Maya's life has been a roller coaster ride luckily she had her friends to keep it balanced. She had been through the ups and down's to much that anyone her age should be able to handle but some how she did. Was it her friends, Shawn Hunter, The Matthews that helped? Maya wasn't sure all she new was that she was in for a bumpy ride.

37. The Packing

A/n lots of you were asking when the road trip is going to be and I am happy to tell you that this is the first chapter of it. Sorry it came out late working on trying to get them out faster. Hope you enjoy.

Chapter 36: The Packing

Maya had been up for ages, she couldn't sleep she was too excited that today had finally come. She was going on the road trip. She had been thinking about all the schemes she could pull with Shawn all the ways she could tease Corey, the new memories she would make with Riley, getting to know Eric and Morgan better but most of all the last nights and alone time she could be spending with Josh.

''Maya'' Gammy called out

''Yes Gammy'' Maya yelled before racing out so see her sitting with the nurse.

''you were pacing again'' Gammy said

''no I wasn't'' Maya said

''Maya you pace when your excited about something or in deep thought so which is it'' Gammy said

''I wasn't pacing'' Maya said

''Maya I can feel the drift coming through'' Gammy said

''fine I was pacing'' Maya said

''so is it excited pacing or deep thought'' Gammy said

''excited'' Maya said

''let me guess the road trip'' Gammy said

''how did you know'' Maya said

''with the little sleep you got last night you were sleep talking about some plan you and Shawn were going to pull'' Gammy said

''really'' Maya said

''that among other things'' Gammy said

''well hopefully I didn't spill all my secrets'' Maya said

''you wish'' Gammy said

Maya laughed

''you know for an old lady you have quite the sense of humor'' the nurse said

''yes I do'' Gammy said with a chuckle

''sorry I keep forgetting you name what is it again'' Maya said

''Aubrey'' Aubrey said

''Aubrey, Aubrey, Aubrey somehow that name has to stick in my head'' Maya said

''that's ok'' Aubrey said

'' Maya have you eaten yet'' Gammy said

''I'm too excited to eat'' Maya said

''well I don't want you to starve'' Gammy said

''I'll eat something don't worry'' Maya said

''don't forget Josh is coming to pick you up soon'' Gammy said

''do I look ok'' Maya said

''you look fabulous'' Gammy said

''thankyou'' Maya said

''have you packed'' Gammy said

''I pack when Riley came over yesterday'' Maya said

'' are you sure you took everything'' Gammy said

''as much as I could fit into the bag'' Maya said

''well don't forget you mum said she was going to be coming down for a day or so'' Aubrey said

''oh yeah I totally forgot about that'' Maya said

Then then was a knock at the door and Maya raced to answer it.

''hey gorgeous'' Josh said

''hey handsome'' Maya replied before wrapping her arm around Josh's neck and giving him a kiss.

''well that's one way to be greeted'' Josh said with a smile on his face.

''wanted to make you remember my greeting'' Maya said

'' guess you're going to have to continue reminding me.'' Josh said

''guess I will'' Maya said before giving him another kiss.

''you ready'' Josh asked

''yeah just let me get my bag'' Maya said before racing off to her room.

''Josh'' Gammy said

''Gammy'' Josh said before walking over to give her a hug

''how you doing'' Josh said

''I've had better days'' Gammy said

''you have to have the bad ones to make the good ones seem even better'' Josh said

''to true'' Gammy said

''oh Josh I don't think you've met Aubrey'' Gammy said

''don't think I have. Hey Aubrey I'm Josh'' Josh said

''nice to meet you I'm Gammy's Nurse'' Aubrey said

''you got to watch out for this one she's a tricky one'' Josh joked

Gammy and Aubrey Laughed.

''so how do you know Gammy'' Aubrey said

''I'm Maya's boyfriend'' Josh said

''so you're the one I keep hearing about she doesn't stop talking about you'' Aubrey said

''do not'' Maya said coming back from out of her room.

''can't stop talking about me hey'' Josh said with a smile

''no'' Maya said

''you sure'' Josh said

''fine I must admit I might talk about you sometimes'' Maya said

''cute'' Josh said

''yeah shut up'' Maya said pushing Josh's shoulder

''well you two have a fun time ok'' Gammy said

''will do call me if anything happens'' Maya said giving her a hug

''nothing will happen I got Aubrey looking after me'' Gammy said

''I will do the best I can'' Aubrey said

''ok josh give Gammy a hug good bye'' Gammy said holding out her arms

''bye Gammy'' Josh said giving her a hug

''I want no funny business from any of you on this trip ok keep it PG rated'' Gammy said

''you sound like Corey'' Maya said

''yes Maya yes I did'' Gammy said

''ok well we really got to go have a good time'' Maya said

''bye'' Gammy said

''Bye '' Aubrey said

''see ya guys call you when we get there'' Josh said as he walked out with Maya.

