby- Torch:"k mommy."

She picked him up.

Cionna:"That's all I wanted to say, let's go back now."

Phoebe:"Allright."

They both came back into the room.

Cionna:"Rath, Torch woke up."

Cionna:"And he got out of his crib again."

Rath:"Awe...really?"

Cionna:"Mhm."

She kissed Torch gently before putting him back in his crib.

Cionna:"You go back to sleep ok?"

-cutely, like a baby- Torch:"K mommy I wuv you."

Cionna:"Awe...I love you too."

Vivian:"I think he must be starting to learn how to teleport."

Phoebe:" I think so to, because it looked like he just came out of nowhere and it would explain how he got out of his crib so easily."

Vivian:"Has he been feeling ok recently?"

Cionna:"Yeah..he's been ok, he sometimes complains that his head hurts though."

Vivian:"That means his psyhorn is about to grow in."

Vivian:"And after that his powers will be fully developed, and you'll have to be really careful with him to keep him out of trouble."

Cionna: "Ok."

Vivian:"He might cry a little bit because it hurts, but it will be ok."

Cionna:"Ok."

Vivian:"It's just like when his teeth grew in."

Cionna:"Oh..that was a bad week."

Cionna:"He wouldn't stop crying."

Cionna: "And then he bit me."

Vivian:"Hehe..yeah, that happens."

Vivian:"But after it's done growing the pain will stop, and he'll go back to normal, except he'll be able to use his powers more extensively."

Cionna:"Ok."

Vivian:"It will be allright, I'll help you through it."

Cionna:"Thanks."

Vivian:"But it is very important at that stage for them to learn to control their powers."

Vivian:"Otherwise some very crazy things could happen."

Vivian:"it might be wise to make him wear a power bracelet now though."

Vivian:"Since he apparently is able to teleport out of his crib without meaning to."

Torch then appeared on the couch, once again very confused, he almost fell off.

Cionna:"Torch what are you doing?"

-cutely, like a baby- Torch:"I'm sorwy mommy I dunno what happening."

Vivian:"I'm going to go see if we still have an old power bracelet around for him."

Cionna:"Ok."

Cionna picked him up.

She went into the kitchen. Torch looked at Phoebe for a moment.

-cutely- Phoebe:"Awe...hi you little cutey."

-cutely, like a baby- Torch:"Helwo."

Vivian:"I found one."

She came out of the kitchen.

Vivian:"It's Phoebe's old one."

Phoebe:"Awe...I hated that thing."

Vivian:"Here little guy, you want a present?"

-cutely, like a baby- Torch:"Um...I dunno."

Vivian:"It will keep you from teleporting around."

Vivian:"Just give me your hand."

-cutely, like a baby- Torch:"Um...mommy?"

Cionna: "It's ok Torch, we're trying to help you."

-cutely, like a baby- Torch:"Um...ok."

She slipped bracelet onto his tiny wrist. Cionna got up and placed him back in his crib.

Vivian:"Don't take it off ok?"

-cutely, like a baby- Torch:"Ok."

He cutely nodded his head.

Cionna:"Now go back to sleep Torch, we'll see you in the morning."

-cutely, like a baby- Torch:"Ok...my head hurts."

Vivian:"I think we have some medicine for that."

Vivian went back into the kitchen, and returned with a small bottle of fluid.

Vivian:"Here, this will help reduce the pain, and it will help him sleep."

Cionna:"It won't hurt him will it?"

Vivian:"No...it doesn't taste very good though."

She poured a little bit of the medicine into a small cup, and handed the cup to Torch.

Vivian:"Drink this, it will help."

He took the cup, and grimaced a little bit as the liquid entered his mouth.

-cutely, like a baby- Torch:"It's yucky."

Vivian:"I know, but it will help you, just drink it."

Reluctantly, he drank it all, and Vivian took the cup back.

Vivian:"There you go...now go to sleep."

He cuddled up in the blankets and tried to sleep, then they returned to the couch.

Phoebe:"What time is it?"

Vivian:"Um..I think it's about 7."

Phoebe:"Ok."

Rath: "Did he go to sleep?"

Cionna:"Well he's trying."

Rath: "Good."

They kissed.

William:" My show is over, now some other show came on."

Vivian:"What is this one about?"

Phoebe:"I haven't really figured it out.."

Me: "It's about a giant tyranitar attacking a city."

Yes, it was the pokemon version of godzilla.

Vivian:"Oh dear...what city?"

Phoebe:"I don't know, it hasn't said yet."

Vivian:"Hmm...ok."

It later turned out to be Goldenrod City.

Anyway, we watched that movie for awhile, as it got late, Rath and Cionna left taking Torch and the crib with them.

Vivian:"Goodnight Rath..."

Rath:"Goodnight."

They walked out the door, carefully carrying the crib, with Torch still sleeping inside.

Phoebe:"Cj I think it's time we put Nina to bed too."

Me:"Ok."

Vivian:"Yeah, it's getting late, I think we're going to head upstairs, before your father falls asleep on the couch again, goodnight you two."

Phoebe:"Goodnight mom."

Me:"Goodnight."

Vivian:" Come on William."

William:"Huh..what?"

William:"Oh sorry, I think I dozed off."

Vivian:It's allright, let's go to bed."

WIlliam:"Oh...ok."

Phoebe:"Hehe...Daddy.."

Phoebe and I went upstairs to put Nina to bed. She was having an imaginary party with her dolls.

Phoebe:"Having fun Nina?"

Nina:"Mhm...Hi mom."

Phoebe:"Well, it's time for you to go to bed."

Nina:"But where should I go?"

Phoebe:"I guess you can sleep in my room tonight, Your father and I will be in the guest room down the hall if you need us ok?"

Nina:"Ok."

Nina:"What about grandma and grandpa?"

Phoebe:"Oh...they'll be sleeping in their room on the top floor, but I don't want you going up there by yourself ok?"

Nina:"Ok."

Phoebe:"This house is a big place and you could easily get lost."

Nina:"Ok mom."

Phoebe:"Here, let's pick up all your dolls, then you need to get to bed."

They picked up all the dolls together.

Phoebe:"Ok, now goodnight sweety."

Nina:"Goodnight Mama."

She kissed her goodnight.

Me:"Goodnight sweetheart."

Nina:"Goodnight daddy."

Phoebe:"We love you."

Nina:"I love you too..both of you."

Me:"We'll see you in the morning."

Nina:"Ok."

After that we left the room, and quietly closed the door.

Phoebe:"-sighs- Cj I just realised we left all our stuff in the car."

Me:"Oh..yeah, we did."

Phoebe:"-sighs- I'll go get it, you go to the guest room and wait for me."

Me:"Ok."

She left the house and came back a few minutes later with our suitcase. I was already in bed. She quietly changed into her nightgown and got in bed beside me.

Phoebe:"Goodnight Cj, I love you."

Me:"I love you too baby girl."

We kissed, then she snuggled up to me, turned out the lights, and we both fell asleep a while later.
