Hey guys! I was totally not expecting to update this tonight honestly, but my sugar plum and I have been RPing this crossover thing we're planning to write one of these years and it got me in the Yugioh mood and then I was like "I gotta write SS!" so that's what happened.
I started my YYH story! It's called Jeweled Eruption. It's kick ass! I hope to update that soon! Although, I do need to update Ambrosia...hmm I'll try to do that tomorrow then. Of course I have to deal with SS (Social Services) tomorrow because they're being dicks again. *sigh*

Summary:
Moments away from destroying Zorc, Yami hesitates, asking Horakhty if she can set Bakura free. She agrees, telling Yami that in order for him to pass into the afterlife, he must break his enemy of the darkness, and he only as a year to do so.
Chapter Thirty-seven: Played
[Marik's POV]:
Maniacal laughter that chills even the toughest and ruthless to the bone. Zorc makes my best friend's face look like some hideous creature the way he smirks and sneers at us when he has his precious victory. It makes my skin crawl and my blood boil. I hate this. I hate that I can't do a damn thing to save my friend!
No matter what Yami does, he'll still lose. I don't care if my soul gets sacrificed it's Bakura's I'm worried about. Whether Yami attacks or doesn't, Bakura's soul is still on the line because this is the last month he has in order to save him.
Bakura was doing so well. He had opened up and truly became happy. When he first woke up, he told me that he wanted to exact his revenge on Yami and make him pay for making him suffer. In order to do this, he was going to make the former Pharaoh fall in love with him, but now Bakura has fallen in love. The part of him that has hated Yami all this time took control and manifested into Zorc, now he's trapped in his own pain, being forced to watch unconsciously as his body is used to destroy the only person who truly loves him for him.
I look over at Bakura. The Shadow Beasts growl and snarl in the thick smog surrounding the area of the arena. They glare at me with their red eyes. I glare right back. I wished that Yami wouldn't have destroyed the Items. I'd blast those fools right off the platform with the Rod!
As far as life points go Yami is in the league, so Bakura still has most of his body except some of his left arm that was given to the Shadow Beast to feast on a few turns back. I can't imagine how Yami must have felt when that occurred. Seeing someone that you love be in danger because of your own actions has to be beyond painful. But, if he doesn't attack Zorc will win and completely take over Bakura's body. When that happens, Horakhty will no doubt come down and completely destroy Zorc taking Bakura in the process. We can't let that happen.
'I know you can do this, Yami.'

[Yugi's POV]:
Although Yami technically has the upper hand because of Slifer being on the field, he is beyond terrified. He's terrified because now Zorc has all seven Millennium Items on the field. Not to mention he has Dark Diabound and several trap cards. While they won't affect Slifer they will protect his monsters and the Items will aid Zorc well in this duel.
The Eye allows Zorc to see all of my yami's cards. The Key allows Zorc to detect hidden monsters, so using cards like Magical Hats won't work. The Rod allows him to steal monsters, the Ring allows him to trap monsters and seal them away for up to three turns. When Yami has a God, like Slifer, on the field Zorc takes our monsters instead. The Scales combines any monster-whether compatiable in normal cases or not, such as Dark Magican Girl and Doom Cailber Knight. Now we just have two more Items to get onto the field: the Puzzle and the Necklace. The Necklace will be obvious as it can do, but I'm not so sure about the Puzzle.
"First, I'll begin my turn by taking a monster from one of your bitch's decks. I think I'll take Kaiba's Blue-eyes White Dragon." Zorc says. He activates the Ring.
"Like hell I'm going to let you get my monster!" the CEO hisses. "Blue-eyes-"
He stops mid sentence. Yami and Kaiba's eyes are locked. Even though Yami and I no longer share a mindlink, I can still feel his unwavering determination. He has something planned. Kaiba never says a word or acknowledges he understands.
"It's lovely how you're flirting with the Priest over there, Pharaoh. I'll be sure to tell Bakura that his cock wasn't big enough to satisfy you." Zorc cackles.
Yami turns back to Zorc. "Believe me, Bakura is more than enough to please me. Now then, make your move." He snaps.
"Watch that attitude, I might have to burn it."
"Then do it."
Zorc smirks. "Blue-eyes White Dragon come to me." He says. The dragon roars as its sucked into the Ring. "Now I'll see you in about three turns."
