Ok, so I know I said that I wouldn't be updating any of my stories before my exam but I managed to finish my paper a few days earlier than I thought, so I decided to celebrate with a chapter from at least one of my stories. So I give you a new chapter of this story but I don't think I will be able to update "All Of The Stars" as well.
Read, review and enjoy! In little over a week I will be back and then I am free to update my stories as much as I want!
I do not own "The Originals", Only my OC.

Tell Me It's Not True
*Does this darkness have a name? This cruelty this hatred. How did it find us, did it steal into our lives or did we seek it out and embrace it? What happened to us that we now send our children into the world like we send young men to war, hoping for their safe return but knowing some will be lost along the way. When did we lose our way? Consumed by the shadows swallowed whole by the darkness. Does this darkness have a name...is it your name?*
Third person p.o.v
Kingdom of Norway, 972 A.D
A young woman walked through a freezing blizzard trying to get somewhere safe and warm. Another woman sat in her hut, chanting spells when the door suddenly opened. The young woman in front of the witch, took her hood down and approached her.
"Sister. I've come to beg for your help." The young frozen woman said.
"What for?" Asked the dark haired witch.
"You know I've always wanted children of my own…" She started.
"Then go! Have your Viking children." The witch told her.
"It's been almost a full year and I'm still not with child. I fear I'm cursed." Said the blond, scared girl.
"Dahlia please. With your magic you can help me." The blond girl said.
"You come to me needing favors. If you hadn't abandoned your talents with witchcraft, you could help yourself, Dahlia said.
"I was never as strong as you, you know that. Just as I know that you won't turn me away, you are my sister, we are bind by blood." Then Dahlia turned and faced her sister.
"Please, help me."
"What you ask of me, it requires a heavy sacrifice." Said Dahlia.
"I will do anything you ask." The blond girl said desperately. Dahlia hugged her sister tightly.
"I could never refuse you. My precious little Esther." Said Dahlia as she cupped her sister's face.
After what happened when Oliver got the young wolves out of the city and helping Elijah and Kol to distract the other wolves, Esther and Finn captured him. He refused to say anything and that made it far worse for him.
"Why don't you just kill me and get it over with?" Asked Oliver Esther.
"Speak to her again and I will feed you your tongue." Said Finn with certainty. He looked at the wolves standing around them.
"Spread the word from here to the Bayou, midnight tonight he is put to death by his part on the escape on the young wolves. For now, chain him up." Said Finn to the other wolves and then yanked Oliver on his feet and dragged him into a tomb.
"Tell the other wolves to come and see what happens to traitors!" Finn yelled after them before turning to his mother.
"Well done. Now, I believe you have a meeting. I have to attend your brother."
Elijah were still pretty weak and he wished that he could be out of this place. Esther approached him slowly.
"Still sleeping. Lost in the visions of horror and dreams of love." Said Esther as she walked closer to Elijah and tilting his head upwards.
"Still so strong, full of life. To stubborn to take my offer. I remember you as a little boy, innocent, kind and if that boy had known the creature he would one day grow up to be, he would have leaped into my arms and begged me to save him." Said Esther as she touched her son.
"I would've done anything for that boy, as I would you." Said Esther before slitting Elijah's throat and chanting something in his ear. When she was finished, Elijah's head fell forwards. This was not good.
Amy's p.o.v
I was standing out on the balcony of Klaus' room and mine. I was worried about Elijah and my sister was still here trying to help the best she could, even though I knew she missed Jackson. She was about to say something to me when we suddenly heard a scream from inside. We looked at each other once before going back. We walked into the living room, where it connected with Nik's painting room and he was standing there washing his hands clean of blood.
"I see your interrogation went well." I said with a hint of sarcasm.
"It turns out that these witches are delicate creatures. No matter as suspected, my mother has Elijah captive." Said Nik with a shrug, as if it didn't mean anything.
"Great! Let's go find them." Said Hayley impatient.
"Esther is too powerful, she won't easily be found. I need to draw her out." Said Nik before trying to close the door on the both of us but I stopped him.
"Wait! What are you doing Nik?" I asked with a worried look.
"I'm going to change my shirt. I guess your sister doesn't want to see that and after that, I'm going to find my brother." Said Nik before closing the doors. I looked at my sister once before asking her silently to leave the room. I opened the doors again and then I could see my fiance with just his jeans on, it was a dream come true.
"Like what you see, love?" Asked Nik and that got me out of my daydreaming.
"You know I do." I said with a grin. Nik wrapped his arms around me and gave me a kiss.
"I love you." He whispered in my ear as he hugged me.
"I love you too, husband to be." I whispered with a little smirk. I wanted to marry Nik but I wanted to wait until I had our Hope back. We needed to do this with her at our side. I refused to do it without her.
"Let Hayley and me come with you." I said to him. Nik sighed once before cupping my face.
"I know you and Hayley want to help, Amy but you can't. My mother is retched, she will target the both of you, mostly you because I love you and she would do anything to harm me. Now, I can't save my brother if I am busy saving you." Nik told me and kissed my forehead gently. I knew that Nik was telling the truth but it didn't make the situation any better.
Hayley and I wanted to find Elijah and thought that Nik was the one to do that, so we went to Marcel's. We just got there when Gia entered his living room as she had just gotten back to Marcel's place. She had been looking for Elijah all night.
