"My Lady, are you ok?"
Kagome looked up,
"You haven't touched your food" Lily looked concerned,
"I guess I ate too much last night, I not actually hungry."
Sesshomaru called for the bill and paid.
"Thank you for the wonderful day" Lily spoke as they drove up to her house,
"Hn"
"See you tomorrow My Lady!"
Kagome smiled and bowed her head as Lily walked away.
"Move up front."
Kagome did as she was told.
"You have not eaten."
"I wasn't hungry, and before you ask no, I'm not ill" Well, she was, she was lovesick.
"Something is bothering you" He drove,
"She's a little bubbly."
"You do not like her?"
"I didn't say that she just, hyper" And she was tired. This was tiring. No wonder his mother lived at the moon palace.
"Indeed"
They arrived back at the house, and Kagome walked around, room to room until she came back to that one.
"You seem to like this one."
"Will you be mating her, you can just tell me."
"Would that displease you?"
Kagome had her back to him "It doesn't matter I am not a fool."
He walked up to her "Arnt you?"
She refused to turn to him "I know what you're doing."
He moved her hair "What I want" He kissed her neck again while his hand moved to the front of her dress and under to grab her breast.
"Sesshomaru I am being serious."
"I am always serious Miko," He said against her neck.
"Will you mate her?"
"And if I do, what then will you do Miko, leave me?" He took his hand back "Tell me, Miko, why did you say that's why at dinner that night."
"What?"
"You told them, that's why, your treats to leave me are just that, treats."
"I didn't threaten to leave you."
His hands moved, and he bunched up her dress "Then what?"
She closed her eyes as his hands bushed against her bare legs.
"That's why we won't have a baby."
He froze at her words,
"Is that your threat woman? Do you think I fear you?"
She spun around and slapped him "I am ready to honor my family's house and I even willing to accept Lily as those before have done with men like you but I will not be lied to, fear me? You should for I a Kagome, Miko of Shikon, Hime of the House of the Sun and I won't give my womb to just anyone for anything less than the right reasons and that includes you, you jerk! You think I don't know?"
His markings were getting darker "Woman you are overstepping, and your treats are empty."
"Are they?"
"Kagome enough, I do not care about your house or my half breed brother or what you do or do not know, do not be angry with me because you sister is pregnant."
Her power snapped.
"Kagome, enough" He snapped again,
"Would you call our children that?"
"What?"
"Half breeds, that's what they would be!" She yelled.
"We do not know that yet."
There it was. She stepped back.
"No, we don't do we" She shook her head "You should just mate her and get on with it because if you think I would give you a pup based on power chances you are sadly mistaken, all of you are sadly mistaken!"
Decision made if he didn't want her love, her heart, her respect, then she wouldn't give him her womb, not if the only reason he wanted it was for power. To hell with them all.
He had enough, he grabbed her jaw "You should be silent mate" His fangs got bigger "Keep speaking that way, and I just may do it, tell me mate would that make you happy? You threaten to stay barren but how then would you feel If I placed my seed in her, is that what you wish Kagome? Why must you infuriate me so?"
"Why do you always insist on hurting me?"
He released her jaw instantly at the smell of her tears "I was trying to please you."
"You were trying to appease me there is a difference Sesshomaru."
"This Sesshoumaru does only want I wish to do, nothing more nothing less I do not care about appeasing you wench" He turned and walked away.
"Where are you going now, back to her?"
"Is that not what you told me to do Miko?"
"Isn't that what you want to do?"
"I will not indulge you any longer Miko you foolish behaver is most unbecoming and trust me, Miko, you cannot handle my beast."
"But she can?"
"She can control it" Then he vanished.
Kagome fell to her knees. Her heart shattered into a million pieces. Who knew, she loved him after all.
