A/N: Thank you for the reviews it is much appreciated this chapter Niamh and Lynsey explain what happened, Eoghan and Niamh snap at each other, Niamh gets pissed off at the club and gets angry at Brendan's release not being fast enough.
Niamh put down Padraig and went in to the kitchen. Ste was stood there already holding a can of lager in his hand, he handed it to her. She smiled at him it was like he was reading her mind.
"Thank you" said Niamh. She went in to the living room and sat in between Declan and Eileen. Padraig was sat on the floor. Lynsey and Eoghan were sharing the arm chair. Ste sat down at the living room table opposite Amy. Amy looked confused which Niamh couldn't blame her for it.
"What the hell has been happening?" asked Eileen looking between Niamh and Lynsey. Niamh smiled so they weren't going to do small chit chat for a bit just straight in there with the questions. Lynsey looked at her and nodded.
"It's a long story but I am willing to tell it Niamh has been through enough in the last few days" said Lynsey. Niamh looked at Lynsey frowning she was about to argue that Lynsey had been through more but she heard Eoghan scoff.
"Come of it Lynsey, she not been through as much as you have its Niamh's fault in the first place" said Eoghan. What was his problem? He had never liked her. He always seemed to dislike Niamh. She always put it down to the fact that he and Brendan never seem to get on.
"Actually Niamh saved me by going along with his games, she nearly got killed by him so lay of her Eoghan" said Lynsey she looked defiantly at Eoghan.
"Sorry Lynsey" said Eoghan he put his arm around Lynsey's waist and pulling her closer to him.
Niamh had always tried to get on with him for Lynsey's sake but it had never worked and Eoghan always seemed to be angry at her or Brendan. She looked at Lynsey and smiled at her giving her that encouragement.
"It all started in December last year; a woman in the village got murdered, then in February I was doing a webcam service to help people and I got attacked he would have died if it weren't for Riley and Doug, Silas spoke to me but I didn't know it was him until a few days after I wanted him to come clean about it so when he had a heart attack I kept the oxygen from him trying to make him come clean but his daughter came in and shouted at me, then I was suspended" said Lynsey she winced and Niamh looked at her unsure of what to do. The talking seemed to be doing her some good but it seemed to hurting her at the same time.
"Are you okay to continue?" asked Eileen. Lynsey nodded and smiled at Niamh.
"Yeah, Niamh came back battered and bruised, I was so glad to see her because she became my rock, her and Brendan were the only ones that believed me about Silas, then for months he was terrifying he was leaving me and Niamh notes in the flat, then when the boys were over Niamh found a webcam in the living room" said Lynsey. Eileen and Declan gasped in horror. Niamh looked at Padraig he just shrugged.
"My sons were in danger and no one felt the need to tell me" said Eileen glaring at Lynsey. Niamh didn't like it, it was not Lynsey's fault it was all Silas's.
"Excuse me Eileen if I may say your daughter was in danger than your sons because Niamh was more than happy to nearly get herself murdered for Lynsey's sake she would fight life and limb for her brother so lay of them" said Ste. Niamh looked at him and felt a lot of gratitude towards Ste. Niamh listened to the rest of Lynsey's story feeling angry at the way she had been treated by Silas he had hit her over the head. It was horrible listening to.
Eileen started crying and then hugged Niamh tightly. Niamh pulled out of it and looked at her.
"You have got to come home you're not safe here Niamh" cried Eileen. Niamh shook her head at once she weren't leaving what so ever.
"I have a life here, my family and friends, I am joining the college next month, I am needed here" said Niamh defiantly.
"You know what? You are too much like him, I would take your mum's offer" said Eoghan. She looked at him and he was glaring at her she glared back.
"Yeah something that happens to be true I am like my dad, I take more after him and I am better for it" said Niamh angrily.
"It will end up destroying you, you won't know it until you are destroyed" said Eoghan. Niamh jumped up anger causing through her. He didn't have any clue about Brendan or their lives. Eoghan got up to and she got in his face. "All Brendan is a stupid little que..." before Eoghan could finish his sentence. Niamh punched him in the face; nobody ever was to call Brendan queer.