"I did like you said, I kept a low profile and went all over this city. There's no sign of Elijah anywhere." Said Gia as she walked up to Marcel.
"Yeah, the humans I know said the same thing, maybe Klaus has better luck." Said Marcel hopefully. With that, Hayley and Amy stepped into the room.
"No he's not, which sucks considering how low the bar is around here." I said with a sour face. Hayley only shook her head at me before facing Marcel and Gia.
"Listen; are you two up for a rescue mission?" Asked Hayley.
"Are we going after Elijah?" Asked Gia and Hayley could see that I wanted to charge her. I was jealous of her concern.
"Nope, that's all Klaus and Kol. I am talking about Oliver. He, Kol and Elijah were fighting the werewolves together. Now, we've heard that Oliver has been captured and he's about to be executed." I said with a worried look.
"If we can save Oliver, we might be able to figure out where Elijah is." Amy told them and Marcel only looked at her.
"So, what do you want from us?" Asked Marcel.
"Just a little distraction. Esther's son Finn is the one that's controlling the werewolves. If you can keep him out of the way, Hayley and I can go and get Ollie ourselves." I said as I was looking at my sister before the both of us tried to walk out of the room but Marcel stopped us.
"You can't take all those wolves by yourself Amy, not even with the help of your sister. You'll get killed and then I'll get killed for letting it happen." Said Marcel, mostly looking at Amy.
"We're not going in alone, the wolves may be controlled by the witches but they still have an alpha. I just have to find him." I said looking over at her sister with a little annoyed feature. She knew whom I was talking about.
"Well, I'm staying here. I don't want to talk to Jackson right now. You can go alone and I will stay here and help Marcel and Gia." Said Hayley and I wondered why she was so reluctant to go and see her boyfriend.
"Fine! I`ll go by myself." I growled and left all three of them. I ran into Kol on my way out.
"Well, you're on a mission." He smirked as he crossed his arms.
"Yes. I was thinking I would want to go out into the woods to see if I can find Jackson. Would you like to join?" I asked the younger Mikalson.
"Of course darling."
"Then you have to promise me that you won't kill any wolves. You're strictly there to keep me company." I told him and he didn't look pleased.
"Fine! Only because I love you so much." Said Kol with a pout.
"And that is why you're my best friend." I said pinching his cheeks.
"Stop that right now!" Said Kol as he removed my hands.
"So why are you here? I thought you were going to help Nik out." I asked him.
"Well, Nik wanted you to be as protected as possible and was more comfortable with me being with you." Said Kol as he leaned back against the car seat.
This could be a fun road trip, I thought as I drove the car out on the road towards the Bayou.
Klaus' p.o.v
I had arrived at the old burned out plantation to make sure Esther could not jump back into her own body and decided that I should burn the casket. I should've done it years ago. I was pouring the gasoline onto the casket when I heard a bird sing in the trees. I knew the sound of that bird. A starling, it was a sign that my mother was near. I had to smirk a little.
"Are you watching this mother?" I asked loudly, knowing she was close by.
"Nothing says I loath you quit like desecrating a corpse." I added before pulling out a lighter.
"Niklaus!" I froze when I heard his voice. I turned around and saw Elijah standing over at the entrance of the house.
I followed him into the burnt house and he was standing by the piano in the living room.
"You seem troubled. If I didn't know any better, I'd say you look worried." Said Elijah with a little smile.
"What has she done to you?" I asked my big brother.
"A thousand years, we murdered and mother thinks she can save us all. She wants to talk. Perhaps we should listen." Said Elijah as he walked closer to me. Something wasn't right here and I knew that this was an illusion. I picked up a broken table and threw it at him.
"Enough of this petty illusions Esther. Where is Elijah?" I said looking around to see if she would turn up herself.
"He is preoccupied at the moment." Said Esther as she came into view.
"I'm helping him to find his way but not to worry. I will return him to you. All I ask is that you hear me out." Said Esther with a calm voice.
"You expect me to sit through a sermon of your lies?" I told her venomously.
"I have lied in the past, to my shame but I'm going to tell you the truth. I'm in the process of making Elijah into the man he was meant to be and I intend to do the same for you." Said Esther with certainty in her voice and I was not going to let her have that satisfaction.
"This plantation, ruined by fire. How sad, not to mention symbolic. After all, you never fully intend to build a home here, even though Amy actually were happier out here than at the compound. Even though she was pregnant with your child, you still cared more about taking your city back than you ever cared about being a father. Tell me, how did that go?" Asked Esther and I felt furious.
"You know nothing about my feelings towards my own daughter or Amy, so forgive me for asking. Is this some kind of motherly critique? Please feel free to choke on it." I said with a smile.
"I only mentioned your failure to make a point my dear. You've endured several lifetimes of misery. Never mind the suffer you've caused others, even to your own blood. You yourself, remain trapped in a perpetual state of despair. I have come to offer you a means to escape that cycle." Esther told me.
"And that's about all the hypocrisy I can take. I suggest you give me my brother, before I get angry." I told her, losing my patience.
"Such hatred. It breaks my heart to see you like this, the boy I loved.
"Your love was a curse. The truth is, you're no better than Mikael and like him, you've crawled back from the grave, simply to ruin your own children." I told her and I could see the change in her. She didn't know that Mikael was back.
