They got home and did nothing for the rest of the day, until Gibbs got home from work. He looked at the pair sat on the floor playing with Grace and saw something was wrong, or something had happened, since they got out the hospital and he went straight over to make sure they were okay. "You alright?" He asked.

They looked up and Ziva nodded "Yes. We are fine"

Tony raised an eyebrow "Thanks to Ziva"

Ziva shook her head and Gibbs frowned "What happened?"

Tony shrugged "We took Grace to the park and there were a bunch of thugs. I'm not quite sure what they were gonna do but they had a gun and then they got in the way of Ziva and Grace…"

Gibbs nodded "And she sorted them out?"

Tony snorted "Yeah, you could say, dropping them and making sure he couldn't breathe was sorting him out"

Gibbs smiled and sat down and looked at the three of them on the floor. He smiled to himself remembering Kelly and Shannon. Even though he missed them both he was happy that two of his team…his new family, had got what he had once had. And especially as one had never thought she'd get this, even though she wanted it. Grace suddenly threw the bricks she was playing with onto the floor with a loud clatter and looked up at Gibbs just staring at him. Gibbs stared back and then glanced at Tony and Ziva "Have I got something on my face?" He asked.

Tony snorted "Not this time"

Gibbs frowned "This time?"

"Remember when you quit….sorry…retired and you had that…hedge on your upper lip"

Gibbs grinned "Yeah, I remember"

"I'm sure if Grace saw that this young she'd be mentally scarred and then never date anyone with facial hair, ever"

Ziva frowned and looked at Tony "I thought you said she wasn't dating anyone until you were dead, plus three days to make sure you're dead"

Tony shrugged and Gibbs raised his eyebrows "You'll probably haunt any guy who goes near her even after your death, just to make sure she doesn't"

Tony shrugged, grinning "Yeah, I'll try"

Gibbs shook his head "She won't be your little girl forever"

Tony looked up at him "Yeah she will…she'll just grow up"

Ziva smiled at Tony. She never thought she'd ever hear Tony say something like that. Not in this life or the next. "She's got a bit of time before that though" she commented.

Tony nodded "Yeah….okay…I'm going out for pizza…any requests?"

They shook their heads and Ziva pulled Grace into her lap. Gibbs looked at her and, knowing it was uncharacteristic, but also knowing how special these moments were, got a camera and snuck a photo of them. He put it away as Ziva looked at him "We're going to ask my father to borrow money, and ask if he will look after Grace until we have the house done, so we can move in while its getting re-done. Then we will be out of your hair…at home at least…and I will be back at work"

Gibbs nodded "If you need me to lend you any money, I'd be more than willing"

Ziva shook her head "Thank you for the offer but I don't think we'll need to, with our money and whatever my father is lending us"

Gibbs nodded "Okay. What about the wedding?"

Ziva shrugged "It will have to wait"

Gibbs nodded. "Abby's starting to get packed up ready to go to Orlando" he commented.

Ziva looked down at Grace. "You're going to miss her?"

Gibbs nodded "Of course. But like she said…tempory"

Ziva nodded. "She is upset about leaving. Do you think it would make it worse to have a goodbye party?"

Gibbs shook his head "I was thinking that. Everyone loves Abby...we just need to get Vance's permission"

Ziva nodded "Do you know when Jenny come's back?" she asked. Jenny had been away for a while on business. She hadn't told anyone what she had gone to do, just left Director Vance as Stand in Director. She had been gone since before Ziva gave birth and hadn't got into contact with anyone.

Gibbs shook his head "No."

"Do you think she's okay?"

Gibbs looked at Ziva "I think she'd let us know if she wasn't okay."

"Does Vance have the right to offer Abby a position when he's only stand-in?"

"He has every right. Since Jenny left it's his agency."

Ziva nodded and they sat there in silence until Tony got back. He walked in and looked around "Ooo….who died?" he asked as he looked around and noticed them sat there in silence. The mood was very depressing.

Both Gibbs and Ziva looked up as he walked in with two bags. Gibbs frowned "I thought you were only going for Pizza?"

