A/N: Here's another chapter for you lovelies!

First things first! I think I was not able to respond to two reviews D: See, I opened the respond link, but my internet wasn't working, so I was like "I'll do it later" but I couldn't remember which two it was, so I apologize!

Second things second :P I did get a review saying that they think Cheerios is a Brittana thing... I guess I understand how some of you would have that point of view, but I don't see really how dressing up as Cheerios for Halloween would be too Brittana or anything, even if Dani was never a Cheerio. I hope you all don't mind :)

PLEASE enjoy, favorite, follow and REVIEW!

Dani didn't know what to say. Dani's parents actually thought that they could finally do the relationship mending correctly... Enough that they would go all the way to Lima to have Thanksgiving dinner with Dani and Santana and Santana's parents?

"Um, I can ask them I guess," Dani stammered out. "I mean, you'd have to fly out to Lima."

"Well, like I said, we have the week off. And it'd be, uh, nice to meet um, Santana's family," her dad muttered. Dani had a sneaking suspicion that her mom was making her dad say these things, but the fact that he was listening to her in that aspect had to prove something. Right?

"Okay, yeah, I'll ask Santana and her parents when Santana gets home later," Dani told him.

"Okay great. Just uh, give me a call, okay?" he asked.

"Sure."

"Talk to you soon."

"Yeah," Dani said, before hanging up and setting her phone down. She put both hands on the steering wheel and sighed. What the hell was up with her parents? Were they going to keep failing, or finally do something right?

She was still flustered over it when she got home, so she pulled out her phone and texted her girlfriend.

To Santana- Got the uniform, so we're all set for tomorrow! Are you too busy, or can I call you real fast?

From Santana- Great! No, not too busy, I'm on a snack break ;)

Dani clicked the call button on her phone and waited for Santana to answer. "Hey, my sexy girlfriend."

"So you know how your parents asked to have us over for Thanksgiving?" Dani blurted, not bothering with pleasantries.

"Uh, yeah," Santana answered, clearly confused. "Why, do you not want—"

"No, no," Dani interrupted her immediately. "It's just, my parents called asking us both to come to their place for Thanksgiving. But I told them we're going to your parents' and then Kurt's wedding and they asked if they could come to Thanksgiving with your parents too."

"Like, they want to come to Lima and have Thanksgiving dinner with my parents?" Santana asked, sounding a little dumbfounded. No doubt that she was remembering how Dani's dad had been so against Santana's parents accepting her for who she was.

"Yep, that's what they said. I told them I'd ask you and your parents," Dani finished.

"Well, I have to get back on set for a bit. You're welcome to call my mom," Santana suggested.

"Alright," Dani agreed with a light sigh. "Love you."

"Love you, too."

The line ended and Dani fumbled with her phone, scrolling through her contacts until she found Maribel Lopez. She hit the call button.

"Dani! I haven't heard from you in a while," came the woman's cheerful voice. It was a good cheerful, though, not like the creepy cheerful that always came from Dani's mom.

"How've you been?" Dani asked, not wanting to jump to the point.

"Good! We're really excited for Thanksgiving though! Can't wait to see you girls again! But I'm sure you had a reason for calling, si?" Maribel asked.

Dani chuckled. "Yes, I did. See, my parents asked me and Santana to come to their place for Thanksgiving today—"

"Oh, well if you'd rather go there, we—"

"Oh no," Dani interrupted immediately, "trust me, we're going to your place. No way am I going to suffer through a dinner with just Santana, me and my horrible parents. But see, I told them we were going to your place in Lima, and they asked if they could join. They've been trying, albeit unsuccessfully, to rejoin my life."

"Well, Dani, if you don't have a huge problem with it, we don't mind a few extra guests. Maybe we'll knock a little sense into their conservative brains, yeah?" Maribel proposed with a chuckle.

