"Hey Em, yeah... I'm excited to work on the album with you too.. I just wish we had a little more time but I know it's gonna come out great! I'll be down there tomorrow so make sure you've got your songs together and some ideas in your head, see you then." Beca hung up and let out a small sigh. "Back to the old grind.."
Chloe smiled. "You gonna miss it here?"
Beca nodded. "A little, it's become a bit of home to me…"
"Well good thing this is our place and we have our offices so we can come whenever we want."
Beca smiled and nodded. "Absolutely." She grabbed Chloe's hand. "I'm excited for everything that's happening… It feels like the end of something you know but it feels right.."
Chloe nodded. "I was thinking the same thing. Our life is nowhere near over but it feels like everything is kinda coming together and coming full circle."
"I can't wait to go back to Barden high and see who actually shows up."
Chloe laughed. "That will definitely be an interesting night…"
Beca wrapped her arm around Chloe as they looked out into the New York night sky. "Goodbye New York, Until next time…"
"Uhhhhh." Beca moaned as she laid in her bed. "I am so fucking happy to be back!" She yelled.
Chloe laughed. "Home is definitely where the heart is. I feel whole again here with my family and home."
Stacie looked at them and shook her head. "You guys are crazy, but I missed you so much and I'm glad you're back!"
Beca got up and wrapped her arm around Stacie. "Glad to be back and you know I missed you girl. Hey are you going to the reunion?"
Stacie shrugged. "I thought about it but I'm not sure.."
"You gotta come!" Chloe said with wide eyes. "We're all going!"
Stacie sighed. "I don't really have much going for myself right now you know?"
Beca shook her head. "You're an amazing young woman Stacie and you're doing great.. Just give it some thought."
Stacie nodded. "I will, so tell me all about New York! I know you've told me over the phone but it's different talking about it in person…"
Beca grinned. "Well..."
"Okay miss hit-maker!" Beca said with a laugh as Emily sang the song to her. "I swear you get better every time we meet up."
Emily laughed. "Thanks Bec! I really try, I'm trying to live up to my mom.."
Beca nodded. "Hey listen Em, there will always be a critic and I know that one guy a few months back got to you when he said you'll never amount to her, but you know she's super proud of you and I mean your record sells show just how good you are and I tell you… Don't let that asshole make you feel less than what you are because you're amazing and you are the Katherine Junk of our time."
Emily grinned. "Wow, thanks Beca! That really means a lot coming from you."
"I mean every word of it. We've been through a lot the past year and a half I've known you, a lot of good and a lot of bad but through it all your talent never waivered Em and with all the drama Chlo and I put on you with the whole you like me thing, you stayed you and I love that, you're gonna go far kid!"
Emily smiled and nodded. "You're a real life inspiration Beca and I appreciate you."
"I appreciate you for wanting to work with me, it's an honor I've told you that from the start."
Emily nodded. "One question… I have this song and I really want to sing it with Chloe,,"
"I'll talk with her about it and see what she says." Beca said with a smile. "Can I see it?"
Emily grinned. "Of course!"
"Okay can I just say wow!" Chloe said with a grin. "You are an amazing singer! We'd be lucky to even have you… Thank you so much for choosing BxC titanium records as your first choice because I know anybody else would have snatched you right up."
"Does that mean I'm in?"
Chloe smiled. "There is paperwork and all that needs to be filled out with your lawyer present, but yes Taylor I'd love to have you sign with us and I know Beca would too."
Taylor's eyes watered. "Wow! This is a dream come true! Thank you so much Chloe!" Taylor pulled Chloe into a hug and squealed. "I'm so excited to start making music."
"Well come back tomorrow with your manager and lawyer and we'll sort through everything."
Taylor nodded and quickly gathered her things. "Thanks again!"
Chloe smiled. "No problem!"
The next guy walked in and looked at Chloe with a wink. "My name is Rico and my performance is sure to be a panty dropper so you might wanna lose the ring.."
Chloe sighed. "Just sing.."
Rico nodded and started to sing. Chloe's eyes widened she couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Well?" He said with a smirk.
"Uh." Chloe cleared her throat. "I uh can definitely hear the potential, I'm just not sure if you're BxC material."
Rico frowned. "What the fuck are you talking about?"
"As I just said, I hear the potential but it's not the sound we're looking for, thank you for your time."