Tony looked down the bags he was carrying and turned and dropped the bag in the hall pointing to them "You didn't see that one…this one is the pizza"

Ziva frowned at him but said nothing as he pulled the two boxes of pizza out and put it on the coffee table open. Grace, smelling the food, started grasping for the box. Ziva grabbed her back and wrapped an arm firmly round her waist, so she couldn't move. Grace, however, didn't like that and opened her lungs and screamed as loud as she could. Ziva stood up and moved Grace to her hip. "I'm putting her to bed"

Both men nodded as she walked out. Tony turned the baby monitor on and sat in silence with Gibbs. They listened to Grace crying for a while before they heard Ziva's voice soothing Grace to sleep, with a song neither of them had heard before. "Goodnight baby, close your eyes, sleep in peace until you rise though while you sleep we are apart your mommy loves you with all her heart."

She walked back into the living room and looked at them both who were staring at her. "What?" She asked shrugging.

Tony shook his head "Nothing…we were…just…admiring your voice"

Gibbs looked up at her "I didn't know you could sing"

Ziva shrugged. "Not many people do know I can"

"You have a really good voice"

Ziva sat down "Thank you"

Tony clapped his hands once "Now…who wants pizza!"

They ate in a comfortable silence until Ziva's phone rang. She left it to go to voicemail but whoever it was, was insistent and kept calling until she picked up. On the third time she looked at the caller ID. "Oh…it's my father."

Tony looked at her "Are you going to ask him?"

Ziva nodded as she picked up. She put the phone on speaker so Tony could hear as well. "Hello, Ziva" he greeted her.

"Hello"

"How are you, and Tony, and Grace?"

"Okay. Grace had to have an operation yesterday"

"Is she okay? What happened?"

"I don't know. But she had something in her stomach. She had to have it removed."

"So long as she is okay"

Tony spoke up "They're both fine"

"Both?" Eli asked.

"Yeah, Ziva had a seizure and panic attack…"

"Ziva, why did you not say"

"It was not important"

"Ziva, are you okay?"

"Yes…it was just worry"

"I understand. A similar thing happened to your mother when you were a baby. You stopped breathing and had to have emergency surgery and she had a panic attack and passed out."

Ziva's eyebrows shot up "You never told me that before"

"I did not think that was something you would want to know. You have come to close to death so many times I didn't think you'd want to know the time you DID die"

"Did my heart not stop beating?"

Eli stayed silent and Tony spoke up again "Remind me to thank the doctors who saved her when I'm next in Israel"

"That I will, Tony. So long as you are both okay. Ziva, I know what you're going to say…because for the past seven months it has been the same…but I would still like to loan you all the money you need to make up, to fix your house"

"Abba, Tony and I discussed it. We would like to accept your offer. We both understand you have not met Grace yet, so while we are getting the apartment fixed…we would…"

Eli cut her off "I would love to"

"How did you know what I was going to ask?" Ziva said confused.

"It was obvious when you started 'we understand you have not met Grace yet'…no one starts like that unless they are going to ask 'can you come to meet her' or may you look after her'…which one was it?"

"Look after her…until the apartment is done…"

"Of course…should I rent an apartment in America or should I make arrangements for her to come out here?"

"Make arrangements for her to go to Israel. But you have a few conditions."

"Which are?"

"You're not to hire a nanny to look after her while you go off to work. You're not to take her to work. You spend time with her"

"Of course…I will book leave, to make sure I do not have to go into work or leave or anything. I will spend all the time I can with my only Grand-daughter…"

"Thank you…"

"Will she be my only grandchild?"

Ziva snorted "I don't know. Maybe."

"Ziva, children need other children to play with…"

"I'm sure she will have plenty of friends"

"Yes, but maybe you should…"

Ziva cut him off "No but's Abba…at the moment our primary concern is Grace"

"I understand…to be fair there was a two year age gap between you and Ari and an eight year one between you and Tali. Take your time…"

Gibbs stood up "You can wait until you're out of my house before trying to get pregnant again" he said walking down to his basement. "Once is too many times under this roof"

Tony and Ziva grinned at each other as he shut the door to the basement to give them a bit of privacy. Eli spoke up breaking the silence "I am just letting you know that you should wait a bit before she visits. You can of course get the money immediately but Mother's Day is coming up, Grace will be one soon, she will soon start to talk and walk. I do not want either of you to miss that, so I would wait until all this is over before you even think about letting her stay with me. I remember I was on a mission when Ziva said her first word and I regret being away when she said that word. I will never get that chance again."

