"Leo, what the hell have you done?" Lily hissed, trying to avoid eye contact with the big brown eyes looking up at her as Sophie stared.
"This is your Mummy Soph" Leo cooed, ignoring Lily as he lifted their daughter onto his hip and brought her closer.
"Leo stop" the teen ordered, stumbling away "She isn't ours, she belongs to Davies' sister and her husband…you never even wanted her!"
The River Boy shrugged, placing a kiss to the toddlers temple "I've changed my mind" he said simply "Now we can be a proper family"
Lily frowned "Leo…I don't understand, I know Davies and Kathryn said we could see her whenever we wanted, but she's not part of our family anymore"
Leo looked up "They said that? How understanding of them"
Lily began to panic "Please tell me Kathryn knows you have her?"
"Well she was just sat in the garden and no-one was watching her, so I thought I'd look after her"
Lily took a step forward and lifted Sophie from his arms
"We have to take her back, right now"
Leo grabbed her "NO! She's ours, we don't have to have anyone's permission, she is staying with us, we're not taking her back"
Lily chewed on her lower lip, Sophie balanced on her hip as the teen ran a hand through her hair
"I need to ring Davies, or-"
She was cut off when her phone began to ring in her pocket, sighing in relief she pulled it out "It's Brax!" she cried "He'll know what to do"
Leo snatched the phone, arcing it up and into the sea where it sunk like a stone.
"I can't let you do that" he said dully, sniffing and wiping his nose
Lily lifted Sophie further up her side to stop her from slipping
"Leo what's wrong with you?" she whispered fearfully "This isn't you"
He shrugged "Found Benny's stash at home, helped myself, he'll be so mad when he finds out but by then we'll be long gone"
"Stash?" Lily repeated "You mean drugs? Leo what the hell have you taken?"
"Just some coke, but don't worry there's plenty more for you too"
Sophie started to whimper, squirming in Lily's arms
"Leo we need to take her home, please just let us go"
"Stop saying home, her home is wherever we are"
Lily shook her head and turned away "I'm taking her back, from now on you stay away from her and me, got it?"
As she began storming off over the sand, she heard a click from behind her, turning back slightly, her stomach plummeted as she saw Leo aiming a gun at her, his eyes glazed over.
"You still wanna walk away from me?" he challenged
Lily held Sophie tighter as she began to cry softly, she glanced down at the toddler in her arms, and then back up at Leo.
"Guess not" she whispered, wandering over to him.
He gripped her arm tightly, dragging her up the steps to the road and over to a car.
"Got this from Benny too, along with the gun, isn't he helpful?" Leo drawled
Lily said nothing, allowing him to take Sophie and strap her into the car seat already installed in the back.
"Get in" he ordered, slamming the door shut "Lily, get in the car"
With one last hopeful look round to see if she could spot someone to help, the teen reluctantly slid into the passenger seat and Leo sped off.

"Where are we going?" Lily questioned after they'd been driving for 10 minutes
"Anywhere we want"
"Well then you may want to stop and refill your tank" she said shortly, folding her arms.
Leo groaned and thumped the steering wheel, swerving sharply into the service station they were driving past.
"Wait in the car, don't try anything silly" he threatened, climbing out with his wallet before locking the girls inside.
Lily waited a few moments for him to disappear from view, before scrambling beneath the driver seat for where Leo had dropped his phone when they'd gotten in.
She sighed in relief as he hand closed round it, and slowly she pulled it out, unlocking it and hurriedly dialling her home number, praying someone would be in.
"Hello?"
"Kyle? Is that you?" she hissed, almost in tears at the sound of her brothers voice
"Lily? Where the hell are you? Where's your phone? Why aren't you answering it?"
"Will you shut it? I don't have long look, Leo took Soph from Davies' sisters house and now he's driving the three of us somewhere, he's taken cocaine, he's completely out of it and he has a gun, Kyle what do I do?"
Lily was breathing heavily, shaking as she watched Leo jog into the station to pay. She was running out of time.
"Lily. Where are you now?" Kyle demanded, the anger evident in his voice
"Gas station on the outskirts of the bay, he's heading towards Mangrove River, but we're leaving any second now"
Lily heard him sigh in frustration, muttering to someone else who was there with him.
Lily looked up, Leo was paying now, she had minutes.
"Brax and Casey are on their way Lil, they'll catch up with you soon"
"Not likely, Leo's driving like a maniac!"
"And we're your brothers, there's no way we're gonna lose you alright?"
"Promise?"
"I promise baby sis"
Lily rolled her eyes through the tears, for once not complaining as she quickly hung up, dropping the phone back on the floor beneath the seat as Leo ran over to the car.
"Why're you crying?" he questioned, starting the engine
"Why do you think?" Lily grumbled, knuckling her eyes
"You don't need anyone but us Lily, me and you are gonna be together forever"
She nodded slowly, tensing as he placed a hand on her thigh before skidding back out onto the road.

It was getting late as Leo drove Benny's car down the road heading towards Mangrove River.
"When are we stopping? It's getting late and Soph needs sleep"
"She's asleep now" Leo pointed out, staring in the mirror, swerving to avoid a bird in the road.
Before Lily could reply, ringing filled the car, and Leo frowned, reaching around his feet to find it.
"Why do I have so many messages all of a sudden?"
"Benny maybe? Look you should keep your eyes on the road, I'll read them to you" Lily flustered.
Leo, pushed her away from him, scrolling through.
"Lily It's Kyle, you'll be okay I promise"
"Help is coming"
"They've just driven past the gas station"
"They'll find you"
"Stay safe"
Lily's heart thumped loudly in her chest, her mouth went dry as Leo looked up at her eyes blazing.
"You rang your brothers for help?" he snarled "Didn't feel safe with me?"
"Leo" she whimpered "Please just focus on the road" Lily begged
He ran a hand over his face, delving in the footwell for the gun.
"Oh Lily" he sighed pointing it at her "Why did you do this?"
"Leo don't, please don't"
He hovered his finger over the trigger, lifting his other hand off the wheel to steady his aim
"Leo the car" Lily sobbed "Please, Sophie's in the back remember?"
"Don't worry, I'll tell her about her Mummy one day" he said dully
Lily squeezed her eyes shut, preparing for the gunshot, when the car skidded off the road.
She opened her eyes, grabbing the gun from Leo and chucking it on the floor out of his reach, as the car flipped and rolled down the bank, eventually coming to a halt on its roof after crashing into a tree.
The last thing Lily remembered was the sound of Sophie crying, and the smell of smoke and petrol.
Okay so hey guys! It's been months since I last updated, sorry but I had exams that had to be revised for :/ but I'm back! Hope you liked the chapter, it was probably the most intense one so far I think, and I know it's a little bit shorter but I wanted to end on a cliff hanger hehe. As I was writing the chapter I just kinda happened to make Leo's character way more evil than I originally intended, but I actually quite like how it turned out So I hope you all did too, feel free to leave me a review with any ideas or opinions on the story, I love you all, thanks for sticking with me throughout Lily's journey, let's hope she's okay! ;)
