Last one.
The guys and I were heading to the studio for practice. It had been a good day, overall. I think I'm getting through to Utau now. She glares less and less, and sometimes actually doesn't mind me bugging her. Haha, I knew she wouldn't be able to resist me for long.
…
"What the hell are you doing here?" Damn, who knew Kairi could be so venomous.
"Our studio flooded, so we'll be working here until the floors are replaced. What a shame, I didn't know this place was so low class." …Asher. I was certain. The dishrag that was hitting on Utau.
"It wasn't, until you got here." Fujisaki, as dependable as ever.
"What a warm welcome." Sarcasm from Mike.
"Well, if you could just show us which room you use so we can stay as far away from it as possible, that'd be great." Finally. Looks like Chris is the only one with some sense. Although he did harass Amu…
"Our pleasure." Tadase said, with an actual glare. I didn't think he could pull it off anymore, but apparently he still has the firey-eyes if he really wants. "This is ours. You'll find a comfortably-sized room on the other end of the building, with a separate entrance as well," he said, gesturing in the direction they were to go.
Hopefully, we wouldn't run into them again.
…I spoke too soon.
Mike had pulled me aside, saying he had to talk to me alone about something important. Kairi silently urged me to do so, even after the dramatic eye-roll I gave back to him. I knew if I didn't, he'd chew me out later with the whole "know your opponent" bit. No thanks. So, having no choice, I followed him around the corner.
"Alright, we're alone. Now what did you want to tell me?"
"I wanted to talk about Asher."
"Psh. I don't want to think about that kid. No thanks. I'm done. Goodbye." I had turned to walk away, when my arm was yanked back roughly.
"Step off Utau."
"…What did you just say to me?"
"You heard exactly what I said."
"Tch. Why should I?"
"Because. She and Asher kinda have a thing going. And he wants you to leave his girl alone."
"Hah! Yeah right. When exactly did that happen, huh?"
"That's none of your business, now is it."
"Then I have no reason to believe you."
"I think this is reason enough." He proceeded to produce his cell from the pocket of his jacket to show me a picture.
Two people seemingly sitting on the edge of a building rooftop, looking out at the sunset. One was definitely Asher, that douche. The other…
Unmistakably Utau.
"…no" My voice didn't come off as strong as I had intended.
"C'mon, did you really think she liked you? Face it, she was just playing you, bro. After all, you're less competition when you're under her thumb. I'm sorry it turned out this way. I thought you should know though. I'd rather not watch her crush you. You seem cool. I was hoping we could be friends after all this."
"Yeah… well I've gotta go. Thanks, man. You're pretty cool yourself."
I'm upset, this seems rushed. Whatever. Screw it I'm done lol
I spent way too long for these three short and bad chapters to be all I've produced but... such is life