"Oh, you didn't know. Yes, the destroyer has risen, brought back to kill me by the witch Davina. I'm sure that Aron has revealed everything to you or has your loyal little helper, turned out not to be so loyal after all." I told her with a huge grin on my face.
Third person p.o.v
Cami was inside the secret storage room Father Kieran left for her after he died. She just got there after meeting Vincent, he was creeping her out, and she figured it had something to do with the supernatural. She looked through and old book and came across the name Vincent Griffith, the same name of her advisor. Just then, Marcel and Hayley stepped into the room.
"I bet you want a new advisor right about now." Said Marcel and Cami turned around to face them.
"Who is he Marcel? I mean really?" Asked Cami.
"Long story short is impossible." Marcel started.
"I checked the school website. Vincent Griffith has no academic credentials and according to my uncle Kieran's big book of New Orleans bloodlines, Griffith is a family of witches." Said Cami.
"Oh, it's worse than that. Your therapist has a thousand year old dead vampire inside of him named Finn Mikaelson." Said Hayley, speaking up for the first time and it freaked Cami out.
"My advisor is Klaus' brother? Oh my God, Marcel! He has been asking questions about Klaus and ordered my favorite drink like he's been watching me, why?" Cami asked.
"Probably to get information about Klaus used you to set up a trap because he knows he can't use Amy but it doesn't matter. You're not seeing him again." Marcel told her.
"No. I'm just getting started." Said Cami with confidence.
"So you're going to spy on a thousand year old grudge match against Klaus? I'm not going to let you go anywhere near that guy." Marcel told her.
"I can handle myself." Said Cami to the both of them.
"I get it. You're mad at the guy and you want to get even." Hayley stated.
"It's not about getting even, Hayley. Look around, everything in this room this is my family's legacy and if I had just embraced it the first time around, I could have uncovered Francesca Guerra's secret and the wolves would never have taken over the quarter and Klaus' baby would still be alive. So don't tell me not to get involved." Cami said out of breath. Hayley noticed the way Cami talked about Klaus and it made her a little uneasy. It was something she was not telling them. It felt as if she was hiding something.
Then Marcel got a phone call and left the two girls alone so he could take the phone in private. Hayley turned towards Cami when she knew Marcel wouldn't be listening.
"Ok Cami, I'm not stupid, so don't even try to lie to me. What is going on between you and Klaus? It's clearly something and I need you to start telling the truth." Hayley told her as she knew the young girl was about to break.
"It's something I haven't told anyone and I can't let Amy know, it will ruin her." Cami told her and she was almost crying.
"Just tell me please and I'll be the judge of if I'll tell my sister or not."
"Ok. I have feelings for Klaus. I've had them for a long time and I wish that it was me in Amy's place and Klaus knows this." Cami told her and Hayley looked surprised, she had not seen that coming.
"You conniving little bitch. When this gets out, Amy will kill you. You know how bad things have been between Klaus and Amy. If you try to do anything to break the two of them apart, I will rip you to shreds. This is something I can't let slip Camille. Amy needs to know and I can't do anything to stop it." Said Hayley before leaving. She couldn't stay there any longer, she was afraid that she would actually kill her. When Amy found this out, she would be devastated. What was she going to do now? How was Hayley going to tell her own sister about all of this?
Back at the plantation, Esther had finally gotten over the shock of finding out that Mikael was alive.
"If Mikael has returned, we will need to get rid of him." Said Esther.
"We? Is that a joke? Forget centuries of hatred for my evil mother, to join her in besting the very demon she allowed to raise me." Said Klaus venomously.
"I am not evil Niklaus. I am your salvation and Mikael; he was not always a demon." Said Esther.
"Long ago, he loved his children with all his heart. Finn and his twin brother Aron but most of all, it was his first born, one year older Freya who was the apple of his eye."
This surprised Klaus. He knew that Aron was Finn's twin brother but never had none of them mentioned the oldest girl.
"Do you think you can persuade me with these lies?" He growled angrily as he tried to walk away from his mother.
"I'm telling you the truth and what I think, is that you've gone mad after centuries of hating your parents but if you join me now, I can grant you peace and should Mikael return with the intent to harm you, I will strike him down myself." Said Esther.
That's quite an offer but you know, I've never needed any help when it comes to killing parents." Said Klaus as he stepped closer to his mother.
"You reject me out of hatred but I have something stronger. I have the truth about your father, not Mikael. Your real father." Said Esther and it made Klaus deep in thought.
Esther walked outside before Klaus could say anything else. He found her out by her coffin and now he wanted answers.
"A thousand years ago in a fit of rage, you wrapped your bare hands around my neck and squeezed until I died. Do you even remember why?" Asked Esther.
"Let's see. You had turned us all into monsters, you cursed me, denied me of my hybrid nature, you lied about my father…." Said Klaus before Esther cut him off.
"Is that one above all? You killed me because I kept you from ever knowing your true father." Stated Esther.
"My hatred for you runs so deep; it's difficult to pinpoint its origin." Klaus told her.
"Maybe I hate that I'm the product of a whore's tertiary." Said Klaus and that's when Esther slapped him across the face.
"Watch your mouth. You do well to remember that you are still my son." Esther spat.