Dani smiled. Santana's mom felt more like family to Dani than her own mom ever had. "Hopefully. Thanks a bunch, I'll call my dad and let him know. I'm hoping that if what they're trying doesn't work, they'll at least realize that they need to give up."

"They'll come around, Dani," Maribel insisted. "You'll see."

"Speaking of coming around, how's Santana's Abuela feeling about me and Santana lately?" Dani asked skeptically.

"Well, haven't heard any complaints about our Thanksgiving plans. She actually seems a little excited about them, so hopefully that's a good sign."

"Yeah, that's good," Dani agreed with a smile. "Hey, thanks a lot. I'm going to call my parents and then make some food before Santana gets home. I'll talk to you later."

"No problem," Maribel answered cheerfully. "And Dani, remember that I'm always here if you need to talk, okay?"

"Okay, thanks again!"

The line ended and Dani scrolled through her recent calls. She hadn't saved her dad's number. She quickly did, though, and then called it. He answered almost immediately. "Dani?"

"Yep," Dani confirmed. "Maribel said it's fine if you guys want to come to Thanksgiving."

"Oh." He sounded surprised, as if he hadn't thought that they would. "Okay, great! So, we'll make plans to be there for it then."

"Okay," Dani said simply. "I've gotta go."

"Yeah, of course. See you."

"Yeah."

These awkward phone calls have got to stop, Dani thought as she tossed her phone down onto the couch and made her way into the kitchen. There really wasn't much food to cook with, since they really only bought breakfast foods unless they were making something specific for dinner.

Deciding that she didn't care about stereotypes on food, she decided to make pancakes for dinner. Pancakes were, after all, amazing.

They were done when Santana got home, and the Latina immediately gave a confused look. "Pancakes?"

"I'm in the mood for something that tastes good," Dani answered with a shrug. "And we have like no other food except for cereal."

"We're breakfast people," Santana decided. She set down her purse and phone and embraced the blonde, who had just set the pancakes and two other plates down onto the table.

Dani pressed her lips against Santana's and melted in her arms. Whatever stress or annoyance she'd been feeling previously vanished in their embrace. "How was your day?" Dani mumbled against Santana's lips.

"Not near as good as it would've been if I'd been spending it with you," Santana grumbled. Dani blushed slightly and rolled her eyes. "But it was pretty good."

"Mine was boring. Oh, and your Mami said it's fine if my parents come for Thanksgiving. So... looks like the Taylor and Lopez families are going to combine for Thanksgiving," Dani told the Latina.

"Taypez... Loplor..." Santana mused.

Dani scrunched up her face. "What the hell?"

"Our last names squished together," Santana explained as though it were obvious.

"Oh," Dani answered with an eye roll. "Well, Taypez sounds better than Loplor. Our first names would sound better squished together I bet."

"Sani?" Santana questioned with a raise of her eyebrows. "Ooh, Dantana!"

"Okay, maybe they're all weird," Dani decided with a laugh. "Let's sit down, I'm hungry."

They ate their pancakes in a matter of minutes, because pancakes are just that good. Afterwards, they decided that they should probably make sure that the Cheerio costumes fit, considering how Cheerios were on a very strict diet that Dani and Santana weren't on.

Luckily, though, the costumes fit just fine. "Wow, these are hot," Dani commented, checking out her girlfriend's ass.

"I know right!" Santana exclaimed. "Easy to see why Puck slept with literally every Cheerio."

Dani quirked up an eyebrow. "Ew."

"If you'd have known me in high school walking around in this, you would sleep with me too!" Santana exclaimed.

"Yeah, but I also sleep with you now," Dani teased. "And I wouldn't sleep with all cheerios. I mean, Quinn? Brittany? No."

Santana laughed at that. "If you'd been a Cheerio I would've definitely slept with you. Assuming I hadn't been dating Brittany of course."

"I thought we decided that if I'd gone to McKinley you would've fallen in love with me first anyway," Dani piped up.

