After losing Kari to Phantomon, Matt, Kara, Sora went inside the warehouse while their digimon watched from outside. Matt growled out in anger as he slammed his fists on the side of the warehouse. "It's not your fault." said Sora as Kara cried silently.
"Yes it is. Tai asked me to protect them and I couldn't even protect one of them!" I let everyone down." said Matt, continuing to punch the wall.
"Stop it! Beating yourself up like this doesn't help us bring Kari back." said Labramon. At her sudden outburst, Matt looks over at Labramon and then at Kara to see that she's feeling the same way as he's feeling. "She's right. Matt, it seems to me there are two things you can do about this. Number 1: you can stand there and beat yourself about the whole thing or Number 2: we can find a way to rescue Kari. What's it going to be?" asked Sora.
"You two are right. Let's get her." said Matt as he turned around to face them. He then goes up to Kara, bringing her in for a hug. Matt mounted Garurumon, while Sora, Kara and Labramon were picked up by Garudamon.
Meanwhile Tai and Agumon were making their way to the convention center. "Hurry Agumon. The convention center's up ahead. That's where my parents are being held prisoner." said Tai. Just then, DemiDevimon flies overhead towards the convention center. "Huh? What's that?" asked Tai. Inside the convention center, Gatomon was still going through children that the Bakemon captured.
"Well, Gatomon, is this the 9th child?" Myotismon asked but Gatomon shakes her head no.
"Myotismon." said DemiDevimon, flying up to him.
"What is it?" asked Myotismon.
"You're going to love this boss. I've found the 9th child." said DemiDevimon, shocking both Myotismon and Gatomon.
"You did?" asked Myotismon.
"What? How did he do it?" asked Mimi.
"Oh no, not Kari." thought Gatomon.
"You hear that? It's over." said Myotismon as Gatomon growls at him. "Well, I have no use for these brats anymore." he said.
"Right. What should I do with them, O' evil one?" asked DemiDevimon.
"Make them go to sleep. I'll find a way to deal with them later." said Myotismon.
DemiDevimon then created a mist that put all of the kids, including Mimi, to sleep. Myotismon the grabs Gatomon and follows DemiDevimon to the location of the 9th child, but he doesn't see Tai and Agumon down below. "Myotismon." said Tai.
"Where could he be going?" asked Agumon. Back inside, Mimi was asleep on the floor with the other kids until her crest of Sincerity glows, causing her to wake up. Tai and Agumon run through the halls but are caught off by a bunch of Bakemon. "Agumon digivolve to…Greymon!"
Greymon then stands in front of Tai, ready to fight the Bakemon. "Nova Blast!" shouted Greymon, firing his attack at them, causing them to burst into data.
"They didn't stand a ghost of a chance." said Tai.
"Tai, you made it." said Mimi, running over to him.
"Mimi, where are the others?" asked Tai.
"They're all fast asleep. Myotismon put them under some kind of spell since he found the 9th child." said Mimi.
"Oh no, then that means he's found Kari." said Tai.
"Huh? Kari?" asked Mimi.
"Let's go." said Tai.
Meanwhile at the TV station, Izzy, Tentomon and Hiroaki were in an office room. "Hey look, there's Matt, Sora and Kara." said Izzy, looking out the window.
"What? Matt? What's he doing here?" asked Hiroaki. Just then, he sees Garurumon, Garudamon and Dobermon coming towards the TV station. "Ah, monsters!" yelled Hiroaki, jumping back.
"Actually sir, the technical name is Digimon. You see, they're not like the pretend monsters you've seen in old movies, destroying a bunch of old Japanese cities. Hey, well maybe that's a bad example but anyway the digimon Matt is riding is definitely on our side." said Izzy.
"What do you mean, our side?" asked Hiroaki.
"Well, you see there are good digimon and bad digimon. The good digimon are our friends. Just like Tentomon here." said Izzy.
"I'm more than good. I'm exceptional." said Tentomon.
"I wouldn't dare doubt you." said Hiroaki. Meanwhile Joe and TK were still making their way towards the others through the fog. "But Joe, why does Wizardmon have a tag and crest?" asked TK.
"He said that it belonged to the 9th digidestined. Do you think it could be true?" asked Joe.
Just then, they could hear Wizardmon coming around. "Are you awake?" asked TK.
