Reunion, Part I

Nova's Vision…

As Sam's consciousness delved into the recesses of his own mind, he found himself locked behind a separate entity that has taken over his mind, a Dark Nova, conceived by the dark energy and negative force behind whatever Reaper did to him on-board Taskmaster's ship. Sam's mind was now floating away in a dream-like state, trapped by the boundaries Reaper's Dark Nova had imprisoned him in.

It wasn't like Reaper's dream-isle, where pieces of his memories lingered, it was in complete pitch black darkness, but it was rather like a library, rows and rows of black shelves that didn't seem to end, each one of them containing what seemed to be a different memory or flashback belonging to someone else in the form of a book. Sam's presence was the only thing illuminating his way in the dark.

"Here we go again." Sam sighed. "It's bad enough I can't freaking wake-up, I'm stuck in limbo!"

He walked around the shelves, looking for a way to possibly get out of this place. But the shelves continued on and on. As he walked, he heard whispers and voices speaking throughout the darkness, presumably from the memories that were stored within the shelves themselves.

"I'm going to need some serious therapy after this. I'll never be able to walk into a library again." Sam scratched his chin, continuing to look around. "Maybe there's a clue as to how to get out in one of these books or something."

Sam walked along the shelves and randomly selected a row to browse the memories locked within. Amongst them was one titled Escape to Genosha.

"Genosha? What the hell is that?" Sam shrugged. "Well it says 'escape', so it might mean escape here, right?"

Sam opened the book. Its pages displayed a bright white light that filled the entire room, changing the scene around him and placing Sam in some sort of metallic office. "Metallic" meaning there were steel panels lining the walls.

"What in the hell...?" Sam looked around.

There was a large black desk that was at the end of the long office with windows overlooking what appeared to be the sea behind it. The black seat that was behind the desk was turned to face the windows… and somebody was sitting within it.

Suddenly, the black and metal door entrance to the office opened, and a masked hooded character walked in. He wore a black hood over a whitish mask; he wore a black battle-style armor that covered his body in black plating. A sword was strapped to his back and his bracers emanated a blue-tinted electric glow.

"Phantom? What the hell are you doing here?" Sam questioned, seeing as to who it was.

Phantom's lack of acknowledgement towards Sam proved to him that the subjects of the memory couldn't see him, and that he was simply viewing the memory instead of actually being there, as he suspected.

"The remaining mutants are almost finished loading up on the ships, master." Phantom stated to the entity that was sitting in the seat behind the desk. "You and I are the only ones left in the fortress."

"Master?!" Sam gasped. "Since when do you call anybody 'master'?!"

"Good." The dark and familiar voice spoke from the man behind the desk. The seat slowly turned, revealing Magneto to be behind it.

"Magneto?!" Sam did a double-take, looking at Phantom then at Magneto, then back to Phantom. "You're working for the enemy, Phantom?!"

"I trust you destroyed all the records pertaining to Genosha's location?" Magneto spoke as she stood up, walking around his desk and standing in front of it towards Phantom.

"I have, there will be nothing that S.H.I.E.L.D. can access once they arrive to this island." Phantom assured him.

"I see." Magneto held his head low. "The end times for our race are nearly here, my friend. Genosha is our last hope, the last bastion of peace we can hope for all of mutant-kind."

"There must be a way we can prevent this." Phantom confidently stated. "Perhaps we can send an envoy to a trusted human government? We can plead with them that what S.H.I.E.L.D. is doing is wrong. This is genocide!"

"What in the world are they talking about?" Sam sat down on one of the empty chairs, listening in on the conversation.

"My dear friend Charles was the last hope for diplomacy." Magneto sighed. "Even with the amount of humans who respected him, S.H.I.E.L.D. was still able to assassinate him. Now, I doubt anybody will be willing to help us out, not with S.H.I.E.L.D. in every country on the planet."

