He could see Murphy's eyes searching his for some answers, his mind rolling over thinking, did he believe him, would he have to tell him everything
"I trust you on this Fin, I hope you don't let me down" as he picks up the phone ringing Barba.
The breathe he had been holding released "I won't Lieutenant, at first I thought Liv was paranoid but after going to Rikers today and visiting Bronwyn Freed, I think she is onto something, and it will only get worse, I think we need to get Liv down here too"
"One step at a time Fin, we speak to Barba first, then get Sergeant Benson down here, remember she is on maternity leave"
It didn't take Fin long to explain it all to Murphy and Barba, waiting at the end to see if it was enough, wondering if they were able to help Liv finishing off "we need a warrant to be able to search/watch the cameras in the visiting room of the prison, and to be able to put a tap on Bronwyn's phone, the stupid woman is blinded by love and think Lewis can do no wrong, that the police are the ones that have a vendetta against him and he was wrongly accused" Fin finished off.
"Bronwyn Freed, she is that juror Woman that Liv thought Lewis was playing, makes sense now" Barba nodding talking more to himself than the others.
"I think even if she is helping him, she won't admit it, she doesn't realise what she is doing, Lewis has her under his spell like he has with others. She's not going to break, even showing her photos, telling her what he has done, she refuses to think or believe it" Fin replies shrugging
"She's probably never had a boyfriend before and he knew that, he's playing her and she believes that he loves her" Barba muses over
"Have you seen her, Lewis knew what he was doing when playing her, he's smart"
"We have to play this one carefully, I'll get the warrants but tapping her phone, I need more than suspicion on that, I don't think the judge will give that, start digging I need more information, get Liv back in here, have we searched the surrounds of her apartment, I'll see if I can get a warrant to get her bank details and credit card statements, you think she's involved get me more" Barba voice was full or authority "he's playing her at the moment"

He was starting to get worried knocking on Olivia's door, hearing her phone ringing inside ever since Lewis took her he along with the others blamed themselves not checking on her, each becoming over protective of each other
"Damn you Liv where are you" he wondered was he being paranoid or had she just gone out now she wasn't working, he got his answer as he heard
"Nick, you been waiting here long?"
"Not really, just arrived" not wanting to let her know
"We've just been walking around the park, it settles them down and gives me exercise and helps keep me semi fit" opening the door pushing the pram inside
"I'll just put them in their bouncer" reaching down seeing their outreached arms their big blue eyes looking up at her
"Can I Liv" reaching into the pram picking up Evie "you are so adorable, a real heartbreaker you are going to be, taking after your mummy" Nick cooes at her
Her eyes wide opened smiling up at him her small hand latching onto his finger grabbing it trying to bring it up to her mouth, his hand tickling her stomach
"You're good with her Nick, you know you can come over any time and visit them" the smile on Olivia's face watching him
"Zara is so far away now, I still get to see her some weekends, and she comes to stay in the school holidays, but my job and what happened with the shooting, and now Maria wants to move further away"
"I'm sorry Nick" Olivia's voice apologetic her eyes moving to her girls, not wanting to think what would happen if she didn't get to see them "that will be hard"
"yeah, I want to appeal it, so she can't move to Los Angles but…. "
Maria, she's my daughter you can't just move her to Los Angles, when will I get to see her, think of Zara here

Those words spat out at him what's that supposed to mean, I was never unfaithful to you the whole time you were away, Gil was before we were even together, before we knew each other, I could have had another life, I'm not going to let you do this Maria, I'm not going to let you take Zara away
Don't Nick, you don't want to start this, I'll dig up your past if you try to stop me, bring up things you don't want to be brought up, I will win full custody, you start this and I guarantee you won't see much of Zara at all
He knew he had stuff in his past, the things recently with IA all of which would of gone against him, now all he had was one weekend a month when she flew over for 3 days, half of which he had to pay and half of the school holidays