Josh and Maya were in the car driving to the Matthews house.

''so where were you yesterday I tried calling you'' Josh said

''I was out with Casey'' Maya said

''Casey?'' Josh said

''yeah stuff happened at the hospital and we went out for lunch'' Maya said

''right'' Josh said

''I called him on the trip for one day hope that's ok'' Maya said

''yeah that's fine'' Josh said

''good'' Maya said

''you two seem to be pretty good friends'' Josh said

''you're not jealous are you'' Maya said

'' should I be'' Josh said

''Joshua Matthews I have liked you ever since I can remember I'm not suddenly going to fall for someone else'' Maya said

''so I shouldn't be worried'' Josh said

''no you big goofball and I would kiss your right now to prove it but you are driving so don't want to distract you'' Maya said

Josh made a pouty face and gave her puppy dog eyes.

''fine one quick one'' Maya said before leaning over and giving josh a quick peck on the lips.

''your gorgeous you know that right'' Josh said

''I believe you have told me once or twice'' Maya said

''guess I should keep calling you that then'' Josh said

''guess you should'' Maya said

Maya and josh arrived at the Matthews apartment and knocked at the door.

''wow they don't even answer their own door'' Josh said knocking again

''I've been waiting for this road trip for ages'' Maya said

''not as long as me'' Josh said

''what do you mean'' Maya said

''doesn't matter'' Josh said blushing

''No tell me'' Maya said

''do you think they left'' Josh said

''they better not have'' Maya said knocking on the door

''come on'' Josh said knocking on the door

''well I was originally going to tell you that I liked you on the road trip'' Josh said

''our first kiss was at the hospital when gammy was sick'' Maya said

''oh coarse I do it when I first kissed you'' Josh said

''I kissed you then you asked to kiss me again'' Maya said

''I think we should just re-enact it'' Josh said

''you just want another kiss don't you'' Maya said

''fine'' Maya said before giving Josh a quick kiss

''question 7 can I kiss you again'' Josh said

''I guess you do remember'' Maya said

Josh smiled before giving her a kiss.

Suddenly the door of the Matthews apartment was opened

''that is not the first thing I wanted to see'' Corey said

''sorry but you didn't answer the door fast enough'' Josh said

''who care my Brotha'' Corey said

''My Brotha'' Josh said before hugging Corey

''everyday'' Maya said

''and hello to you to Maya'' Corey said

''hey'' Maya said giving Corey a hug

''you fit all your stuff into that small bag'' Corey said

''please this is her handbag she has a whole cupboard in my car'' Josh said

''where is everyone'' Josh said

''Mum and Dad are picking up the bus were going to take, Riley is talking to Lucas trying to get him to come along, Topanga is helping Auggie pack, Morgan is out buying snacks, and Eric is just being Eric'' Corey said pointing to Eric who eating acorns

''this again really'' Josh said

''Mr Squirrels'' Eric said

''everyday'' Josh said

''you guys excited'' Eric said

''so how are Mum and Dad anyway'' Josh said

''I think their doing fine I think you forget you're the only one who lives at home'' Eric said

''oh yeah'' Josh said

''who cares My Brothas'' Corey said

''My Brothas'' Josh said hugging them

''everyday'' Maya said

''they all rolled their eyes at her

''so where's Shawn'' Maya said

''Shawn is right'' Corey said

''Here I am'' Shawn said

''how long were you there for'' Maya said

''long enough to see all of that embarrassing door opening thing'' Shawn said

''well it's good to see you'' Maya said

''you to'' Shawn said

''yeah I missed you all something fierce'' Corey said

''hey partner come check this out'' Shawn said

Maya walked over to him to see the piece of paper he was holding in his hands

''1) by more toilet paper 2) pack tooth brush 3) get flowers for her'' Maya started reading the list

''opps wrong list'' Shawn said swapping the list

''get flowers for her'' Corey said

''moving on'' Shawn said

Maya read the list .it was a list of schemes that Shawn had written for them to do

''I love it'' Maya said

''The bus is here'' Topanga said as she ran into the room with Auggie

'' all right everyone get your things were moving out'' Eric said as everyone grabbed their luggage and walked out to put it on the bus.

About three minuted later Topanga came rushing back in the house

''I have another kid how did I forget that again'' Topanga said

''Riley Honey were going'' Topanga yelled