"Who are you?" asked Wizardmon, seeing Joe and TK in front of him.
"I'm TK. nice to meet you." said TK.
"Kari!" said Wizardmon.
"Huh?" asked Joe and TK.
"Where's Kari?" asked Wizardmon.
"Kari?" asked TK.
"Who's Kari?" asked Joe.
"You've got to give this crest to Kari." said Wizardmon, holding out the crest of Light.
"You mean you want us to give that to Kara and Tai's sister, Kari?" asked Joe.
"Huh?" asked TK and Patamon.
"But if we have to deliver the crest to their sister Kari, then that must mean…she's the 9th digidestined child we've been looking for all along!" Joe yells.
"Gee, I'm always the last one to find out." said TK.
"We have no time to waste. Kari and Gatomon need this crest." said Wizardmon.
"Gatomon?" asked Joe.
"But she's one of the bad digimon who works for Myotismon." said TK.
"Are you saying Gatomon is one of the good guys?" asked Joe.
"Exactly." said Wizardmon, causing Joe and TK to look at each other.
Outside the TV station. "Matt! Sora! Kara! Hey, you guys! Hey!" said Izzy.
"Izzy, what are you doing here?" asked Sora, as she helped Kat off Kyubimon.
"Matt? What are you doing here?" asked Hiroaki as Matt hopped off Garurumon. "I told you to stay out of sight."
"I'm sorry dad." said Matt, looking down as Garurumon came over, making Hiroaki yell in shock.
"Hello, Matt's dad. Good to see you again." growled Garurumon.
"What do you mean again? Who are you? Have we met?" asked Hiroaki.
"You know me. I digivolved from Gabumon." said a smiling Garurumon.
"Gabumon? That's you?" asked Hiroaki.
"Hey!" Someone called out, making them look over to see Joe and TK arrived with Wizardmon.
"Joe! TK!" called Sora.
"Wizardmon!" called Kara.
"Hey, Matt! Daddy!" called TK.
"TK." said Matt, smiling.
"TK?" Hiroaki asked softly as TK hugged him around the waist and started crying.
"Dad!" cried TK.
"What are you doing here?" asked Hiroaki.
"When I saw all that stuff on television, I just couldn't stay home anymore. Mom wanted to come too, but we couldn't bring her." said TK.
"It's ok, son." said Hiroaki, pulling TK into a hug.
"I missed you, daddy." said TK. The rest of the digidestined watched as the spell caster walked over to Lillymon. "It's Wizardmon." said Izzy.
"What are you doing here?" asked Matt.
"Hmm. She was attacked by Myotismon, wasn't she?" asked Wizardmon as he looks over Lillymon.
"So what if she was?" Sora asked, defensively.
Wizardmon started moving his hands in different motions, then held them palms facing the fairy, this soft green light covering her and returning her color back to normal as she woke up. "Oh. Lillymon." gasped Sora.
"Wow." said Kara, wondering if she could touch Lillymon's wings.
"What's this? Wizardmon?" asked Lillymon as she flew up onto her feet, ready to fight, but TK and Kara ran in front of Wizardmon, holding their arms out protectively.
"Stop, don't attack him! Wizardmon's a good digimon. He's got the tag and crest." said TK.
"TK, Kara, he could be lying." said Matt.
"He's not lying, Matt." said Kara, pleading with Matt.
"No, Matt, it's all true. Just look." said Joe as Wizardmon held out the tag and the crest of Light for everyone to see.
"So this is the crest of light?" asked Sora.
"Yes. The tag and crest belong to Kari. We've got to help Gatomon. She was captured by Myotismon." said Wizardmon.
"Gatomon?" asked Sora.
"Yeah, Wizardmon said Gatomon belongs with Gatomon." said TK as Kara nodded.
"What?" everyone asked in shock.
"Now, where is Kari?" asked Wizardmon, making Matt frown and clench his fists.
"Well?" he asked.
"He's got her." said Matt.
"Gennai sent me an email a little while ago. If I recall correctly, he said the TV station is the center of Myotismon's fog barrier." said Izzy. The sound of bats came in and then a swarm of bats had shown up in the sky, being led by DemiDevimon with Myotismon carrying Gatomon in his hands with a smug look on his face.
"Look!" said Izzy.