Ziva and Tony looked at each other wondering who this man was and what happened to Eli David. "What was Ziva's first word?" Tony asked a grin on his face.

"Shalom"

"I said hello as my first ever word?" Ziva asked.

"Yes…and your Ima never got the chance to video it for me because it was so out of the blue."

"Hello is the most boring first word. Tony what was your first word? Movies? Blonde bombshells? Sex?"

The three of them laughed but Tony shook his head "No, my first word was Mommy…it was my second word that was movies" They laughed again.

"Don't worry about the money. I'll move it into your bank account as soon as I hang up the phone. Then you can tell me when she has said her first word and walked and I will come over, stay a couple of days so you can introduce me to your daughter and then I will take her off your hands"

"Eli, you don't think we mind spending time with our daughter do you? Because the way you just said that made it seem like you think we think she is a…how should I put this…hindrance"

"I did not mean it to sound like that at all…but surely you want a break from her?"

Ziva snorted "No. We love our daughter if you hadn't notices and we like spending time with her."

"Okay…yes I understand…who do you want the money to be given to? Tony or Ziva?"

"Put it into Tony's account"

"Okay…I will do that now. Goodbye…I will talk to you both soon" They heard the click of the phone then pressed the red button. They sat there for a few minutes before there was a knock at the front door. Ziva looked at Tony who shrugged. She stood up to go and answer it and saw Jackson Gibbs stood there. "Mr Gibbs…" she greeted him.

Jackson stared at her wide eyes "Are you and Jethro dating?" He asked confused.

Ziva shook her head "No! I am staying here because my apartment was…burnt…Tony is also staying here….Is Gibbs expecting you?"

"Sorry about the assumption of you and Jethro…he usually only lets women open his door if he is dating them."

"Gibbs is like my father…old enough to be…I'm not into that"

Jackson laughed. "And no…he isn't expecting me…I thought I'd surprise him"

Ziva smiled "I'm sure he'll be happy to see you"

Jackson walked in and greeted Tony as Ziva went down to the basement. "Gibbs…you have a visitor"

Gibbs raised his eyebrows "Another one?"

Ziva smiled "I don't think you'll mind this one as much"

Gibbs put his chisel down and followed Ziva up. He saw who was sat on his sofa and a look of shock crossed his face. "Dad…what're you doing here?"

"I have to have a reason to visit my son, now do I?"

Gibbs shook his head and walked over. He put his arms round Jackson embracing him in a hug. "It's good to see you dad"

They sat talking for a while before the baby monitor started crackling and they heard Grace crying. Jackson looked at Gibbs "You have a baby?"

Gibbs laughed and shook his head as Ziva stood up and went and got Grace bringing her down. "No, she's my God-Daughter."

Jackson smiled at Ziva and Grace "I hate it when the father just ups and leaves the mom to raise the baby alone because 'he's not ready' for children and family"

Ziva shook her head "No…he is over there"

Jackson looked over at Tony "You're her baby's dad?"

Tony grinned "I'm her fiancée too"

Jackson grinned right back "Well congratulations"

"Thank you" Tony and Ziva spoke at the same time. They looked at each other and nodded. They stood up and spoke to both Gibbs's. "Goodnight, Gibbs…Jackson, it is a pleasure to see you again" Ziva said. Tony nodded to the both of them and followed Ziva out.

Jackson looked at Gibbs. "So, those two, huh?"

Gibbs nodded "Yep."

"She is exceedingly polite"

"Yeah, but she is dangerous. Especially when someone comes between her and her family"

"I thought you had rules against co-workers dating"

"Yeah, I do…then they went and broke it, he got her pregnant and hasn't left her side since…"

"I sense you don't like them being together."