"Did you forget you had to put one of your own monsters in the Ring too?" Yami points out.
"Trust me, Pharaoh I plan on putting one of my own monsters in there." Zorc says. "I summon Jowgen the Spiritualist. Wave bye to him because he's going away." The monster disappears inside the Ring. He has to have something planned for those monsters, but what? "Oh and don't forget that you lose another 1,000 life points while I gain another 1,000!"
Yami drops down another 1,000 points and Zorc gains 1,000. So now Zorc is in the league.
"Since you lost life points another one of your friends goes bye-bye." Zorc cackles.
"Leave them alone, Zorc!" Yami shouts.
"No can do. You should have lost life points, my dear." Zorc leers.
"Shit! We can't let Zorc take one of us!" Joey exclaims.
"And how do you suppose we stop him?" Kaiba snaps.
"Well-"
"I think it's time to take Anzu for a Rod! After all, she's had a lovely time being controlled by it before." Zorc cackles.
"Anzu, no!" I shout as the Rod sucks her up. Everyone else protests, trying to save her, but to no avail.
"W-win." She rasps before she's completely gone.
"You'll pay for this!" Yami hisses.
"The only thing that's paying me is my wife with his beautiful body once we destroy all of you. Zorc says. "Now then, I think it's time to activate the last two Items: the Necklace and the Puzzle!"
"And what do they do?" Yami asks.
"Shut up and I'll tell you." Zorc spits. "Now then, as I was saying the Necklace, as you have probably guessed will predict the future, however, that is not the only thing it will do. It will also allow me to speed up time as I wish and it allows me to skip your turn every three turns. So, in other words, when it's time for Kaiba's feitish and Jowgen to come out, you're turn will be skipped and you won't be able to do anything."
Dammit! This isn't good at all! As if this duel wasn't hard enough for him? Yami doesn't show any backing down though. Determination lingers in his eyes. It's like he knows something, has something planned. I just hope he can pull it off.
"Now for the Puzzle. You're going to love this!" Zorc cackles.
"Just tell me what it does." Yami says.
"Anxious to lose, are we?" Zorc sneers. "Very well. At the end of each turn you will have to throw away a cards of my choosing. So for example, this turn I'll have you throw out those three monster cards in your hand!"
Yami's eyes widen.
"Go on, fool!" Zorc shouts. "Throw out the cards!"
Yami growls lowly, but does as he's commanded. Now Slifer only has 3,000 attack points making him weaker than Dark Diabound. Shit! How is Yami supposed to win at this rate?!

[Yami's POV]:
Zorc now has all seven Millennium Items on the field. I knew this was going to be difficult, I just didn't know how difficult. Thanks to the Puzzle's effects, I had to throw away half my hand. Now Slifer is weaker than Dark Diabound. I have to protect Slifer, but how? Zorc can see my hand thanks to the Eye. I'll have to draw something that even I don't know of, but it's risky. I close my eyes. I have to do this. I have to draw the right card.
"Well, since Slifer is weaker than powdered cum I think I'll attack!" Zorc cackles. "Dark Diabound attack Slifer with Dark Pulse Surge!"
Purple lightning swirls into a black beam coming towards my God. I brace myself, drawing the card.
"Fuck!" I hear Joey exclaim in an angry hiss.
"No!" Ryou whispers.
I can hear everyone's shouts of worry. They can't see what's happened in the smoke.
"Zorc, your monster's about to get destroyed!" I shout as the smoke clears.
"How-" the Dark God stops mid-sentence. His eyes widen when he sees Kaiba's Fiend Sanctuary Token on the field. "That's Kaiba's fucking card! How did you get it in your deck?!"
"I gave it to him during Battle City, moron." Kaiba replies rolling his eyes. "I figured he might need it again."
"I thought you didn't like the Pharaoh." Zorc leers. "I thought you wanted to be the best."
"I do."
"How can you be the best when you're letting him win?" Zorc inquires.
"Shaddup Zorc!" Joey exclaims. "Seto don't listen-"
"I'm not going to sit here and listen to your foolish games. Yami will defeat you. He's twenty times better than your pathetic ass. The only people that are worth dueling him are Bakura and myself." Kaiba says.
