AN: Just a short one before we get into some seriously heavy stuff and the end is only about 10 chapters away for this story. I've already written the end. Although I'm considering focusing on some of my other characters and their stories. If I do that I'll let you all know
"It's not so bad right?" Jax asked in a soft voice that jostled Jensen out of her sleep.
"Hey, when did you get back?" She looked over at the clock on the bedside table before she hazily looked at the pack n play she had laid the babies in. Three in the morning and everyone else was still asleep.
"I've been here a while."
"You watching me sleep?" Jensen asked as she turned over and curled herself against him.
"Yeah, just a little." He admitted with a smile lacing his voice.
"What were you asking? Is what so bad?" She was awake now and even though her eyes were closed she was intrigued by the question.
"This, the coming lockdown, staying cooped up here for a few days it's not so bad right?"
"Cramped quarters with porn stars and children all day? No, it's not so bad. I mean unless you have your alcoholic dead beat father stinking up the place, then it's hell." Jensen joked slightly, although it wasn't all a lie.
"But you understand why we need to do this? We need to keep you safe, just until thing die down." Jensen listened to his words for a minute.
"Die down?" She snorted. "You know, I noticed my gun's missing?"
"When did you realise that?"
"Oh, about fifteen minutes after you left on that mission Monday night. You know if you needed guns you could have just asked? Hell I was going to give it to you anyways but you snuck out before I had a chance to offer it."
"Okay so I might have seen it sticking out of the top of your bag."
"Sticking out the top, buried under a mound of clothes, tomato, tomahto." Jensen mocked slightly. "If my gun helps get us out of here faster and back into our house, keep it for as long as you need."
"You really don't like it here do you?"
"No, I love visiting, I love hanging out for a few hours, I love spending the night to get away from the kids, but I don't love the kids sleeping two feet away." Jensen whispered her response but obviously not quite quietly enough.
"If I'm forced to sleep in here with you will you at least cut the chatter and just fuck?" Cate yelled from her place on the small sofa.
"Where else would you be?" Liam growled.
"Fucking Juice if she had her way." Leo laughed earning a smack from someone.
"Watch it." Russell confirmed that it was him who had smacked Leo. "That's your sister you're talking about."
"You want get out here?" Jensen asked Jax now that she was fully awake and so was everyone else. "Before the babies wake up?"
"Yeah. I've got some place we can go." Jax moved off the bed and dragged Jensen along with him. She realised that he was still fully dressed save for his shoes, which had been dumped by the door close to where Liam had made his bed on the floor.
They made their way out and up onto the roof of the clubhouse. Jensen looked out at the view. She had seen Jax up there a couple times but he had never taken her, she always assumed it was his private thinking place and she didn't want to mess with that.
"What's on your mind?" Jax asked as he sat next to her.
"Nothing." Jensen smiled up at him.
"You're a bad liar." He shook his head.
"I'm a very good liar, I just don't want to lie at you."
"So don't."
"It's been a week. I know you guys are going to do something but we can't just live here waiting." Jensen was going crazy in such close quarters and in the beginning it wasn't so bad it was just her and the kids but slowly more people had been trickling in some had kids, others were nomads, more often than not they were porn stars for the increase of lonely bikers.
"It's just going to be a few more days. The rest of the family will be in town by tomorrow and that's when we will make our move. We've been setting things up so that we don't end up back in jail."
"And that's smart, so I didn't want to say anything but all nine of us in a room? It's getting old fast."
"Yeah it is. That's why we're up here and look at this, the whole roof to ourselves." Jax mocked as he wrapped his arms around her shoulders. "Sure is nice to get away from your brother's snores."
"I don't know if you are the best person to complain about snoring." Jensen laughed but accepted the hug, grateful to block some of the cool wind. "You know how you asked me to marry you?"
"As I remember it you turned me down flat." Jax nodded so only the bottom of his chin brushed against her head.
"Yeah, I was wrong. I thought not making it official would save me some sort of heartbreak, would save my kids having to go through losing you if anything where to happen. But I was wrong, you're our family, we will miss you when you go to jail but we will be there for you when you get out. There's no reason I can think of not to marry you." Jensen whispered the last line almost to herself.
"What do you want me to say Jensen?" Jax asked finally after what felt like ages.
"Ask me again." She demanded. "Just one more time."
"Jensen O'Halloran, will you marry me?"
"Jackson Teller, I'm pregnant."