"This isn't fair!" Phantom yelled, the electricity in his bracers intensified. "All we ever asked was to live in peace alongside man, and this is the way we are treated!"

Magneto merely watched as his ally exploded in raging fury. "We must adapt to the changing environment. Our goal now is to survive."

"We must fight!" Phantom snapped back. "I've sacrificed too much for us to creep into a corner and wait for them to slaughter us!"

"There are women, there are children; mutants who we can't afford to put on the frontlines if we are to seek salvation from the human threat." Magneto stated. "Believe me; I've weighed all my options… Genosha is the safest choice for us all. Its defenses are strong and finding it is even harder with the kind of technology we have to use."

Phantom shook his head in disapproval. "Nothing will hide us from the horde of Sentinels they have at their disposal."

Magneto crossed his arms. "I will seek other alternatives to this. I have heard of artifacts that we can use to turn the tide of this conflict. I just need to find them."

At that moment, the environment began shaking. Sam realized that the memory was dissolving away, causing him to fall through the floor into surrounding darkness, landing in the same library he had found himself before.

"Ow, well thanks for warning me about the fall there!" Sam cursed the darkness above him. "Well, I wonder what the hell that whole thing with Phantom and Magneto was all about."

Sam paced around, pondering it. "Maybe Phantom used to work for Magneto in the past? No, no, that can't be it, can it? And, I'm pretty sure S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't off killing mutants left and right either. If that was the case, I would've heard about it by now! It sounds like it was going on for a while now…"

The darkness of the library roared with more whispers and voices from the memory books.

"I need to find a way to break out of this place and get back to my friends." Sam crossed his arms. "That douchebag Reaper sure knows how to piss you off when he steals your body and kicks your mind to the curve."

On-board The Eidolon... (Spidey's POV)…

Now back within New York state borders, Peter woke Ava back up so that she could guide The Eidolon back down at the Sanctuary. He then put his mask back on and opened the cockpit door to get the team to ready up before they arrive. He walked into an arm-wrestling battle between Wolfe and Powerman, which was lasting a while with both Firewalker and Iron Fist cheering their respective teammates on. Fox excluded herself from it, continuing to meditate alongside Phantom.

"Well about time, spider!" Firewalker greeted him. "Ya'll done kissing and getting dirty back there? You were about to miss the fight of the century here, I'm telling you!"

Did he really just ask that? "…done kissing and getting dirty back there…?"

Well, for his information, I wasn't getting "dirty".

"Firewalker here has bet a new pair of sneakers if Powerman wins over Wolfe. I aim to win this bet." Iron Fist proudly stated. "I myself had to bet one of my more favorite jackets."

Ha! I know Iron Fist doesn't like to flash his jackets around, but they're actually pretty neat. He's got this cool dragon design on one of them. I actually think they're imported too, so twice as cool! Firewalker better be betting some cool shoes for Iron Fist to bet something like that up!

"Careful, I'm not sure Firewalker has what he's willing to bet!" Spidey chuckled.

"Hey! I always make good on my bets!" Firewalker assured him.

"Uh-huh, sure." Spidey turned his attention to Fox, who stood back up from her meditative state to greet him.

Well, this is Specter Haven's first outing as a whole team. I hope Fox doesn't exclude herself like this in all the stuff the team does, but I'm sure she's just making sure their leader doesn't go belly-up in all this.

"Spider-Man, how are you feeling?" Fox politely asked.

"Better now that Ava and I were able to talk things through. I'm happier now that she's okay and… you know, not dead."

Yeah, that would've been a catastrophe. Crying would've been involved for sure.

"That's always a plus." Fox smiled, glancing down at Phantom.

"How is our Phantom doing? Better?" Spidey questioned in concern.

"Too soon to tell." Fox sighed, crossing her arms. "I want to be able to get him looked at with some medical resources. I hope this Sanctuary can provide that."

Medical resources? I don't see why she needs that, Phantom's got a healing factor!

Unless it's gotten that bad.

"Wait, you know how medical stuff?"

