Chapter Thirty Six "Happy Endings!"

Disclaimer: I own nothing but my characters I made up!

October 23rd, Saturday, 10: 30am Belle POV

I heard a knock at the door and Katie's voice. "It's time to wake up sweetheart, the day is finally hereeee!" Katie almost sang the last part and I laughed. It was Katie and Glen's wedding day. I got out of bed and into the shower washing off quickly.

Once I was done I met Katie in the living room where we were setting up for the girls to do everything for the wedding. I had stayed at Katie's last night so I could be here to get ready. Chloe was going to take care of Storm for me. The weather forecast was great for today, a high of seventy and sunny all day. Perfect for Katie's outdoor wedding!

Besides me, Katie only had one bridesmaid. Her best friend Brandy was also one of her bridesmaids. My Dad was Glen's best man and a friend of Glen's was a groomsman. But they wanted to keep it small so that was it. Sam, Jen, Chloe, Brynna, Grace, Lila Kenworthy, Trudy Allen and Mrs. Coley were all helping set up for the wedding today. They were supposed to be here soon, they were probably finishing up chores around their ranches. The front door opened and in walked Brandy.

"Can you believe it's here?!" Brandy almost squealed as her and Katie hugged. Brandy handed me a coffee and a cinnamon bagel she had stopped to pick up for us on her way here.

"I can't! I'm getting married!" Katie fanned at her face and I knew her pregnancy hormones were getting the best of her on top of her bride-to-be excitement. I rubbed her shoulders with my free hand.

"Take a deep breath. No hyperventilating before the wedding." I giggled a bit and Katie calmed down. "I'm going to go make sure feeding is running smoothly—because I know you want to but as the bride you can't—and I'll be right back in." Katie threw me a grateful smile. All Katie was responsible for today was getting pampered, getting dressed and walking down that aisle to Glen. I, as maid of honor, was supposed to make sure everything went smoothly today for her. I left them both talking excitedly and waved at Callie, a local girl who I learned did hair and had adopted the lead mare of the Phantom's herd from Sam, she was here to do makeup and hair.

"How's Katie?" She called out to me. I smiled at her.

"As to be expected!" I called back, she gave me a thumbs up, she understood a bride's nerves. She had helped at Brynna Forster's wedding too. I walked into the barn where Spirit was housed and saw Drew feeding with a few of their stable hands. "Good morning!"

Drew looked up and gave me an excited smile. "Good morning! How's my little girl doing?"

I laughed a bit. "She's really nervous but I guess that's normal. Brandy and Callie are up at the house now, I just came to check on how feeding was going." I stopped to give Spirit a rub and some kisses.

"Even on her wedding day that girl can't trust me to run this ranch." Drew shook his head with a chuckle. "What did she think I did before she helped me?"

I smiled. "Well I think she's so used to be out here that it's weird not to. I wonder how she'll do on their honeymoon.."

"She'll probably drive Glen crazy." Drew answered. "So are you ready to be a part of Sterling Stables?" Drew gave me a one armed hug. While Katie and Glen were on their honeymoon, we were going to move everything from Glen's house to here.

"Yeah I am." I felt my smile grow bigger. "It'll be nice to be on a horse farm again." Drew chuckled at me.

"Well it'll be nice to have some company while Katie's on her honeymoon and I will accept your help gratefully." I was taking over Katie's position while they were away. They were honeymooning in Mexico for two weeks! The resort Glen had booked was beautiful. Luckily that was the only out of pocket expense that Glen and Katie had. Drew was following tradition and paying for their wedding. Glen and Katie had paid for the honeymoon and that's why they were going for two weeks.

"It'll be fun. I've actually missed having the responsibilities of helping out around the stables. Plus I can really work with Storm in the arena, it'll be great." Although I had been riding Storm every day, I wasn't doing much besides taking him around the pasture. Of course I was grounded so...well had been grounded. Glen had let me off the hook a week ago. Quinn and I couldn't be happier.

"I know Quinn is gonna be over here quite often in these next two weeks," Drew looked at me amused. "Do you think he'd help me fix the fencing in the back pasture?"

"Of course he would." I smiled as I thought of my boyfriend. "I'll ask him after the wedding."

"Thanks Belle." Drew said. "Looks like the ladies are here, you should probably go talk with them about where you're putting stuff." I ran off towards the cars pulling up. "Hey ladies!" It was Sam, Brynna, Grace, Jen, Lila and Chloe. Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Coley would be coming a little later with food they had made for the reception we would have tonight.