"You judge me, well it was your lust that made me what I am." Klaus told her.
"And not once have I ever regret it, the love I have for your father and you have never known the truth of how that love came to be. At what happened in the months after Mikael and I first lost Freya and then Aron of the plague. There are no words for the loss of children, as you well know." Esther told him with a sad look on her face.
"After Freya died and Aron not long after that, Mikael was inconsolable compelled by his grief, we were forced to pack our things and set across the seas. Eventually, his despair would drive us apart and that's when I saw him for the first time. Your father, I've never seen a man like him. Powerful, yet wise but loved by his people and because Mikael had chosen to leave me alone in his grief, shunning me from his life. I found myself drawn to another." Said Esther, as she was lost in old memories.
"Spare me the details of my origin." Klaus told her.
"I only speak the truth."
"Then tell me this mother; why did your Adonis abandoned his son? Why did he allow me to be raised by a monster who hated me? Why not claim me for himself, raise me among the wolves? Or was he just as ashamed of his bastards as you were?" Asked Klaus.
"No, no. He loved you. It was I who forbade it. I knew if Mikael had learned of my infidelity, he would've destroyed us in his rage. I had no choice.
"When I learned I was with child, I returned to Mikael, I told him I was having his baby. He showed no joy but neither did he suspect the truth. When you were born, it renewed his spirit. We had Kol, Rebekah, and Henrik. Because of you, we were a family again." Said Esther.
"A family built on secrets and lies." Klaus told her.
"Oh, you were my secret joy and to protect your secret, I denied your life with your father but what if I could make up for all of that? By curing you of this sickness that has infected your soul. As I put Aron and Finn in the bodies of a witch, you I shall place in the body of a werewolf, so that you can live out your days as what you were always meant to be."
"What could possibly make you think that I would agree to such a thing?" Asked Klaus.
"With mortality you could start over. You and Amy could have a family of your own. Happiness, peace, all the things you longed but denied. You and Amy could replace what you so sadly lost."
"Enough! Tell me where Elijah is or I will kill you, in this body or any other body you choose to jump into from now until the bloody Armageddon." Said Klaus and that's when Esther used her powers and made Klaus fall backwards.
"I had hoped that there was some part of you that yearned for an end to your vicious ways but if you are determent to perpetuate to the cycles of violence to which you have become accustomed, well then. I have to accommodate you." Said Esther and snapped Klaus' neck.
Amy's p.o.v
Kol and I had never been this deep into the Bayou before. I was glad that Nik had taught me how to track down the wolves by using my hybrid senses. Kol was trailing beside me.
"So, is things between you and my brother any better?" Kol asked me to make small talk.
"Well, I hope so. We're not back to what it used to be but I don't think that we'll ever be again. We're working on it." I said with a sad smile but stopped when I could smell the wolves in the air. I motioned for Kol to stay quiet and be careful. We finally saw some trailers but I knew that something wasn't right. Before even Kol could react, I stopped two wooden arrows from hitting the both of us and it pissed me off.
"You want to try that again? You're going to have to do a lot better than that if you're going to kill a hybrid or an original." I said to the man that I could see standing in the woods. Kol was angry and wanted to charge him but I stopped him. The man stepped forward knife at the ready but then we heard a voice behind us.
"Stop!" Jackson stepped forward and I felt relieved. I haven't seen him in months.
"Jackson!" I exclaimed.
"Amy, Kol. I see you've met my friend Ansel." Said Jackson and for some reason Kol tensed up.
"You know them?" Asked Ansel.
"Yeah actually I do. Kol here is an original vampire and Amy is Hayley's sister. The last of the Labonair bloodline and my sister in law." Said Jackson and I couldn't help but smile. Even though I was a hybrid, he wasn't angry at me. I walked over to him and gave him a hug.
"Hey Jackson." I said as I hugged him even tighter.
"Hey little sister." Said Jackson as he hugged me back. Jackson and Ansel took both Kol and me to sit by the fire in front of the trailers. Jackson poured us some bourbon and started telling us what had happened in the last few months.
"After Francesca Guerra took over the wolves, she offered Hayley and myself a moonstone ring. As long as we called her alpha. We declined, so a couple of her brothers dragged us out here and let us for dead. About the time we healed up, word had spread about what happened to you and to your baby. So we knew it was over." Said Jackson. When Jackson mentioned Hope, I felt a huge ache in my heart. Ansel looked at me funny but I didn't noticed that then.
"And I just drifted. That was when we met Ansel. He has been teaching us the old ways, traditions, what it means to be a wolf." Jackson told us.
"You mean by living in the middle of nowhere?" I said with a huff.
"Easy, your kind makes him honoree." Said Jackson and that pissed me off.
"My kind? Jack, whatever you and your friend think of me, my kind is the wolves. Even if they pledged allegiance to a witch, all that means they need an alpha. Ollie needs one too." I said and I knew that it was a sore spot for Jackson.
"Yeah, I heard about that. The thing is, Ollie betrayed me. He plotted with the Guerra's. He spilled his own people." Jackson started.
"He was trying to make up for that…." I said.
"It doesn't matter. Witches have him dead. See if I care." That made Kol angry and he felt as if he had kept his mouth shut long enough.