Fox nodded. "Apart from leading the dojo, I volunteered at the hospital. I got to learn a bit, didn't take me long to see how everything worked."

Well, that's two things Phantom and Fox have in common, both know how to be medics!

"You think you'll be able to help him out a little bit more if you had that?"

"Maybe." Fox shrugged. "I've also been trying to delve into his mind to see if I can find a way to wake him up eternally, by way of activating a memory for him to relive or speaking to him directly through there but… I haven't made any progress."

"You can do that? So you can enter people's minds like Phantom, then?" Spidey crossed his arms.

That's sort of creepy. Now imagine if they were a couple, reading each other's minds then. Who would ever need to talk? They could probably have dinner together and ride a rollercoaster in their minds all at the same time!

Okay, a little exaggerated, but still!

"Not exactly, just into their memories." Fox glanced at Phantom's resting body once more. "He's a difficult egg to crack; his memories are next to impossible to read. His future is the only one I can't foresee."

Sounds about right, Phantom is as cryptic and enigmatic as masked weirdoes go.

"What memories have you seen?"

"Well, I saw what you all did on the helicarrier back during the Manhattan Incident. It was surreal experiencing the action events that transpired between Phantom and Taskmaster… and I saw the last thing that went through Phantom's mind before he plunged the ship into the river." Fox solemnly told him. "It was… difficult to experience. Phantom definitely doesn't lead a happy life. I think miserable would be the best way to describe it."

"Really? Well, what was the last thing that went through his mind?"

"His family, specifically his daughter." Fox informed him. "He's at the state of mind where he's blaming himself for not being there to be the father he wanted to be for Selena."

I can tell. The man's hard on himself, that's for certain.

"Not really his fault, but… I can see why he blames himself."

"I don't know him well enough as I would like, I don't want to seem like I'm being too intrusive into his private life. I'm just trying to wake him back up." Fox sighed. "I can sense the negativity from it though. You've known him longer, Spider-Man. Perhaps you can help him look more positively about it. It'll improve his outlook on our mission."

Uhm, have you TRIED to convince the Phantom about anything? The man is a stone! Incredibly hard to talk to him about anything personal to him!

"I mean, I can try but…" Spidey shrugged. "He's not going to really listen to me. If he does, he's not going to remotely consider life advice from a teenager."

"Hmm…" Fox pondered on it. "I suppose I could try whenever I get the chance."

"He'll definitely listen to someone who's got experience." Spidey concurred.

Suddenly, something hit the hull of The Eidolon hard, it shook the entire ship, causing everyone to fall out of their cots… and allowing Powerman to win the arm-wrestling match.

Something hit us hard! That must mean… crap, somebody's found us! Could it be Magneto!?

"Whoa!" Spidey ran into the cockpit. "Tiger, what the hell's going on!?"

"S.H.I.E.L.D. jets! They're trying to shoot us down!" Tiger yelled as she gripped the controls, taking evasive action. "I'm going to try to lose them; I need someone on the guns though!"

S.H.I.E.L.D.?! Why the hell are they attacking us out of nowhere?! Shouldn't they at least have tried to communicate a warning to us or something?! What in the world did we do?

"Did someone say guns?!" Wolfe poked his head in the cockpit with a wide wolfish grin. "I'm on it! Powerman, I need you on the other gun!"

"Got it!" Powerman nodded.

Another shot hit the hull, shaking everything inside. Fox and Iron Fist helped Phantom and Sam back onto the cots since they fell off of them as well. Wolfe and Powerman opened up the port and starboard side doors, extending the mounted machine guns out and aiming them back towards the jets in the darkened skies.

The guns roared as they tried to shoot back at the two black jets that had targeted The Eidolon. The S.H.I.E.L.D. insignia were clearly present on the sides of the jets. The jets were part of a newer version of jets that Spidey remembered overhearing Coulson talk about with Director Hill one day, they were faster, harder to shoot down, and harder to detect.