Their greetings all came together. I smiled at them. "Let's get talking about set up!"

For the next two hours I instructed them on where Katie wanted everything put, how she want it put up and helped out decorating. As Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Coley arrived with the food, I helped them set up the food in the kitchen where it needed to be until later. The wedding was at three. It was about one now.

"Sam, Jen, Chloe, will you come with me?" I asked them. They followed me outside and I held onto strings on fall colored leaves. The wedding was fall themed, it being October and all. "Katie wants these on the backs of the chairs for decoration. Maybe Chloe and I take this side" I pointed to the right. "Jen and Sam you take the left."

They all nodded and we got it done within fifteen minutes. We all stood there to look at the work everyone had done. Leaves lay scattered along the aisle runner on each side(thank goodness it wasn't windy!) and pumpkins were at each aisle, the string of leaves hung off of the backs of the chair, an arch stood at where Glen and Katie would say their vows. The arch was covered in colorful leaves, sticks, orange lights wrapped all the down. It was beautiful.

I looked at the time on my cell phone—and answered a text from Quinn—it was about one thirty. "Oh crap! I need to get in there and get myself ready!"

…...

I don't know who felt more nervous right now, Katie or me. Katie was in the house with her father until it was time for her to walk out. Brandy and I were outside of the door, looking at everyone that had shown up. My Dad stood behind us with Glen's friend, Greg. "Hey it'll all be over in five seconds." Brandy said putting a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "You just take your Dad's arm, walk down with the aisle and stand next to where Katie will be. Just follow me and Greg, then it'll Katie coming down! All we have to do is stand there and enjoy!"

I managed to get a small smile on my face. I could see Glen standing up at the arch talking to Dallas, who was officiating the wedding. I couldn't believe that Dallas could do that but it made it ten times more wonderful for Katie and Glen to have someone they personally knew marry them. Quinn and Ryan stood on each side of the aisle, Quinn of Glen's side, Ryan on Katie's. They were the usher's and had directed guests to their side.

I heard the song start that we all would be walking down to. It was "Feels Like Home" By Chantal Kreviazuk. Katie didn't want the traditional bride song. Brandy started walking with Greg, I grabbed onto my Dad's arm and waited the appropriate time then we followed. I took a deep breath as we started walking, I could feel so many eyes on me and I was so nervous. My Dad squeezed my arm in support as we walked and Glen smiled as he saw me walking down with my Dad. We went our separate ways as we got to the arch and I stood by Brandy holding my hands together.

Everyone stood up as the song came to the part where Katie would come out now. I heard Glen take in a deep breath as Drew and Katie started down the aisle. Katie's dress was beautiful. It was strapless but lace covered her shoulders and lace went all the way down her dress, then the dressed flowed out a bit. She had a veil on as well and Drew held tightly onto her. I looked over at Glen and he was mesmerized, he had eyes only for Katie. My Dad and I shared a happy smile. Could anything be more wonderful than this? I tried to catch some of the lyrics as I reveled in the wedding day happiness.

Well, if you knew how much this moment means to me
And how long I've waited for your touch
And if you knew how happy you are making me
I never thought that I'd love anyone so much …...

I smiled at the lyrics, they were so right for Katie and Glen.

…...

As Glen and Katie took pictures together as husband and wife, I helped guide guests to the tent. Then I made sure all the food was set up and warmed up to eat. Soon Bryan, Adam, Ryan and I would be on stage. Katie and Glen had asked us to perform for at least a little bit, like during their first song, the father daughter dance, and a couple others then the DJ would take over so we could enjoy ourselves.

"Hey there my gorgeous girlfriend." Quinn's arms slipped around me and pulled me to face him. He looked amazing in his black jeans and his button up beige shirt, of course he had his cowboy boots on too. I wish I could wear my boots instead of these heels but it was Katie's day. I reached up to kiss him quickly.

"Hey, what did you think?" I asked excitedly. I had heard many guests complimenting the wedding and the decorations.

"It looks great. You girls did a wonderful job." Quinn told me. "I just love you all dressed up like this, I rarely get to see you like this."

"I'll try to dress up more then." I winked at him and he smiled.

"I love you." Quinn kissed me. I hugged him tightly. We had missed each other so much when we had to stay away from each other. Thankfully Quinn and Glen had patched up things up because I hated when Glen was mad at Quinn.

