"So... Like... ya know..."
Kushina didn't know what to say as she sat, alive, again in a room with her now alive husband, and the godfather of her son Jiraiya. She had died, sacrificed her life to bring Naruto into the world as safely as she could... and here she was, finally alive to be able to take part in his life again. Whatever jutsu that Sasuke had used to bring them back to life had restored her to the state she had been in before she had even been pregnant, which was good for her. Though, Sasuke had died shortly after bringing them back to life, and Naruto was gone burying Sasuke's body right now to pay him his final respects as a fellow shinobi.
"I'm surprised too... I mean, and alien... and Naruto mastered Sage Mode AND the Kyuubi's power... he's really surpassed us." Minato spoke with a pride filled voice.
Jiraiya was surprisingly silent.
'... It took me my entire life, and I never mastered Senjutsu the way Naruto has... and he even gained a higher form of Senjutsu... looking at him, it could only have been months since I died... I should have trained him in Senjutsu so much sooner.' Jiraiya thought to himself. He didn't know what to do with the fact he was alive again, since he had actually been pretty satisfied with his death. He had placed all of his affairs in order, said his goodbyes for the most part, and imparted a final lesson onto his student. He didn't have anything left he wanted, or needed, to do.
Yami was silent, but she was silent most of the time.
If anything, she was just waiting for Naruto to get back.
"I mean... my baby boy... to me, he was born yesterday. Now here he is, all grown up. We missed so much of his life. We didn't even get to raise him like parents. What if he resents us for not being there for him? I never even got the memories back from the chakra I left inside of him." Kushina worried herself as she ran her hands nervously through her hair. Minato sat next to him, and pushed her hands into her lap, before he smiled at her.
He didn't get the memories back from his chakra either, to be honest.
"Naruto doesn't resent either of you. He's going to beat you up though." Yami looked at Jiraiya.
Jiraiya rubbed his nose with a grin.
"Yeah, I've earned that much." Jiraiya had gone off and died, fighting a fight he knew he was going to die fighting. Naruto must have been devastated by the loss, but he had to wonder who this girl was to Naruto. He knew most of Naruto's friends, and he had never seen this girl before. So either she was somebody who appeared after he died, or Naruto had some secrets he was keeping.
Kushina smiled softly.
"He loves you all very much." Yami looked at Kushina.
Ah, it would seem that Naruto had inherited his mother's face and smile. Yami could not stop herself from seeing Naruto's face when Kushina gave her a dazzling smile, everything about their faces was close to the same. All that was different was the fact that Naruto's face was a little more of a masculine version of her face. They had the exact same eyes though, except in color, he had his father's eye color.
Minato sighed in relief.
Kushina was whipping happy tears out of her eyes.
"I man, the rain in here sure sucks." Kushina lied to protect her own pride. It was a horrible lie, but nobody had the guts that it would take to call her on it. Yami, as surprising as it was, smiled to herself when she saw where Naruto got his personality. Also, the lie was really bad, something that she would expect out of Naruto. Kushina finished wiping the tears from her eyes, before she looked at Yami. "... So... you're an alien... and you're travelling with my son... through the universe... alone." Kushina stared off as she tried to make any form of opinion on the girl.
She felt a lot of things.
She felt protective, because she never got to adjust to Naruto growing up and becoming his own person. She felt angry and jealous that this girl was able to see her son for longer than she herself had. She also felt happy, happy that Naruto had somebody to call such a good friend. She was confused at her being an alien, yet looking so human. She was also curious as to the relationship between the two teenagers.
Jiraiya looked at her with a lecherous grin.
Yami was blushing the blush of a young maiden in love, he could recognize the signs of a girl who had fallen for his student from a mile away at this point.
"Yes, I'm an alien, with your son." Yami have no information that could be used against her.
Kushina judged her.
'She's so in love.' Minato gave a nod of approval for the relationship, if he was guessing right. It was up to Naruto to decide who he fell in love with, and as his father, it was up to him to trust Naruto to pick a good girl. He wasn't some parent who would try and force his son to love a pre-approved girl, or make Naruto stick to some rule about a girl having certain traits. "So, how did you two meet?"
That question.
Perhaps the most incriminating question they could have asked.
"... I'm an assassin... and I was paid to kill him."
