Life of a Castaway (book 2)

Maya's Pov

I looked around, not seeing anything for more than about the distance to my legs.

I could teleport.

I felt the water around me. "Not an option." A glowstone lamp flickered on, gifting me with the ability to see. My surroundings were barren. This gave me sort of an uneasy feeling since there was so much room.

"What does she expect to do with me?" I stared at the iron door. My only means of escape. I decided that silence was the best way to think, when the door finally opened.

"What do you want?" I asked as Erin walked in.

"Not much just some information."

"About what? I know quite a lot." I said.

"Oh, you know..." I raised an eyebrow, a suspicious expression on my face. "The Sky army."

"I know nothing of the sort." I said, rewarded with a punch.

"I don't think I believe you." I laughed.

"I guess you should think a little more since you're not completely sure." Erin sighed.

"I promised myself I would stay calm, but now I see that was an irrational idea." She gave me a look that said she wouldn't take anymore crap. Too bad that's all she would get. "Now, I'm going to ask you one more time. What do you know about the Sky Army?"

"That I'm in it?" I honestly don't know that much other than that. I've only there for about four months.

"I want a real answer." Erin said. "Please."

"I'm not the person to ask about that. I haven't even been there for half a year." Erin said.

"Fine, then I'm done with you." She walked out, closing the door.

"I think I just screwed Sky over." I sighed. "I can't do anything right.

Deadlox's Pov

I struggled against my restraints. "Let me go!" I hissed.

"Why would I?" Seto asked.

"Because I'm your friend." He laughed.

"You're not my friend. I stared at him. "You never were."

"Who was the person who comforted you when you when you were kicked?" Seto didn't respond. "Seto!" He refused to look at me. " I know you know the answer!"

"You were never my friend! You only used me! You. Never. Cared!"

"Seto, you know that's a lie! Please, listen to me."

"Why would Erin lie to me?"

"She's using you."

"She wouldn't use my help, then kick me away when I'm outlived my purpose. She's not like you."

She's using his rage against me.

"Look, Seto, I'm sorry about what happened, and I know you're upset, but that doesn't give you the right to kill me." I said it as calm and evenly as I could. Seto looked me up and down, then his gaze caught mine. I let a small smile play on my lips. He looked away.

"I wasn't going to kill you." He muttered. "I never wanted to kill you." His voice rose. "But I have to."

"Seto, you don't have to do anything!"

"I'm sorry Ty."

"No, Seto!"

"But I have to do this."

"Seto!" I screamed. He aimed what looked like a Tesla at me, and fired.

Sky's Pov

I looked up at Erin. "What do you want?" I asked, hoping Ty was okay.

"It's about your friend." Damn it!

"What about him?" I tried to keep my voice even.

"I just wanted to let you know he is no longer with us." I felt empty, like something was missing. It took me a few minutes to register in my brain that I was punching Erin. She pushed me away. "I'm not the one you should punch! Your friend Seto is the one who killed him." I sat down, staring at the ground.

"You're not going to let me out. Are you?"

"You are correct." She had an evil smile. I inhaled, then closed my eyes.

"Just go away." I said. "I'm sure you know what grief feels like." There was the sound of a door opening, then closing.

"Seto." I said quietly. "You're going down."

Dun... dun... dun! What is going to happen next I wonder!

Sky: You know exactly what's going to happen.

Me: I'll tie you up again! Anyway, this was a short chapter because I found a pretty good stopping point, but I will update a little faster since I have written part of the next chapter.