It looks like S.H.I.E.L.D. did an upgrade with their jets… This isn't good at all!

One of the jet's guns began shooting back, perforating the armor on The Eidolon. The other jet began to as well, trying to take down the ship's engines.

"Don't worry, I'll make short work!" Firewalker assured them as he jumped out of The Eidolon, igniting in mid-air and swarming himself around one of the jets.

He began to spin around the enemy jet, causing the engines to overheat and violently explode in mid-air, Firewalker shot out from the flames in victory, setting his sights on the other jet.

Hell yeah! We'll be out of here in no-time with Firewalker on our team!

"That was easy!" Firewalker yelled. "About to wrap this up, fellas, these guys are no problem for us!"

The other jet trailed back from The Eidolon, forcing Firewalker to trail back as well to go after the last jet. It then went into full stealth mode, disappearing into the air.

"Wait, what the?!" Firewalker stopped.

Suddenly, the jet re-appeared beside him, shooting an energy blast that forced Firewalker to dissipate into smoke before it disintegrated him.

"Holy shit! That was close!" Firewalker sped back up to The Eidolon and jumped back into the cabin. "Yeah, good luck taking that one down!"

The hull shook worse than before with the energy blasts the last jet was shooting.

I'm surprised The Eidolon's lasted as long as it has from this kind of firepower!

"How much longer until we're there, Tiger!?" Spidey anxiously asked her.

"Not far now!" Tiger looked at the control panel. "But the armor's almost gone, we're not going to last much longer up here if somebody doesn't get rid of that jet!"

"On it!" A familiar voice spoke over the communicator on-board. "Incoming!"

Who the hell is that?! Wait, I know that voice…

Spidey looked out the window to see a speeding missile-like figure fly towards them at rapid speed. Of course, it was none other than Iron Man.

Thank god, I was for sure we were going to get roasted out here!

He sped past The Eidolon and unleashed a powerful beam from his hands, shooting down the jet's engines and causing it to plunge down into the ground below, violently exploding once it hit. Ava loosened her grip on the controls once she knew that Iron Man took down the other jet.

"That's what I'm talking about!" Powerman cheered, Wolfe howling in victory.

"Yo, is that the same dude we ran into back in LA?!" Firewalker questioned, remembering that War Machine helped them escape the city back when they recruited him.

"No, that's his counterpart, Iron Man!" Spidey corrected him.

"The real one?! No way!" Firewalker was amazed. "That's what's up!"

Iron Man flew next to The Eidolon, talking to them through his communicator. "I'll guide you guys the rest of the way to the Sanctuary. Everyone's already there."

"Who else could be waiting for us?" Tiger wondered.

"Probably Coulson…" Spidey suggested. "I'm just glad to be back in New York!"

Iron Man helped them back to the Sanctuary and Tiger successfully landed The Eidolon back in the spot where they had departed when they first set out on the mission. Powerman helped carry Sam while Wolfe carried Phantom out of the ship and into the Sanctuary, following Iron Man inside.

"Is Phantom okay?!" Stark questioned as soon as he saw the fallen specter.

"He's fine, just knocked out." Spidey assured him.

"But, the amount of blood…"

"Trust me, Tony, he's good!" Spidey anxiously repeated.

Oh boy, here's hoping that he's good! It'll be bad news for everyone if the main Phantom dies off!

On Island M

Magneto sat in the Les Echets mutate chamber in the sub-levels of the fortress, studying the lost subjects, examining their experiment logs, trying to figure whether or not to deploy them into the oncoming fight against the combined effort of their enemies. He spent most of his time down there now, trying to figure out where he went wrong with the experiments, where this would end up after the Wraiths.

Les Echets were made in conjunction both before and after the Athena-Class Projects, they were made to find alternatives to infiltrator mutants, they were made to create new breeds of warriors for the Brotherhood of Mutants. Although mutates, they would have mutant children, and create a perfect bloodline from there on. This was what Magneto had hoped to achieve with the Wraiths, but he soon began to realize the evil in taking away free will from his subjects.