"Hah! Figures that Naruto could get even assassins to love him. He's always been charming, just like his master. He's quite the charming assassin charmer, getting a little thing like you." Jiraiya laughed loud enough that before Kushina could lash out at Yami for trying to murder Naruto, the red haired woman looked at Jiraiya with surprise at the loud laugh. "Anyway, Kushina, you do realize that you have bigger fish to fry than worry about this one, right? Like the fact that you're mentally and physically still 24 years old, same with you Minato." Jiraiya pointed out to Minato and Kushina.
Both froze.
They died when they were 24, and they hadn't aged either physically or mentally in the years they had been dead. Yet, there newborn son had spent the last 17+ years without them, growing, aging, and experiening a life without them. What was more, the fact that Naruto was 17, and they were only 24, put their status as his parents into question since there was such a small age gap between them.
'How am I going to be a parent to a 17 year old, when I have NO experience with parenting?' Kushina pulled on her hair harshly as she looked at the floor with a jaw dropping when the realization hit her.
What even was her parental status right now?
"My son has about as much life experience as I do... I didn't even get to experience being a Dad and raising a baby. Hey, Kushina-"
"I'm not having another baby... I just spent 10 months being pregnant, and it was the most stressful day of my life. Anyway, we still have to support Naruto. So what if we haven't been good parents for the last... his entire life..." Kushina depressed herself, much to Jiraiya's amusement. Minato pat her shoulder, though he was a little amused by his wife as well.
The ground rumbled.
The sky started to grow dark outside.
"How is it getting dark on a planet with no night... and no moons..." Yami blinked and walked towards the window. The planet had literally no way, other than clouds, to give any form of shade.
There was a moon rising into the sky, across a vast distance they could see a moon being pulled out of the planet. Parts of the very planet were being used to make up the massive moon that was blocking out the sun. Yami was surprised when her mind started to think about what this would be like for the planet, since the orbit of this moon was going to be blocking out one of the suns. That would give this planet a day and night cycle, as well as cool down part of the planet. Also, there was the concern that there was a moon rising into the sky out of nowhere.
Naruto walked in with a grim smile on his face.
'Sacrificing an arm to give Sasuke a proper burial... I'm fine with that.' Naruto thought to himself as he looked at the stump of a right arm he had. He had used the symbol on his right hand, combined with the symbol Sasuke had on his left hand, to place the seal they carried on Sasuke's body. With both hands touching, Naruto had been able to create a moon that would forever serve as Sasuke's grave. That way, whenever Naruto wanted to visit the grave, he just had to come to this planet. Of course, considering the fact that he had not accounted for the fact that the gravity of the new moon being so great that it ripped whatever was touching Sasuke's body off (his arm) he was feeling pretty lucky he only lost an arm.
"Naruto! Are you okay, who did this to you!?" Kushina rushed over to Naruto, and he smiled at her as she worried over his only slightly bleeding arm.
Thankfully, the wound had healed over, so he was in no danger of bleeding out.
"... Idiot." Yami muttered when she saw Naruto's dumb grin.
The grin he gave when he did something stupid.
"Idiot, how did you do this to yourself?" Jiraiya asked when he saw the wound. Naruto walked by Jiraiya, and he gave his mother a quick hug as he passed her, before he fist bumped his father in the chest. Naruto didn't talk to any of them as he passed them by though. Instead, he chose to walk towards Yami, looking down at her with a serious look.
"... We all have a lot of catching up to do... but first, I have a promise to keep. Eve, you confessed to me... and now I'm going to give you your answer." Naruto told the red faced girl. Naruto didn't say anything else at first, and he put on his best thinking face. Everyone else looked with adamant attention as Naruto considered what he was going to say to Yami.
Wait, did he just call her Eve?
She, Yami, didn't know if she could talk if she wanted to right now when he dropped her real name to show how important this was.
He looked like he was thinking really hard about this, which didn't mean anything good for-
Naruto grabbed her shoulder and leaned down to kiss her, deciding that no words would be able to put the point across well enough. So, Naruto showed everything through his actions as he put his feelings into the kiss. Kushina covered her mouth and squealed when she saw her son kiss a girl, so happy that she was alive to see the moment that Naruto gave his love to somebody.
Jiraiya's jaw dropped, with Minato giving a nod.
When the kiss ended, Yami opened the eyes she hadn't realized she closed.
"... That's your answer?" Yami asked him, and he grinned.
"Yep, you're been with me during the hardest months of my life. When I was burying Sasuke, I thought about you the entire time, and tried to think about what I felt about you. Did my actions get across?" Naruto questioned her with a wide, charming, stupid, happy, Naruto smile that heated up her already red cheeks. Yami looked away from him, a small smirk gracing her features.
She liked his answer.
