hullo there! Here's the next chapter. I would write something long and funny like normal but I don't want to keep you long. Enjoy and review! 3

I found a place. Two, actually. One was one town over. the other... Well... the Capital of India. a small flat. that one would take a long time to get into. India was a crowded place. Why India? Because. it's far away and... its home. for him. That'd be nice, wouldn't it? For us to go live in his Home Country. For now though, I am focusing on the one closer. it would be temporary till we could get farther away. Far Away. From the world. Someone in the country. No cities. more chance he'd be recognized and... more chance with all those people around I would miss my family. Because this would be exile. But if we're somewhere nice, I can focus on him and the beauty of where we might live. It'd be easier on me to not see other people. Easier to shut myself off from civilization.

My Pager beeped, pulling me back to the real world.i answered it. " Hello?" "Hi there, is this Ms. Kidana?" I paused. "Yes, this is she." "Oh! Hey there Kida!" she said, all formalities dropped. "It's Irene, from the place you were looking at." "Oh, hi." " Well... I was calling to let you know, unfortunately, that the other party has gotten the Apartment. I'm so sorry..." My throat closed up, my heart felt like it was being weighed down by a 5 ton brick to the bottom of the ocean. "oh... oh no, its fine. Really, it's alright." "I'm sorry sweetie, I know how eager you seemed to get it. however, it's not all bad news. I know another place. the Tennant's haven't moved out yet, but its open. once they're out of course." I could breathe. "Well, when are they planning to move out?" "I believe...give me a sec to check. ah, yes. the 12th." so much for breathing. I took a ragged breath. "Well, it can't hurt to look into it, yeah. please, if it's not much trouble." I said. "Oh no trouble at all my dear. Bye for now. I'll call you back. Have a nice day!" And then she hung up, a click cutting off the call.

I set the pager down. the. twelfth. of September. God, that was cutting it close. I rested my elbows on my knees, my hands pressed together in a steeple, pressed to my lips. I closed my eyes tightly and let out a long, slow breath. I head a headache... Harrison came up behind me, rubbing my shoulders. "What's wrong?" he asked. " We didn't get the place... she found another but the people are moving out on the twelfth. cutting too close for comfort. We're... running out of options." I said. he hopped over the back of the couch and sat next to me. I laid my head on his shoulder. there was something else on my mind.

"We'll figure something out. Don't worry about it." It's now or never... "That's not what's really bothering me. I mean, it is, but there's something else too..." "What is bothering you? tell me." he said. I removed my head from his shoulder and looked him in the eyes. he was worried about me.

"I know...that you know who my parents are. And who Ash's are... and most likely my extended family... I know you know." he hesitated before responding. "I suspected who you were after one week with you, and then I researched you. As for Ash, her appearance is similar to that of her mother's, Admiral Marcus's daughter. I met her briefly." he said. "When you broke her leg." I stated. he made no comment on this. " And I can assume that 'Chris' is short for Christopher, the name of Captain Pike, Kirk's mentor. So Chris and Ashlynn would be Carol and Jim's children. So yes, I do know your family." he finished.

"If you know...then why are you with me..? I mean..." I stopped. I had an idea of why, but I didn't want to think it, say it, or believe it. "Why are you with me, after all you went through with them? All the fighting...How do you not hate me?" I asked. he looked me dead in the eyes, his winter sky eyes burning into me. my face was cradled between his hands. "You do not condemn the son for the crimes of the father. Nor do you condemn the daughter for that of her family. Even then, not the family either, if their actions were for the same purpose as yours. So no, I do not hate you. I can not, Kida. the heart wants what the heart wants." he said, a hint of a laugh as the last words came out.

"The heart wants what the heart wants?" I quoted. there was not an ounce of sarcasm in my voice. "And...I- I am what yours wants?" I asked. even after everything, I still could not stick it into my mind that he actually, really did want to be with me. "I don't think I had a heart till you came along. you are all it wants. everything it needs. trust me." the last words were merely a breath. he pulled me into him, kissing me. " They went to a double feature. Probably just started. We got time." I said between kisses. "Good." he said, grinning into a kiss. he picked me up, and carried me into his room, closing the door and locking it out of habit.