Niamh was walking to the club with Lynsey after the fight Eileen had said her goodbyes quickly taking the boys away before she get a proper talk with them. She was pissed off with Eileen because she had been in the village while she was in hospital and had not bought the boys to visit her which really annoyed her. Eoghan had gone soon after them. Lynsey had said goodbye to him while Niamh had ignored him. She hated him so much he knew Brendan was gay so that interested her more. They got to the club and marched in. Cheryl, Nancy and Texas were sat around they all looked around. Cheryl got up and looked at them apologetically.
"It was Silas that was the serial killer" said Cheryl. Niamh nodded and looked at Lynsey giving her this argument.
"Yes what me and Niamh have been saying all this time, how could you disbelief me, you've known me since I was this high" said Lynsey she signalled the height to her waist which Niamh smiled at. They had been friends since they were six according to both of them making the whole thing a lot worse because Cheryl hadn't believed her. "Niamh is your niece, she nearly got murdered, where was your visit at the hospital" Niamh looked at her.
"you didn't visit me at all, Ste practically turns in to a vampire not sleeping and staying at my bed side and you don't visit me" said Niamh.
"I am so sorry" said Cheryl. Niamh shook her head and looked at Lynsey who was shaking her head to. Her anger was back and she glared at all of them with distaste.
"Save it Cheryl!" said Lynsey.
"This whole village has got blood on their hands!" shouted Niamh. She linked arms with Lynsey and walked away with their heads held high.

Over the next few days Niamh got back to normal in a sense but Brendan was still in prison which was annoying. They moved back in to the flat with Cheryl due to Ste's place getting over crowded but they didn't talk as much as they should have done. Niamh was in the flat late evening both Cheryl and Lynsey were out neither of them wanting to be in the same flat. She was going to try and make it more a happy flat because at the moment it was so awkward it was bad enough the police were keeping Brendan longer than they were meant to be without explanation without the flat being such an awkward place to live. She was going to cook and they were going to have a sit down meal. She went in to the kitchen and started to cook. Soon it was nearly done. She picked her phone up and text Cheryl and Lynsey telling them to come home. She set the table and poured the bubbly in to the glasses. Cheryl and Lynsey came in to the flat and smiled her.
"What's all this?" asked Lynsey.
"I decided we all need to have a family meal just the three of us" said Niamh. They all sat down and tucked in to the food.
"We can see she didn't get your cooking skills from Brendan, this is really nice" said Cheryl. Lynsey laughed which made Niamh smile she hadn't seen her do that in ages.
"Gosh remember that Irish stew he made" said Lynsey. Cheryl laughed and poured out Lynsey and herself another drink. Niamh loved seeing them like this being all light hearted and happy.
"Hard to forget, would you like some carbon with your stew" said Cheryl. Niamh realised what they talking about and laughed. She felt happy that her plan had worked. Most her plans seemed to work.
The rest of the evening was fun and Niamh went to bed early because she was still tired because of the whole Silas thing. It had taken a lot of her. She fell to sleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.
She got woken up by some movement at the end of her bed she felt unsure of this and felt a fear. What if Silas was out? What if he had come back to finish the job? She sat up quickly putting her fists ready she was getting herself ready to defend herself. She was surprised to see it wasn't Silas but it was Brendan.
"Jesus Niamh I didn't mean to wake you" said Brendan. Niamh edged closer to him and he pulled her close to him so she was sat on his crossed lap he hugged her tight practically cradling her. She would usually pull away but giving the circumstances she needed this kind of hug.
"Sorry, are you ok?" asked Niamh. Brendan pulled away a tad looking down at her. She saw worry in his eyes.
"I should be asking you that shouldn't I?" asked Brendan. He touched the bruise on her neck and she giggled. She had always been ticklish on her neck. He smiled at her "I was so worried about you nearly broke out the prison"
"I am fine honestly, just a bit tired and drained, glad you didn't break out then you would have been in longer" said Niamh. Brendan smirked at her.
"Maybe you need a holiday" said Brendan. Niamh smiled at him and nodded.
"Chance would be a fine thing" said Niamh. Brendan winked and Niamh frowned. What had he got planned?
"Pack a bag and meet me at the car in five minutes" said Brendan. Niamh nodded and Brendan pulled her closer again. Then he walked out the room and Niamh started packing her clothes in to her suitcase smiling wondering what Brendan's mystery holiday had in store for them.