"Bakura can't duel his way out of a paperbag!" Zorc laughs. "Do you honestly think that fool can do anything? Please! Every duel he's been in, he got through it because of me."
"For someone who claims Bakura is your wife, you sure treat him like shit." Marik sneers.
"I have to keep a tight leash on him. The more control I have, the better." Zorc says.
"That's the only thing you have going." Mai sneers.
"That's all I need."
"We'll see."
"Let's get back to the duel." I say. "I believe your Dark Diabound was going to hit my monster."
"Think again, Pharaoh!" Zorc shouts. "I play Defusion."
Dark Diabound splits up back up into Diabound Kernel and Dark Necrofer.
"I end my turn." Zorc hisses.
"Good, then it's my turn." I say.
I have to play this carefully. Now I've gotten Dark Diabound off the field things should be easier. Of course in three turns I'll have to contend with Blue-eyes and Jowgen. I'm sure Zorc is planning on combining them into some weird creature with who knows what kind of powers. I have to prevent that from happening. The question is: how?
I've got a metal fiend token on the field thanks to Fiend Sanctury I received from Kaiba back in Battle City. It was this very card that saved me from Mariku's attack. He had combined himself with Ra. I thought I had won the duel, but unfortunately he had used Defusion-the very card he had gotten from me during the time I played Exchange-thus saving his life.
I knew Zorc would use the same tactic. I wanted him to. I wanted him to separate Dark Diabound into the original monsters used to summon them. Bakura had given me Diabound Kernel and Ryou Dark Necrofer. He wanted Dark Diabound not to go into Zorc's hands, but that happened anyways. Now I have to find a way to get that creature on my side of the field.
I look at my lover. He's so weak. I have to save him, but in order to do so, I have to get Zorc's life points down to zero. But when I attack Zorc, Bakura is put in danger. I know Bakura is in there, I know he'll find a way to break free from Zorc's control, but until he does I have to contend with things.
Zorc has more life points now thanks to the Ring's effect. Tristan, Anzu, and Mokuba have been sacrificed because of my careless, I can't let another friend be in danger. I have to think of a way to save them, I have to think of a way to turn this duel around, but Zorc can see my cards, throw them away, steal my friends' monsters, steal my own, and turn them into hideous beasts. How can I save them? How can I possible win when so much is on the line?

[Joey's POV]:
"Shit!" I curse.
How can dis be happenin'?! Three of our friends-Mokuba, Anzu, and Tristan-have been sucked up in one of those Item cards. Not to mention all seven of them are on the field! And each one is worse than the other! Poor Yams! He has to deal with his monsters getting stolen, combined, his life points taken away, and his cards being thrown away.
Thanks to Seto giving him Fiend Sanctuary, Yams was able to prevent Dark Diabound from destroying Slifer. Now Zorc has Diabound Kernel and Dark Necrofer on the field. Yams still has Slifer. Nornally, things would be just fine, but not this time. No, Zorc still has the upperhand.
"How the fuck is Yams supposed to win dis when every card Zorc has prevents so much?" I exclaim clenching my fists in my lap.
Seto doesn't' answer. He's glaring at Zorc. He and Yami passed some sort of a message between them when Zorc stole his Blue-eyes. I thought for sure my lover would have stopped him, but when Yami gave him dat look, he stopped and allowed Zorc to steal his favourite monster. Yams must have some sort of a plan, but what is it?
"It's going to take a miracle for Yami to win this duel." Duke says.
Typical idiot pointing out the negatives as always.
"Yami will find a way to win, Duke." Yugi says.
"Does it look like he'll find a way?" Duke asks. "Because from the duel I've been watching, Zorc has the upperhand."
"You're right." Ryou says. "But that doesn't mean Yami can't turn this around."
"Ry's right. Yams always finds a way to get out of a jam." I say.
"Unfortunately, things aren't that simple, Joey." Seto says.
"Oh so you're givin' up too?" I snarl.
"If you'd pay close attention to the duel, you'd see that Yami will have to pull out a miracle in order to win." He snaps.
I sigh. "I know, but what can he do? It seems no matter what Zorc's got him in a bind!"
"He does." Yugi sighs. "And then there's the fact Yami can only attack once per turn."