"Right, we did," Santana acknowledged with a smile.

They changed out of the costumes into sweat pants and tanks, and curled up on the couch together. The TV was on, and another episode of A New NY Life was on. Dani was watching it, but Santana was just curled into her side half asleep.

It wasn't very late, but Dani felt tired from her conversation with her dad. And clearly Santana was tired, too. They fell asleep together on the couch in the hour after the episode of A New NY Life finished.

The next morning, Dani woke up early in the AM, since she'd gone to sleep at only around eight. She groaned from her awkward sleeping position on the couch, and pulled herself up and off the couch. Santana, who had been leaning against her, slumped instead against the arm of the couch.

Dani glanced at the clock and saw that it was six in the morning. She padded into the kitchen and poured two bowls of cereal and milk, before making her way back to the couch and sitting on the small part of it that Santana wasn't on.

"Santana," Dani coaxed softly in a singsong voice, "wake up!"

"No," Santana grumbled, clearly already awake.

"Santana," Dani whined, getting the Latina to at least sit up. The blonde passed one of the bowls to Santana, who happily began to eat.

"What time is Rachel's party tonight?" Santana asked.

"Seven," Dani answered. "Which is good, because I'll get home from the studio around six thirty."

As the hour rolled by, the girls got up and ready for the day. Santana had to leave for the set at seven-thirty, and when the time got there she gave Dani a goodbye kiss and then left.

Dani had a diner shift at noon, and then at two-thirty she had to head to the studio until six-thirty. She was glad that she had a relatively full day today, considering how empty her day was the day before and how it hadn't gone all that well.

She laid around texting Quinn, who had just finished up a morning class and was getting ready to hop on the train to New York. It only took two hours or so to get there, but Quinn said she didn't have anything else to do anyway.

At noon, Dani went to her diner shift, which she shared with Kurt, and they talked about the costume party and about the wedding while waiting tables. After her shift, Dani walked back to her apartment, changed, and then left for the studio.

She was nearly done recording her second song, one that was written by the writers and not her, and she couldn't be happier about it. The recording process was making steady progress, so Dani could probably be done with her album in February or March of the next year. To say she was excited would be a huge understatement.

She got home at six-thirty, just like she'd guessed, to an excited Latina. Santana was already wearing her Cheerios uniform, and Dani quickly changed into hers.

"Damn, you look even more hot in it now than you did yesterday," Santana commented as her eyes moved up and down Dani's body hungrily.

"You don't look so bad yourself," Dani returned with a smirk. "Seriously, how could your school allow uniforms like this? The cheerleaders at my school had to have fingertip length skirts."

"Lima is a weird place," was all Santana offered as explanation. Dani gave her a confused look, but just nodded.

They left the apartment for the party, hopping into Dani's car. Dani had told Santana that she could use her car if she ever wanted to, as long as Dani wasn't going to need it, but Santana insisted that she liked using taxis and subways. Dani didn't mind taxis, and subways were okay, but she got a similar feeling on a subway as she did on an elevator. Like she might get trapped or something.

They got to Rachel's apartment building and climbed the stairs up to the level of the apartment. "We are going to be the hottest ones at this party," Santana declared.

"Do you think they'll be surprised at the costumes?" Dani asked with a chuckle.

"Let's find out," Santana suggested, wiggling her eyebrows.

I forgot to say this in the last update... but Ale about your comment... shhhhhhhhh XD XD XD

Halloween next chapter =) Lol at the fact that after Thanksgiving I post Halloween, even though I just wrong the Thanksgiving. So watch something similar will end up happening for Christmas just you wait lol. Actually I'm going to try to get New Years synced with the story, so let's see how that works out :)

Taypez scene: I wrote it at 1:30 AM and I was totally freaking out and laughing about it so don't judge the weirdness in that part. Like "They ate the pancakes in a matter of minutes, because pancakes are just that good.".. XD

I love pancakes.
