Chapter THIRTY-THREE: Problems

A few minutes later, the Doctor, Madame Vastra, Jenny and Strax were walking around the scene at the front line. Since it was their first time in Storybrooke, Madame Vastra and Jenny, but mainly Jenny, was walking around in in curiousity.

"So, this is Storybrooke?" Jenny asked.

"Yes," the Doctor said, looking around the scene, starting to hear sirens wail in the distance, and waving his sonic screwdriver around. "Well, the town line of it." He went up to where Mr Gold, Belle and the Professor were. "What happened?"

"Belle - she crossed over the town line," Mr Gold said. "She's sleeping at the moment..."

The Doctor inspected Belle. "And her shoulder has a bullet wound..."

Mr Gold looked at it and magically fixed her wound. "All better..."

As soon as Mr Gold fixed the wound, Emma, David and Mary Margaret showed up and exited the Sheriff car. They all got out and walked around. Emma looked around the scene and noted everything into her cell phone. "I'm at the town line ... Two people down. Maybe three." She went over to the car of the outsider. "There's a car pretty banged up with ... Pennsylvania plates..."

While Emma was off noting everything, David and Mary Margaret went over to the group of people around Belle and Mr Gold. "What's going on?" David asked.

"She crossed over the town line. She doesn't remember," Mr Gold said.

The Doctor did a quick scan of Belle with his sonic screwdriver. He read the readings and said, "Well, according to this, her memories should still be intact..." the Doctor said. "She still remembers you Rumple."

Mr Gold looked up in shock at the Professor. "You lied to me? Why?"

"To make Hook think that he had finally won. But in order for him to think that, you had to think that too," the Professor said, looking over his shoulder at a barely conscious Hook, with Strax by his side. "At the moment, Hook thinks he has won. And if he dies, he'll die a happy man. We just have to keep this ruse up..."

"For how long?" Mr Gold asked again.

"Til he dies, or til he gets better so we can take him to another place where he can't hurt anyone else ever again..."

Over to where Hook was, Strax took his medical gadget out and started to use it on Hook. Hook slowly gained conscious, and looked at Strax, but winced at the pain he was currently in.

"Try not to move, Human Scum," Strax said. "Your ribcage is badly damaged."

"That must be why it hurts when I laugh. Did you see his face? His one true love gone in an instant!" Hook exclaimed, loud enough so Mr Gold could hear, which he did. Mr Gold stood up and approached Hook, who attempted to get up again. "Just like Milah, Crocodile - when you took her from me!"

"But you took her first," Mr Gold said, kicking Hook back down again.

David and Emma both followed Mr Gold. "Gold, are you insane?!" Emma asked.
"Yes, I am!" Mr Gold said, as he started to strangle Hook with his cane.

"This is taking it too far," David said, trying to pull Mr Gold off Hook.

"Well, I'm a stranger to Belle."

"Murder is a bad first impression," Emma said, as an ambulance approached, sirens blaring loudly.

This made Mr Gold distracted, which made it easier for David to force him away from Hook. He went back to where the Doctor and the Professor were. "Bit much?" He asked.

"A little bit, yeah," the Doctor said.

David instructed the paramedics to Hook. "Over here!" He called out.

But Emma saw someone in the crashed car. "Go, to him," she said to the Paramedic, pointing to the car that arrived into Storybrooke. "Take care of him. He can wait."

"What?" Mary Margaret asked, walking up to her family.

"There's someone in there. Do you know this guy?" Emma asked her parents.

"Never seen him before."

"That's because he drove into town," David said.

"From the outside?" Mary Margaret asked.

"Looks like the world just came to Storybrooke," Emma said.

A while later, while everyone had arrived at the Storybrooke Hospital, and starting to fuss over the stranger, Mr Gold was standing in the doorway of Belle's room. Belle was sleeping on the bed. He slowly approached her and bent down over her, kissing her. Belle started to wake up - her eyes fluttering - and smiled at him. "Hello Rumple..." she said softly.

"Belle..." Mr Gold said softly.

"The ring ... it worked..."

"I know. The Doctor and the Professor are quite remarkable."

"So, is the trip still on?"

"Yes. We'll go when you are discharged."
