Chapter 37
(in Virgil's point a view)
I was so glad that Scott and John had both managed to get the CCTV footage for that night, I don't know what had happened I was only going into the office to check that it was ready for opening. The police spent two hours interviewing me over what had happened to Louise.
Scott sent me a message to let me know that he was on his way with the footage, once Scott had handed it into the police, they said that I could go. When we arrived back Mum and Penny along with Grandma were busy setting everything up for this baby shower.
"Hey all how are you getting on here?" I asked with a smile knowing that everything is going to plan.
"Everything is going good now that you are here, Lisa is upstairs with Jo checking her over before you bring her down. Why don't you go up and join them? We will carry on here" said Mum
As I made my way up the stairs, I could see Robyn in her room drawing. I tried my best to walk by her room, so she wouldn't notice me. She did notice me and called me in.
"Daddy can I talk to you?"
"Sure, honey what's on your mind?"
"Daddy what is happening down stairs? Nanny Penny and Nanny Lucy said that I had to stay up here with Mummy. Are they planning something for her?"
"Yes, Robyn something is planned for Mummy to cheer her up, did you know that you will be getting a new brother and sister? Plus, there was another baby hiding inside mummy's tummy. We don't know what this surprise baby is, but I think we are going to find out. Do you want to come with me now to see Mummy and Auntie Lisa?
"Is Auntie Lisa going to be bad to me?"
"Not this time angel, she is just here to check on Mummy and to make sure that she is okay" I said to my daughter as we walked into our bedroom, Robyn jumped into the bed beside Jo.
"So, Lisa how is everything going?"
"Everything is okay, and I have the scanner with me if you want to find out what the 3rd baby is. I did find something else on your scan, don't worry it's not another baby."
"Then what did you find?"
"Well by looking at your latest scan, I could see that your 3rd baby may have Downs Syndrome. The other babies are fine which is good, anyway on a lighter note do you still want to know what the baby is?"
"Hold Lisa can you give us a few minutes, this is big news?"
"Sure, come on Robyn lets go down stairs and see uncle Scott shell we?" Said Lisa as she led Robyn out of the bedroom.
"What are we going to do now?"
"We are going to love this baby like the others, there is support out there for us to take. I promise you that we will get there, after all we have a lot of family who will be happy to help us when we need it. I said as I took Jo's hand in mine.
"I am really scared now Virg, what if something goes wrong while I am having these babies? What if it takes weeks before we can bring them home? I'm sorry I just can't help feeling like this."
"Hey, it's okay to let it out once in a while, you are going to do just fine and believe it or not I am here this time to welcome our babies into the world." I said to Jo as I pulled my wife into my open arms for a hug, I knew that Jo felt better after having this chat with me. It didn't take long before I could see a small smile appearing. While we were doing more talking Lisa knocks on the door.
"Come in?"
"Are you two okay now for me to carry on with what I was doing?
"Yeah Lisa, we are fine now after a chat. If I am honest, I am starting to get scared now but I will be okay and pull through."
"We are ready for it" I said to Lisa as she got the scanner ready, while all this was happening, I decided to tell Jo about the surprise baby shower. "Jo, I need to tell you something"
"What is it?"
"Scott is coming up in the next few minutes to help me bring you down the stairs, Penny is down stairs with Mom and Grandma setting everything up for a baby shower. She had planned this a couple of weeks ago, I am so sorry, but I had to tell Penny about the triplets. "
"Are you two ready?" asked Lisa who put the scanner on Jo's belly," Well it looks like you are having another little boy, so you will have two of each. Robyn and this little girl then your two boys, so are we telling everyone about the 3rd baby? Because I think now would be a good time to reveal the sex of the triplets."
"Why not, we have been making everyone wait long enough and you are right now would be a good time" said Jo
"Jo can I go and make a call to Dad?"
"Why not, we both feel like it's the right time now?"
"Okay give me a few minutes and I will be back up with Scott to help you down stairs, I still can't believe that I will be here to meet these little ones. I know that you are fed up, but the next three weeks will fly in." I said to Jo as I kissed her and headed downstairs to call Dad.
"Virgil Tracy calling Jeff Tracy come in Dad"
"Hey Virgil, its lovely to hear from you. How is everyone doing over there?"
"Fine Dad we got some good news, we found out what we are having, and I wanted to tell you"
"Well son"
"We are having two boys and a girl. We found out that one of our boys has Downs Syndrome. Jo is getting a bit scared now, but I managed to calm her down"
"I know that you are trying to hold it together, but I can tell by that look on your face that you are scared to son, are you scared?"
"I am Dad, I am having a lot of what if thoughts right now. I can't get them out of my head, Dad I can't lose Jo and be a single Dad"
"You will be fine son, you are both going to make good parents and Robyn is going to love being a big sister. No matter what happens we as your family will be there for you both.
