What happened last:
After Marceline and Bubblegum returned to the Nightosphere they were able to successfully remove Finn's name from the Guild of Assassin's hit list. While they were gone, Lumpy Space Princess showed up and started asking Jake a lot of questions.
Jake waited until LSP left the room to say anything.
J: "Dang Beemo, LSP must really care about her nails… wait… does she even have nails…?"
BMO: "I don't know, Jake. And quite frankly, I don't want to think about that."
J: "Heh heh. Yeah."
J: "I just hope PB and Marcy get back soon. I'm sure LSP is gonna come back and ask like a million more questions. And I don't know if I can handle that." He was joking around although somewhat in a serious way.
Jake and Beemo continued to talk and do whatever they wanted as they passed the time, patiently waiting for everyone to return.
Back to Finn and Flame Princess
FP: "Remember, be mysterious..." She thought to herself.
They were both sitting on the princess's bed. Finn was waiting for her to tell him what she wanted to tell him, but she seemed like she was stalling.
FP: "So Finn…" She said, trying to sound seductive as the flames coming from her body grew slightly brighter.
F: "W-what…" He said almost whispering.
FP: "Nothing." She said in her normal voice as she turned her head away.
She was attempting to act mysterious but was not quite grasping the concept. She was just coming off as a bit weird.
F: "Uh… ok? So… what did you need to tell me?"
Flame Princess scooted a bit closer to Finn.
FP: "Finn I uh…" She was beginning to lose her composure. She was trying to sound confident but she just got nervous and her cheeks blushed bright crimson.
F: "Flame Princess, you can tell me what's up. It's ok.
FP: "It's just… I thought that honesty is all that I would ever need from people. Like, if everyone was honest then there couldn't ever be problems. But I was wrong… it worked for a little while but then the people that didn't like me just ignored me and that, of course, upset me. Then I got really lonely because nobody liked me and they couldn't lie and say they did because my people understand that honesty is the law of the land. And if they couldn't lie to me then they all just avoided me altogether. I'm soo lonely Finn…" She said as her eyes began to tear up.
She found honesty but all it ever brought her was pain.
F: "Flame Princess…" He said as he raised his hand and was about to hug her, but he didn't want to get too comfortable with her.
FP: "I just wanted to tell you... that I've decided that we can date again. I thought about our breakup and I realized that everyone makes mistakes…" She was being honest but it still came off as rude.
F: "Ummm… I don't think it works that way FP…" He replied.
FP: "Why not? Everything worked soo well before. It can be just like that." She said as she hugged Finn.
He didn't return the hug at all; he just let her embrace him. The fiery princess was still a bit socially awkward with certain social interactions but that wasn't entirely her fault. That and the fact that she didn't know anything about Finn's current relationship status made the situation all the more uncomfortable.
Finn quickly realized that he needed to get away from FP as soon as possible. She wanted him but didn't know about Marceline.
This could end very badly…
F: "B-because I just can't…"
FP: "Well… can you kiss me then?"
A shock was sent throughout Finn's body. She was oddly straight forward and it caught Finn off-guard. He was speechless.
F: "Why is she acting like this?" He thought to himself.
FP: "Well?"
Finn, in all honesty, wanted to kiss Flame Princess. He still had feelings for her and she has always been incredibly beautiful.
F: "I can't FP."
FP: "Well, do you want to?"
Finn wanted to lie to her, but he promised her that he would never lie again so he made sure that he wouldn't.
F: "I… yes…"
FP: "Then why don't you?" She said as she got close to Finn's face.
F:" Because FP… I'm seeing someone." He said as he turned his head away.
Flame Princess would have felt destroyed from hearing this fact but she thought that it wasn't hopeless. She just needed to try harder…
FP: "But Finn, we're all alone now. And there's nothing standing in our way. We could make it like it used to be."
F: "It doesn't work like that princess…" He said in all honesty although he did want her.
FP: "But I figured out the problem with me. I just didn't know what it was until I figured out that my heart is just unstable just like my elemental matrix." She was telling Finn things that he mostly knew already.
F: "You say the problem's in your heart, but the problem's who you are, FP…"
FP: "Finn… why would you say that?"
F: "I had to be honest with you." This conversation was beginning to take its toll on Finn's heart.
Flame Princess realized that she's not getting anywhere so she might as well tell Finn what she actually needed to in the first place.
FP: "Finn… the real reason I brought you over is because…" She said as she stood up and looked out the window in her room.
FP: "…I need a king. I've been called Flame Queen soo much and it's difficult to rule a kingdom alone. I don't have henchmen or butlers like other kingdoms. It's different ruling an evil kingdom; it requires more… attention."
F: "W-what are you saying?" He knew exactly what she was getting at…
FP: "Finn, be my king. We could rule these weak and pitiful fire people together. You could have anything you've ever wanted." She said as she turned around and started walking towards Finn. Her flame was growing brighter and she looked magnificent.
She walked in his direction and her clothes seemed to dissolve into underwear.
Finn's never seen Flame princess like this before or even seen her act like this. Regardless of his flame shield, the temperature in the room seemed to increase sharply. He had no idea how to react.
She was absolutely stunning. It would be both and understatement and redundant to say that she looked hot right now. Finn was losing the feeling in his feet because of this girl standing in front of him.
Flame Princess walked up to him, sat in his lap seductively and slowly pushed him backwards. She leaned in to kiss Finn and the hero boy just closed his eyes and prepared to let it happen; not resisting in the slightest. His adrenaline was pumping with the same speed and intensity that it does when Marceline acts like this…
She got about an inch away from his face and stopped herself.
Finn opened his eyes to see the princess sit up.
FP: "I can't do it, Finn."
F: "FP…" he didn't know what to say.
FP: "I still love you. I do. But I don't want to be the person that messes up your relationship with Marceline."
