Chapter 37

I decided to go see Lisa again , I know it isn't something that Christian is a fan of . I feel like the only way to help our boys is by finding out more about Lissa and what turned her into what she became . In the end before she even turned strogi that was not the Lissa I knew . She hasn't been the Lissa I knew for years .

'' Rose ! '' Lissa pressed herself against the glass of her cell . I took a seat in the chair the guard left for me without even saying anything, I did not come for small talk .

'' You said it was like you were in darkness and someone else was living your life . When did it really to take over ? '' I asked her I brought a notebook to take notes , I felt like a therapist .

'' It was getting stronger over time but I completely lost control after I helped bring back Dimitri . '' She sighed thinking about it . I was gone that why I did the things I did like my relationship with Dimitri , I never loved him. We had a connection but it was not a bond and I used spirit to make him feel the same way about me .'' She looked away from me. It was a little bit of a punch in the gut , that I went through so much pain over losing Dimitri , that he never really loved me the way that I loved him and the whole time it was lissa muniplating the situation . However I am not really upset because I got Christian he is the love of my life and I got my boys .

'' Did he ever find out .'' I went on with my questions . '' No , he thought we were in love . He is a great man regardless of what he felt about me he was to noble to leave his wife . '' She began to tear up . '' I ruined his life . I took him away from you the women he loved more than anything on this earth , I gave him a son only to give him away and because of him being married to me his reputation is tarnished .'' She wiped the tears away quickly .

Hearing what she had to say I did feel bad for Dimitri , If he was just a victim of it all .I did hope he would be able to move on with his life and maybe just maybe he could see Dimika more no promises .

'' I am so sorry Rose . '' She began to cry harder . '' I was in there the whole time , I watched myself do all these things I watched her give away my baby , my baby with the same green eyes as my mother . '' She dropped down so she was sitting , she looked so defeated .

'' You said her ? '' I furrowed my eyebrows . '' Her because it wasn't me , It was that bitch that was living my life . '' She spat angrily . '' My body but not me . '' She looked so disgusted with herself . If I was her I would be .

'' Besides spirit taking you over what are some of the side effects that you have had ? '' Listening to her made my stomach clinch with the thought of the boys living a life in anyway similar to hers .

'' How is he ?'' She asked in a instant . I felt uncomftorable talking about him with her . '' Fine . '' I said it sharply . '' He has to be the strongest spirit user around . '' She said . '' I have never felt a rush of power like I did from him . '' She looked lost for a moment .

'' Well I am going to get going .'' I got up from my chair . I think I had heard all I needed to hear from her for the day .

'' So soon ? '' Her eyes shot up at me . '' yes.'' With that I walked out of the prison .I was walking back home when I heard christian call my name . I turned around slowly .

'' Did I just see you come from the prison ? '' He ran up to me so we were closer . '' Yeah .'' I nodded standing straight . I was going to stand behind my decsions . I am Rose Hathaway when has anyone ever been able to tell me what and what not to do?

'' Why ?'' He crossed his arms over his chest . '' Because Christian , we have two kids heavily affected by Spirit , One of them being Lissa's biological son .'' I handed him the notebook I had with me so he could see the notes that I took .

He read it quickly .'' She said this ? '' He looked down at me . '' Yes . We can only find more about her . '' I spoke softly . '' Okay .'' he nodded and we walked the rest of the way home . '' So how do you feel knowing that Dimitri never really left you ? '' Christian asked , We were upstairs in the nursery .

'' I don't really feel anyway about it , the pain I went through was worth the love that I found .'' I set Alek down in his crib he had fallen back asleep .

'' What about you , If all she said was true Lissa never really left you either . '' I walked so we were face to face . '' I feel the same way as you , We were meant to be together . Hell in the long run we could have ended up leaving them .'' He chuckled lightly and bent down and kissed my neck slowly trailing up my jaw line .

'' We really are going to figure something out for them I promise you .'' He kissed me hard .