"It's Myotismon." said Matt.
"Poor Gatomon." said Kara.
"He's got Gatomon…but not for long." said Wizardmon.
"Come on; let's head for the viewing platform." said Matt
"Right, I'll show you the way." said Hiroaki, but before they could move, Snimon and Tuskmon returned. Snimon tries to attack Sora and Kara with his sickle like blades but they manage to dodge it. Matt was then surrounded in blue as his digivice turned solid blue and shoots a beam through his tag, causing the crest of Friendship to come out. "Garurumon digivolve to…WereGarurumon!" shouted WereGarurumon, then attacks both green freaks.
"Leave this battle to us." said WereGarurumon.
"We can handle these Digi-clowns." said Zudomon.
"We'll get Kari. Come on, everyone. Let's go." said Matt as they all ran inside, leaving the three ultimate digimon outside to deal with Snimon and Tuskmon. Wizardmon groaned as he fell to his knees, making some of the digidestined stop. "Hey, Wizardmon, are you ok?" asked TK.
"Hey, let me give you a hand." said Hiroaki, helping him up. Meanwhile in the viewing platform of the TV station, a bunch of bats formed a black portal that Myotismon, Gatomon and DemiDevimon come through. "I've got you my pretty and your little cat too." said Myotismon, still holding Gatomon in his hand.
Outside, Greymon, Tai and Mimi had just arrived at the TV station to see the three ultimate digimon fighting against Myotismon's goons. "What's that?" asked Mimi.
"Greymon, hurry. They need your help." said Tai.
"You got it." said Greymon.
Back inside the TV station, in the viewing platform. "Little girl, why have you chosen to show yourself to me? Do you have any idea what's about to happen to you?" asked Myotismon.
"I've got a guess." said Kari.
"Then why?" Myotismon asked again.
"Because you were hurting all those people." said Kari.
"Huh?" asked Myotismon and Gatomon.
"Someone had to stop you from hurting innocent people." said Kari.
"My, what a thoughtful little girl you are. Gatomon, why won't you look at the 9th child's face?" asked Myotismon.
"Because she's not the 9th child. Who is she? I've never seen her before in my life." said Gatomon, trying to protect Kari.
"Huh?" asked Kari, unsure what her digimon was up to.
"Is that right?" said Myotismon and snaps his fingers. A second later, Gatomon hears Kari cry out in pain. "Kari!" yelled Gatomon but sees DemiDevimon pulling her hair.
"Oww! My hair! Oww!" cried Kari.
"Kari? Interesting that you know her name since you've never met her." said Myotismon and Gatomon looks down in defeat.
Meanwhile the rest of the digidestined, minus Tai and Mimi, were still making their way to the viewing platform. "Hurry, it's up here." said Hiroaki as they stood in front of the staircase.
"Got it, dad. Wait here." said Matt as they ran up the stairs.
"Thanks for the help." said Wizardmon as he hopped down.
"Are you sure you're all right?" asked Hiroaki.
"Yeah, digimon heal fast." said Wizardmon, running after the rest. Myotismon then releases Gatomon and she runs over to Kari. "Kari." said Gatomon, standing protectively in front of her.
"Together again, too bad it'll be short lived. Grizzly Wing!" said Myotismon, about to attack them.
"Tentomon digivolve to…Kabuterimon!"
This caused Myotismon to halt his attack and looked over to see the other seven digidestined along with Lillymon and Wizardmon. "Stay away from my sister!" yelled Kara as she ran over to Kari.
"Retriever Bark! Electro Shocker! Flower Cannon!" Kabuterimon, Labramon and Lillymon send their attacks but then, Myotismon just blew the attacks upward into the ceiling.
"It's getting a little noisy in here. Let's find someplace quiet." said Myotismon as he levitated himself, Kari and Gatomon up to the roof as Phantomon and DemiDevimon followed.
"Bring her back! Kari!" shouted Kara.
"Not so fast! WereGarurumon!" Matt yelled out the shattered windows. WereGarurumon climbed up the side of the building to get to the roof, then jumped in front of the vampire, making him laugh with his mouth closed.
"I'm getting sick of that laugh." said Sora.
"I hate his laugh more than anything." said Kara in agreement. Izzy was then surrounded in purple, causing his digivice to turn a solid purple and the crest of Knowledge shoots out of his tag. "Kabuterimon digivolve to…MegaKabuterimon!"