"I love you too." I felt a poke on my shoulder and it was Drew.

"Katie and Glen will be coming in a minute or two. They'd like you and Bryan to announce them as husband and wife." Drew told me. I saw Bryan wave at me from the stage.

"Oh! I guess I better get up there then!" I gave Quinn and Drew a smile and ran—well ran as best as I could in heels—towards the stage. Bryan helped me up onto the stage and I thanked him. I was nervous to sing in front of everyone again but hey it was mostly my neighbors and friends anyways, right?

…...

Quinn POV

I watched as Belle talked to Bryan onstage. The wedding had gone wonderfully without a hitch and Mom had lost it during the ceremony. My Dad had just rubbed her back soothingly. "Weddings make your Mom cry, she just loves them." My dad had said with a chuckle. Belle and her Dad coming down the aisle hit me a bit hard because I could just imagine Belle doing that same walk in a couple of years, but at our wedding.

She and Bryan were probably talking about songs they were going to sing together and I just couldn't get over how beautiful she looked all dressed up. Her dress was brown and it had two straps that twisted over her shoulder. The dress was just above her knees and was flowing out kind of like a sundress. She wore black heels that were a bit too high for her as I had saw her trip twice in the tent already. Her brown hair was curled and some of it was clipped together in the back but most of it hung down in curls on her shoulders. I didn't think she could be any more beautiful than she was now.

I glanced around the tent at my family, friends and neighbors. They were all having a good time. I could see Sam running around and taking pictures with her camera. Katie had asked her to capture pictures of the guests as they enjoyed the wedding and reception. Sam had been floored but accepted happily. There were two tables of delicious looking food that I knew was cooked by Mrs. Coley and Grace Forster. Mrs. Allen had cooked up desserts too I think. On another table was their wedding cake and a little station where you could make caramel apples(with all different kinds of toppings) and s'mores. Belle had been ecstatic about the s'mores thing, she loved s'mores. All the long tables lined around the dance floor but they were together(with little gaps in four corners so guests could go to the dance floor) so all the guests could talk. There was a table near the opening of the tent for the wedding party. Belle would sit there but I would also get to sit with her up there. The tables had mason jars with leaves in them and tea light candles(flame-less lights). I knew Belle, Chloe, Sam and Jen had worked hard on making them. They had glued fake leaves on the inside of the jar to go with the fall theme and put the little tea lights in them.

Belle had done a great job as a maid of honor. She said she had fun planning and getting the decorations with Katie, it was a great bonding experience for them both. Of course she couldn't attend the bachelorette party that was a week ago. Katie and her friends had went to Las Vegas to party it up for her last single weekend. Belle, of course being only sixteen, wasn't invited. But we had just hung out since Glen was also having his bachelor party.

I heard the microphone come on and grinned in anticipation. I couldn't wait til the party got started.

…...

Belle POV(I won't be writing out all the songs played)

I looked at Bryan as Drew nodded for us to go ahead and announce Glen and Katie's entrance. "We happily introduce to you, for the very first time as husband and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Scott!" We said in unison and cheers broke out as Glen and Katie walked in together. They looked so happy together it made me tear up.

Adam and Ryan started the music to their first dance song. It was "From This Moment On" By Shania Twain and Bryan White. (Song in Italics—Belle is underlined, Bryan is bold, bold underlined is them together)

From this moment life has begun,
From this moment you are the one,
Right beside you is where I belong
From this moment on

From this moment I have been blessed
I live only for your happiness
And for your love I'd give my last breath
From this moment on

I give my hand to you with all my heart
Can't wait to live my life with you, can't wait to start
You and I will never be apart
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment on

I watched as Glen and Katie looked into each others eyes as they danced. Bryan and I smiled at each other as the music played. Cameras flashed as they twirled around the floor together.

You're the reason I believe in love
And you're the answer to my prayers from up above
All we need is just the two of us
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment
I will love you as long as I live
From this moment on

The song slowly ended and everyone clapped and whistled as Glen and Katie met in a kiss. I reached out and squeezed Bryan's hand just feeling the happiness and excitement run through me. He grinned back at me as if he was feeling the same. I felt so elated, like I was on top of the world. There honestly could not be a happier day that could possibly happen right now.

Bryan brought the microphone back up to his mouth. "And now if everyone will step back off the dance floor, we'd like to start the father, daughter dance."