Suddenly, Reaper entered the chamber, looking for the enigmatic leader of the Brotherhood. Magneto watched him walk in.

"Still here?" Reaper's voice echoed through the cold and dark chamber. "Might I remind you that there are enemies en-route to this place. We need to alert everyone to be ready for combat."

"I know." Magneto calmly answered, not even giving Reaper a look. "They'll be ready, as they always are. You don't have faith in them, that I can see."

"Of course I don't trust them." Reaper approached him, crossing his arms.

"Then how do you expect them to trust you?" Magneto swiftly questioned.

"I don't. I expect them to obey me. Trust doesn't have to be included in that equation."

"I see." Magneto stood up from his chair and began pacing around the chamber. "You see, Reaper, the difference between you and I is that my mutants trust me, they believe in our cause. We have an equal balance of fear and respect in that equation."

"What are you trying to say?" Reaper's tone turned aggressive.

"In the time that we've spent, now with Vitruvian's serum in hand, three of my most trusted mutants are dead… Sabretooth, Avalanche, and Toad." Magneto stated in a condescending tone. "They left with you to find these subjects and collect their blood and you were the only one to return each time… why is that?"

Reaper pursed the lips beneath his mask. "I sense that you're accusing me of something."

"I wasn't, I was merely asking. Why? Do you think there is reason to suspect you?"

Reaper's silence spoke more than a million words to Magneto, but the leader decided not to continue prodding his questionable ally.

"But, never mind that. I think it is time to resurrect these ancient fossils." Magneto looked up at the frozen subjects. "When dealing with factions like the Avengers and the X-Men at our door, it warrants more than just ordinary mutants to be deployed."

"I agree." Reaper looked up at them alongside Magneto. "Soon, Chronos's blood will be in our hands, and the Vitruvian Serum will be complete. And then… we will wreak havoc against the masses."

Magneto glanced over to Reaper with a disapproving eye, then back at the frozen subjects. "Yes... we will see."

The Sanctuary, New York… (Phantom's POV)…

Cold chills were sent up his spine as the Phantom woke up, sitting upright in his bed. He quickly realized he wasn't on the beach-side shore of Lake Michigan, he was back in the Sanctuary in New York. They had escaped now for certain, and he was resting, healing back to health for the moment he would wake back up.

He looked to his side and saw Fox sitting at his side; she stared at him with an anxious smile. She had removed her hood and scarf, her hair was let down, and she wore a white cloth shirt with black jeans.

"Ph-Phantom?!" Fox's voice sounded surprised, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Are you okay?"

Fox? What the… Where in the hell did I end up? Have I died yet?

Selena… I remember seeing her in my vision… Reaper's got her! I must… get up…

"Ok, okay…?" Phantom still felt a bit light-headed. "Fox… What…. What happened?"

"We escaped Chicago all right, we're back in the Sanctuary now, don't worry." Fox helped him rest back down, placing his head onto the pillow. "You scared us all with all the blood you lost helping to heal White Tiger up."

Blood? Ava… Ava?! I hope she made it all right… Seeming that she did, since we're all safe here in Sanctuary now.

"Ava, is she okay?" Phantom anxiously asked.

"She's fine, Phantom. She's okay, they're all okay!"

"Where is everyone?" Phantom started looked around, realizing Fox was the only one in the room.

"They're in a meeting with that Agent Coulson fellow, him, Iron Man, and this woman named Maria Hill?"

Sounds like the party's here then, I wonder where the X-Men and the rest of the Avengers are though. Now with Specter Haven formed up, we don't have much time left to hit Magneto where he lives and… for me… to save my daughter. God, I hope she's okay…

"Director Hill's here?" Phantom tried to get back up again but Fox placed her hand on his bare chest, pushing him back down onto the bed.