"We need you. Get Kari. MegaKabuterimon, go!" yelled Izzy.
"Let's go, Labramon." said Kara, as she ran towards Kari.
"Horn Buster!" shouted MegaKabuterimon, charging at Myotismon but he moves his hand, making MegaKabuterimon ram into WereGarurumon, knocking him off the roof, but he held onto the side.
"Crimson Lightning!" yelled Myotismon, using his attack on WereGarurumon's hands, making him fall off the roof, screaming.
"WereGarurumon!" Matt called.
"Oh, that's got to hurt." said Myotismon. He then gasped in pain and stumbled forward from the attack that he was hit from behind. "What?" he snarled, looking back to see who done it.
"Kari, here. Catch!" said Wizardmon, tossing the tag and crest to her and she catches it.
"It's Wizardmon." said Gatomon.
"So, you're still alive?" asked Myotismon, standing.
"That's right. It'll take more than the likes of you to destroy me." said Wizardmon as Kara and Labramon joined behind him.
"We will see." said Myotismon, sending out an orb at Wizardmon, sending him back.
"No, Wizardmon!" cried Gatomon as Kari gasped.
"Now give it to me you little brat!" said Myotismon, stepping up to Kari.
"No!" said Kari, holding her crest with a determined look.
"That wasn't a request." said Myotismon
"Wait!" someone cried.
"Huh?" asked Myotismon. Both Kara and Kari smiled as they looked over to the other side to see Tai and Greymon. "Mimi!" Lillymon exclaimed as Mimi stepped up behind everyone.
"You just picked on the wrong guy's little sister, fang face." said Tai.
"You tell him, Tai!" said Kara.
"Kari, here. Catch!" said Tai, tossing her digivice to her. Kari ran over and caught the digivice, smiling as she had it, but then DemiDevimon swooped in and swiped it from her hands.
"Hey." said Kari.
"I got the digivice. You can thank me after you take over the world boss." said DemiDevimon, but he didn't know that Labramon was sneaking up behind him.
"That's nice work. Go get them, Phantomon." said Myotismon. Tai then took charge, his digivice turned solid orange and his crest shoot out of the tag. "Greymon digivolve to…MetalGreymon!"
"Time out." said Phantomon, backing away from the ultimate digimon.
"Go get him, MetalGreymon." said Tai.
"Giga Blaster!" shouted MetalGreymon, firing his attack at Myotismon, who then held his hands out and made the rockets burst into data particles.
"But how?" asked Tai.
"Horn Buster! Vulcan's Hammer! Wing Blade! Flower Cannon!" All of the ultimate's used their attacks on Myotismon, but yet again the vampire stopped them all.
"He's strong. Too strong." said Matt. TK and Patamon nodded at each other as Patamon flew off. "Are you done yet? I'm bored. It's time to finish you off." said Myotismon as Kari and Gatomon stood their ground with Kara and Labramon backing them up.
"Nightmare…" Myotismon started to say as he was starting his attack.
"Patamon digivolve to…Angemon!"
"Labramon digivolve to…Dobermon!"
"Now what?" snarled Myotismon as the light from the angel made him cringe away.
"Grey Noise!" shouted Dobermon, sending a roar but Myotismon dodge it.
"Hand of Fate!" shouted Angemon as he fired his attack, making Myotismon fall to his knees and shudder, causing Phantomon to burst into data.
"Have you had enough or do you want some more?" he asked.
"Actually, I was about to ask you the same question. Grizzly Wing!" said Myotismon, sending his bats at Kari and Gatomon, making everyone gasp in horror.
"Kari!" shouted Tai and Kara. Wizardmon throws himself in front of Kari and Gatomon, stopping the attack. Time seemed to slow down as Wizardmon falls to the ground, gasping in pain. "Next time, don't get in my way." said Myotismon.
"Oh no." said Gatomon as she, Kari and Kara run over to Wizardmon.
"Wizardmon. You're gonna be alright. Please don't leave. Wizardmon." said Kari.
"I don't want you to go yet." said Kara, tearing up.
"Are you alright, Gatomon?" Wizardmon asked weakly.
"You saved me. I'm sorry." said Gatomon.