"You don't want to be the alpha; Fine we will save Oliver for ourselves." Kol almost snarled and picked me up so we could walk out of there. Ansel got up as well and picked up his weapons and I didn't need this right now.
"Do you have a problem old man?" I asked a little harshly.
"I have a problem with vampires but I will not allow a wolf to be killed by witches." He said as he walked past us. I turned to Jackson.
"Well, at least someone is interested. No wonder why Hayley didn't want to come back here with me." I told him before leaving with Kol. I picked up the phone and called Marcel.
"Tell me you got your alpha?"
"He's out of commission but I got the next best thing. I'm assuming you have a plan to keep Finn occupied?"
"Yeah. Yeah I think I might have an idea."
With that, Marcel hung up the phone.
"So, how are we going to do this?" Asked Ansel and I could sense how tense Kol got again. I stopped the both of them.
"Ok, what the hell is going on between the two of you? You've just met and you're acting like you've known each other for years." I said giving the both of them the evil eye. Kol sighed and looked between Ansel and me.
"Go ahead Ansel, tell Amy here who you are." Kol almost spat. I looked at Ansel and not understanding what he was insinuating.
"I'm Ansel and Niklaus is my son." The man in front of me said.
"What?" I said not knowing how this is possible.
"Yes dear Amy. This is Hope's grandfather." Said Kol with a hint of anger in his voice.
"I'm surprised you know who I am." Said Ansel.
"Well, if you had seen all the sketches Nik drew of you over the years, it would be darn hard to miss." Kol told him.
"Wait, how are you back?" I asked.
"That's a story for another time. Let's save this Oliver character and then you can ask me any questions you want." Said Ansel and walked in front of us. I couldn't believe it. Here I was walking around in the woods with Nik's biological father and my daughter's grandfather. This was family to me and now that I knew, I could see Nik's features in him. The way he carried himself, the sparkle in his eyes and other things about Ansel that seemed so familiar to me.
Third person p.o.v
Klaus woke up after dreaming about the night he found his biological father killed. It was dark outside and he knew Esther had snapped his neck. Klaus was a little disorientated and couldn't remember where he was at first.
"Apologies for the headache." Said Esther. Great, the bitch were still here.
"Were you dreaming?" She asked him.
"I remembered the day I found out who my real father was only hours after Mikael slaughtered him." He told her.
"My darkest hour. Had you yourself not have killed me, soon thereafter; I doubt I would have ever recovered. You woke earlier than I expected, no matter. It is time." Esther told him
"Time for what?" Asked Klaus.
"You said you wanted Elijah. He's sleeping, chained to the wall of a tomb at Lafayette cemetery. I've lifted the spell that hides him, you are free to take him home. Now his own mind will work out his choice for him. When he wakes, he'll make his own decision. Every single thing I've said to you tonight is the truth Niklaus, whether you choose to believe it." Esther told him and then he sped away from the plantation. Klaus had to get his brother home and needed to see Amy. She was his rock through all of this and he just needed her to tell him that everything would be ok.
Back in New Orleans, Cami prepared for the plan Marcel, Amy and herself had planned. She was nervous, mostly for what she was about to do but also about the fact that she had spilled her guts to Hayley about her feelings towards Klaus. She had to shake it off as she walked into Rossau's. She opened the door and walked in to meet Vincent, or Finn. At the same time, Gia and Marcel was waiting out in the back. Gia walked up to Marcel.
"All good. Not a werewolf in sight." She told him.
"Good I appreciate you being here." Said Marcel.
"How is blondie doing?" Asked Gia.
"She'll be fine. Just keep an eye out for wolves all right?" Marcel told her. He walked closer to the door and listened to the conversation between Finn and Cami.
"Thank you for coming. I feel bad about being so abrupt earlier, I'm sorry." Camille told him.
"That was my fault. I was being unprofessional. My apologies." Said Finn with a smile.
"You're sorry, I'm sorry. Let's call it even and have a drink." Said Cami and downed her drink.
"So, how would you diagnose my friend Klaus if I may ask?"
"Well, he's clearly depressive and no self-esteem, paranoia and impulse control. Wouldn't you agree?" Asked Finn.
"A lot of it is beyond me. Too much history I don't know. Like all the stuff with his siblings, you know the resentment. How do you manage it?" Asked Cami.
"I beg your pardon?" Finn started to get cautious.
"In one of our first sessions you mentioned that you don't get along very well with your brothers. Do you stay in touch with them?"
"I a matter of speaking. We're not particularly close." Said Finn.
"And your parents, are they still around? Am I prying? I am totally prying." Cami exclaimed.
"All this talk about family when you so recently scolded me about boundaries." Said Finn.
"Just searching for coping methods. Trying to learn from the master."
"Is that so?" Asked Finn.
With that statement, Marcel was about to walk inside to help Cami out but then something else caught their attention.
"You seem lost." Both Gia and Marcel turned around and looked directly at one of Esther's wolves.
"Vampires caught in the quarter is to be killed on sight." Said the wolf as he held his ground.
"Go, run as fast as you can." Marcel told Gia and she left quickly. Marcel prepared himself to fight the wolf off and he didn't care if he died in the process.