F: "She knew?!" The thought rang throughout his mind.
He didn't know what to say so he let his heart do the talking.
F: "I love you too Flame Princess." He said as he hugged her. He wanted her to know how sincere he was.
It could have been a mistake that Finn told Flame Princess that he still loved her but he didn't bother to think about that for the time being. And with that, he's told two princesses that he loved them recently. His heart is definitely on overdrive right now. He felt like he did something wrong but in the end, nothing happened. He wasn't trying to lead Flame Princess on or anything. She was just being assertive.
FP: "I guess you should probably go then…"
F: "Yeah, I guess I should."
Flame Princess then got off of Finn's lap and he got up and started to leave. He turned around as he was walking out of her room to get one last glance and to convey a silent message to thank her.
All he saw was that her clothes began to disintegrate off of her body. She was almost completely naked at this point and Finn quickly turned around and left. His cheeks were bright red from almost seeing all of the fiery princesses exposed body.
F: "Oh man, I gotta get outta here…" He thought as he was leaving the castle.
Once Finn was out of earshot, the princess giggled to herself and her clothes seemed to materialize again.
FP: "And that is how you be mysterious." She said contently.
Back to Jake and Beemo
J: "Beemo! Ok, I give up you win cloud hunt!" Jake and Beemo were playing cloud hunt. Regardless of his mental block with the game that usually makes him reluctant to play, Beemo challenged him and he doesn't back down from challenges.
J: "C'mon Beemo! This is boring. You win." He said as he walked around one of the rooms in the Candy Kingdom.
Suddenly, Beemo came down from the ceiling like an adorable little ninja. He jumped on Jake's shoulder and chopped him on the neck. Beemo's attack was not very effective…
BMO: "Beemo chop! You're lucky this is just a game Jake, because nobody can survive a deadly attack from Beemo the Ninja." Beemo said as he jumped off of Jake's shoulder, did a back flip and landed it perfectly.
Beemo was wearing Peppermint Butler's untied bowtie around his head like a bandana.
J: "Also if this wasn't just a game I probably wouldn't be playing cloud hunt with someone that wants to kill me." He said as he crossed his arms smugly. His logic couldn't possibly be beaten.
BMO: "But Jake… You wouldn't know that someone would want to kill you if that person was a ninja." Beemo said cutely, not knowing that his logic made even more sense than Jake's.
J: "No that's… It doesn't… whatever Beemo." He was defeated.
Right after Jake's sentence was over, a little icon on Beemo's screen began to blink.
J: "What's that Beemo?"
It was a notification that showed that Princess Bubblegum is nearby. Yet another odd thing that Finn had installed on Beemo just like the sleep schedule tracker. Nobody really understood how the program worked it just, worked. Some would think that all of these things that Beemo had to keep tabs on the princess were weird but Finn honestly used them to help keep her safe. Over the years they've come in handy for many different situations.
BMO: "Oh! Marceline and Princess Bubblegum are about to return."
J: "Oh, cool. Whe—"
Suddenly the lighting in the room seemed to dim as a portal connecting the two worlds together ripped open with an almost subsonic tearing sound.
Princess bubblegum and Marceline promptly hopped out of the portal and the vampire queen closed it behind them. Marceline looked around the room to figure out which room in the castle she was in.
M: "Heck yes! I'm getting better at this."
PB: "Yeah, that's pretty good Marcy. You only missed your mark by about 100 feet." She said as she giggled to herself a bit.
M: "Oh shut up, you. It's a lot harder than you think."
PB: "Yeah, yeah. Sure…"
Jake walked up to the two girls and asked them how their trip went.
J: "Sup ladies? How did the hacking go?"
PB: "It went pretty well. I was able to… We were able to successfully remove the hit from Finn's head and put him on the blacklist so this will never happen again." She made sure to give Marceline credit as well.
J: "Well, that's good. At least we don't have to worry about those assassins anymore."
Suddenly Lumpy Space Princess heard all the commotion and entered the room, interrupting everyone in the process.
LSP: "Oh my GLOB!" She yelled out of nowhere as she floated into the room.
PB: "Oh, hey girl."
LSP: "Haaaaay girl."
PB: "What are you doing here?"
LSP: "Uh! It's our manicure and gossip day. Duh!" She said as she put her hands on her lumps.
PB:" Oh, right…" She began to blush. She didn't really want other people to know how much she loved to gossip although it was mostly obvious to everyone at this point.
LSP: "Oh, and…" She stopped when she saw Marceline.
She had something to tell her but she didn't want to gossip with any non-girls in the room.
LSP: "Jake and Beemo, can you guys like… leave so we can have girl talk?"
J: "You can just talk in front of us, I don't really mind. I got a girl already so I know how it goes." He said, trying to sound cool.
LSP: "NO! You don't know how it goes now get the LUMP outta here!" She yelled a bit louder and angrier than she needed to.
J: "Sheesh! Let's just go Beemo."
Beemo didn't bother to say anything. The two just walked out of the room to find something else to do.
LSP: "Anyways so… I like totally have some good dirt on Finn."
Lumpy Space Princess is seriously about to tell Marceline her "news" just like this; without sincerity or empathy.
PB: "O-m-g. Like… no way?!"
The princess coughed a few times and then re-stated her sentence.
PB: "I mean… really?"
LSP: "Yeah totally!"
Marceline was just listening. She wasn't the gossiping type so she lust listened and learned. She was beginning to feel an odd pressure in her chest; an all-too-familiar feeling that she's experienced time and time again. She automatically expects the worst and doesn't really bother to hope for anything. She's lived her life with things being given to her on a silver platter at one moment then being ripped away from her the next. She suspects that this gossip will be the latter of the two.
She just bit her tongue and waited to hear whatever was about to be said.