"About what?" Wizardmon asked.
"Sorry, I got you involved this." said Gatomon.
"Don't be sorry. I don't have any regrets. If I hadn't met you, my life would have no meaning. I'm glad you and I were friends." said Wizardmon.
"Best forever." said Gatomon.
"Thank you for everything, Gatomon." said Wizardmon.
"Wizardmon, are you okay? Please answer." begged Kari and Kara. Just then, Kari's digivice then started glowing in DemiDevimon's clawed foot, making him cry out. "Look, its Kari's digivice." said Tai.
"I can't hold on!" cried DemiDevimon as he lets go of the digivice and falls back. Tai jumps up, catching the digivice before turning to face his twin sisters. "Kari, here." said Tai, throwing it in the air. Kari caught it with a stern expression. "Not her. No!" said Myotismon.
Suddenly Kari were surrounded by pink light, causing her digivice to turn solid pink. The crests of Light shoots out of her tag. "Gatomon digivolve to…"
Gatomon was surrounded by light and grew to Angemon's height. She loses her tail and grows long blonde hair. Her paws turn into human hands and feet. A helmet covers her eyes and eight large angel wings appear from her back. "Angewomon!"
"Gatomon is a…angel?" Kari asked.
"I've always told you that you've got an angel watching out for you, Kari. Let's take her home with us." said Kara, looking up at her sister's digimon.
"Myotismon, you've tried to destroy the digidestined in an attempt to conquer Earth. In doing so, you have ruined the lives of humans and digimon alike. How can you justify yourself?" asked Angewomon.
"I don't have to explain myself to likes of you. It is my destiny to plunge this world into darkness and become king of the digital world. And no angel or digimon has the power to stop me." said Myotismon.
"You can't become king of the digital world." said Dobermon.
"Myotismon, don't you have any regrets for the things you've done?" asked Angemon as the two angels hovered in the air.
"Nightmare…" Myotismon said, starting one of his attacks but Angewomon started hers first.
"Heaven's Charm!" shouted Angewomon, as a golden halo above her head appeared and a rainbow light fell over them, freezing the vampire in shock.
"My power…it's…its growing." said MetalGreymon. WereGarurumon climbed back up onto the roof, growling.
"Now, everyone, give your power to Angewomon." said Garudamon.
"Horn Buster! Vulcan's Hammer! Wolf Claw! Wing Blade! Giga Blaster! Black Beam! Hand of Fate!" All the digimon shouted, aiming their attacks out towards the halo above Angewomon. The halo turned into what looked like a large green orb that crackled with power.
"Celestial Arrow!" Angewomon shouted, as she held out her left arm, the glove with wings on it expanded into a bow. The orb flowing down into her right hand, turning into an arrow and she took an aim at Myotismon, who was crying out for her not to aim at him. Angewomon lets go of the arrow and it hits him in the chest, and he was shadowed in darkness as sparks crackled around him in black and white. Myotismon was then destroyed in a swarm of light, his mask being the only thing left of him.
"Myotismon is gone." said Kari.
"We did it." said Kara.
"All right, Kari." cheered Tai as the others cheered happily. The building shook, making everyone stumbled. "Let's get out of here before we're crushed." said Sora. They were picked up by their partners and they jumped off of the building before it started crumbling. The ball shaped part of the building fell off and crashed down to the ground. "You guys are the bomb. I can't believe we finally beat Myotismon." said Tai as they held their digimon.
Kara, Kari and TK were off to the side, looking up to the sky, all three of them getting a bad feeling. Labramon, Gatomon and Patamon were looking up in the air too. "That wasn't so tough after all. Great." said Joe, holding Bukamon.
"Yeah." cheered Mimi, holding Tanemon.
"Hopefully now the real world will return to normal." said Matt with Gabumon by his side.
"Hey, you three, what's wrong?" asked Sora, holding Yokomon.
"Look up there." said TK.
"What is it?" asked Matt.
"Something is doesn't feel right." said Kara.
"I don't like the way you said it, Kara." said Labramon, moving closer to her.
"The fog. It's getting thicker." said Kari.
"Impossible." said Tai as everyone looked up to see where they were.
"But…Myotismon is gone." said Kari
"Maybe not. Maybe he's still out there somewhere." said Joe. "What if we made him stronger?" he asks.