Amy's p.o.v
Ansel, Kol, Hayley and I walked through the cemetery to look for Oliver. I knew where I could find him and it was good to know I had backup. We walked up the stair to Esther's layer. The staircase was where the witches tried to sacrifice my baby and it made me a little uneasy. I found Oliver inside, he looked weak, and I rushed over to him.
"Ollie! Can you hear me?" I asked. He looked up at me with sleepy eyes.
"What are you doing here? And who the hell is that?" Asked Oliver as he saw Ansel.
"We're here to save your ass. Please tell me you know where Elijah is." I asked him but all Oliver could do was to shake his head.
"They know we're here." Said Ansel and that was when Kol and I heard it too. With the help from Kol and Hayley, they broke the chains, and I made sure Oliver would fall smack down to the ground. Ansel ran to the front of the building.
"Let's go." I said and tried to get Oliver to come with me.
"Just leave me here, go." He said.
"To hell with that. Kol, grab him please." I told him and Kol did as he was told and grabbed a hold of Oliver to give him support. I walked over to Ansel.
"If they want a fight, I'll give them a fight." I said.
"No. I came with you to save one of my own, not watch you kill them. Take your friend out the back, move as fast as you can. I'll hold them off here." Said Ansel.
"I can't let you do this alone. Let me help you. Kol and Hayley can take Oliver." I started to say but Ansel stopped me and cupped my face.
"You are a remarkable woman Amy. I can see why Niklaus loves you so much. Now please do as I tell you. Do this for your daughter." He whispered to me, even though Kol could hear him as well. I could only nod. It was so strange to see him. He was an older version of Nik and I couldn't keep myself from wondering if Nik would have looked even more like him if he had the chance to grow older. I followed Hayley and Kol as Ansel walked out the front door. I took the lead as we walked carefully around the cemetery, not wishing to run into any of the wolves, even though we knew that Kol and I could take them down but we didn't want too. Both Kol and I could hear them approaching and motioned for Hayley and Oliver to stay behind us.
"Come on out! We know you're here." I knew it was Aiden. I decided to step forward alone.
"Why don't you let us go and we call it a day?" I asked and I could hear Kol chuckle.
"No, I don't think so." Said Aiden.
"Then we do this the hard way. Kol!" I yelled and he stepped forward with a huge grin on his face.
"Darling, you just made my day." Said Kol with a smirk. Before we could do anything Oliver stepped forwards with the help of Hayley.
"You idiots. You're lining up to fight a hybrid and an original? For what? So you could kill me? All because some witch gave an order. I know I'm not innocent but I never lost sight of what I was fighting for. We were going to be a pack but now, we are turning on each other, killing your own people. If we do that, we're nothing." Said Oliver and looked intently on Aiden. It surprised me that Oliver had it in him and it surprised me even more, Aiden and the other wolves moved out of the way and let us walk. They only one that didn't like this, was Kol. He wanted a fight.
"Oh, come on!" He threw his arms in the air.
"Kol! This is not the time." I told him firmly and he pouted like a five year old and stomped out of the cemetery. What a stubborn ass, I thought to myself. As we walked out of the cemetery, we ran into Nik.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked as he held onto me tightly.
"I'm here to find my brother." He told me and looked over at Oliver.
"He doesn't look so good." Said Nik.
"I will take care of him, please be careful in there." I pleaded him.
"I promise little wolf. Take Oliver far away from here, keep him safe and then come home to me." He told me and gave me a small kiss. I could only nod and it wasn't before he vanished inside the cemetery that I realized that Ansel still kept the wolves at bay. Nik was going to meet his father and he would freak out. Now I felt bad for leaving him.
Klaus' p.o.v
It felt so good to see Amy and feel her near me but right now, I needed to make sure that I would retrieve my brother. I walked determent through the cemetery but then I heard someone fighting and followed the sound. I watched someone fighting off the wolves and I decided to give the man a hand and snapped the wolf's neck before he knew it. The man raised his sword at me and then I saw whom he was. He looked at me as I looked at him. The man that had haunted my dreams for a thousand years.
"You!" I said stunned and afraid.
"Niklaus?" The man said and it was freaking me out.
"No, no. You're not real."
"Niklaus." The man who supposedly was my biological father tried again as he walked towards me.
"No! You're a phantom, this is Esther's doing, that's all you are!" I said taking a few steps away from him. I called out for my mother, thinking she was here to play yet another illusion on me.
"Stop this charade; I know that thing is not real!"
"Look at me Niklaus. I am flesh and blood. Your flesh and blood." He told me and I didn't want to believe it.
"You've been dead for a thousand years."
"And through that time, I've lingered on the other side, watching you, like the world fall apart, until I woke, four moons past in the land of wolves like myself." Said my father.
"No, no! You're just in my head. You're an illusion, meant by my mother to get me to except her bargain." I said not managing to keep myself calm.
"I do not speak for Esther. I know nothing of her bargains but you are my son." He told me as he walked even closer to me. I stopped him before he could get even closer and grabbed his arm. That's when I saw the tattoo. The same tattoo that haunted me for all those years.
"Even if what you say is real, you're nothing to me. For all I care, you can crawl back to hell." With that, I ran away from him. This was too much for me and now I regretted letting Amy walk away from me. She should have been here with me.