Katie and Drew had picked "Because You Loved Me" By Celine Dion. Bryan would quietly sing along with me in the chorus but mainly, I was doing it solo.

Glen handed Katie off to Drew and Drew pulled his daughter close to him and cherish this dance with her.

For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful baby
You're the one who held me up
Never let me fall
You're the one who saw me through through it all

I met my Dad's eyes in the crowd as I sang. He gave me a smile and a thumbs up. I smiled back at him.

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

You gave me wings and made me fly
You touched my hand I could touch the sky
I lost my faith, you gave it back to me
You said no star was out of reach
You stood by me and I stood tall
I had your love I had it all
I'm grateful for each day you gave me
Maybe I don't know that much
But I know this much is true
I was blessed because I was loved by you

I could Wyatt grab Sam into a hug as they watched Drew and Katie. Seems like this song was drawing together all the fathers and daughters here.

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

You were always there for me
The tender wind that carried me
A light in the dark shining your love into my life
You've been my inspiration
Through the lies you were the truth
My world is a better place because of you

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

Bryan and I decided to let the DJ take over for awhile, we waved Adam and Ryan off the stage. Katie and Glen immediately hugged all of us, going from one to another. "You all were so amazing. Thank you!" Katie said tearfully and Glen kissed my forehead.

"You did great up there. I couldn't of been happier to see you singing up there." Glen told me, looking teary eyed himself. Darn weddings making everyone emotional.

"Thanks." I whispered to him.

"Let's get to the table and start eating huh?" Glen grinned at me and I followed him along with Katie.

"Men!" Katie hissed with a giggle. "Always thinking about food." I rolled my eyes.

"I know!" I hissed back at her with a smile. "Tell me about it!"

A little while later after mostly everyone had eaten, the DJ started the music up again. "Care to dance?" Glen held out his hand and I grabbed onto his hand. He pulled me onto the dance floor and I recognized the Rascal Flatts song playing.

My wish for you is that this life becomes all that you want it to..

"My Wish" By Rascal Flatts.

"Thank you for everything you've done for me and Katie leading up to the wedding and today." Glen said as we danced. I squeezed his hand that held mine.

"It's no problem. I've enjoyed doing all this stuff for the wedding, it was fun." I told him and I was being honest. I loved all the wedding details and helping Katie get everything ready. "Plus everything was worth it when I saw you guys getting married. You both look so happy."

"We are." Glen replied softly. I smiled at him.

"That's why I did all this." I said. "And because of course I love you both." Glen gave me a gentle spin.

"Are you going to be okay while we're gone?" Glen was obsessing over if I would be okay alone without him for the two weeks. I laughed.

"I'll be fine! I'll be moving our stuff, going to school and riding. I probably won't even notice you're gone." I teased him. Glen chuckled.

"Well thanks, try not to miss me too much!" Glen joked. The song ended and Quinn stepped forward.

"May I?" Quinn gestured towards me. Glen put my hand in his.

"She's all yours." Glen gave Quinn's shoulder a pat as he walked away. Quinn pulled me into his arms.

"You and Bryan were great up on stage." Quinn told me as we started dancing to a Brad Paisley song. I couldn't remember the name of it though.

"Thanks." I accepted the compliment happily. "I think Bryan and I work good together."

"You do." Quinn agreed. "I can't wait to see you in the final singing competition." Oh yeah..I had almost forgotten about that.

"Yeah that should be interesting." I took a deep breath. Quinn kissed my forehead.

"You'll do fine." Quinn reassured me and we finished our dance with a kiss.

As the night went on, I danced with many people. Sam, Jen, Darrell, Ryan, Nick, Chloe, my Dad, Drew, Luke Ely and to Quinn's little bit of displeasure, Pepper. I thought he had gotten over that.

After Katie and Glen left for their honeymoon, I started cleaning up as guests left. I had let Brandy leave so she could go home to her husband and baby. Quinn, Bryan, Chloe, Nick, Rob, Sam, Grace, Brynna, Wyatt, Pepper, Mrs. Allen, Mrs. Coley and Ryan had stayed behind to help clean up with Drew and I. Ross drove a very tired and partied out Dallas home. Maxine and Luke had plans early tomorrow morning to go see Mac, Quinn's grandfather, Adam would be doing Luke's work and Nate had to work tomorrow morning. Jen, Lila and Jed had taken Linc and Rachel home. My Dad had went to Glen's for the night, I would be staying here at Sterling Stables for the night since Katie had asked me to. She worried a bit about Drew, she didn't want him to be all alone and sad after her and Glen left for the honeymoon. Dad would take care of the dogs and Chloe would make sure Storm was okay.