"Stop or you'll rip up the bandaging." Fox sternly told him.

I'm sorry, but I could've sworn she said "bandaging"… She did didn't she?

"Bandaging?" Phantom then realized he was wearing nothing but a black pair of trousers on his legs. He had bandages up and around his arms and other parts of his upper body. His mask and armor were all gone.

"Fox, why do I have bandaging on? I have a healing factor, I don't need this!"

"I thought that too, but I wanted to make sure you stopped bleeding, so I removed your gear, and guess what?" Fox crossed your arms. "You didn't stop bleeding, tonto."

Sassiness will get her nowhere with me. It's cute, but it will get her nowhere.

"I'm no fool, that's impossible!" Phantom couldn't believe it for a second. "I've never had that issue before, I survived a helicarrier explosion for Christ's sake!"

"I know." Fox shrugged her shoulders. "I couldn't tell you what happened, but you're healing up better now that I patched you up."

Patched me up? What did we run out of medics on-board the Tri-Carrier or something?

"And you're a medical expert all of a sudden?" Phantom skeptically asked.

Fox rolled her eyes. "Well, if you actually read the dossier that S.H.I.E.L.D. handed you, you would've seen that I did volunteer work at the local hospital, where I learned the basics and then some from the staff that worked there."

"I must've overlooked it."

"I think you did." Fox smirked.

Well then, I must've been more preoccupied with reading about her mutate abilities than for me to read about what she actually did as a person.

"Well, I appreciate you helping me out, Fox. You didn't have to do that." Phantom gratefully told her. "Honestly, anyone else could've taken care of it."

"Yeah well, I didn't want to leave you hanging." Fox assured him.

I'm sure she didn't… which leads me to my next question…

"I see." Phantom watched as she looked around the room. "…And did you also remove my armor off my body as well?"

Fox was confused at the question at first, and then couldn't help the red flush that overcame her cheeks. "It wasn't easy, but I made sure that your stuff was fine, don't worry. Wolfe said he'd clean the blood off for you, since he was 'good at washing blood off things'… or something like that."

The last thing I'd want is for Wolfe to hold onto my gear, even if it's for "cleaning". Next thing I know, it'll be sprayed with camouflage and Wolfe will claim it as my "hunting gear". You might not believe it but I've read the things that go through that man's mind. If it isn't about hunting, women, or jerky, it just doesn't exist on his mind.

"That's not necessary; I can take care of my own gear." Phantom stubbornly told her.

"Well, he's doing it out of respect for you, you're our leader now, right?"

Yes, Specter Haven's leader, not master.

"Yes, but that doesn't make you all my servants. We're all teammates here."

"Well, what are we if not teammates for simply offering to clean your gear for you?" Fox questioned.

Generosity that I don't expect from many people… Hmm…

"I suppose you're right then." Phantom sighed. "Thank you, once again."

"No problem." Fox got up and walked over to his other side to inspect a bandage he had near his bracers.

He watched her unwrap it to see the healing did its magic on the wound that didn't heal up. She kept staring at his bracers that ran from his knuckles down to his elbows, exposing only the underside of his forearm.

"Does it hurt?" Fox curiously asked.

"I got used to the pain." Phantom shrugged.

Truth be told, I think I lost feeling from the nerves in my arms from overexposure to so much pain and electric sensory overload. It'll explain why I can't feel it anymore.

"How did this happen to you…?"

"When I was imprisoned, they felt it appropriate to keep me from disappearing by melting these bracers onto my arms to keep me from escaping or disappearing, the electric pulse in them has an undying battery stored inside, with a shock that used to stun me every time I tried to disappear." Phantom loosely explained. "It's not a memory I'd rather share."

"I'm sorry to hear that." Fox shook her head after hearing that. "Only monsters would do something like this to a man."

Monsters? Maybe, but none as heartless as the men who did what they did to her.

"My story is little compared to what they did to you." Phantom sympathized.