"Oh yeah." I scowl. "I forgot about Dark Door."
"Yami needs to find a way to get Blue-eyes, Diabound Kernel, and Dark Necrofer on his side of the field." Ryou says. "He'd have a chance then."
"And how's he supposed to do dat?!" I exclaim. "Ya know dat Zorc knows all his cards thanks to dat stupid Eye card!"
"Not to mention in two more turns the Ring's effects will activate. Blue-eyes and Jowgen will appear. Zorc will use the Scales to combine them, and thanks to the Necklace's effects Yami's turn will be skipped preventing him from blocking the attack." Yuge says.
"Dis is so fucking retarded!" I shout. "This shit shouldn't even be allowed!"
"Well too bad it is!" Zorc cackles.
"Kick his ass, Yams!" I shout.
"You're next, doggy bone!" Zorc laughs.
I glare.

[Seto's POV]:
Mokuba.
I can't believe he was taken. It seems like no matter how hard I try, I can't protect him. Sernenity hasn't said a word since he was taken and Joey is too engrossed his anger as am I. This has gone too far. I know there's nothing I can do. I'm not an idiot, I know that this isn't a normal duel.
Yami has to win this, but the odds are definitely not in his favour. Of course, that has never stopped him before. He wanted Zorc to take my Blue-eyes. He has a plan, and from the way he looked at me, it's a good one. I just hope Zorc won't catch onto it. He has my metal fiend token on the field along with Slifer. He needs to destroy the monsters on Zorc's side and get them to his.
"I already know you plan on playng Obelisk. So go ahead and play the fool." Zorc says.
Yami sacrifices three metal fiend tokes after playing Multiply just as he had during Mariku's duel. Obelisk appears on the field beside Slifer, ready to destroy the fool before him.
"There's no way Diabound and Necrofer can survive attacks from Slifer and Obelisk. Especially since Slifer has cut down their attack points." Yami says.
He's right. Thanks to Defusion's effect, two more monsters were summoned to the field. Both monsters have 0 attack points. If Yami can make the attacks hit, he'll win the duel, but I know it won't be that easy.
"You'll have to do much more than attack me with those weak Gods to win this duel." Zorc smirks.
"We'll see. Obelisk the Tormentor and Slifer the Sky Dragon, attack!" he commands.
The Gods send out their attacks.
"I play the Necklace's effect! Now it's time to turn up the time and summon Blue-eyes White Dragon!" Zorc shouts.
My Blue-eyes appears in an angry roar. I growl, clenching my fists. I hate that my monster is being used for such stupidity.
"Now then, Blue-eyes, my dear attack Slifer the Sky Dragon!" Zorc shouts.
"What an idiot!" my lover laughs. "He's gonna destroy his own monster!"
"That's what he's counting on." I say.
"Say wha?" Joey exclaims.
"Don't you get it, Joey?" Duke asks. "When the attacks hit, Slifer will be destroyed along with Blue-eyes. Blue-eyes, regardless of the fact it's technically Kaiba's monster, Yami will lose life points thus you'll be getting sucked up into one of the Item cards."
Joey's eyes widen. "Yami's stop the attack!" he cries.
"Obelisk, protect Slifer!" Yami demands.
"Figures you'd use a God to spare a God. You don't care about them at all." Zorc sneers.
"I respect and care for all of the Egyptian Gods. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't have been able to save the world nor would I have been able to have Bakura." He says.
"You have Bakura because his weakness got to him and he thinks he owes you for taking care of him." Zorc says. "He doesn't care anything about you. Or don't you know of the plan he and I had?"
"And what plan was dat?!" Joey shouts.
"Oh? You don't know? Hm. I supposed I could tell you. He was only pretending to be your friend-"
"If you think I'm going to stand there and listen to your childish foolishness you have another thing coming!" Yami roars. "Obelisk-"
"Stupid fool, did you forget you can't attack me anymore this turn?!" Zorc hisses.
Yami scowls. "Fine, you're safe for now."
"Safe is a pathetic word used for the fools in this world. I don't need to be safe. My power keeps me ahead. So no matter what you try, I'll always have the upperhand." Zorc smirks.
Yami narrows his eyes. "You won't win."

