Anonymous: "Where's Kensi?" Sam asks, smirking.

"Uh…"

Deeks awkwardly folds both arms across his bare chest. He'd stupidly assumed that it had been Kensi ringing the doorbell, returning home with their chinese food. Not Sam, stopping by to drop off Kensi's cell phone, which she'd left at work. Needless to say, both of the men were surprised by who they found on the other side of the door.

So now they're standing in the living room, Sam fully dressed and Deeks only half dressed- clad in a pair of boxer shorts.

That's it.

He scratches the scruff on his chin. "She's… out."

Sam cocks his head to one side. "Out?"

Deeks clears his throat. "Yeah. Out. Ya know… like getting food. She's getting food."

He's still smiling. "And you're here?"

"Kinda."

"You're kinda here?"

"No, I mean, I just…" Deeks puffs out his cheeks. "I was just dropping by."

"In boxer shorts?"

"I was… dropping by to use her shower. One of the pipes burst at my place." He gestures encompassingly with his hands. "Big mess."

Sam nods, both eyebrows raised. "Right, right. But why didn't you use the showers at work?"

"The showers at-at work?"

Sam seems to be enjoying this way the hell too much. "Yeah."

"They… I don't know. I just came here." He chuckles nervously. "I mean what are partners for, right?"

"Sharing showers?" This just keeps on getting better and better.

"No! Of course not! I wasn't trying to insinuate, that we were, like, sharing showers, cause we weren't. I just meant that when a partner is in need of something, you give it to them, and-" Sam's eyebrows shoot up even higher. "-no, dude… n-not like that! I just-"

"I get it," Sam says finally, cutting Deeks off. He's more than a little grateful for the interruption, and sighs.

"You do?"

"Totally," he replies, still smiling. "You two are sleeping together."

Deeks' eyes widen, and he opens his mouth to object. Sam extends a hand to stop him, grins, and drops Kensi's phone onto the coffee table.

"Tell your partner I stopped by," he says with one hand on the doorknob. Deeks looks genuinely pained. "Or, on second thought… don't."

He pulls the door open but pauses in the doorway. "Oh, and a word of advice?"

Deeks closes one eye, practically wincing. "Yeah?"

Sam looks him up and down, grinning. "Never, ever answer the door to someone else's house without pants on."

Deeks nods, smiling sheepishly.

"Night dude."

Sam doesn't even wait until the door is fully closed behind himself to start laughing.

"Night Deeks."