With all of us working together, everything was cleaned up in no time. I looked at the clock, it was nine. Whew. I stood with Quinn and Drew as I watched the rest of everybody leave. I had asked Drew if Quinn could stay for a bit so we could plan the starting of the move tomorrow. He agreed. Maxine had told Quinn to be home by ten thirty.

Quinn held my hand as we walked around the stable yard. The October moon shone on us both and I smiled at him as he placed his jacket over my shoulders. "Quite a day." I commented. Quinn nodded in agreement.

"I don't know how you're not dead on your feet." Quinn replied as we sat on a bench in the tack room. I shrugged.

"All the adrenaline hasn't run out of me yet." When it did, I would probably collapse where I was. I thought to myself. Quinn leaned over and kissed me, but this time it was more than our sweet kisses today as I put my arms around him. He laid me back on the bench and I wrapped myself around him. A few minutes later we broke apart, breathing hard.

"How do you even have enough energy to do that?" Quinn groaned as I kissed his neck.

"Do what?" I feigned innocence. Quinn nipped my lip.

"Seduce me and try to have sex." Quinn kissed down my neck to my collarbone. I arched a bit at the touch of his lips.

"You started it." I was a bit breathless. I yanked at his belt. "And now you have to finish it!" He groaned but gave in. I felt my dress slide up, my panties slid down and I heard his zipper.

A half hour later, I laid on the floor—where we had ended up—as he gently kissed my shoulder. "I love you." He said as he trailed from one shoulder to the other with kisses.

"I love you too." I spoke softly, a bit dazed after our "session". Quinn hadn't had a condom but I guess we didn't really think about it because I was on birth control.

"You okay?" He asked, a bit concerned. I smirked at him.

"Oh I'm more than okay." He grinned at me and he knew he had done well. "An amazing ending to a wonderful day."

"I'd say." Quinn chuckled as he put his belt back in place. "I think you should get in the house and get some sleep. We have a lot of moving to start tomorrow. We're gonna be so tired on Monday." Quinn helped me up.

"I know. I wish school was canceled." I sighed. "I still have to get some riding in tomorrow after we get done. I can't let Storm go two days without riding, not when he's doing so good."

"Well I'll bring coffee over when I come." We were at Quinn's truck now. I put my arms around him in a close hug. "I'll be dreaming about you."

I smiled. "I hope so." Quinn opened his truck door. "I love you."

"I love you too." He leaned down to kiss me one more time. "Now get in the house." I did as he said and he drove away. The adrenaline was starting to run out of me so I should probably head for the shower so after that I could fall into bed. I saw Drew was already up in bed and I went into the bathroom. I leaned against the door and smiled.

My life was getting pretty good. Maybe everything would start to fall more into place now. Glen and Katie had gotten their happy ending, so there was hope.

A/N: Hey readers! Sorry it's been a couple of months! I now have everything at least updated. Now I'm just going back over my stories to keep updating. I will be updating my stories every few days/weekly now. I have updated many of my stories every few days within the last month so I'm getting better with updates again! I'm hoping to finish this story soon, hopefully by summer. Then I'll wait a bit and start the sequel(IF you readers still want it!). I knew there was a want for a sequel when I first mentioned it, but is it still something you readers want? Are you still interested in Ripped Pictures? I see the hits this story gets but haven't gotten any reviews since July! So I'd love to see some reviews for RP! Please :) What did you think of Katie and Glen's wedding/getting married?

Maybe once I finish this I can finally post the Chloe/Bryan story. I also have a poll on my profile about a possible Phantom Stallion: Wild Horse Island story. Go vote if you read that series! I also am almost finished in setting up a photobucket account with all my characters on it(pictures of who I imagine my characters) so that will be great once it's set up and I'll be sure to share the link! At some point I am going to go back and fix all the mistakes I made in this story and fix it a little. Probably not til I'm almost finished it though.

Oh I'm also looking for suggestions for Phantom Stallion books to buy. I lost almost all of them except for ones I had on my Nook&Kindle. I have 1, 9, 14, 19, 20, & 24. Any suggestions for what other book to buy? What was your favorite and why?

Anyways, Thanks for reading and I'll be getting another update to you soon! -Quinnandsethsgirl15