"I'm happy for them. And they're happy."

Jackson nodded "It was like that with you and Shannon. I noticed a change…"

"Yeah…I know…"

"There is a change with them?"

"Yeah. Ziva's always wanted to have a family of her own, and DiNozzo gave that to her and I can't stop them loving each other. I don't think I would anyway. Tony's given Ziva what she's wanted for a long time…"

Jackson nodded. They were silent for a few minutes and they heard chatter. Gibbs looked at the baby monitor that Tony and Ziva had left down here. They heard them talking over it. "Tony!" Ziva was quiet and she had a laugh in her voice.

"Shh, Sweetcheeks…just go with the moment"

"Gibbs will kill us"

"Gibbs is downstairs with Jackson. He'll never know…now…let me get that…off you"

Ziva laughed and Gibbs picked up the baby monitor and spoke through it "If you two still want jobs in the morning, you need to stop what you're doing right now and go to sleep"

There was a hush on the other end of the monitor and then Tony's voice "On it boss"

Gibbs nodded and switched the baby monitor off and Jackson raised his eyebrows. Gibbs just shrugged "What?"

"How do you know what they were doing?"

"DiNozzo quite clearly said 'let me get that off you'…what do you think that means dad…."

"Maybe he was talking about…her shoes"

"Why would he…?"

Jackson shook his head "I have no idea. Anyway…I'm exhausted, Jethro…where can I sleep?"

"There is another room upstairs…not third door on the left"

Jackson nodded and picked his bag up heading up the stairs. He got to the third door on the left and opened it. When he walked in he stopped dead. Lying on the bed were Tony and Ziva kissing. Tony's torso was pressing against Ziva's. They jumped apart as soon as they heard the door open. Jackson stood staring at them for a minute and Gibbs came up the stairs stopping in the doorway. Jackson looked at everyone "I think I got the wrong room"

Gibbs nodded "Yeah, dad, I said not the third room on the left…"

Jackson pulled a face "Sorry…I misheard."

Gibbs nodded. "You can have the one next to this"

Jackson nodded and backed out of the room "Sorry"

Tony and Ziva laughed as he walked out and shut the door "Well that was awkward but at least it wasn't Boss" Tony commented.

Ziva nodded "Yes…but I think we should go to bed now"

"Honey, we're in bed"

"Okay…sleep"

"You know, I think that's a really good idea…" He kissed her forehead and wrapped his arms around her.

Gibbs opened the door and Tone and Ziva jumped again. He stared at them for a minute before picking something up "He forgot his bag" Tony nodded and Gibbs turned to speak before he left "You better not have been thinking of doing anything after my warning"

Tony shrugged "No, boss. I was just kissing her goodnight…"

"Uh-huh"

He turned and walked out and was about to close the door when Tony yelled out to him. "Boss, you really need to work on your knocking skills"

Gibbs just closed the door and walked away.

The next day Ziva went into the office with Tony and Gibbs and Jackson and started looking into companies that do renovations for houses after fire damage. She found a good one and showed Tony who agreed. They made the calls they needed to and the company said they'd be there tomorrow mid-day to discuss and assess. The week flew by and before they knew it, it was the weekend. Gibbs and Ziva had arranged a farewell for Abby on that Sunday with the help of McGee, Tony, Ducky, Palmer and even Vance. Everyone was waiting in the Squadroom acting as if they were working, on Sunday and Ziva walked in with Abby. When they stepped out the elevator everyone jumped up with banners and party poppers and hooters. The banners read 'Good Bye and Good Luck!"

Abby grinned and then looked around. "Oh my god! Thank you!"

They all nodded and came up to her and gave her hugs. When the party was underway, Team Gibbs was in their small part of the squadroom and Tony and Abby exchanged glances before nodding. Abby typed something up on McGee's computer and Tony walked over to Ziva with Grace. At McGee's computer Abby pressed enter and on the plasma a message came up for Ziva. "Happy Mother's Day, Ziva"

Ziva stared at it confused and wide eyed. Tony handed her Grace and a present he had been concealing. "Happy Mother's Day, Sweetcheeks"
