After the chaos in San Francisco, I returned to Rain in Berlin. News of my victory in San Francisco had spread so quickly that when I finally did return to Berlin, I was greeted with open arms once again as a god. Crowds of people surrounded the airport as I landed the small private plane. Each one cheering for me, but I knew that they were only cheering for me out of fear. Humans were pathetic creatures that clung to life so desperately.

When I got off the plane, a small man in a suit approached me, "Lord Wesker, Lady Ocampo has news of the traitor Ada Wong. She would like you to return to the mansion as soon as you could."

I patted the man on his shoulder and smiled, "Glad to hear it."

The man walked me through the crowd of people and showed me to a nice long black limo. I got into the limo and the driver quickly drove me to the mansion. As I got out, I could not help but notice how empty the mansion was now. Most of the employees had left out of fear, leaving behind dying plants and grass to grow wildly. I walked down the concrete path to the large double doors. I stopped at the doors, the only feeling I could feel now was joy. I had defeated the BSAA and now I was about to get rid of the only person who threatened my empire. I gripped the door handles tightly and pushed them open slowly.

Rain was nowhere to be seen. I smiled as I shouted, "Honey, I'm home!"

A few moments later, one of the ground floor doors open and Rain walked into the huge room. She had a file in her hand and was wearing her tactical gear and sunglasses. I approached her, and before she could hand me the file, my joy overcame me. I grabbed her around the waist and kissed her. He lips were warm and wet against mine. After we embraced for a bit she pulled back with a shocked and confused look on her face, "That was unexpected Alex."

I smiled, "I'm full of surprises, but enough of that. I want to hear what you have for me."

Before Rain opened the file, she gave me a hard and long glare, "Before I share with you anything on Ada, I want you to know something about the BSAA."

I stood up straight and placed my hands on my sides, "What about them? Without a leader, they are doomed to collapse. Our army should have no trouble overwhelming them."

Rain shook her head, "Leaders are easy to replace Alex, you of all people should know that."

I took a deep breath out of annoyance and waited for Rain to continue, "The BSAA has replaced their leader with none other than Chris Redfield. They swore him in from his hospital bed just a few hours ago."

"Well I'll be damned. That man sure is persistent." I replied relaxing my arms, "But what can he possibly do that his former director couldn't?. The man is nothing to worry about and will be crushed just as easily."

Rain thrust the file into my chest, "Don't count on it. The man is a harden soldier, and has gone toe-to-toe with you on several occasions. Every time he has survived. Also, do not forget that he killed Albert."

I felt my joy quickly turn to rage, "And you seem to forget that I am not Albert. I may love you greatly, but do not think for a second I will let you stand here and underestimate me."

Rain took several steps toward me, not backing down, "Alex, I have never underestimated you. It is my duty to protect you, and I have done so for all these years, but it seems that my job has turned from protecting you from outside forces to protecting you from yourself. You are underestimating Chris Redfield and forgetting that he is someone that should not be underestimated."

With the folder in my hand, I placed both my hands on Rain's shoulders. She jumped slightly, and then jumped again as I kissed her on her forehead. When I pulled back and started to walk away with the folder I finally managed to calm down, "Rain, you are absolutely right. I have been underestimating Chris. I am sorry, also, that I forced you into becoming a babysitter for me. That was never the plan."

Rain let out a silent laugh, "Alex, you don't have to be sorry for anything. I love you and I will always be there to protect you, whether it's from others or yourself."

I smiled as I opened the folder. My back was to Rain so that she couldn't see a single tear roll down my face. Her words had cut me deeper than any knife or bullet has in the past. She was correct about everything. I had become a huge burden on her and I worried that everything would come crashing around us. I was underestimating the humans. This war should have been over on the first night, but it has lasted for almost a month now. I even trusted a few of the humans, and they too betrayed me in the end.

I shook the tear off my face and focused on the file. The file showed Ada hiding in Iraq wearing a turban and dark brown robes. There were several pictures of her fighting alongside the rebels in the Middle East, but none of them were BSAA troops. The last page was a phone call between Ada and Leon.

Ada: Leon, is that you?

Leon: It's me Ada, where are you? How did you get this number?

Ada: A spy has her methods. I need you to come to Baghdad.

Leon: Baghdad? That place is a warzone.

Ada: I know, I've been hiding here for a while now helping the rebels fight Alex's men. However, I fear that my time is up here.

Leon: What do you mean?

Ada: I think Alex might have found me.

Leon: Then disappear like you always do.

Ada: It's not that simple anymore. I have data on Alex that I need to give you, but it must be done in person. It will help turn this war around and stop Alex from killing the human race. Please hurry. I will be by the Baghdad clock tower, you cannot miss it.

END OF PHONE CALL

I crumpled the file, "So she did steal the data on Jake and Sherry."

"It seems that way." Rain replied.

"When was this message intercepted?"

"I just got the file today."

I turned to Rain who was just a few feet from me, "What about Leon's location?"

"He is currently on board a commercial airliner heading to Iraq. He just left the United States. My intelligence informs me that he is alone and the BSAA has nothing to do with his trip."

I felt my fists squeeze the file harder, "Do we have any agents or titans on the plane?"

Rain shook her head, "Sadly we do not. My agent was captured right after he gave me the heads up on Leon."

I tossed the file to the floor, "Then we need to get to Iraq first."