I found Elijah hanging inside the same tomb I've been in before. The last time I was here, I searched for Hope and I thought I had lost Amy forever. I had to push those thoughts away and focusing on helping my brother. I knew what to do and ripped the doll down so the spell on him broke. I ripped the chains off the walls and steadied my brother, trying to get him to wake up.
"He won't wake, not yet which gives us one last chance to discuss my offer." Esther came into view. I cursed within myself and carefully placed Elijah on the floor.
"You promised me Elijah's safe return. What was that, a lie? Like that foolish atrocity outside claiming to be my father back from the dead?" I asked her.
"Your father has returned from the dead. I pulled him from the other side before it collapsed, left him in the Bayou to join the wolves and I used the execution of one of his own to drawn him here where I knew he'd find you." Said Esther.
"To what end? Besides my torment." I asked.
"I brought him here to be the father you never had, to teach you to be the man you've always longed to be. Once you are remade to be a werewolf, you and Amy can join him." My mother told me. I got up and walked closer to her.
"His return changes nothing." I told her firmly.
"It changes everything. It is my gift to you and Amy. This offer is your last chance at salvation. Reject me now and you will live out your endless unloved and alone. Do not refuse me out of some ancient spite." Said Esther and I got more and more angry. I knew Amy loved me just the way I am.
"Not spite, hatred. A pure and perfect hatred that is greater now than the day I first took your life." I was starting to lose it for sure. One wrong word out of her mouth and I will lose it.
"Why? After all I've done to explain to you why must you insist…" I lost it and pinned her against the wall by her neck.
"Because you came for my child! Amy's child! Our daughter, your own blood!" I was beyond furious.
"My child!" I screamed again.
"Niklaus I had too." Said Esther, as she was getting weaker under my grip. She tried to fry my brain but I didn't care. This woman had caused so much hurt and suffering for Amy and me the past couple of months.
"You declared war when you came after my family and for that, I will make you suffer as only I can. After all I am my mother's son." With that, I threw her on the ground. As she gasped for air, I took my brother and helped him out of there without as much as a glare at Esther.
Amy's p.o.v
Kol, Hayley and I took Oliver back to Jackson. That was the only place we could think of when we needed to find somewhere safe for Oliver. Hayley didn't want to come but I persuaded her. She needed to talk to Jackson and maybe she could do a better job than I did.
Jackson got a fire going but he looked pissed as hell.
"Well, you got him, great. Where is Ansel?" Asked Jackson.
"He was busy being a man. He should be right behind us." I told him without looking at him. Oliver only looked at Jackson and he wanted to tell him something.
"Jack. I have to tell you something." He started but Jackson cut him off.
"I already know Ollie. You sold me out to Francesca." Said Jackson with disgust on his face.
"Look, I know I can make up for that but you need to hear this. You're the one, you're the alpha."
Oliver got up and walked towards Jackson.
"Our people are not supposed to be slaves. You can free them." Oliver told him and then he began to cough. It was similar to what I went through when I was pregnant with Hope. He fell to the ground not being able to breathe and I couldn't do anything to stop it.
"What is wrong with him?" Asked Jackson worriedly.
"It's the witches. They said that he only had until midnight." I told him and I could only watch as Jackson did everything he could to help him. To watch as Jackson lost his best friend was heartbreaking and I could keep my tears at bay. I buried my head against Kol's chest and cried and he kept his arms around me, feeling as helpless as I did. It didn't take long until Oliver took his last breath and he was quiet. Oliver died in the arms of his best friend. Kol and I stayed for a little while before returning home. Hayley decided to stay with Jackson, the two of them needed to talk. All the way home, I just kept quiet, I didn't cry or make one noise, I just wanted to get home.
When we finally reached the compound, I could feel that Nik was home and he wasn't alone. I used my speed to get to Elijah's room as soon as possible with Kol on my tail. I watched as Nik tried to make Elijah as comfortable as he could but he looked up when he saw me. He walked over to me and hugged me tightly to his body as I tried my best not to start crying again. Kol told us he could stay with Elijah so we could have a chance to talk. We needed each other right now and he knew it.
Nik and I walked into our bedroom and he grabbed himself something to drink. He handed me one. I knew I had to ask him.
"So, did you meet Ansel in the cemetery?" I asked carefully. Nik slammed his glass down on the table.
"How did you know about that?" Asked Nik with a tormented look on his face.
"Hayley and Jackson has been living with him out in the Bayou for months, he helped us rescuing Oliver." I told him, as tears started to flow down my cheeks.
"He looked just like you Nik." I said and Nik started to pace around the room.
"Do not speak of him." He almost spat at me.
"I think we need to Nik. He is your father. The man that was supposed to raise you. He took good care of me tonight, not wanting me to get hurt because he knew that if you lost me, you would be in a lot of pain." I said and Nik looked at me with a pleading look.
"I can't talk about this, Amy. Right now, we need to concentrate on Elijah's well being but I promise you that I will talk about this with you later." Said Nik as he cupped my face. I could see that he was honest and serious.
"How is everything with Oliver?" Nik asked me as he held me tight in his embrace and that made me cry even harder.
"The witches put some kind of spell on him and he died. They killed him, Nik and I couldn't do anything about it." I sobbed into his chest. Nik couldn't say or do anything to make me feel better, so he just stood there with his arms around me and let me cry. We stood like this until I was calm enough to walk back into Elijah's room and all three of us, Nik, Kol and myself, we knew that we wouldn't be able to sleep until Elijah was awake and back with us again. All we could do now is to wait.
