And here's the chapter I mentioned. It's short, so I hope it was worth the wait.

I do not own FMA.

Solf's frowned as he looked at the information before him. There were far too many problems currently for his liking, and the start of those problems was Lydia.

Finding her wasn't simple like it was supposed to be. Not that he should have had to search her down in the first place. She was supposed to have died already after all. However, she'd disappeared instead. Luckily for Solf, she'd would up in Scar company. That mere fact had sold the sketchy story he'd fed those working under him.

Shamefully though, that didn't mean he could capture her.

It seemed having dead weight with him hadn't slowed Scar down, or made him much easier to find. There had been that one soldier who had reported his findings to The Strong Arm alchemist, but the man had been too kind risk the life of poor, vulnerable Lydia. Others had commented the man, and so did Kimblee despite the fact that he sneered at him internally.

Then there was the incident with the drunk soldier.

His lip curled unintentionally at the thought of that debacle. The one time Lydia was separated from Scar, she was accosted by the most foolish drunk possible.

And the only reason they knew that, was because the bouncer who heard the shot had been related to a soldier under Kimblee, and had called it in after recognizing an injured Lydia. That man had also been commented despite his shortcomings.

The drunk had been less lucky, and had become yet another military test subject.

But even with Scar carrying an injured Lydia, he managed to evade capture easily.

And shortly after that, Marcoh had disappeared courtesy of Scar. It had been infuriating at the time, and still was. But that loss came with an unexpected boon. With Scar party up another member, it was clear even he was showing the strain of having another member.

Solf's expression relaxed, with everything considered, it wouldn't be long before he'd taken down his opponent, slaughtered Lydia, and recaptured Marcoh.

Yep, it's Kimblee. I couldn't resist writing a chapter from his POV. Now that I look at it, he seems to be missing quite a lot of details.

Next chapter should have us catching up with the story line again.