"you're lucky Liv" his eyes moving away from the precious bundle in his arms up to his partner, "you're getting to be what you always wanted, you're with a man you love, going to be married but you deserve it, if anyone deserves some happiness it is you"
"you'll get there Nick" her hand on his arm "anytime you want to change a dirty nappy just let me know" a chuckle in her voice
Gently putting Evie in her rocker, her attention turned back on Nick "So I take it you've found something out" her eyes not moving from his face
"you were right with Vanessa Mayer, she blames herself for her dad's death and mother's rape and you"
"me" the disbelief in her voice "why, because I was with Lewis, handcuffed, taped" bewilderment on her face "she just doesn't want to blame herself, believe that she helped in a way that she was the one who believed in him, was gullible that she took him back to her place I get it though" she replies sadly
"I think she just wants to blame someone, other than herself there like you said and it was easy to blame you, you were with him, he was out to prove something to you, that if you didn't push him so hard, have a vendetta, she went and visited Lewis in jail to try to get some answers I think, he said you wanted him to do it, she didn't believe it at first that he was capable but she now knows what he's like"
"Her whole family torn apart by him, it would be hard living with that" she replied softly deep in thought "not wanting to believe him, but despite it all she did believe him and he repaid her by killing her father" she finished off sadly
"Then we visited Bronwyn Freed she visits him every day, she is in love with him, Barba is working on taps of her phone and warrants for footage from the prison, we're not going to get anything from him, she thinks he has done nothing wrong, the police have a vendetta against him and that he is wrongly convicted"
"You're joking" Olivia cries out, disbelief in her voice before lowering it not wanting to scare the twins "How can people be so gullible and believe him" shaking her head unable to comprehend how a woman could believe him
"First his lawyers and now this I knew he was playing her at the trial, something was happening there I could see it" she actually believe he is innocent"
"I'm sorry Liv, she is totally in love with him, and believes he loves her, he surely knows how to pick them, we have tried to get something out of her, shown her what he is like but she just won't believe or it or wants to, but we aren't giving up, maybe he was just trying to rattle you and he will give up now" did he really believe that, he knew what he was like the obsession he had with Olivia, but neither of them knew how deep his obsession ran.
"Hi babe, Nick" feeling Brian's lips on top of her head as he walks over to the bouncer "how are my girls today" tickling their tummies before turning his attention back to Olivia
"Everything okay" he asked seeing the seriousness on their faces
"yeah, Nick just came over to say hello to us, you know how irresistible our daughters are" trying to keep the smile on her face and her voice light "Thanks Nick, I'm sure they love their time with Uncle Nick" walking him to the door
"I don't want Brian to know not yet" she whispered to Nick at the door "I will tell him, when I know something but I don't want him to worry not until I … he has enough on his plate with work and Tucker working him so hard, he doesn't need this to"
"Everything alright Liv" she could hear the concern he was trying to hide in his voice as she walked back into the small lounge room
"Yeah Bri, Nick just wanted someone to talk to and I think he misses Zara too, I haven't bathed the girls yet if you want to do that, and I'll get dinner, sorry haven't started yet, we can get take out if you are hungry"
"I don't mind Liv, take out will save you cooking and our health" he joked his eyes moving up to hers
"Just as well your semi cute Cassidy my cooking hasn't made you sick" narrowing her eyes at him
"yet" the cheeky grin on his face, moving closer to her his hands moving slowly down her back landing on her bum "you do know you turn me on glaring at me like that" his hands moving under her shirt "you can cook for me anytime, one of those aprons would look so sexy on you babe especially with nothing else on" whispering huskily in her ear.
Slapping his bum moving away from him "later, you have bath time duty whilst I go and poison you"
"how can I say no to spending time with my two favourite girls" moving towards his daughters the smile on his face
"Favourite hey, Just as well they are adorable" trying to put a scowl on her face
His lips on top of her head "there hot momma will always be my number one" his mouth finding its way to her lips brushing them softly and gently "want me to show you why later" raising his eyebrows up and down

The conversation between Nick and Maria was not the one in the show, it was one that I made up as part of this story, Maria moved to Los Angles as per the show but that is where the similarity ends.