Third person p.o.v
Finn came back to the tomb to find his mother sitting up still gasping for breath.
"What happened?" He asked his mother as he knelt down beside her.
"Niklaus refused my offer. Still burdened with hatred for me, for what happened to his child." Said Esther.
"He's a fool, you're actions will save this family, if that child had lived..."
"Dahlia would have returned and she would come for us all." Esther said as she's brought back to a memory from over a thousand years ago.
Dahlia was holding a tight grip on Esther's firstborn, Freya.
"Sister please! Do not do this!" Esther begged.
"You wanted a family, fate said otherwise and so you came to me and for a price, I granted your wish. Now I must collect." Said Dahlia as she kept an even tighter grip on Freya.
"When Mikael returns from his journey I swear…" Dahlia cut Esther off.
"You will tell him that Freya grew ill and died from the plague. You were forced to burn her body before it spread but not before it reached dear Aron here." Said Dahlia and chanted something under her breath. The boy with the charming blue eyes and golden hair fell to the ground in pain. Esther sat down next to him in terror.
"Sister, please don't do this! I cannot give up my child!" Screamed Esther as she clung herself to the boy on the ground.
"You have already offered me more than only this one child. Our bargain was for this firstborn and every firstborn of each generation that is to come. For as long as your line shall last…" Said Dahlia to her younger sister.
"If you do this. If you take my daughter, I swear to you. I will return to the black arts, I will grow power as a witch and I will make you pay!"
"Your power is nothing against mine. Foolish girl, you knew the bargain you made. And should you defy me, I will take all your children. Including little Finn, even unborn Elijah. Little Aron, there's nothing you can do anything for I'm afraid. He's too ill to even make it through the night." Said Dahlia before she picked up Freya and walked off with her. Esther cried out for her daughter at the same time that little Aron was laying on the grown in huge pain. It was bad enough that Dahlia took Freya away but now she and Mikael would lose yet another child.
So? Did you like it? A lot of things happened in this chapter. I wanted to mix up some things with Cami and my original idea was that she was hiding the secret of sleeping with Klaus earlier on. Not recently but a long time ago. I dropped the idea when it didn't feel right. I personally loved Ansel and I liked him with Amy. I have no idea on how I will write him later in the story.
Do you want Ansel to live, or do you want him dead?
Another thing I really liked; The fact that I'm Norwegian, I thought it was nice that The Originals was from Norway originally. Other than that, I hope you like the way I solved the "problem" with writing Aron and Freya into the story originally, I wanted to maybe have Aron as Elijah's twin but I decided that Aron is Finn's twin instead because Aron died before Elijah was born and Dahlia would be responsible for the death of Aron because she knew what he could become later on. I will explain more about Aron when we get to that point :)
*cathrineoriginal*
*natazwe: Thank you, thank you, thank you :) I didn't want to change Aron and Freya, so I hope that you like the way I solved it :)
*beth* I will bring Enzo back soon, I promise. I'm not sure how or when but he will come soon :)
*shakilove: I'm glad you liked it and I hope you've been catching up with the shows by now :)
*grapejuice101: glad you liked it! Sorry for the delay but as I explained in the A/N, I have to concentrate on school. This was just a "bonus" because I managed to finish my paper early :)
*Psycho17: Hey! I've never actually thought about Ansel and Esther that way.. About the love they shared and how it may be similar to Klaus and Amy's love. But then again, why would Esther plague Elijah's mind with the thought of Amy? She's a devil woman that likes to torment her children. I hope you liked the meeting between Ansel and Amy. I liked the fact that she could see a lot of Klaus in Ansel and I think that she is the only one that can. I know! I think they deserve to have more children but not like this. Not with Esther wanting them to take another body. I loved how she stood up to Mikael, it just shows her devoting to Klaus.. Haha! Glad you liked the dream. Did you see that I changed it a little?
*TetraGirl: I know, a lot is going on at the moment. How Elijah will cope with everything will be revealed... I think I have some clue on how to do it ;)
*Anna.B: Thank you! I loved how I could include Kol with Elijah. When I finished that chapter, I originally wanted Kol to stay with Elijah and go through everything he went through but then I thought about it and it was better the way I wrote it. I like to think that Elijah's love for Amy is much stronger than it is for Hayley in the show. And to speak of Hayley; did you think her reaction on seeing Hope again was disappointing? It felt like it wasn't that much emotion there. I know for a fact that Amy's reaction will be far more emotional than that.
About Amy being captured by Mikael so easily; I thought about her putting up a fight but then Klaus would have heard them and she was so caught of guard that she didn't have time to fight and being Amy, she thought that maybe she could talk him out of killing Klaus?
I don't know if you noticed, but I changed the ending of the dream with Elijah and Amy.. It was more powerful like that.. I think that with Esther telling both Elijah and Klaus that they could be happy with Amy is kind of sneaky.. It will definitely make some troubles later on. I'm not sure how I will do that chapter yet.. I think I know how I will do it but you'll just have to wait and see :)
*annie: Thank you and thank you for telling me. The problem is fixed now:) I'm not sure on how the story will go but I promise you'll know when I do :)
