Rachel proudly brushed her brown haired wig. She smiled, loving the way the bob fitted her face.

"This is one of my best plans yet." Rachel admitted. "What do you think, Mercedes?" She questioned, quickly glancing at her quiet friend and back to her reflection.

"Don't you think this is a little over the top?" Cedes pouted, watching her friend's excitement. "Do you think we've taking it too far?"

"No." Rachel sat beside her friend in the coach. "You always talked about how there wasn't a limit when something HAD to be done. Our job isn't complete until the wedding is called off."

Mercedes was completely surprised by Rachel. "Did you hear anything you just said?" Mercedes yelled at her friend before standing. " We just got out of jail. That's how you know you've gone too far. This," she point to the wig "is ridiculous." she yelled throwing her wig down, and putting her hands on her hips.

"Mercedes, you started all of this." Rachel stood to look her friend in the face. "You said 'We go full-blown SWAT team on em and break the couple up.'" Rachel imitated Mercedes. "'Rach, the only person we know who needs to be knocked a couple of pegs is Quinn.' or, the reason I allowed you to drag me into this, ''It's for Britt.'" Rachel shook her head.

"Britt is happy with Santana. We should have given up when we knew." Mercedes stated before taking a few deep breaths. "I don't want to fight with you." Mercedes calmly spoke. "I'm going to bed. Goodnight." Mercedes stormed out of the living room.

Rachel flopped down on the coach, upset with her friend. Looking around the room, the TV caught Rachel's attention. The TV was left on Wendy Williams, a talk show that Mercedes often looked at. Rachel quickly reached for the remote to turn the gossiping talk show host, but froze noticing a familiar face become the subject of Wendy's Hot Topic.

"Matt Rutherford proposed to his girlfriend of 6 months, Mercedes Jones." Wendy announced, earning applause from her audience. A picture of Mercedes and Matt at the Grammys appeared on the left side of the screen. "She was a backup singer for his first album, which was released almost 5 years ago, and they've been friends since." Wendy explained the couple's relationship. "They were seen out and about together a couple of days ago." The picture of Matt and Mercedes at the Grammys changed to a picture of the two walking on the street, laughing . "You can see the ring on her figure. It's a 20 carat ring." She points out the sparkle on Mercedes figure. "I think they're a cute couple but they're too young for marriage. They're both 25 and at that age you usually aren't ready to jump into a marriage. They should wait a few more years for all of that, you know?" Wendy questioned, earning a few claps. "Matt will be here tomorrow, so we'll definitely talk about..."

Rachel turned the TV off and rushed to her room. Opening the door she found Mercedes sound asleep. Rachel slowly entered the room and move beside the bed. She studied Mercedes resting body to see if she was wearing a ring. Rachel shortly discovered Mercedes left hand was tucked under a pillow. Rachel slowly began to reach to pull the pillow covering Mercedes's hand, but paused when Mercedes began to stir.

"Rach, go to sleep." Mercedes mumbled, with closed eyes.

Rachel laid beside her friend to sleep, with plans to check in the morning.

Please don't be mad at me for writing Rach this way. I my mind this is Rachel. When she sets her mind to something, she wont stop til its done. Rachel was wearing the wig she wears for Funny Girl. I chose Wendy Williams as the talk show host because she is the biggest gossip I know of. What is your opinion on Mattcedes?