[Yami's POV]:
I've managed to get Obelisk on the field. I need to get Dark Door off the field so I can attack more than once. Zorc has Blue-eyes, Diabound, and Dark Necrofer on the field. The three monsters I need on my side of the field. The question is how do I get them over here?
I haven't played Exchange yet. I have that in my hand. I'm sure Zorc knows I have it along with the other cards in my hand. There's no point in playing cards from my hand because Zorc will only turn it around and use it against me, but I can't not use them either. All the Item cards are activated. Most of them seem to be trap cards though. If only. I glance at Joey. His eyes lock with mine. In order for this to work, I'm going to need his help. I just hope Zorc doesn't catch onto it.
"Well Slifer's effect has worn off, so my monsters gain their attack points back." Zorc says.
"It's not enough to defeat Slifer and Obelisk." I say.
"Not yet it's not." Zorc says. "But we're not going to worry about those two right now. They're asses are going into defense mode and I'll attack you with Blue-eyes."
"Obelisk, attack!" I shout.
Obelisk obeys. Blue-eyes vanishes. It can't be that easy. Zorc has something planned.
"It's time for the Puzzle's effect to take place. So throw out all the magic cards!" Zorc shouts.
I scowl, but do as he commands. Slifer drops down another 1,000 life points.
"I really don't see why he's doing dat." Joey says. "After all, Obelisk is the one he's attacking."
"He's planning on getting rid of Obelisk, Joey." Duke says.
"How he has weaker monsters! Obelisk will destroy him!" Joey exclaims.
I'd like for Joey to be right. I'd lover for this duel to be over with. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Zorc has a plan. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but he has one.
"I think I'll destroy Obelisk with Diabound Kernel now." Zorc says.
"You can't do that!" I shout. "He has zero attack points!"
"Oh that's right. I'm sorry I forgot to mention the Rod's other effect. How silly of me." Zorc laughs.
"Just tell me what it does, already." I snap.
"So impatient." Zorc sighs dramatically closing his eyes and shaking his head. "Alright, for card that's in your graveyard, my monsters gain 300 attack points. And since you seem to have a shit load of them in there, well my monsters will have more than enough attack points to destroy Obelisk and Slifer!"
"C'mon Yams! Ya've gotta win!" Joey shouts.
"He won't win! He's too weak!" Zorc laughs. "For if he attacks me, our pumpkin will go bye-bye!"
I growl. I have to find a way to stop Diabound and Necrofer from gaining attack points. I have to keep the Gods on the field. They're keeping me safe. If only I could get-a smirk widens across my face. Zorc sees it.
"And what are you smirking about?" he asks. "Glad to be losing so you can be with Bakura?"
"No." I say shaking my head. "I was just wondering something."
"And that is?" the demon god inquires impatiently.
"Well, you haven't taken Joey's Jinzo. I was wondering why not. After all, it'll prevent me from using my trap cards." I say.
"Yams!" Joey exclaims. "Don't give him more ideas to win!"
"What is Yami thinking?!" Mai exclaims.
"He's not." Marik scoffs.
"What kind of scheme do you have planned, Pharaoh?" Zorc asks.
"Nothing." I shrug. "I was just wondering is all."
Zorc studies me for a moment. I keep my eyes locked on his. This is risky, but I'm willing to do this. I have to get Zorc to have Jinzo.
"I don't know what kind of stupid plan you have, but I'll find out." Zorc says. "Ring, get that fool's Jinzo from him!"
"Dammit!" Joey curses as his favourite card disappears into the Ring.
"Three turns, Pharaoh."
"More like now." I remind him.
"Of course, how could I forget!" Zorc laughs.
The Necklace allows Jinzo to appear. My smirk widens.
"It's time for you to hand over Jinzo, Zorc." I say.
"What?!" Zorc hisses. "None of your cards can-"
His eyes widen when I reveal my facedown card.
"Fuck!" he exclaims.
"Hand Jinzo over to me!" I demand. "This foolishness ends now!"

So we have Anzu, Mokuba, and Tristan in the Item cards. Slifer and Obelisk are on the field. Yami has somehow tricked Zorc into getting Jinzo and now Yami has him. But what does this mean? Does this mean Yami has the upperhand, or is Zorc playing him? Ha, find out next time in chapter 38 of SS! Wheeeee! Review lovelies! :D