RIco shook his head. "I don't think so! You need your fucking ears cleaned because I'm the best singer to ever enter this building."
Chloe tried to hold in her laugh but failed. "You're being very disrespectful and clearly you're delusional, please leave before I have you escorted out."
"You're gonna regret this when you see me on the charts under some other label.."
Chloe nodded. "Yeah totally our loss.. Have a nice day Rico." He angrily walked out and Chloe let out a sigh. "SO glad to be done.."
"Taylor was absolutely amazing." Chloe said with a grin. "I can't wait to see what she comes out with."
Beca nodded. "How about the other one?
Chloe rolled her eyes. "Oh he was an asshole and I'm glad he sucked. He walked in and told me I should take my ring of because his performance was a panty dropper then after I told him he didn't make the cut he started cursing at me and getting angry."
Beca frowned. "You should've called me, I would've came and kicked his ass."
"Definitely don't need that, that'd be bad for business. I just stayed polite and told him to leave before I had him escorted out."
Beca nodded. "That's why you're the mature one in the relationship."
Chloe laughed. "I certainly am, how'd things go with Emily?"
"So great." Beca said happily. "She wrote some amazing songs, she even wrote one for you to sing with her."
Chloe's eyes widened. "Did she?"
Beca nodded. "She did and babe the song is pure gold, it's amazing and we really would love if you did it…"
Chloe smiled. "I come by the studio tomorrow and we'll see what's what."
"She wants me to rap on the track.."
Chloe's eyes widened. "Ooh you know it turns me on when you rap."
Beca winked. "I know, I can't wait for us all to hop in the booth and make magic."
"Okay, this is totally gonna be a hit!" Chloe said after she finished recording her part. They spend a few hours together tweaking the lyrics and helping Beca with her rap and now the song was officially complete.
Emily clapped her hands excitedly. "I feel like this should be my first single for the album."
Beca nodded. "I agree, Bang Bang is catchy and I think people will love it."
"Ahh I love this song so much!" Emily said as she listened to the playback. "You sound so good Chloe."
Chloe grinned. "We all do! Thank you Em for choosing me to be on this song with you, you could have literally chosen anyone and you chose me."
"It was definitely my pleasure, having my favs on a song with me is a dream come true and I can't wait for this to go number one because I know it is."
Beca nodded. "Well I'm calling it a day, you did good Em go home and get some rest."
"Will do, see you guys tomorrow."
Beca looked at Chloe as Emily walked out. "It's about time to sign the new artist right?"
Chloe looked at the time and nodded. "Yup she should be here any minute."
"Well let's get ready for her."
"Obviously a lot of people want to work with Beca which is why we can't guarantee that Taylor's album would be produced solely by Beca." Chloe said to Taylor and her lawyer.
Beca cleared her throat. "I always try to work on at least two songs with everyone signed to BxC so I can promise you that we will work together if that's your concern."
Taylor shook her head. "My concern is the fact that I'm new, I just wanna ensure that I'm working with the best."
Beca smiled. "I'm glad you want that for yourself, I can ensure you that I make sure I hire the best. There is not one person in here who hasn't made a hit, I make sure my people put out quality work or they don't put out anything."
Taylor smiled and nodded. "Okay! I'm ready to sign!"
Beca nodded. "I'll just give you and your people a little more time to look over the paperwork." Beca said as she stood and grabbed Chloe's hand. "You can come get us when you're done."
"So what do you think about her?" Chloe asked once they left the room.
Beca smiled. "She's seems great, I love how she's serious about her craft and her main concern is putting out good work. She knows what she wants and how she wants it done." Beca let out a content sigh. "Our company is gonna flourish with her."
"Mrs. Mitchells? She's signed."
Riley rolled her eyes. "Why are you guys freaking out like I've never watched Jax before?"
Chloe let out a breath. "We're gonna be in another state Ry, we've never done that before! I've never left my baby boy while I went to another state.."
Beca wrapped her arm around Chloe. "He'll be fine babe. Your mom will be here with them soon and my dad will check in on them, he'll be okay."
Chloe nodded. "Okay." She looked at Riley the minute anything seems wrong, call us."
"Will do now go get your flight, you've got a reunion to attend."
A/N: Next chapter is the last and then I'll probably do an epilogue after that. Same question remains, who do you think is showing up to the reunion?