"Don't worry about what they did to me…" Fox walked back around to sit where she was sitting before. "It's over now and I live for the future, not for the past, Phantom."

Perhaps it's better if I don't bring it up to her then. But I'm rather curious about another aspect of her abilities, though.

"So, tell me… you can read the future of others but what about yourself?" Phantom curiously asked. "What do you foresee in your future?"

"Funny question." Fox smiled. "I wondered that myself sometimes, but I realize that most of the time I can see visions or perceptions of my future in my dreams. Like you saw, I'll end up painting what I saw so that I can piece my future together… you know, like a… Hmm… like a…"

"A puzzle." Phantom finished the sentence for her.

"Exactly!" Fox excitedly agreed. "I'll only get parts though, not enough for any of it to make sense. I'll dream of having a happy picnic one day then the next I'm running through the woods away from a killer or something, nothing too unusual."

Sounds unusual enough for people of our caliber, at least.

"Is there anything in particular that's stood out to you, though? Maybe a sign of better fortune?"

Fox smiled once more and looked down at the ground, then back up to Phantom. "You mean something that I've discovered to be good luck so far?"

"Sure, something like that." Phantom nodded, smiling to her as well.

"Well, the only thing worth mentioning… is you." Fox stood up as she said this.

Me? Good luck? She must be pulling my leg or something. Good one, Fox, I'll have to write that one down in my journal of hard-to-laugh-at jokes.

"I'm not really that good of luck but… I appreciate you saying so." Phantom told her with the all the sincerity of his heart.

"Think so?" Fox shook her head. "Nah, I think you're good luck enough."

"Thanks."

She shrugged. "Don't mention it, now, I'm going to go check on the others, see if they're done with the meeting, so don't worry, I'll be right back."

Phantom watched as she walked out the black metallic door that accompanied the concrete-walled room of his.

"I appreciate you saying so…?" Come on, Phantom, even you can thank a lady better than that. Keep it together, man!

I need to get to Coulson fast and explain to him with situation with Selena and Reaper. Time isn't on my side this time around, and I must get to her before Reaper can complete his experiment and… turn Selena. I can't let that happen.

Author's Note: Another chapter down, slowly inching closer to the end :D I kept this one shorter than usual (Yeah, I know, a couple thousand words is short to me! :P sorry!), so I'll try updating again this weekend or another time to follow-up with Coulson, Hill, and Stark's meeting with the rest of the team. I'll take up any suggestions you guys might have as to what else they need to do before they embark to Island M to face off with Reaper and Magneto. Please let me know :) As always, feedback is appreciated! :D

Reader Responses:

The Night Hunter: Agreed, I'll have to better brainstorm the last story in the trilogy as well, I just hope it doesn't take me a year and a half to finish as well. :P I wanted to give Phantom a little bit calmer awakening since he usually collects himself to a calmer state of mind, even in distress, I wanted to also make sure to emphasize in his thoughts how serious everything's gotten, I just didn't want him to explode and rampage without a single thing he knew he could do or have done in the moment. Thanks for your review though :D Please let me know what you think about this one!

True Beast 01: Thank you! :D I think an interesting background is important to give to an antagonist as interesting and as complex as Reaper, especially with his vitality to the central plot of the story. I've been having him in mind since Chapter 1 of the first story, and what I want to do is jump back and forth between situations now and in his past so that the readers can understand a little bit more as to the why and the how of him ending up with Magneto in this story. What do you think? Please let me know! :)

Guest: Thank you! I'm really glad that you did! :D I'll definitely add more Ava and Peter moments, I really want to delve into the more mature part of their relationship with each other and give them a deeper understanding between being superheroes and being two teenagers in love, giving them the ability to manage their relationship despite what they do, you know? This chapter was definitely a Phantom and Fox sort of chapter, but regardless, I'm trying to cut back on how long these chapters are so they're quicker reads for everyone! :O Thanks for the review and please let me know what you think on this one! :D

Thank you all for reading! :D
